These peoples are the most disrespectful and racist I have ever worked with in the hospitality business. The amenities are run down. Overall I would strongly suggest you to find another place to stay.

We have stayed at Charleston Harbor Resort many times over the years but never at The Beach Club. It is fabulous! We made a reservation for a 2 BR suite which made it even nicer. The view of the harbor is incredible. There were snacks and water upon arrival. It is beautifully decorated. The bathroom is huge and the countertops are amazing (made from crushed oyster shells). We could only stay about 14 hours with no time to experience it all, but we will be back!

We went on our honeymoon during coronapocalypse so we understood that things wouldn t be quite to the normal standard anywhere. But we were very disappointed here. We got there on a Sunday and checked in. We started checking out the room, and not much stood out in the bad department, except that the mini fridge smelled awful of dead fish. And whatever had been in it had leaked down to the two cabinets and the floor underneath.
I requested a new room or for it to be cleaned. So they moved us. To the room facing the parking lot directly over a work site/dumpster area. I went back and told them I would just keep the other room but please have someone clean it. A few hours later we come back from dinner and it still hasn t been done. The next morning we go to breakfast and we tell them that we are leaving, and it still hasn t been cleaned, please clean it. We come back from breakfast and it s still not done. So I tell her yet again this is ridiculous, please clean it now. Finally it gets cleaned and the fridge still smelled the entire trip. We just didn t even use it. The cabinets under it were not cleaned properly when it was cleaned either. I still have the pictures from that. Wednesday on our way back in at 3 we requested more towels and toilet paper. Waited a few hours, they never came. Called again. Still didn t show. We went to dinner and got back about midnight. Still nothing. So we called down at that time and got the towels. Still no toilet paper. Had to call down again the next morning to get more and it finally came then.
The other ridiculous part is that I started my period the second day down there, and my husband went to the desk to ask for a tampon until we could just go the store. They don t have any and all that is in the shop is 8 for $5 cardboard tampons. Also the beach there is just a sunbathing beach, not a beach where you can get in the water like normal.
On the positive side, the bar makes a hell of a rum runner. And unfortunately he said it was his last night (on our first night there) but the most polite guest services representative was Coleman.

This hotel is the worst. DO NOT book a "top secret" room, luxury and gorgeous views are promised, mediocrity and dumpster views are guaranteed.. literally, there was a dumpster and a parking lot outside of our window. Also, we were charged an additional 22 dollars at check in for "resort fee" and had nothing but a bare minimum hotel with a tiny pool, no hot tub, and no room service? This place is a total rip off..

I prepaid for my stay online and was pleased at first with the welcome we received from an employee named Steven. Let me just say if it wasn't for him this wouldn't have been an okay trip. He gave us tons of info about the area, resort, amenities, and more. Unfortunately, there were many issues with the stay that I feel should have not been an issue for the money that was paid. When we checked into our room I noticed that the night stand in the middle of the room had a broken leg. I tried to call down to the front desk to report this so that we would not be charged for it. That is when I realized our phone was not working. I went downstairs to report both issues. The phone was replaced the next day, the table leg was never fixed.

Other experiences were very similar to the others listed here, very nice location, and has the potential to be a very nice experience, however staff needs to be better trained in customer service, friendliness, and promptness. Also, the resort needs to be prepared and well staffed. Our room was cleaned the first day sometime between 10am and 3pm. The second day it was not cleaned at all. At 2:15 when we returned to our room and found it un serviced I called down to the front desk. After 3 attempts and no answer I went downstairs to ask about my housekeeping service they wrote my room number down and said that it would be serviced soon. I went out for another hour and returned expecting my room to be serviced, however it was still un serviced. When I went downstairs to ask for fresh towels they said they would send someone up. We had to wait about 15 minutes to receive fresh linens. It was apparent at that time that the resort was not properly staffed to handle customers. When I asked about the front desk phone being answered I was told that they heard the phone ringing, but were too busy to answer. That might have been ok if I hadn't attempted to call 3 times.

I am the personal assistant to Miss Lynne Charnay a 92 year old cabaret performer. We staied at the hotel on January 14, 2018 to March 1, 2018 for an extended vacation/work trip for my boss. The hotel staff was fantastic especially Maria who handeled our check in. We had a mix up about the room but she handled it like a boss and we were sleeping comfortable in no time. My boss loved the double bed room with the awesome patio that let us look out over the heated pool, hot tub, and that gorgeous view of the bay. This could not get any better but the staff was so over the top with their service and their willingness to help. Renata who remembered Miss Charnay from her prior visit in 2017 was a joy constantly happy to help and do to make Miss Lynne's room service experience above par. Cindy and Precious were my late night buddies who would check on my needs while I was studing my Spanish at night. They were so friendly, helpful, and professional in their customer service and exceeding my ecpectation in meeting my needs. The roomservice staff was wonderful. The bellmen Sunny, Chris, Paul, and Gaston were the joy of my trip. I am a early riser and my boss is a late sleeper, so I became great friends with them in the early mornings. They were always willing to answer questions. The front desk staff was great with their unending patience with the numerous requests I made on my boss's behalf. I love how nothing was to complicated or to hard for them to accomplish. Jacques, Melissa, Cathlyn, Dustin were all my life savers and helping hands for any emergency situations and problem solving. These people were spectacular they just showed me nothing but a desire to help.I will recommend this wonderful facility to anyone who is coming to Charleston.

