I went for wine tasting and I didn't even drink the wine because I'm underage so basically, I went to take pictures. The pictures turned out amazing and I loved the view. 10/10 will go again in 2 months when I'm 21.

My wife and I stayed here for our 5 year anniversary. We had an amazing experience at Chateau Chantal. During our stay we tried the Wine Education dinner and had a blast. Some people might be turned off by the group meal setting but we found it made the experience more enjoyable talking with other couples between the courses. There was a couple there who had just gotten married so there was a large portion of the dinner group taken up by their wedding party which was fun to be a part of. The food was incredible and the wine pairings were perfect. We felt that the moderator and chef did an excellent job describing the meals and how the wine played with the course. The tour beforehand was enjoyable too, getting to learn the different steps in the making process. Overall I know more about wine now than I ever thought I would.

One of the nicest parts of staying at the Chateau Chantal was that you have the opportunity to have your tasting after everything has closed to the general public. They leave out the bottles with spouts on them so you can get in your wine tasting on your own (as part of staying overnight you get 6 samples and 1 glass per day). Since we had arrived later in the day and had to get ready for the wine education dinner we didn't have time to have our visit to the tasting room so we went after the dinner. It was an awesome experience just lounging around the tasting room and shop with the only people around being others that were staying the night.

The rooms were very large for a bed and breakfast with very reasonably priced items in the room to go with any wines you wanted. The breakfast the next day was great. I had expected something simple like pastries, fruit, and coffee and maybe a choice of some eggs but what was a pleasant surprise. There was crisp bacon, baked eggs and cheese, fruit, and homemade peach muffins that I couldn't stop eating.

The views from Chateau Chantal are amazing and I would recommend staying there in the fall if you can!

We'll definitely be going back.

We went to Chateau Chantal on a frigid blustery March day and received a warm welcome at The Tasting Room. Are server was very knowledgeable and was a delight. We ended up deciding to taste three different wines and sat at a table and sipped and chatted and enjoyed every nuance of taste. We decided to purchase the Chardonnay that we had and we know we will enjoy it when we get home.

At an auction, I bought a VIP package for a private tour. I asked Ralph Kridner if we could have 11 people and pay for the 3 extra people. He agreed and said it was no problem. We arranged a whole day of different tours. Ralph was not prepared and would not accommodate us. When we got to Chateau Chantel, 3 people had to sit in the lobby while the others went on the tour. I was so embarrassed! Ralph then told me that he told the 3 that he would pay for their tasting. That was a lie too. He never said that to them and never paid for it. My 3 elderly guests were ignored and not taken care of.

Pulling up to Chateau Chantal is like a dream. It is absolutely stunning. The view of the grape vines extends for what seems like miles. The building on the inside is like a castle. You are greeted by the friendly staff. The wine is my absolute favorite among Traverse City. It is absolutely perfect

Love Chateau Chantal. We've been coming for several years and wouldn't miss it. The story behind it is great, the owners and other guests have been fabulous! Nadine, love your bacon and all the other wonderful recipes for breakfast. Can't go wrong. thanks for a wonderful experience year after year.

When we arrived is was so busy with tour buses that we decided to leave, however since we had such great prior experiences with Bill, we decided to come back later in the aftenoon. We were glad we did. Service at the bar was great and Bill at the register made it clear that our experience was a priority and was sympathetic to the earlier wait. Will definitely come again and again.

My girlfriend and I visited Chateau Chantel during our first wine tasting tour. This was our favorite over all the wineries we stopped at all on Mission Pennisula. The fiendly, knowledgeable staff helped us pick a wine to enjoy with plate of cheese and crackers as we sat outside admiring the beautiful view of the bay. The picture we took together out on the deck is one of my all time favorites.

Such a gorgeous view from their patio/deck!

