Had surgery here and the staff and doctors were great. Very attentive staff and the nurses were awesome.

This hospital is amazing I took my mom to ER the staff. They have so much patience and really care for the patience I want to say Thank you to the nurse that assisted my mother her name is Thelma she is kind and made my mom feel very comfortable Thank You so much.

Well, don't even speak good care. My wife gave birth there. It was a normal delivery even though our first child was by caesarean section, many sides told us that it was caesarean section again, but there, doctor David Kim told us that he would support us for a normal delivery and thank God all the time. staff helped us we arrived there at 12.30 pm and at 8.52 pm our daughter was born it was a success I recommend it if someone had a cesarean section with the first baby and I want to have the second in a normal delivery I recommend that you go there 08/26 / 2020

Very bad experience as soon as I had my third baby there in that hospital I changed hospitals because they recommended me for excellent service and it is not so very sorry that disappointment the very despotic nurses of all those who attended me only 2 were very kind and that m They sent clean blankets and pampers because I had to ask for them because it seemed that everything only counted and with measure they had things because they did not want to give me formula for my baby because I felt that I did not have milk and more because it was cesarean section I felt a lot of pain for Breastfeeding until I was embarrassed, I asked them for a formula, they only gave me one every time I asked for it, or it wasn't horrible, very bad service, and when they told me you have to get up to exercise, I felt a lot of pain and I asked my mother-in-law to help me get up and she said not that she alone with a tone that or my God that bad I understand that I had to exercise but always after the operation when one gets up by fireworks Maybe if they help, I say it because it was not the first caesarean, it was 3rd, but the previous 2 were not right there. They gave me one according to myself but half was out of furniture computers or not recommended

The service has been almost perfect except that I was waiting 2 hours ago on the 7th floor the wheelchair of the hospital to lower my wife who was denied a couple of headache pills! Atte Luis E Quintanilla

I use to go to this hospital almost every years for my Asthma treatment and for some other treatments and surgeries back in 1992-1999 and I have not been here since than. Last week I went there to get emergency help because I felt down on my back from two feet and hurt my back badly. I went in around 1:15-30am and after pushing doctor to take care me I left hospital 6am and I was so upset to see what has this hospital became. ER room full of overdosed and alcoholic patience all over even in hallways and only ONE new grad doctor works who can not help. All he did send medical assistant to give me some pain killer shot and this assistant don't know how to do shots. He was like working with wild animal not with human who was in very sever pain. The rooms are dirty as hell from floor to sailing, the walls were covered with dust. Is this a hospital or animal shelter? Animal shelters are more cleaner and have more caring workers than this hospital. Even one star is way to much for this hospital. Oh I forgot, doctor did not even gave me discharge paper, it's like I never been there. What a professional care doctor. Never go to this place if you want to save your life.

I understand that all the staff in the hospital are particularly sensitive with Covid19, but I asked them several times because I had difficulty communicating with English while checking the body temperature at the entrance of the hospital.
Security looked irritated with a bad look and sigh.I felt bad as a visitor to the patient.
Yesterday and today...I even took my old mother with me today...I am also worried if she could have found the elevator.

Power outage for 15minutes?! Make sense? Walk in patients were dismissed due to power outage. Er was dark and waited to be seen for a laceration a day after Christmas. Power came back on, however, er registration staff are on vacation as if the power is still out. Waited with nobody in waiting room for over an hour, no ambulance nor emergency vehicles in parking lot. Very quiet and peaceful. Triage staff are picking their noses, asked if we can be seen, the women just nods her head and says to wait to be called. All windows are closed and blocked to prevent any human contact. I guess we just can't be seen unless our hearts stop or if we stopped breathing. Then I hear a lot of departments decided to close early due to power outage without notice. Such a realiable place.

I was ripped off $35. My wife came in for a mammogram. The check in clerk asked for $35. She said our insurance doesn t pay that. I said it does and we shouldn t have to pay anything since our insurance is 100 percent covered and 100 percent paid. She said they can t allow the mammogram unless the $35 is paid up front and if my insurance paid it I will be refunded that amount. She added the hospital is good about refunds. Well, my insurance PAID the $35 but it was never refunded back to me and it s been a year.

Had an appointment at the Doctor Tower and had to wait 1.5 hours to see the doctor, but he took the time to properly investigate and evaluate my problem. It well worth the wait.

