ABSOLUTELY DISAPPOINTING!!! half the rides were shut down or needing maintenance. And I understand the Covid epidemic, but only being open TWO (2) days a week for 8 hours a day and NOT having your rides running!! I mean come on!!! Thats why we are paying GOOD money, to go and have a good time!!! NOT wait in 3 hour lines because the rides are broke down. Plus you are only letting in a certain amount of people per day. It seems to me that you would want to make these the best times possible for all families, especially in the financial situation the economy is in now a days!!
Simply the best park I've ever been to. They take these rides to the next level. I was here all day long and my feet hurt by closing time but it was absolutely worth it.
Had to wear masks all day, got snapped at by Associates when I took my mask off just to breathe a little bit. I will not go back there until this whole crisis is over. Only got to ride like for rides in a 6 hour. They aren't selling fast passes right now they're understaffed and half the rides were shut down and all the good rides require a pass that requires you to go to the ride to get the pass at a certain time and then only allows you back at the ride at a certain time it's very weird how they set that up and it's a very weird way for them to handle everything that's going on
Awesome park, some of the best rides I have even been on (my husband more so than me though). We got stuck on the cable cars but as soon as we got off they handed us the immediate pass to skip all lines completely to make up for it so I feel they made it right, right away. All day soda pass is definitely worth it as well. Just watch out for the water ride with the logs. When they say you will get completely soaked, they mean COMPLETELY SOAKED. Definitely a fun ride though! Even more fun watching unsuspecting riders get soaked from the bridge area and their reactions!
I have been to a bunch of parks around the country and I have to say Cedar Point is by far my favorite. The rides always seem to be well maintained with very little down time (except Top Thrill Dragster but that's due to high winds). The food choices are plentiful and the park is always clean. Forbidden Fronter is a welcome addition in 2019 and my daughter loved it.
It would be nice if Cedar Fair would create a rule for the teen groups that come that they must be with an adult at all times. Last weekend we saw a certain group forcing their way to the front of multiple lines while the adults that brought them were all sitting in the smoking area playing on their phones
All in all a great place for a day or two away from the real world.
Cedar Point is a coaster lovers dream. They have the best collection of coasters in the world! They have taken strides to make the park more family oriented in recent years with the addition of a new executive chef that seems to be improving the quality of the food and the addition of Forbidden Frontier. Only complaint we ever have is some of the restrooms need updated and most need to be cleaned more often.
We LOVE Cedar Point! Fun for the whole family. Get season passes to get the most bang for your buck! I've been seen going since I was a little girl and now I go with my own family.
I love this place! We had so much fun eventhough we were here for just four hours. Wish the waiting time was a little less. We got stuck on a ride due to a mechanical issue though (not while in motion)
Fun for the whole family. This place is especially great if you love roller coasters. My only issue is the staff can be rude im some of the restaurants and they should think about placing charging stations throughout the park.
Had a great time with my son and nephew. It was their first time on a roller coaster and they loved it! Had their arms up and everything! Great way to celebrate my sons 12th birthday
The rides are always an enjoyment, when they are open and running. I've loved this park for the last 25 years. However, the staff should be fluent in English. A majority of ride operators could not be understood. Many times we tried to approach employees with questions and they would tell us they couldn't speak English. Employees who did not know what or where guest services was. In the water park, the employees have no idea what is going on and are not on the same page when it comes to what rules are enforced. I still love this place, but the customer service is very lacking these days. Put your workers through some English and public speaking classes.
For a family day out Cedar point had to be visited, there was a lot to do for all ages. Some how managed to sit on Millennium Force and all I can say is enjoy the ride hahaha. Weather was nice and warm so we also had a great time on the jet ski.
The roller coasters and attractions are amazing! Always have been, and keep getting better. The loss of 1 star is bc of prices. Prices for everything - from $15 for a single picture on a coaster, to now having to buy the fudge by the "slice" opposed to by the lb. or 1/2 lb. like before, and everything in between. Seems they want you to pay more, to receive less. They're building more and more so pretty soon it'll be so you can't get the whole experience in 1 day. Will have to buy the 2 day pass or miss out on some otherwise GREAT things. Overall, it was fantastic and fun.
I love this amusement park. I have been going here since I was a kid and try to make it there every year. During these times I feel that they have made it a very positive and safe experience, even more than going to the grocery store.
Love Cedar Point! We went on a weekday in hopes of a less busy crowd. Lines were still a bit long. But not too bad. Rode all the big coasters. Steel Vengeance... Holy cow! That is a crazy ride. You do have a long wait but it is worth it. They do have you walk through a metal detector. You can bring anything on the ride due to safety. But there are small bags to put keys or a phone in under your seat. They take this very serious! Shout out to Suleyman at Millennium Force. He was very kind and removed a group of teens that had cut the line. Dewana at Maverick photo... It was closed but let us come in so we could get our photo. And the blond guy on Top Thrill Dragster who calmed be down as I started to freak out. Awesome staff!
