The views are absolutely beautiful. The wine is amazing and staff is friendly. My boyfriend and I went wine tasting here and he isn't a wine drinker. That soon changed after we left. He found a wine he liked and we bought 6 bottles of different wines. Recommend to wine lovers and those who dont.

We went to Chateau Chantal Winery for the wine tasting and our service by Andrew & Abigail was great: educational, good speed, and friendly. The wine was delicious and the view of the water was beautiful. Highly recommend people make a stop.
We visited for wine tasting. It has a lovely view from the patio, pleasant wines and as a nice bonus toys to keep the kids distracted while Mom and Dad enjoy some wine.
Wine tour was excellent. The staff was extremely knowledgeable. The views are phenomenal. The tasting room provides plenty of opportunity to try a variety of wines and take in the views of Lake Michigan. The rooms at the B&B looked goregous although we did not stay overnight.
One of our favorite wineries on Old Mission peninsula. We make it a point to start our wine trips here no matter where else we go. Out personal favorite... the late harvest.
The views at the winery were amazing and the staff was so friendly. We did the Quaf and Nosh and the experience was delightful. Bill, our server, was so fun and animated. He made the experience even more joyous. The wine was delicious and the food was spectacular.
Super nice winery, beautiful scenery and super hospitable staff. Liz showed us all their wines so we could pick some to buy for our taste. We were very happy with our expenses and we are planning to come back again soon!
We were passing through the area and visited the winery. The view was astounding and the staff very friendly, our group of 7 walked in and was seated within minutes. Overall, a great stop and we plan on returning to try the food!
Wow this place is nice! We loved a couple of their wines and the patio is gorgeous. Sitting out high above it all with a cheese plate and flight of wine looking over the vineyard and Grand Traverse Bay was truly amazing!
I love this winery. It is possible that they have the best view from their back deck than any other winery on Old Mission Peninsula. It is a very big tasting room - they have an extremely large deck and multiple bars for tastings. It was very busy here, which is not a surprise. The wine is all very good, but the amount of wines that they have is insane. It is almost too much to be able to choose from. I would highly recommend trying the Cherry Bubbly. It was so good that we ended up leaving with several cans of it. The bartender that we had was pretty good - he seemed like he likes his job! My only complaint about this place is that the fruit flies are crazy bad. Maybe it is because the wine is good!?
This place was so beautiful and the staff was SO awesome! We stayed at the bed and breakfast for one night (Sunday) on a long weekend trip. The views are incredible and the staff is so welcoming. We were able to do self guided wine tastings later at night after the tasting room closed which was great because we were out on a tour earlier in the day. The breakfast the next morning was also fantastic, and the tour was really cool. We felt like we were living in a Pure Michigan commercial our entire stay.
One of the most beautiful winery's near to traverse city. The taste cost is $10 dollars per person and the give you 3 glasses of the choice you want (sweet, red, withe, etc). The wine is really good and the terrace view is nice. If you want to sleep there I recommend to reserve with time!
Wine was great. Atmosphere was impersonal. Most wineries have great conversations with their customers. This one just didn't. We heard they were like this but we tried it anyway.
My wife and I did a winery tour last weekend. Of the 5 wineries we visited, this one was the worst. It was a tourist trap. Cheesy decor highlighted by a creepy family portrait as you enter the main wine tasting area. Low caliber wine too.
My friends from Grand Rapids came up to Traverse City to visit and do some wine tastings this past weekend. Although Chateau Chantal was not originally on our list of wineries to visit, we are all very glad we did! The staff present were very welcoming and friendly. We each tasted 6 different wines for $3, which was very budget friendly and incredibly worth it!!!! The friendly lady that served each of our pours was personable, kind, and knowledgeable of each of the wines and offered her personal experiences and favourites. All of us went away with a bottle of our new found favourites!!! (the Naughty Cider was mine, although it was a very hard choice between that and two others!!) When we went to pick up our bottles, the young man fetching the bottles was also very personable and when I offered to sans the paper bag, he kindly explained why it was necessary. I appreciate an honest an answer. The scenery was beautiful... Hard to comprehend this is where I live!!!! We all left quite satisfied and definitely will return!
