At first your doctor takes really good care of you, but once you start going on regularly basest your doctor quits & the Hospital doesn t let you know until you show up and ask them what happened to your appointments then there they will tell you that your doctor is not working with them anymore and that they are waiting for a replacement doctor!
This place is a total joke. Most of the nurses don't care about their patients. Sometimes it looks as if they're just there to gossip and flirt. The ER department is the worst. Filthy bathrooms and rooms. Roaches walking around and a lot of homeless people making up excuses to stay in the hospital. Some of the staff are okay, but most of them are rude. The 6th floor and the 10th floor are the worst. If you have other options, then I'd suggest you to try anywhere else but here.

I wouldn't even take my dog to this place. It's beyond terrible. Half of the nurses can't even speak or understand basic English language.

My mother was in the ICU for a heart attack for 5 days & every single staff member, Doctors, nurses, admin, were absolutely wonderful! Attentive & caring. Couldn't have asked for a better experience under very difficult circumstances.

Very bad service !! Even if you have an emergency they make you wait for a long time in the waiting room. When you call asking for a patient or information they are always rude. People over there is not polite. Also, they charge a lot of money and doctor don't know how to explain things and they don't cure the patients, in few words they don't do their job correctly. They should provide a better service for patients and their relatives. The operators are lazy.... please go to a better hospital if you need it

The fact i feel like this hospital was the most corrupt hospital just makes me unsafe basically, my mother was in so much pain ajd all they said was that she was low on sodium then that her muscles are tangled and then i heard that her diet isnt working the bill came up too 4,850 for 30 minutes of no attention or care my mother isnt feeling well still oh but still you guys didnt care, im so scared that she will not make it another night and all you guys said was to get Advil who in their right minds would... I dont have faith in doctors now days i hope if whoever reads this makes sure to check other hospitals before making the same mistake we did coming to this hospital. Thanks for no help.

Terrible place! have no idea why emergency would ever take my father there. I am over seas and they would not only not let me speak to him a=or help me to pick up his phone. They wouldn't tell me what is happening, I understand that's the policy, but when there no one who came or call for him and I am the only one blowing up their phone, may be that can make an exception. Also the some of the staff is rude...and I actually had to ask a receptionist to be nice to me ..ughh Terrible!!!
The service is not good the nurse only came in twice to see me I was in labor n I kept on calling them and I wouldn't get an answer..It's the worse place ever.
I was refused service at this hospital even though i consistently told the ER nurses and staff that i am planning to commit suicide by cutting my wrist with a knife. I tried to seek mental health help at this hospital but they kept refusing me services telling me to go to another hospital with explanation. This team of ER nurses and staff are corrupt and this is all being condoned by all the nurses and security guards and receptionist here as they witness the misconduct and choose to condone it. The ceo or director of this hospital should conduct a thorough review of their entire team of nurses and staff this includes the charge nurses to who coach eachother to cover up eachothers report.

This hospital is horrible my grandma is there in the ciu and they didn't do anything to try to save her now she is sick because of you guys and she is with a tube I wish you guys save my grandma
I work at the hospital as a nurse at the ER. People go there for little things like stitches; if the doctor doesn't find anything serious about it, he wants you to be discharged and follow up with your PCP. The reason is because we have to deal every day with more serious medical patients like homeless who have been in the streets exposed to the elements and become dehydrated so we have to IV those patients or they die, patients with mental conditions who need to be restrained, domestic violence, shots wound patients, uninsured, tourists, patients from other counties and the list goes on and on so we nurses have to be on the go. If you have insurance and are don't have a life-threaning situation go to the closer "urgent care" which is cheaper but still you have to wait..... some people have bad experience others not so most hospital's ER you will have some experience either bad or good depending on the situation.
I have been waiting for 2 months for my original frustration to subside before writing a review so maybe I can find a positive note to start with but no. I don t see how this place functions, gets paid, or how does a single patient actually gets diagnosed, worked up and treated here. It is between a scene from a horror movie and the DMV scene in Zootopia. Uncaring doctors who spend less than 5 minutes for patient, don t review the chart and make derogatory comments and medical mistakes. My friend got admitted here from UCLA ER with a brain MRI showing cerebral plexus and preliminary diagnosis of advanced MS, with vision and balance loss, neurologist came in without looking at chart, got her up to walk and after she fell accused her of faking and being crazy (exact words), no other neurologist was available to see her for the three days that she was there. NOTHING was done, we signed her out AMA, took her elsewhere where she was started on treatment right away. The nurse are so uncaring and dismissive, they act annoyed abs disgusted that they have to provide basic patient care, in the few day that we were there, they were always bundled with their WOWs in a corner, chatting and laughing rather than being closed to patients rooms.
Please please if they tell you that is the only hospital that takes your insurance fight it with you have in you, this is THE WORST possible hospital I ve ever encountered and I have worked in multiple hospitals and have been a patient or caregiver in many, there is no place worse.
Nurses and staff have terrible attitude towards patients. I am considering changing doctors just not going back to this hospital again!
The truth that the service of the nurses does not give much to say 3 years ago I had Ami daughter in this hospital and they did not treat me very well and a nurse before I left Ami home already told me that the sheets with which they cover the baby were told and that I did not take any ami dips house among other things I did not complain about what happened to me in the hospital because I promised not to return to this hospital !!