I went to this hospital for a stomach flu where I was fainting due to dehydration. I could not hold liquid down so I needed hydration immediately because I was passing out so much and it was becoming dangerous. I was seen immediately and given several unnecessary tests that I knew would come out negative. When I asked them to please not do those tests, the nurse became very aggressive and said "Those were the doctor's orders and you had a choice to come here or stay home. You can walk out now." In order to get medical help, I was asked to sign the consent and that's when I signed life away. For a 3 hour stay, not even inpatient, I got a bill for 4,000. I am trying to get charity approval from the hospital to reduce the bill but they are still asking that I make a "good faith payment" until my eligibility is determined. Big rip off. Don't get ripped off folks. Go to another hospital and do your research first or you will end up with a mountain of debt that must be paid or else you will be dealing with collections.

Very unhelpful employees who clearly hate their jobs and make it known. Very disrespectful and rude. Wait for hours for nothing! A complete joke. The place looks disgusting, I didn't even want to sit down. How can a hospital be so unsanitary!

Terrible!!! My son was beat up and didn't have his driver's license or cell phone. He was seen by a doctor and released. He requested to use their phone to call us for help and they denied him. We have great health insurance and they treated him like a dog. I called and they were no help at all. One kind heart let him use their cell phone.

I wasn't at the center but at the medical towers. It is a good place. Great doctors. I was admitted back in June suffering a moderate heart attack, two days later, I was home. They saved my life. Thank you so very much Hollywood Presbyterian!

Worst place I've been so far, waiting is horribly long. Security is extremely rude. Dont recommend coming here. My dad's bladder was swelling up and couldn't hold it much longer but weren't attending him, they were just telling him to sit down and wait

Dr. Joung Lee of the neurosurgery department was amazing. My mom had mvd surgery at the Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. Dr. Lee was great and we were so fortunate to have him. He took time to explain the surgical process, he made my mom feel confident about choosing to have surgery and he was diligent about filling in the family members before and after the surgery, as well as the next few days during her recovery at the hospital. He even took his time to come find me multiple times to update me on my mom's condition and walked me to her recovery room (even though I was told to just check in at the nurse's station to find out where she gets moved to after the surgery). The staff were very kind and made my mom as comfortable as she could be and took their time speaking with her and the family members. It's been a pleasant experience during a troubling situation.

TIP: The emergency entrance is located off Vermont Ave. The regular entrance and parking is located in the back of the hospital which is accessible from Fountain Ave or De Longpre Ave. Parking validated for 2 hours. Bring cash.

Wife and I took a tour of their labor and delivery facilities. Staff was friendly and made us feel welcomed. We look forward to delivering our baby there.

UPDATE: Wife delivered our son here in Dec. 2016; staff and nurses were friendly, especially in the recovery room, where son was well taken care of by the rotating nurses; wife had a last minute election C-Section so we stayed 4 days and my wife asked tons of questions from all the nurses and they were all very patient, friendly and helpful. There was only one pediatrician who had to be stern with us about our son's slightly elevated bilirubin levels; she could have had a nicer approach but her approach was necessary. Wife was well fed..can't say enough they were attentive, day and night. Thank you staff.

Great facility. Staff showed me a lot of professionality, courtesy and care despite the difficulty they received from what looked like very aggressive, homeless, and rude patrons. I was very happy with my care after my mountain biking accident. Everyone was very kind and concerned. Like many other places, extend courtesy, and it will be returned, even during a hectic time.

The emergency dept is slow & staff don't move very fast & have a lot of attitude. Will never go here again for any reason.

Great work environment where I was able to learn many skills. Great staff, open to teaching and very helpful in showing what is needed for future employment opportunities...

Delivered my baby June 8 and i cant complain all the nurses were very nice and helpful. I had my own room i didnt have to share with another patient. My baby was in NICU for 4 days and she was in great hands i was able to see my baby 24hrs. Had to treat the nurses because they did such a good job taking care and informing my husband and i for any progress my baby did. Cant complain about the hospital and service.

The nurses are very friendly but unfortunately you wait too long I am here waiting for a surgeon and they do not tell me when they are going to give me the nurses do not have information about when the surgeon will arrive

Brought my wife into the ED today with a chronic degenerative brain disease, after she was released from her long-term care center, at medi-cals instructions. The Chief RN of the ED tried to release her stating there's nothing they can do Even though her condition had worsened, this came just 2 hours after they said they needed to admit her for more work ups. So we refused discharge because she would be at risk of falling and injuring herself when I went to work. She needed to be admitted to another long term care center and the only way to do that would be to have her admitted and the referral sent to medi-cals. The ED chief then tries to have security forcefully remove her I had to call LAPD who informed them that what they were trying to do was illegal and that we were not breaking any laws by refusing discharge. We had asked for a Sgt to come and as we were waiting the ED doc came in again with the security guards when the officers stepped away and said that LAPD instructed them that we were trespassing. This is after they told us we were not and that a Sgt was on his way.