The swimming pools are fantastic. It's right on Charleston Harbor, with wonderful views. They offer many amenities. I got a good rate online. You can walk right down to get on the water taxi. And there are the cutest little black crabs all over running around in the sand, under the boardwalks, etc.

My husband and I recently made a return visit to The French Quarter Inn for a mini weekend getaway. We visit Charleston several times a year and have stayed at several Inns and Hitels in the City. This Inn is the best by far! Service is superior at every level.

Booked one night here last year, they gave us a rate of $340.( We booked 8 months in advance) 2 weeks before we got a email saying they lo se t our booking and offered us 2 nights saying they have a 2 night minimum or $420 for one night. I told them to keep it and will not be coming back.

The place is beautiful. The detail they put into the interior design is something special. But unfortunately, if I'm paying $300 a night, I'd like to have a TV that isn't infested with static and dying pixels. The coffee maker was in a location where the wasn't a plug. In fact, I had to sit it on the floor to eve. Get it to plug in. The lamps didn't work, the hutch surrounding the tv had missing light bulbs, etc... But these are all little things that I could live past. The staff was beyond friendly and the room was clean during check in. The view was also nice, although there was some trash laying around in the rear of the resort, in the sand that wasn't picked up after several days.

Stayed on a discount web deal. Huge construction site outside our window. Restaurant and entire beach was closed off for a wedding without any access to us. The pool was okay luckily, nothing to write home about but functional. If I had payed full price I would be livid. Luckily I'm here more for the sites than the resort, but if you want to relax at the hotel I'd avoid this place for some time to come as the construction looks like it will take awhile.

Our room was NOT clean. The linens were barely folded when we arrived, no mattress cover between the fitted sheet and mattress (which was disturbingly disgusting). Not sure what was all over the walls? There were multiple places that hadn't been wiped down. Requested that someone come clean the room again, no one showed. Staff was rude. All this for two and half times what I could pay at a Marriott. This experience was not what I would expect at this price point, severely disappointed.

The room was lovely, but dirty, crumbs on the floor by the bed, hair stuck to the wall inside the shower. The door to the bathroom wouldn t open or close.
Additionally they charged a $30 fee per night to park and use a shuttle which wasn t told to me upon check in.
If I had known I was going to have to pay for those amenities I would have made an effort to use them. I was there on business and didn t have time to bike in the rain or whatever else the fee was for.
Additionally when I dined at the Fish House their was an employee drinking after their shift and was very inebriated, The restaurant is a nice but expensive dining experience ruined by a drunk employee who kept trying to talk to everyone and insert herself into conversations.
Also the bathroom is outside the restaurant, which is weird. Paying $50 for a meal and then being told that I have to walk outside down a long corridor to wash my hands.
Overall, a disappointing experience. I will not be back.

Checkin was easy and friendly staff. We arrived in our room and the patio door glass was cracked the full length. The bathroom door was a sliding pocket door that was very heavy, and did not have anyway to grab hold from inside the bathroom to close all the way. My elderly mother could not even get the door to close all the way because it was so heavy for her to try and push. The room was very dated and in need of refresh. We asked to be moved to a room without problems. They had to move us to the hotel next door. Unfortunately, the only room they had available was a suite, and they required us to pay the full price of the upgrade without any discount even though it was the condition of their room that made it necessary for us to move.

Nice sized beds and very comfortable. Despite limited service due to covid we had quick delivery of towels each time we requested. Pools were nice with lots of chairs and umbrellas. Shower had ample water pressure. Just wished they had changed linens in dining area more often. We played cards each night and they were obviously dirty.

No heat when we first got there, but it was fixed quickly. It has what looks like a restaurant, but was never open. Nice bar, friendly staff. No room service, but a store at the front desk. A super restaurant is a short walk, The Fish House. Our room overlooked Charleston harbor.

They don't have beach access at all!! And i called to ask about it and they told me they have access to the beach (a total lie) don't waist your money.. everything is close, no beach, crabs everywhere and the tv wasnt working plus didn't have towels, no room service and roaches around

Absolutely perfect! Relax on the water way, enjoy the spa like atmosphere and then a super short drive/Uber into downtown for a night on the town. My favorite place to stay in Charleston.

Arrived for check in at 4 but was told my room wasn't ready, and then was told they were unsure when it would be ready to check in. Was told they would contact me when it became available but never was after waiting 4 hours with no courtesy call or anything i finally went back to the front desk and the manager stated well your room still isn't ready but i can put you in another room even though it not the one you booked. I would like to speak to corporate because this was very unacceptable i missed on dinner reservations and etc... waited for hours for a room after a 12 hour drive. Was told by Manager that I would get some kind of composition but wheb i checked out every one act like i was speaking a different langauge and they had no knowledge of the situation.

My boyfriend brought me here for our anniversary and I couldn't have asked for more. The room was nice and clean and the view was even better. A short drive to downtown and all that Charleston has to offer. This is a great alternative if you aren't able to stay downtown. We will be staying here again.