I was refused medical clearance and I was also denied to speak to the ER supervisor.
I was hurt on the job I was in pain . lady doing paperwork behind glass was useless ,waste of oxygen. She needs some kind of sensitivity training or maybe take a couple of classes at a dog training academy so she learns not to bite the hands that feed her. Yes this means you lady. I didnt get a chance to check her dog tag or I would call it by its name.
I had the worst experience. Guards are rude, Nurses acting like doctor she told me what she thinks about the stabbing pain in my head for 3 consecutive days and tell me to go home and take pain medication.
This ER is by far the worst ER in Los Angeles. My mom went in for hypertension, chest pain, shortness of breath, blood clots in her lungs and legs the list goes on. Yes she was admitted right away but received minimal to no service. The doctor on duty went into her "room" once, looked at a paper and that was the last time we saw him. After that my mom was taken in to get CT scan. Not even an hour later she was released and was told by the nurse she does not have any emergency related symptoms. She was advised to go to her primary doctor to discuss her test results. I asked to speak to the doctor and the nurse kept repeating to see her primary doctor. The place looks, smells, and feels like a dump. These doctors show no regards to a persons health and well being. All they see is a paper and ways to charge up insurance companies. Last time we ever come here.
My advise to go make the extra long drive and go to St. Josephs in Burbank or the General Hospital in East LA. The service, environment, and staff are extremely helpful and attentive.
My mom was taken to a different hospital the next day and sure enough she was admitted into her own room. Long story short she stayed for 5 days. Blood clots in her leg are now gone. And because of her shortness of breath and blood clots in her lungs she now has an oxygen machine at home that needs to stay on 24/7. She is showing signs of improvement no thanks to the doctor at Hollywood Presbytaryan.
My mom could've died and they would not have cared. To them she had no symptoms that need emergency care. Goes to show how much care they show to their patients...

I went in for surgery here (which was fine), because I have Healthnet and they didn't have Cedars as one of there hospital. My Insurance had told me my co-pay would be around $750. When I got there for the surgery they told me I had to pay over $1000 for my co-pay and if I didn't pay it they wouldn't do the surgery. I payed it . Now they sent me a bill for $600.
I spoke to my Insurance and they said that my total responsibility was around $750 and that the hospital needed to refund me the different. Sent them an online request and within 1 hour I received an apology and that they would send me a refund by next week.

Theyre great. I was hospitilized several times here and each time i came out feeling better. The first time i was hospitilized i found out i have COPD: EMPHYZEMA AND these people saved my life by cleaning out my lungs. Yes i still struggle from copd,, its never going away,, but atleast now i know i have it thanks to this hospital. Now i see a specialist and im getting the proper treatment i need for my ilness.

Labor and delivery admittance staff is evil. They forced my wife to sign some automatic payment plan based on some fictitious, ridiculous amount while she was on heavy sedatives. They are threatening to send the bill to collections if we do not keep paying this imaginary bill. It has been impossible to find anyone that actually knows what they are doing in this place.
This is the worse hospital I ever been it... the nurses are really bad when you ask something they don't even put attention to you .. my sister in law is in the bed already for 2 hours and 30 min and they haven't come to check her at all ... they told her that she was having a c-section at 4 and is 4 30 already this sucks ...

I been waiting for 4 hours and 10 minutes. I have a super bad headache and i can't hear from my right ear. It really has been this since a week. The nurse just told me there is nothing wrong but I can't hear from my right ear. Others have enter and been seeing from the doctor and I been with my pain.I see that this hospital is worst. I used to like this hospital but this is my worst experience. There charging me from my medical and they just don't do anything about the reason I am here. What a bad idea just have to wait here with my baby.
Terrible experience ! When you have a life and death emergency , they place you in a room with chairs and a bed that someone died in . It s very unsanitary . Don t bring your kids here they may get infected !!!!

