If you're thinking of going to cedar point dont even tho there are less people it still takes 1.5 to 2.5 hrs to wait cause they have sanitize seats and run empty to dry. It was hot and with wearing the masks its even hotter I saw several people falling out from heat big waste of time and money

Cedar Point is hands down the best amusement park ...

Cedar Point is hands down the best amusement park in the Midwest! They have the best coasters by far.

Steel Vengeance is one of the best coasters I ve very ridden, I highly recommend making that a must-do.

I also hugely recommend the fast-pass plus! I think the longest we ever had to wait was 45min, otherwise it was 20min or less wait time. The normal lines were over an hour for most of the major coasters. There is no way we could ve done all of them in a day without the pass. It s expensive, but worth it!

The drink plan is also well worth it. You can get a band and get a drink every 15min without having to get the reusable cup.

The only thing that was sub-par was the food plan. It sounds like a great deal but not a lot of places take it. And the ones that do there is maybe one option for you. We had a hard time just finding places that took the plan. They should expand it so all the food places take it, similar to what Disney World does. It just needs some kinks worked out!

As much as you want to have your phone with you to give you something to do while standing in line, I found it best to leave behind or give it to a non-rider. While riding, I found myself thinking about protecting my phone instead of enjoying the ride!

Great rides, friendly atmosphere...Cons rides are inconsistently open. In two days 3 different rides were closed do to malfunction. Also, there is huge delay with the park app and ride wait times. Arrived at a coster only to fi d it was closed when app said it was open.

Cedar point is great fun. The prices are pretty common in terms of amusement parks, but I would even argue they are better due to the immense amount of experiences and things to do. On the contrary, if you re a thrill-seeker there isn t much to do. I would recommend checking out this classic if you enjoy coasters, but don t expect much of anything else.

Had a blast. Rode every ride. The absolute scariest ride... Easily the Skyhawk.

I love the Valraven, Millennium Force, Power Tower. This amusement park easily has the best rides in the world.

Halloween stuff started so late with long lines you couldn't visit but 3.
Decorations weren't as good as they use to be when I was younger.
Trick or Treating area sucked!!
The all u can eat monster buffet was amazing!!!! Best part of the day.

Expensive. Very expensive especially for a family. Would be nice to see some better deals guys for groups at least. That being said... THEE most fun you'll ever have in the great state of OH. Grew up there, been to CP a thousand times and it never gets old. I live in St Louis and just laugh every time I pass Six Flags. Keep it up.

We went to cedar point july 9th for opening day 2020. No one knowing what to really expect with the new mask rules cleaning procedures and temp tent, i must say getting threw the temp tent moved smooth and easy parking was easy. Staff was learning that day just like the rest of us because this was the first day for EVERYONE dealing with this situation. Staff was on top of any person not wearing their mask correctly. Cleaning rides inbetween each ride. Yes this added to a little bit longer wait times but they are trying to keep everyone safe as well as trying to give them a good time. Yesterday was 90 degrees with real feel of 102. So yes wearing the mask during that temp was uncomfortable however we knew what the temps were going to be and chose to go. Cedar point obviously can't control the weather.

Lines were long yes but they tried there best to get everyone on by handing out access cards which spread people getting in lines by hours our cards for steel vengance was between 2 and 3 pm yes there was a 3 hour wait still with that card however it scattered people coming to be in the line.

I will say cedar point did an amazing job following the CDC guidlines and making sure mask were worn and worn right. Sanitizing and cleaning while still making sure everyone had a great time.

I give alot of props to cedar point on opening day of 2020 this being new to them and us and yes there was a little confusion here and there but that is only to be expected when dealing with the change they had to make and it being the first day of this.

Great job to all the staff at cedar point

It's always a great time st Cedar Point. However, the park should let you know what rides are down prior to a long drive. Many ride were either down or experiencing mechanical issues. Extremely disappointing.

This was a awesome weekend with my friends. So much to do and see. 2 things to remember if you want to drink get it b4 9pm Ohio stops selling at 10pm. 2nd you will need more then 2 days to fully enjoy this amazing place

I currently live in Phoenix, AZ, and had a trip scheduled to Cedar Point in Sandusky, OH, from June 23, 2020, to June 30, 2020, for me and my two grandchildren which had to be cancelled due to the COVID 19 pandemic. Cedar Point did not open for business until July 11, 2020, for season pass holders and resort visitors.

