Beautiful venue once you get in! Quite unassuming from the front, but don t be fooled - lovely place. Great conference facilities, with staff more than willing to go the extra mile every time. Food also, may I add, is very good! Location is also very good - close enough to everything you need!
Clean room! Loved the upgrade, food for breakfast was pretty good too
Not only is it well maintained and beautiful but the staff are just lovely. Best service I've had in ages would happily book again :) keep up the great work guys, you're smashing it :)
In managed isolation here right now. This place is incredible. Stafford so caring, and accommodating. Everyone is bright, cheerful and helpful. The meals are incredible and they are very helpful with any dietary issues. The rooms are a good size, clean towels, sheets, cleaning items and personal laundry are only a phone call away.
I can't rate this place highly enough. Mazz Williams

Somebody should teach some manners to Ms. Donna, a waiter in the restaurant who rolls her eyes just because you politely ask her for a toothpick, while she mumbles that they are on the counter and I can help myself. It felt very awkward and unwelcoming.
The hotel is beautiful, the rest of the staff very kind and courteous and the quality of the food at the restaurant exceptional.
The hotel is beautiful and quiet. Outside the window is the garden. There is also a free time free shuttle bus to the City (reservation required). The room was clean and very cost effective.
The restaurant is in a very pleasant setting. We were a party of 5. The service was of a high standard. Our lunch choices looked and tasted great. We felt it was money well spent.
Very good value for money. The rooms are very clean and well maintained. The shower is amazing. The breakfast is also very nice.
Great place too stay and hold a function..we had my son's wedding and reception there and the food and staff were amazing they could not do enough for us and made the room look amazing to have the ceremony in as it was wet outside..try them you won't be disappointed.
Easy parking, friendly staff, clean rooms, and there was a moat. Great place to stay.
Glad i could open the window for fresh air. Gym is tiny. Restaurant room is cosy with court garden view.
Good hotel in a great position by the Hagley Park. A short walk into the city centre. Would return.
One of the best Hilton hotels! Amazing service and very comfy room! Would definitely stay again!
Disappointed with the menu as was looking forward to Wagyu Steak & Beef Cheeks as advertised on website but all in all, tasty salads with calamari, although calamari was thin but ok. Salmon and Blue Cod deliciously cooked. Cheese board was good, cheesecake also good. Service friendly enough. Atmosphere comfortable and decor could do with an update. Pleasant evening.
Lovely meal & helpful staff. Great place for a work function.
Wow! Is all I can say. I was so nervous about doing hotel isolation. Needless to say the team have been fantastic! The process was seem less and stress free for the passengers.
Worried about food? No need! The serving sizes are so generous and they are great at meeting dietary requirements. I have actually had to ask to stop some of the meals (no need for food to go to waste).
The time outside is very generous! I can t thank the team enough. If you are heading here full of worry like I was I hope this review serves you well.
I don t want to do isolation again lol but if I have to I would like it to be here!
Nice staff , delicious cookie, a bit old but well - maintained room. One thing is that wifi is on and off...
Meal was delicious. Waiting for an hour to eat not good. Waitress unable to deal with people shifting places. No tea or coffee offered but was part of the $31 lunch deal.
Nice garden hotel. Rooms are a good size, but fairly basic. I found the showers quite cramped.
Attended for a work Christmas function. The food was pretty terrible. The dj was awful. I wouldn't recommend it, and definitely not for the price.
Had a lovely stay during a recent visit. Located just outside the main city area, it s a lovely short walk through the nearby park. Friendly and courteous staff, with clean comfortable rooms, although a bit outdated.
Loved the event that we attended and the meal was excellent
Went to use meeting rooms and found them to be a little run down.
Nice place to relax with a lot o greenery surroundings.
Love this hotel. We always stay here and the service is outstanding.
Great location with moderate rooms. Bed is nice, AC difficult to control as it is old cooling/warming based. Wi-Fi is horrible, remind me on network connections of 90s. Food in restaurant is great. Ambience in restaurant and bar is OK
Very nice place. A little hidden but very quiet area.
Long wait for the room to be completed. Room clean and okay.
Restaurant like in a train station hall. Little recommendable.
Staff really helpful for the event that I attended. Had lunch was quite tasty, crumbled fish was really good. Nice atmosphere, plenty of parking.
Very nice rooms , hotel is great.. they have Team member her name is Jade ,she works at the restaurant , she is the most friendly staff i have ever met . She is a treasure to this hotel
It was a lovely meal with my niece getting engaged with family. Thanks to all the staff who looked After us
Regards mitch
Hotel is beautiful, probably the best gardens at any hotel I've been at.
Only there for a course Premises very dated In the Camelot Room Dated Cold Food was ok U hv the location location location Hope we go back to the Commodore next year
The steak as hard as my shoes, so it's a nope from me for the food! Bad experience from the food. The strawberry mojito is awesome, staff service is good.
The rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff are all friendly, the breakfast is delicious, there is a park nearby, and unlike the city, I think it's easy to spend.
Great service
Lovely restraunt.
A beautiful hotel right next to the Botanic Gardens. The staff were very friendly, the room was cosy (and the bed was phenomenal). We ate at the restaurant for dinner and I had the venison medallions. Over a 3 week holiday that was THE best meal of the trip, and very decently priced. We would definitely go again.
Nested iN the residential area of Riccarton lies a Charming 3 story hotel set in a lush garden of carefully laid out floral and fauna making this a nice stopover off you are driving or plan to take a pit stop to your next destination within Christchurch.