Since she's been admitted the doctors have fought me at every turn to get the various specialties to come see her that normally would round on someone with my wife's condition. All the staff coming in and out of the hospital never have smiles on their faces and when greeted you're met with side glances and indifference. There is no affect here or compassion this is by far one of the worst faith centered hospitals I've had the displeasure of bringing my wife to.

My sister in law had her baby here, she was left alone with her mom for minutes while giving birth, very unorganized.

I went in with extreme tooth pain. Simple. All they didbwas give me some papers and make me get on the train and get pain meds. Ride the train while in pain so bad I can badly think.

If I would I would rate the hospital a NEGATIVE star. My sister gave birth here because it was her only option due to her baby having a heart condition and being close to Children's Hospital. It's been 12 hours and nobody has checked up on her except a CNA for her blood pressure and given the fact that we had a communication problem. Tgere is noway to get proper medical attention. This place is horrible hospital! Patient care ZERO, attentiveness ZERO, cleanliness ZERO. I'm suprised they have been shut down by Cal Osha.

Waiting times are ridiculous. Staff is unprofessional. Only two doctors on duty.

Instead go to another hospital located near by like Kaiser Permanente or Children's hospital.

worst parking ever was there my dad had a heart attack first my car got hit... i tell the attendant he points to a sign that say they are not responsible... fine my bad for suggesting someone other then me takes responsibility ....then they charge $12 for parking... good luck if u need to leave to anywhere cause they will charge u the same thing the next time u need to leave... love that family care is priority and not their damn wallets

I was not properly treated at this hospital. I was discharged and almost died because they on call doctor refused to see and treat me due to lack of care. I was not even triaged or registered i was told that i was not treatable yet i was bleeding out of my rectum severely i almost bled to death but thank god my uncle picked me up and took me to a better hospital. I am appalled

Was in a car accident last year around May, I had fractured my ulna and had a huge abrasion on my left eye. Was in the ER for 30 minutes in PAIN before they were able to attend me. After the doctor stitched up my eye he wanted to discharged me that second! HORRIBLE experience i was NO condition to be sent home after that car accident.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a surgery. I highly recommend that you avoid ever going to this hospital. My wife had surgery here on November 3, 2020. At every single step of the process the hospital staff, nurses and surgeon were completely incompetent. I will not going into details here but this hospital has a cultural of incompetence to the degree that I am afraid for the life of anyone who undergoes surgery here. I deeply regret ever setting foot in the hospital and I hope that others will read this review and avoid it all costs. Seriously, I have never taken the time to review a hospital ever. But you really need to know how bad it is and stay away.

Had our baby here Feb 2014, wonderful experience all the way through; great staff, great care; great communication. Everything was exactly what we hoped for.

Went in for a C section once I got an actually delivery room my stay was much more comfortable. Staff was always attentive to my needs and I felt privacy even when I walked around to get the baby out.

Had my baby girl here in 2014 and the nurses are God sent. They were extremely attentive and caring. Throughout my labor pains there was someone with me most of the time and towards the end the nurse never left my side. If I have another child I will definitely be coming back here.

If there was the option of no stars, that is what this hospital would get. I was admitted to this hospital for treatment for a chronic condition that requires about 2 or 3 weeks of hospital stay. I have been admitted into other hospitals for the same condition several other times, including Silver Lake, St. Vincent, Good Samaritan, Huntington Hospital, to name a few. The treatment that I got here was inexcusable. This is definitely the worst hospital in all of California and probably the United States. I was in the hospital for 3 days (remember I said that my condition usually requires 2 or 3 weeks of treatment) and I was still vomiting, not able to eat anything, still on IV fluids and in extreme pain, and they WANTED TO DISCHARGE ME!! I got a friend who is a lawyer involved who threatened to sue them for malpractice and immediately the discharge stopped, but the care went into the toilet. I needed pain medication and I was not provided the medication in a timely manner, my IV's were not replaced and the nurses never came to check up on me, even when i pressed the call button. I requested to be transferred to a different hospital through my insurance and was granted the transfer to Silver Lake Medical Center. Hollywood Presbyterian should be investigated for its healthcare practices and put out of business.

Worst Experience Ever & The Doctor Is Not Helpful And Still Has An Attitude!

I went there with a Mersa infection in my thumb that clearly should've been drained as puss/infection was under my thumbnail. They instead gave me antibiotics in the triage and instructed "if it gets worse come back and it may need draining". Well it got horribly worse and was drained at Long Beach Memorial Hospital. MY POINT: It should've been addressed at Hollywood Presbyterian without them passing the buck. It took 2 years for my thumbnail to grow back and it's still not 100% right.