The absolute worse hospital, if I am dying my dying wish is to not go here I would rather die honest to God. There was something wrong with my boyfriend and was in excruciating pain he could not walk the nurse in the emergency took him in in an ok amount of time did not check his vitals at all asked my boyfriend what was his problem then gave him a morphine shot which my boyfriend was in even more pain the nurse which was a bald head black male told him to walk it off. Meanwhile my boyfriend still cannot walk walk and just got a shot of morphine so the nurse pushes him to registration. My boyfriend high off morphine is tripping out sweating and throws up every where and everybody working in the hospital is looking around like they do not know what to do mind you this is about 1am on a Sunday. Needless to say we had to go to another hospital that same night because we found out this hospital made matters worse. We are currently looking into a lawsuit.
Currently my mom is in the emergency room with the stroke. We arrived at 11am. Now it is 4pm and she has not been seen by the neurologist. Nobody bothered to examine her.They told me that she would be admitted in the hospital but they don't have any beds. The nurse promised to bring medication but she forgot to do it. There are security guards everywhere, but no doctors. People are in the hallways for hours.. In the last two months I visited 3 different hospitals, but this one is the worst. If you have a choice, go somewhere else. Unfortunately for us it is too late.
UPDATE: 6th floor. 7:10pm and my mom's blood pressure is 194/95 (it was 155/90 when she has been admitted). Neuroligist has not seen her. She has not been given any medication to control her blood pressure because they didn't get orders from the doctor.

Went in to get treated for flu symptoms that were irritating a pre existing pain condition and I got treated like a junkie and was told "you're not getting any pills" by the hack PA who saw me. Lawsuit pending.

this is the worst hospital because I went here for an ER and they take so long when my heart and chest and my left arm I was there from 8:00 PM until 6:00 AM and I came out until 10:00 AM. I never going back to this hospital its better to go to CHLA the doctors from the ER they are really fast than Hollywood Presbyterian.
The surgeon Carlos conzeza is very well experienced and very nice. The day at my surgery every was so nice asking me if I was comfortable I'm glad they care about the patients gonna miss coming here I thank carlos and the others for making me feel better for taking my gallbladder out thank you so much and keep doing your thing God is in your hands while surgery God bless you
This hospital is the worst hospital I've ever been to. I've been stuck on an uncomfortable chair in the hallway in the ER for about 20 hours. I have a condition that makes sitting upright very painful. Have spoken with multiple nurses, none of whom were willing to speak to their higher ups about breaking this stupid policy because of my legitimate medical needs.

My cousin gave birth in this hospital last Tuesday. After the labor she was sent to a room where she was inadequately served. The nurse did not attend to her properly both in service and hygiene. They were rude and in some ways also racist. While others received the proper nurture. They threw her pills at her, left her in filthy blankets for days and while having a cesarean the nurse had the audacity to rip off the surgical tape and called her a cry baby. It was uncalled for and un needed and never again will she or any of us come here again.
This is the absolute worst hospital I've ever been to. I've been sitting in the filthy lobby waiting over 2 hours as I feel my body start to shut down. I feel this hospital to be corrupt due to the fact that everyone was let in before me, even though I was on the verge of passing out. The lazy security guards do nothing but chat with each other and tell you to take a seat. I have hated this experience altogether and I still have not received any treatment. I dread the rest of my stay here.

I'm from out of town and went to the ER there for acute bronchitis and an ear infection. They could not have been more accommodating for my less than emergent problem. They were so kind and efficient.
Worst place ever, ER was a nightmare and do not get me started on one of the night shifts of the SICU, my mother was a patient there and one nurse was helping her to the bathroom and did not put it correctly so it spilled over and she left the spilled pee there, which is right next to her bed, did not clean it up, did not dispose the urine or anything, worse nurse that I have ever met, if you have a choice leave, I do not recommend this hospital.
My husband has been there for more than 7 hrs. Still waiting for a doctor. I wish we can have the option that never need medical services. Workers probable are having party today and sick patients are waiting for ever!!
My GF was attacked by a dog and was bleeding when we came into the ER. They made us wait a long time. The female nurses were very rude. The front desk lady on window 1 with the black curly hair was particularly rude. Overall, none of them seemed to have any patience. Everyone looked disorganized. Sounds like a place you come to die than a place you get fixed at.