I requested a refund from the merchant and subsidiary companies several times for the four charges from Cedar Point Amusement Park for the following amounts: $156.00, $156.99, $156.99 and $411.47. These charges were for three 2020 Season Passes and six 2020 Fast Lane Pass Upgrades.

I purchased these items on line on 2/17/2020 prior to knowledge of the upcoming COVID 19 situation. Once realizing that the situation was going to snowball into something that none of us were capable of understanding and because the tickets were not only for me but for my grandchildren of which I have no control over permission of their travel, I began my refund requests for all aspects of the vacation. My hotel deposit was refunded and my American Airline ticket purchases were kindly refunded. The only refund I have been unable to receive from this booking is the admission season passes and fast lane upgrades to Cedar Point Amusement park.

Their pan answer is we will extend the passes for next year. Well, I don t need the passes for next year, as who knows what next will bring. I understand that they are going through difficult times, but people that were willing to support their business are going through even more difficult times. If other businesses are willing to do right thing, why is Cedar Point/Cedar Fair permitted to keep money from a customer when their facility was closed during the time the customer was to visit?

Please read all of the reviews on ConsumerAffairs prior to making a decision regarding buying tickets or going to Cedar Point. You may not want to do either.

It was ok..the rides were breaking down right as we showed up we waited for top thrill dragster for 2 hours and as we went to get on it wasn't working right..people were coming back the wrong way on the dragster..I was really hoping it was going to b more than it was because we don't get to do much because everything is so extensive...people were great though

Rides are very fun but a fast pass is very necessary if you want to try and ride everything at least one or two times. Food prices are very high but drink options aren't that bad with all day drink refill cups. Overall good place for the family if you got $$$

Best amusement park I have ever been to, hands down. SO many amazing roller coasters, clean, lots to do besides rides, pretty landscaping, nice food options, pleasant staff. Great location on Lake Erie! I can't wait to go back again and again. We drove 12.5 hours to go here and it was well worth it!

Rides were fine, but employees on some rides were incredibly rude. I was waiting in line for a skyhawks and a person behind me deliberately bumped into me to say the line was moving I asked them not to do that and they began yelling at me. I did not touch that person at all The ride operater made me get to the back of the line and only me. They refused to let me get on skyhawk despite me meeting the conditions to ride it and threatened to call the police if I tried to enter the loading platform.

I would not recommend going during COVID-19. There are no fast pass sales and the rumor that the lines are short are FALSE. We couldn t find any lane that took under 1hr 45min. The best coasters were over two hours long. The prices of everything, especially food and parking went from laughable to unacceptable. ($20 dollars to park in an empty lot and $45 dollars for two average sized meals at Panda Express which is a fast food restaurant.) Managers can pat their employees on the back for enforcing mask rules but it s become a power trip now for them as I couldn t even take my mask off for a moment anywhere without two or more employees rudely yelling from across the area MASKS ON! I understand the importance of mask wearing but anyone would be annoyed from this. This is the authoritarian behavior that anti-maskers feared. The vibe is not good, the lines are longer than before COVID, and the prices will send you into bankruptcy.

I don't have any thing really bad to say about it because i went on October 26 and it was really rainy but that isn't the parks fault. When i went into a haunted house only some people were doing there jobs, and i thought the haunted houses were going to be a lot more scarier but i go in and i see workers sitting down in fold up chairs having full personal conversations, like get up and do your jobs!! i waited a hour in line for a haunted house and i was disappointed it wasn't scary at all!!

Loved Halloweekends! Just wish they had an app showing which rides will be down for that day. Wanted to ride the Dragster but it wasn't running Oh and don't waste your money for Fast Pass! We were there from 11am-8pm and rode every main attraction easily and ate lunch for an hour! Fun times

It was fun in the sun even though we didnt get a fast pass and we waited 1 hour for a ride we had the time of our lives. That was my first time going to Cedar Point and I will be happy to come back here.

Had fun at the trick or treat event. They did good with the kids. Very strick on social distancing and masks, which I appreciated. Disappointed some of the rides required access passes, I guess understandable. Lots of people.

Beautiful park and lots of ride options, but it would be nice if the rides (Maverick, Gemini, etc.) didn t break down every few minutes before we were about to board. What makes it even worse is that the employees didn t even inform us of what is wrong with the ride / when it will be back up. Poor service and very inconvenient for those who do not have a fast pass. Efficiency can also be improved at this park (have a better ticketing system and have more people scanning tickets at the gates). Take notes from Disney, that s all I have to say I d come back to this park, but only if I am able to buy a Fastpass.