Went into the ER at Hollywood Presbyterian on a Saturday with abdominal pains. The staff there was kind, helpful and professional and got right down to diagnostics and diagnosis. I needed an appendectomy - my time in the hospital was great - the nurses were very good at their jobs and helped guide me through the process - surgeon was skilled and took the time to answer all my questions. And they did all this while navigating COVID protocols and helping me do the same. Was back at work and with my family before I knew it - THANKS HOLLYWOOD PRES!!!

DO NOT COME HERE FOR ANY OF YOUR MEDICAL NEEDS. PHYSICIANS DID NOT PROPERLY FILL OUT PRESCRIPTION LEAVING US IN PAIN FOR WEEKS. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT COME HERE FOR ANY MEDICAL NEEDS. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

They hacked on me, did two unnecessary surgeries, which had to be repeated. They are dirty, and now, a year later, I am told that they did not get authorization from my insurance company for some of the items, so now I am being sued by those providers. I have been in touch with the case workers in the hospital to see why they did not get prior authoriaztions, and ...well, the nightmare continues.

When I was injured, I asked the ambulance people if this was a good place. They ignored me, and told me it was the closest one.

If you have a choice of hospitals, NEVER SET FOOT INTO THIS PLACE I have since learned the locals call is "horrific Presbyterian." Yes they are!!!!

This is basically a 3rd world hospital with incompetent staff and disgusting facilities. I felt my health was in more danger by being admitted here.

I had non stop diarrhea and I was pooing on the ground non stop it was horrible but the staff were so friendly.

We had a great experience, with prompt, excellent, and kind treatment from all involved. Our triple-board certified doctor was clearly a confident, careful, and expert clinician. He helped keep our anxious daughter calm and explained everything well.

It was clean. Great doctors and nurses. Normally I do not like hospital food. So, I was happy to be vegan. Vegan food was simple, and not overcooked. It was delicious.

The worst hospital ever! The ER is a curb side clinic. Be ready to wait long hours for nothing!

Disappointments me, that even when coming early for an APPOINTMENT....U WONT BE SEEN TILL AN HR LATER! PARKING FEES ARE RIDICULOUS....CANT PARK ON THE STREET AFTER 4P....IM THINKING OF CHANGING HOSPITALS.

I have been to this hospital's ER 3 times in the past 3 years. Once when I sliced the palm of my hand open, once for a cracked rib and recently for kidney stones. I have had a pleasant visit each time. The doctor's, security, nurses, and tech's have been nothing but helpful, compassionate and kind to me. This is one of the reasons why I go here when there is an emergency.

I did not like why right now I am on the 7th floor with my baby who has just been born and there are two or three nurses who do not do their job well in the afternoon my baby had high temperature and we took part of her clothes and we just left him with a blanket of those given here at night he began to cry a lot and I removed his blanket and I went and told the nurse to check his temperature but this nurse took about 15 minutes to arrive and when I had a Czech he had it in 99 and in those 15, minutes it took the nurse could see him down to 99 the point is that the nurses take too long to attend to the patients

From the ER, to SICU, to the 5th floor to the 9th floor. If the ER had paid closer attention to my mother she would of had a one day procedure for an appendicitis with a maximum of a three stay. Instead my mother's appendix ruptured complicating everything. She was at the hospital from August 10, 2017 - August 22, 2017.

Turns out mom went to the ER on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 and was sent home even after telling them that she was in severe pain in her lower abdomen. A doctor which shall remain nameless for now, prescribed her with antacids and painkillers... -___- (We are doing our personal research, as this may be a sign of medical negligence)

We are Waiting on a reply from the hospital. We were sent a letter that our concern is "under investigation"

-The SICU is fantastic with wonderful nurses.
-The surgeon who performed the surgery is phenomenal! Thank you Dr. Zaki.
-The 5th floor is so blessed to have RN's such as Vincent and Patty. They are so wise and know how to treat people. The wonderful Maria Martin; who kept the 5th floor clean made sure my mother's room was clean and fresh and that I was comfortable. I can't thank these individuals enough.
-The 9th floor (The Asian Pavilion) had wonderful RN's such as Jay, Jances and Adrian and the greatest CNA's ever Susanna and Yun.

This experience is bittersweet.

Absolutely BRILLIANT!!! Doctor David Kim and nurses are amazing!! My wife and I are very happy with the nursery and hospitality and loved the fact that Dr Kim and Our nurses Daja, Teresa , Young all very professional. They know what to do. Thank you again.

I was here in 1992 and 1993 and there were 2 caesarean sections I would like to obtain my files to have them as a memory and beautiful experiences I would like to know if you can give them to me.