The location is 1.2km walk to the nearest township of Riccarton and a 3.9km walk though the botanic gardens to the main city of Christchurch.
Staff are friendly and helpful and provide several complimentary return transfers to Riccarton (1) and the city (6) staring at 0915hrs.
Rooms are basic though recently refurbished and the beds are comfortable. Have a room facing the inner courtyard for a lovely view in the early morning sunshine.
The food served at breakfast is decent but variety could be greater for $32.n
Had a great time at the Chateau on the Park. The staff was welcoming and the room was fantastic.
The room, 10/10; clean, quiet and warm.
Amenities, 8/10; amenities are clean, swimming pool is inaccessible in winter due to the cold. (Unless you appreciate cold water)
The view, 1/10; no view at all.
Good hotel. Perhaps not the newest. But comfortable and if you have a car, easy to access most parts of Christchurch. The restaurant does a fabulous Fillet Steak too.
Had lunch at the brasserie. A very attractive menu, friendly staff, and indoor/outdoor seating. Reasonable prices. A number of famous wines on the list.
Lovely hotel, expensive. Beautiful flowers grown inside the hotel. Clicked plenty of photos
A lovely hotel, with some beautifully scenic walkways, great staff, and luxurious rooms/accommodations. The restaurant at the hotel is delightful, with some excellent cuisine. Within walking distance of some other great eatery's. If you are in town for a stay, I would highly recommend Dux Dine and using the Limes for transportation. Fun, easy way to see the city efficiently.
Beautiful, gardened and very quaint. Located by a huge park , containing the Botanical Gardens and the city center
The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful. Loved my stay for 4 nights. Five thumbs up
Beautiful hotel nonetheless but the management is highly disappointing. My family was charged a hefty amount of 250 NZD for dumping used cigarettes in the room dustbin. First of all i don't promote the use of cigarettes but we all knew the rules that its a non smoking room so we smoked outside in the garden infront of our rooms and dumped the extinguished cigs in the room garbage bin since there were no visible cigarette disposal units outside in the garden and its irresponsible to pollute a beautiful garden with used cigarettes. So my point being, we were illogically charged, to which we complied and apologized without quarreling or making a scene. But the point remains we never smoked in the room nor the smoke detectors lit up, secondly if it were rightly so then we should have been charged and accused while checking out on the day of the incident rather we were charged 4-5 days later when we revisited the hotel telling that we contaminated the room which needed special cleaning. So apparently if we had dumped them in the garden or flushed them then it was okay...astonishing. Honestly if its necessary then kindly make the complete hotel premises a non-smoking zone, it will be highly appreciated. And the FnB(Food and Beverage) services in the restaurant takes a lot of time. We had to wait 40 mins for a single sandwich that came out wrong...
To be fair, its a well built and beautiful hotel but the system and services are not giving me any happy memories.
Excellent food surrounded by beautiful garden for lunch
Nice hotel, location is 20 mins stroll to city via parklands, shower was a little cramp, beds were on the softer side and TV was old school flat panel, room was clean, being diamond members the breakfast was very good and wifi very fast and excellent value for money
Great location, lovely gardens and clean rooms. Would suggest a bathroom renovation in the future but will be back again when visiting Christchurch.
I am really shocked at the reviews this place is disgusting I Laid Towels all over the floor for my children so they didn t catch anything I could not wait for our stay to be over - we were on a 6 week trip and this was the worst hotel we stayed at -
The beds the linens
The walls everything
we reserved a suite and got a handi cap room after being told our room was double booked - and the other guest checked in before us
The Garden is stunning but beware of the rats they are all over out there and very large -
The save the day for us at this place was the a lovely lady Wendy who worked in the dining room she really made our stay she was fun and personable loved her job - we had dinner 3 nights at the hotel being we returned late from our day trips and she was such a pleasure to be around
Christ church is beautiful this place is not it needs a complete overhaul -
Beware of the lower levels they have different sections of the hotel I looked at 3 rooms and they all were 2 star quality i hoped they were joking and were keeping a updated clean room in there back pocket to offer us but they were not - ESPECIALLY W KIDS I WOULD GO SOMEWHERE ELSE BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS SANITIZER and slippers you can throw away after -
Also don t expect to get your room as the hotel is over booked by practice
Cheers
Just ok very expensive nothing special food wise. The staff were nice one free bubbles for $165 if you wanted to buy drinks very expensive.
Very cozy hotel, good restaurant and beautiful garden
Very nice ambience. How ever let down by small things. We are staying for 9 days but still have to pay extra for breakfast (nz$27.00 per person). Fridge in the room freezes water and milk. They sent some one to fix it, but in the end we were told nothing could be done. The "she'll be right" attitude is not appropriate in such a hotel.
Good place if you don't mind the noise of people talking the high old celling design gives that impression... Food is fabulous and the service is spot on... One if the places to eat at for good food.
As soon as you walk in you are greeted by a fantastic front desk team who hand you a warm cookie while they complete your check in formalities.
The rooms were impeccably clean and well appointed. The Californian king bed was perfect and I had an awesome nights sleep.
The bathroom was to the standards that you would expect from a 4star hotel, very practical and functional.
The was heaps of choice at Breakfast and the team was waitresses were very attentive and offered exceptional customer service!
Check out was a breeze and took only a couple of minutes. The front team is very efficient and the concierge service is spot on.
The hotel offered free WI-FI which was at a decent speed.
I would recommend staying here and would definitely stay here again!
Our group had our Christmas lunch here and it was really beautiful. Can highly recommend this hotel