Parking was a joke on Sweetest Day...seems like staff would close parking lot once it's full instead of letting cars pile up in a super small area and fight to get back out. Place is nice though.
Love this place, love your wine, drove 1hr and 20 mins just for a bottle of your wine. Bought 3. Although to the guy who would not sell me a glass of it because he said cut off was at 330 and it was 317 after a terrible day of let downs.
Stayed at the B&B for three days and opted for a dinner on the patio one right. Unfortunately consistently encountered poor service and rude staff on the property. The dinner was also underwhelming as the staff forgot that we had requested a vegetarian friendly option and after some back and forth with the wait staff we were ultimately served cold and bitter grilled portobello for the main entre. How does a restaurant mess up grilled portobello?!? Overall not the great experience we were hoping for.
Even though the lady on the phone I made reservations with was less than friendly I had a great time! This was my first wine tasting experience and the employee went over options and helped pick me out some good ones to try (only wine I've had before this was Arbor Mist...gross yes I know) it was a bit brisk on the porch due to all the covid rules but we still had a good time. I would definitely go back again when we could order more than 3 per person per reservation!
We, a group of 10, went in to have a tasting. We didn't wait to long for a flight and food. It was so excited very smoothly and great attitude by employee. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
Our group of 17 had a wonderful tour on Saturday, we enjoyed the wine tasting and a huge shout out to Bill and the winery for the hospitality/service we received and letting us hang out while our tour bus was stuck.
Please review this Meant to post this in the fall I noticed that all the weeds between the grape plants were dead I asked a long time worker a(possible owner)the person said they use herbicides and also noticed that all post for wires holding grape Vines were wolmanized which I have read can leach into the ground Not good if this is true, is this a fact please review And not all winery's up there are doing this
Stopped in for a wine tasting and had a very friendly and knowledgeable server. He explained each of the wines and even gave us a few extra samples to try if we really enjoyed one of the styles. Definitely would recommend!
The view is absolutely phenomenal from here. I will be returning to do a tour and tasting in the winter time to see the view of the peninsula during that season since the tours and tastings are indoors!
One of my very favorite winery's! The views are breath taking and the wine is amazing. The staff is very knowledgeable. I will visit this winery whenever I'm in the area.
Great family winery. Owners are ex-priest and ex-nun who followed another dream. Their Daughter Marie runs the day to day. We enjoyed a tour and tasting. Loved the Entice, fortified ice wine and the Cinq a Sept oak aged brandy! Stunning B & B!
Decent wine but the vibe doesn't fit with Michigan/ the Midwest. A lot of jerks work there and I just can't get on board with it. I'm an easy to please guest so it's unfortunate to have to rate this place so low after 3 visits.
We visited this Vineyard on our 6 stop tour for a bachlorette party. We pre-paid for 16 people and we're shuffled around, waited in line for about 20 minutes before we were told that they couldn't serve us because they couldn't find our receipt/reservation. Bill was the manager and berated his hostess, who was incredibly sweet, in front of everyone and was very condescending when 'addressing' our issue. We requested to be refunded but are not confident that will happen.
Spectacular view from rooftop seating area, made for a great romantic wine tasting. We had their wine flights, which were 3 modest sample pours for $10. Great selection of wines! Will definitely check out the B&B next time we are here!
Very cozy ambience like a fancy log cabin. Situated high up on a hill that overlooks the entire peninsula. Very good wine, but if you prefer sweeter wines there are better wineries in the area. Hawthorne has very good sweet wines and Bowers Harbor has the best cider I've ever had.
Nice facility and view. No one will say hi and they will let you sit on an empty patio and won t tell you to order at bar. They won t even look at you. Lack of customer service doesn t matter when you have money!
Another great winery to stop at. A little more "uppity" feeling but I still felt comfortable here. Laura was extremely knowledgeable and lead us to wonderful choices.
We decided on the 3 tasters on the patio with the fantastic view.
Prices are comparable and you get $3 off a bottle of wine when you do a taster.
