It s a museum. They have paintings. Too much emphasis on contemporary art for my taste.

The building itself and the exhibitions inside it are worth visiting. DO NOT pay the 5 euros for the "Vue de Paris": you do not climb on the roof, but you reach a corridor on the top floor where you can see Paris, but from behind a glass, even dirty. You can go from there to the terrace bar, which is outdoors, but offers a limited view.

A mandatory visit. Bravo for the temporary Expo of Boltansky.

Great art collection, great architecture, but the building is showing its age in not the most elegant way. Sadly.

For modern art lovers the place to be. Amazing exhibitions around the year and a great public library.

Museum of modern art very special. For the exhibition halls you have to climb up to the 4th and 5th floor using the external but covered escalators. Reaching the top floor you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view. Definitely very interesting.

The architecture of this place, while being supposedly modern and artistic, leaves me very indifferent. The inside is just as plain, but they sometimes have nice exhibitions

The National Center of Art and Culture Georges Pompidou is a cultural museum of contemporary art, with a large civic center and a public library that houses more than was inaugurated on January 31, 1977, built during the presidency of Georges Pompidou finished after his death Its building was of innovative style for the 70s, of emblematic architecture of the 20th century, designed by architects Renzo Piano and Richard Rogers. Its interior areas are wide and the reception areas were improved during a rehabilitation process in 1999. It is one of the most visited cultural centers in France, with about 6,000,000 annual visitors.
The site where his building stands is half occupied by the Center itself and the rest by a public park where activities of the Pompidou Center are carried out. In this park that is also part of the center's heritage, street theater artists, artists, small outdoor stores and youth groups related to art and culture meet. An underground car park that occupies the entire lot has its vents in the form of huge pipes that rest on the surface of the park. The Pompidu Center offers about thirty art exhibitions per year and numerous other activities such as science fiction and documentary film cycles, conferences and colloquiums, concerts, dance shows, pedagogical activities, many of them of international importance.
The Pompidou Center is one of the most important museums in the world, it has the first collection of modern and contemporary art in Europe, a large public library, documents on 20th-century art, cinemas and shows, a music research institute, spaces for educational activities, bookstores, a restaurant and a cafeteria. An important feature of the building is that the interior spaces are released to facilitate the circulation of visitors and the stairs, elevators and circulation tubes were then placed outside the construction.

The architects Rogers and Franchini, who were in charge of the design of the building, thought about it and executed it in two parts: a three-level infrastructure where the technical and service premises are regrouped and a large seven-level glass and steel that includes the terrace and the mezzanine, places that concentrates the most activity.

Cloakroom OK!: No matisse at -1 but a nice pair of cool (the nice zagents) (.. crazy paint I drank nothing but kiffer my #race .. crate a little bit pr the kid he prefers ikea;))

Very interesting exhibitions and installations. Many well-known works, among others Picasso, Miro. The architecture of the building is completely different from the surroundings, but that was the idea. You have to spend a few hours to visit, but it's worth it.

We just came from Centre Pompidou - Modern Art Museum. We had seen a Netflix special on it - one of my favorite museums ever!!

This is a gem in Paris - must see!

The art museum, contemporary art collection on the third floor was a lot of fun, with interactive art pieces. The building is ugly and the library is mostly computers.

You will have to take a whole afternoon or day to visit everything

It's a lot of walking to get from one bit to another . Some great art . Don't come with someone scared of lifts or you will literally walk a marathon

To visit to discover Paris from above. A beautiful panorama. For the exhibitions everything depends on your taste for the artists presented. We bought our tickets online, a skip-the-line advantage that saved us a lot of time!

Great museum to wander in wonderfully. With a permanent collection, especially twentieth-century art, which is top and temporary exhibitions with the best of the best. Nice to go upstairs with the escalators on the outside with beautiful views. Visited in 2016 with temporary exhibitions by Paul Klee and Gerard Fromanger.

Ok it is a must, but if you have to go with a very good background of culture, if it is all about modern art, otherwise you do not understand. There should be more informational signs and guides.

Inescapable place in Paris. Architecture "unusual". The expos are well chosen. Very well equipped. The library is good too, no registration. Inescapable place in Paris.

Very rich museum. The works presented are not always the same. You can come back, see new paintings ... The exhibitions are numerous. Small problem: those who are without the museum are not always obvious to find. But we can not see everything in one visit!

I missed the indoor exhibition, but I visited the iconic escalade across the diagonal, the underground souvenir shop and cafe, and the 6th floor restaurant. It was a pity that there were construction materials in the plaza.

Very nice museum for modern art! I highly recommend it there are lots of different styles. You will be amazed and amazed at certain works. To do the museum, it takes between 1 hour to 2 hours maximum! The building is a work in its entirety.

Huge building. 4 actual galleries. Great modern and contemporary collection. Lots of instillations

One of the essentials of your trip to Paris. If you are interested in modern art, definitely go. You should allocate at least half a day for the visit. You can stay longer. It has become a living space with its galleries, special exhibitions, cinema, cafe and bookshop. It's a queue.

Most probably in the world overrated place. The construction is generally not suitable for anything. Lookout - dirty windows limit the views.

Fantastic exhibits for people who love or want to learn about modern art.

This is an avant garde type of modern art museum with a library below. If you like modern art in a very interesting and fun looking building. (Think a giant hamster cage or McDonald's playground.) Lots of fun escalators and cool modern art exhibits. If you like modern art you will love this place.

I don't have patience for queues so I don't really look at museums and the like ... queuing is part of those people's routine kkk

A must see place in Paris - paintings from major painters are shown on a permanent basis. The view is also amazing.

Multiple levels of expositions, from the early masters to some of the abstract modern art. Be prepared to do a lot of walking. Contains large library, a snack bar and a restaurant. Top levels allows for great pictures of the city. Toilets are mediocre.

If you love modern arts go there. It was something different.

Top location! Be sure to visit the bookshop and the top floor! Enjoy the various artists who come to live in the square in front of the center!

A little disappointed that there was no information that the children's area was closed.

Contemporary art, many works, have a long line to enter and for the wardrobe.

Unassuming structure will blow your mind with the stained glass inside. A must see surprise near Notre Dame.

Pretty nice exhibition of contemporary art works. Though, it lacked enough resources for the visitors to referesh during the visit.

It brings together magnificent works of modern art. It is spacious and the works are well covered. For those who like it, the contemporary art part is very interesting, although not as much as the modern one.