My wife and I drove in from fort Wayne IN and I know that Covid has a lot to do with it but I remember a much different experience then my wife and I had this evening. I was looking forward to reliving some old memories with my wife over our anniversary weekend and creating new ones as it was her first time. We waited in line for 2 hours for the top thrill dragster and somehow in all the years it's been around it still breaks down every time. So we left that ride it still wasn't running properly. We were able to ride a grand total of 2. I repeat "2"!!! Coasters due to nearly every ride running at least an hour wait a piece. With you guys not being able to open till noon it didn't leave much time to enjoy everything you offer. Also I don't know what kind of show you offer now that the old laser light show is dead but there was no announcement that I heard about when or what it would be so there's another memorable moment missed or destroyed. Over all decent staff. Mostly handling covid decently. But I certainly am not going to spend my hard earned money on that anytime soon. A lot of hopes and dreams broken on our way home now.

This park has it all. Its a very clean and friendly place that is fun for the whole family. I like to go every year but its been awhile since we've been there. This park has all the greatest coaster's you can imagine, and it has a great water park that will cool you off on those hot Summer days. The only reason I didn't give this park a five star is because of the prices on the food and drinks, but you can pack your own cooler and take it in with you to save a few bucks especially if you have a large family. I hope you can go and check this park out, you won't regret this extremely fun and friendly amusement park.

Another Review is the last thing anyone needs. But here are some photos and videos from Halloweekends if it helps. These events have come a long way since meager beginnings in the late 90s.

For any bigger people heading there DONT. I couldn t fit on my coaster. Only a couple spiny rides and the merry go round.

Haven t been there in twenty years and was the best day ever... lighthouse point was quiet and cozy, great for the family... there were twelve of us and it was a blast.... go all inclusive and spend the extra money..... thanks cedar point for a great place... love that they play the National anthem before you go in the park

Was a little disappointed. Dragster was down the entire 2 days we were there. Maverick down partially on one day and first the entire 2nd day. Gemini broke down right as we got on and we had to get off. The rest was fine.

Hey Guys so was just here yesterday drove 5 hours ...

Hey Guys so was just here yesterday drove 5 hours to come here I use to love this park until yesterday while we got there it was quick and easy to get inside but what the big problem was that 4 Main rollercoasters that you want to get on for sure there you couldn t reason being is there giving out these tickets inside the park which you have to try to get to each station which let me just say each station is far away from eachother meaning you have to try to run to each one grab these tickets to be able to ride that roller coaster because if you don t have that ticket you can not ride the ride and they only give out so many too so they run out after giving out so many leaving you with no ticket I managed to get two tickets it s nearly impossible to try to get all 4 tickets to ride these 4 major roller coaster that you would come to this park for ! So hey I thought well I got two tickets should be able to get on both rides at least we ll no you still can t because they give you an hour on that ticket for set time for you to ride that ride but problem is your standing in line forever to get on that ride from the previous hour people who are still in line making you miss your other ride time frame I gave this one star because they basically are ripping people off was not worth 45 something dollars for ticket when they have it set up like this very disgusted with this park don t waste hours of driving to come here until the covid 19 stuff is fixed

It was a horrible experience for us yesterday. We spent months planning this trip and close to 500. 00 dollars to make this trip, only to ride 1 ride. We purchased the all day dining pass to get a cold pizza and just a sloppy plate of Chinese food. Ride wait time were 3 plus hours...

I used to love this place but they keep tearing down all of the old rides that we loved and are just trying to constantly build the biggest, fastest, whatever. Trying to break records. I'm done with this place.

We went there for the fall fun..
. I guess we were expecting to see more people and costumes walking around the park I understand the haunted houses aren't open in that but it would have been nice to see some characters walking through the park period when it came to getting service at your vendors they were very slow and none of them seem like they were any kind of rush to serve you . You need to work on your customer service . It's very disappointed

World record coasters in a cozy Ohio town. No other amusement park comes close for roller coasters. Pro tips - go on a Tuesday or Wednesday for maximum fun and minimum lines. Skip holiday weekends. Plan ahead, budget, and buy Fast Lane passes. Well worth the investment. Don't pay full gate price for tickets. Discounts are available through many channels. If you're on the fence, skip the other park you're considering and only come to Cedar Point. It's the best and always will be. Also, buy a T-Shirt and photo for your favorite ride. You'll appreciate the souvenir and forever cherish the memories here.