We made a reservation and had to wait in line a bit to get inside. They had plastic up between the bartenders and guests which made us feel safer. They had less registers open to check out which I think is what made the wait a little longer. My husband and I each created a flight of 3 wines to try. They had a few cheese and cracker type snack options that we took advantage of too. There was plenty of room out on the deck and we enjoyed beautiful views while drinking our wine. I really enjoyed a "Trio" wine and ended up buying a bottle. The wine bottles were a little pricey, but they did have some cheaper fruit options if you were trying to stay in budget. On our way out we found out there was another patio area in the front of the building that you could also drink your wine on. Overall, it's a beautiful view and location that we will definitely be coming back to.

Truly amazing and one of my favorite places ever. Great wine, amazing views and great staff. The drive is fun also on Old Mission Pennisula. Stopping at the little cherry stands is one of my favorite memories I have. Enjoy!

Beautiful view, nice patio, good service. The drinks are a little bit small, but the quality makes up for it. Wish it had more shaded places to sit on, or more areas under greenery. Overall a pretty decent location.

We often visit Chateau Chantel not only for the yummy wine but the experience and impeccable service. Unfortunately this time our experience and service was dampened by Matt the server and the manager. Simple questions were asked, in which he replied with the roll of his eyes, a disgusted sigh, and answers the reflected that he was put out. We brought family to the wineries and to our disappointment CC was not up to its normal customer service. I was extremely embarrassed by the treatment our first timer guests received. My husband and I own a business and would be mortified if we had a customer that was dissatisfied. We would do anything to make it right for a customer. We spoke to the manager about Matt and honestly, she didn t seem too concerned. I didn t expect any compensation (which there was none) but she could have acknowledged our frustration. Nope. I will be back, hoping that the service is just as good as their wine and the view. I truly hope the manager reviews public relations with Matt.

There is bound to be a wine for you. This is a relaxed atmosphere with a large selection of wines. On a nice day enjoy the back patio with sprauling views of the vineyards and water. The staff could be a little more knowledgable abkut the wines and less stuffy but that doesn't have to negatively impact the expdrience. Ignore that and enjoy the fine tastes and beautiful views.

Last night we went for the 7 course wine pairing dinner. Our 46th anniversary was on Monday but the dinners were not offered on that day and we are so glad we waited to have our anniversary dinner on the next day. Everybody was wonderful. The chef was amazing. The food was out of this world. Every course and the choice of wine with them was exceptional. We enjoyed sharing our table with interesting people. We can't say enough about the wonderful experience we had at Chateau Chantal.

My husband and I visited Chateau Chantel for a wine tasting. We received great serviced and we were educated on the varieties of wine , and the best temperatures to store and drink the wine. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and the best part of our visit was the beautiful view!

We went in a wine tour through the Peninsula of Michigan for a girls weekend. We ended our wine tour with Chateau Chantal Winery, with the Vineyard tour and 7 course dinner. The dinner and wine pairing was amazing. I highly encourage everyone to experience Chateau Chantal Winery at least ones.

Beautiful view. The staff was nice, although all ordering took a very long time so I feel it would be beneficial to have more staff there during busy times. Good wine and overall a pleasant experience.

Rude employees especially the hostess Liz, I suggest that if you dislike your job as much as you show it to your customers that you find some other type of employment, particularly not customer facing!

The winery itself is nice but because of the treatment by this hostess, (hopefully she isn t a manager) we will never return here.

REVISED: I received a call this morning from Chateau Chantal letting me know their system was showing my reservation had been cancelled. I checked my credit card statement and it is showing as being credited. The notification email I received was indeed caught in my spam. It appears all of the issues I complained about below were caught by "safety" features and I should have done a better job at double checking.

I booked a tasting for a foursome months in advance. I have been calling and emailing the winery in an attempt to cancel the reservation or get an answer on what my options are for cancelling. I received one call back with a message saying "to make a reservation, visit our website". Have left additional messages reiterating I want to cancel an existing reservation, no response. I had to pay in advance and would prefer to not just donate the funds to an organization that isn't willing to respond to a person's request. Hoping this public comment will prompt a response from the winery.
