In any other city, this would be a top tourist attraction but in Paris it is one more museum in a sea of excellent museums. The architecture of the building itself makes it a worthwhile visit. I will be honest and say that we only visited this museum because we were in the area and had a museum pass, but we were glad we did.

The only and only nice thing about this place is the view of Paris. The service gives a new definition to the word horrible. Waited more than an hour for second round of drinks that never arrived. All the waiters were continued to ignore us in spite of repeated request for service. I had to go to the host and demand the bill so that I can just leave and go elsewhere. Save your money, just go see the view and go else where for food and drinks.

Beautiful structure. Place of reflection. Modern art always evolving, a must see. For the European Union under 26 permanent installations are free. On the top floor there is a beautiful view with restaurant / bar

Probably my favorite museum so far for 20th century art. My only complaint with the location is that the tubes along the west facade of the building are not conditioned at all. I was in Paris during the peak 2019 heatwave and these tubes had to be in excess of 50 celsius.

One of my favorite Paris museums.

One of my favorite Paris museums.
The permanent exhibition is very furnished, on two floors and the temporary exhibitions, numerous and diverse throughout the year always well scenographed. The view from the stairs, the top floor and the restaurant is beautiful

How many roads must a man walk down

How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
How many seas must a white dove sail
Before she sleeps in the sand?
Yes, 'n' how many times must the cannon balls fly
Before they're forever banned?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

Yes, 'n' how many years can a mountain exist
Before it's washed to the sea?
Yes, 'n' how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
Yes, 'n' how many times can a man turn his head
And pretend that he just doesn't see?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

Yes, 'n' how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
Yes, 'n' how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry?
Yes, 'n' how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died?
The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind

Total delay in this museum

Total delay in this museum
it goes from modern architecture
but also works sometimes confusing and definitely innovative and different.

the museum has one of the three largest collections of modern and contemporary art in the world, with the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Tate Modern in London, and the first in Europe with 100,313 works from 6 396 artists on January 1, 2014. It also houses important galleries of temporary exhibitions.

The National Center for Art and Culture Georges Pompidou, familiarly called "Beaubourg" was born of the desire of Georges Pompidou (great lover of modern art), then President of the French Republic, to create in the heart of Paris an institution an original cultural center entirely devoted to modern and contemporary creation, where visual arts would be side by side with books, design, music and cinema.

Inaugurated on January 31, 1977, the Pompidou Center welcomes every year millions of visitors

an essential aspect of the museum are the many exhibitions and retrospectives organized each year ... at this time the exhibition Caesar is a must.

Check that you are queuing for the right entrance, if it is too long it means that it is not the queue for the museum but for the library. The entrance to the museum is in a square. I didn't like the visit personally, I don't appreciate modern art so I don't express myself on it. If you have children, watch out for signs, some areas are forbidden to minors and for what's inside I would have preferred to be a minor to avoid seeing it. Personally a waste of time. Enjoy your visit

The Pomp-a-queue.

The Pomp-a-queue.

Queued for an hour to get in through "security". Queued for another 40 minutes to go to the (empty) permanent exhibition. Wanted to go to the temporary exhibition (reason for our visit) but the announcements were telling us it would be another 1.5 hours queue for that - so didn't bother and went to the cafe for a salad. 24 for a salad! Didn't bother with that either, and left the place 30 lighter.

The building is very impressive. What is striking here is the absolutely reverse concept, in which the most invisible building technology is placed outside and characterizes the character of the building. Also the wide exciting ceilings of the piano and the entire structure are an absolute special feature - at least for the construction time of the building.
The shown art exhibition was a feast for the eyes.

The "Center national d'art et de culture Georges-Pompidou" is also called La Raffinerie by the Parisians.
It is a state arts and culture center.
The French President Georges Pompidou suggested it and opened it on January 31, 1977 after a five-year construction period.
Here all supply lines such as sewage, water, heating and so on were attached to the outside of the facade.
This creates the charm of a refinery
In the square in front of it, many people just sit on the ground and enjoy the day, the sun and their snacks, ice cream or drinks.

There are many exhibits, and there are also large-scale installation art. Many writers show different styles and exhibits are also many yuan, which will make those who like modern art feel full.

The library and the locals are really good, the staff are friendly too, however the internet is awful !! An afternoon almost lost to struggle to achieve the least online.

Being one of the largest library in the city of Paris, would it be too much to ask for a wifi quality, worthy of name, as the library deserves?

What a pity ....

Super building with many works. The documentation on the works is correct. We find a lot of abstract and contemporary, modern art. I recommend !
It's free for under 26s.
The view of Paris from the top of the building is incredible.

Great exhibition of modern (5th floor) and contemporary (4th floor) art with some famous names and interesting artworks. There are some free audio guides in the form of online podcasts, though not as many as I would like to hear. The building itself is also a piece of art, with a great view of Paris from the top.

They're renovating the famous facade at the moment but the interior is unaffected. It's quite empty at the moment, so a great time for a visit to the permanent collection on the 4th and 5th floors

One of the most worthwhile time i spent in Paris is in Pompidou Museum. Love modern art and i bought some mobile art with and had it at my home in Canada. Everyone asked where i got those. The artworks here are pretty amazing. You get bonus view of the city as well. The immediate area around the Musuem is pretty nice to with various shops and restaurants.

Home poorly organized, only 2 people to check the bags when they could be up to 8. We wonder why 4 queues are planned while obviously those entries without ticket and largely majority.
It is certain now that I know that I am insensitive to contemporary art. Many works are on the verge of fraud, I think of Venetian blinds, the chair presented next to his own photo, ...

Inescapable of the capital. An exceptional cultural site, lovingly maintained by enthusiasts, each exhibition is unique. The Pompidou Center pays tribute to art and culture like few places in Paris.

The building alone is a joy! Architecture and design that stands out from the rest of the neighborhood.

Always a temporary exhibition always very well done and accessible. 09/2020 exhibition on the couple CHRISTO, couple of artists whose personal story is an incredible love story!

On the top floor the permanent collection which sweeps through centuries of painting with very beautiful pieces.

I like the human size of this museum which can be visited in half a day. Two afternoons are the best if you want to take the time for things!

As you climb the floors, incredible 360-degree views of Paris

If not for the museum, then just for the architecture of the building.

Meh, the building didn't impress me at all. So it has colored pipes outside instead of inside, big deal. It was gray, dusty, and looked a bit run-down - as if the people there stopped caring about it. The area around it was alive with all kinds of crazy performers though, that was really neat. We didn't go inside, maybe it "feels" different if you do that? I expected more from something as hyped as this.

A center full of culture and expo with the structure as bizarre as fascinating, the staff is very friendly, a cloakroom service is at your disposal, a restaurant with terrace on the top floor and a magnificent view of Paris!

Once you feel unique in a unique architecture, it is nice, cool, and you can look at bookstores and shops.
The air conditioner is cool, seated, well rested and well made to appreciate your work.
Especially from the 4th floor, the panoramic view of Paris city from the exterior is good.
The disadvantage is that the language of the audio guide is not available in Korean, so I downloaded the app and translated it.

Could take days to see all aspects of it. Boring if you're not into Art. Some parts are quiet interesting. First Sunday of the month is free entry and worth going. Queue moves quite fast despite the length!

Nice

Full price and half of the rooms closed!

Ditto for Frida Kalho, Vasareli and Miro.
The very friendly employees sometimes did not even know that room 19, where this famous wall is, is closed ... for an unknown period.
So we are very disappointed with this museum
and unhappy with the lack of information at the entrance to the museum.
Where is the public money going ??? The reserves are full of works and a museum like this shows very few works!