I have not been there in a while until a couple days ago but, but it's still fun as I remember it so many things to do at the park. I would recommend if you are going there use Groupon the tickets are less expensive if you use it

Overall good experience through this pandemic. I was a little frustrated paying $65 for a funpix pass... that we were denied a picture because my daughter's mask slipped down while she was going 100 mph (or so) on a ride. Worker told her to bite her mask next time. Food lines and drink lines were for the most part easy and short, quick moving. The skateboard ride operator seemed to be a little too neurotic for cleaning... making what should've been a 15 minute wait into an hour... we ended up leaving as we had another 45 estimated wait due to social distancing methods they used (much more stringent than EVERY other ride we went on. The millennium force ticket system was a joke... hour to get a ticket... 2 hour wait for the ride. No way could anyone do all 4 coasters that required a pass. But we will still be back because they are doing what they can to deal with the pandemic and keep the park open for us families.

Something to do for everyone of all ages. Thoroughly enjoyed the day. Perhaps next time we might get a hotel or camp nearby and get a 2 day pass. There's so much to do and can't fit everything in on one day.

Their motorized wheelchair with canopy is a comfortable ride. We went on a sunny day and the canopy was a life saver! Better to reserve one prior to visit as it is on a first come, first served basis if not reserved. Used it for nearly 8 hours and didn't run out of battery power.

They have a locker area just beyond the entrance. Wished i had know that ahead of time...couldn't find that info on the website.

No outside food allowed.

Grounds are kept clean.

A bit pricey but definitely a worth it experience. If you re a thrill seeker, this park is worth the expense and trip. Make use of Fast Lane Plus passes, especially if you will only be here for a day and don t live nearby.

Cedar Point is always a great time. The rides are so much fun, I even took my 2.5 and 4 year old this trip and there was plenty of rides for them too, we all had a blast. There's enough of assortments of rides that it has something for everyone and there's tons of choices for food. This is a great place for a family day!

Hot mess of a disorganized company. Took a group of students as a reward trip, ordered and paid for gift cards for each of them to be able to spend in the park as they pleased. After waiting over 30 minutes to get the cards upon arrival, we began our way through the park and when stopping for lunch at a vendor in the park, we waited in line for 20+ minutes to find out that the gift cards would not work at the register. Wasted another 45+ minutes of our kids day then at guest services arguing with a manager that a food voucher did not replace the experience that the kids were supposed to have with the gift cards. We were then told that the incorrect cards were activated that morning and that was the problem. Only to then go to another vendor later on to wait again and be told that the cards would still not work.
The rides were acceptable and the park decently clean for having only been open for a couple of weeks by this point. But the customer service was far less than savory and our kids unfortunately lost a couple hours of their day due to the clear goal of profit over service that this park was exuding for the day.

So much fun. So much to do. Food is pricey but if you plan ahead of time not a problem. Stayed at the cabin at light house point and highly recommend. Within walking distance to cedar point or they have a shuttle

Worst serviced park in the country. No one knows what they are doing and rides break down more often in one week than in any other park in the country for a year. Brainless monkeys could manage this amusement park more efficiently.

Been here at least a dozen times and it's always a blast. This time could have been better though, as some of the best rides were closed (Top Thrill Dragster & Valravn were closed all day; Millennium Force, Rougarou, Maverick were on/off all day), making the Fast Lane Plus less of a deal. I highly recommend checking the Cedar Point app to see which rides are open before buying the pass so you can decide if it's worth it to you.

Great variety of attractions, they do a great job during this pandemic cleaning up, but they need to be more organized moving people between each trip on rides, if you have a family of 4 and there is only 2 seats available they hold you up for the next trip which is great but don't pull any persons behind you to fill those empty seats which makes waiting time longer and frustrated. Great park overall hope to come back soon.

During my forty years as a guest and ten years as an employee, I can say Cedar Point is the best park out there. The entertainment and tourism attractions will fill your days...even your summers. It has a lot of "something for everyone."

Place is fun and big. When I went I only had enough time to discover half the park. The price to get in is reasonable but they have a membership you can do. There are variety of restaurants and food trucks. This is a kid friendy place so take them.

Coaster rider since early 1950's Puritas Springs Park. For me, M-Force & Steel Vengeance tie for best Coaster anywhere. Use parking by Magnum Entrance for kwiker access. Wear your most comfortable shoes! If you get one oi f the Season passes be sure to add the all-season drink pass to your card.