Cedar Point was nice & fun. Food was way too expensive. We stayed at Hotel Breakers, for the expensive price we paid I expected a few more things to be better. It was nice staying in the park.
Cedar point is Okie. Like its so hit and miss. The rides are deff. the best and usually the wait times aren't to bad. But the food sucks unless you are just getting french fries and all the games are kinda rediculously priced. But at the same time you expect that. 3 stars because it's a good park but doesn't give a full theme park experience like you would at say Disney or Orlando.
Fantastic amusement park. Rides are something to write home about. Busy. VERY BUSY, but that's to be expected for one of the best amusement parks in the country. The only downside I am 100% confident in leveling against Cedar point is the food isnt great. Recommend bringing your own and eating at your car/hotel
The rest of the coasters are fun, don't get me wrong, but there is only one real reason to go here.... ...Steel Vengeance is just the most amazing coaster ever built, and I've been on over 250 ones. Beginning to end you are constantly out of your seat and defying gravity. Amazing ride. It doesn't hurt they also have like a dozen more great coasters to fill out the day ;) One of the best parks out there; in my top 10!
Fun place to visit. Don t forget to get the tickets from Costco 2 for 99 with parking, or get the promotion ticket online before visit. Not necessarily need to get express ticket, has taken 8 rides, only one ride has to wait for about 20 minutes.
Being tall has gotten me in trouble at Cedar Point. I can't ride Coasters I could ride 20 years ago. I waited in line for two hours to ride Steel of Vengeance. Only to be told I couldn't ride because my legs were too long and they couldn't close the Restraint. Same thing for gatekeeper that I road on two years ago. Now two years later told I couldn't ride that
Cedar Point is, in my opinion, the epitome of what an amusement park should be. You don't have to be a rollercoaster fanatic to enjoy the park for the day, but if you are in to coasters, this is your Mecca. They have the best combination of quality and quantity of any park in the country. Combined with world class amenities, games, and attractions, it is truly the gold standard by which all other amusement parks must be judged. If you're trying to decide on a park to visit this summer (or spring or fall) and Cedar Point is an option, your decision is easy. It's worth and extra hour or two in the car. It's worth the extra $100. Stop questioning your options, the decision is made. You're going to Cedar Point.
Drove 6 hours, spent 600.00 for 4 people for just the park, not including gas, food, and hotel to stand in line for 2 hours to ride... And then the best rides were down. But your workers were very nice...
I love Cedar Point, it's my personal favorite amusement park out of the 16 I've been to. The rides are good, and the operations are fast. Make sure you get the french fries, they really are amazing.
So many great roller coasters. And the views from all the rides are stunning with all the water. We loved the Tricks or Treats tasting option we added to the tickets. It definitely enhanced our experience. Can't wait to go back!
I appreciate all of the extra hard work put into opening during the Rona. Don't go with high expectations, just be happy to be there, or you'll more than likely be let down. I'll still go again this year though, because I am truly happy to ride the few that are open.
We love this place. Rides are incredible. Staff was nice this visit. Food and parking prices are extremely outrageous though. After an expensive ticket, the "extras" are just too much.
I LOVE Cedar Point, that's why it saddens me to only give 3 stars. There are a few reasons that I can't give one of my favorite places on Earth a 5. First of all, the actual price to get in is getting ridiculous! Only the rich could afford to take their family at full price. Secondly, the food cost is also ridiculous. Most meal deals are $12!. So where is all this money going? Probably not to the workers, who are working long hours and still being very pleasant! It's also definitely not going into maintaining clean bathrooms. They were not clean at all. I don't remember them ever being that bad. One in particular on the outside of the main Midway arcade smelled so bad we could barely stand to use it. Cedar Point is a great place, but I'm sad to see some of these problems. I hope it gets better.
Not the cleanest or friendliest, but def best coasters. The Vertical Impact show was impressive too, esp the woman on inline skates, the tightrope person and the biker who wiped out and still threw a flip in the finale. Professionals. Melt is good for indoor eats, pricey but taste, huge portions, consider spitting if you can.
ABSOLUTELY LOVED THE BEACH AND WATER PARK, although it is mentioned online they close at ten, like the regular park when in fact they close at seven on weekdays.
I've been coming here since I was young and now I bring my kids and we still have a great time everytime! This is a park you can't get through in one day so try to plan for several days.
Cedar Point is the greatest coolest amusement park. It have the best roller coasters you could have a ride like the dragster, Magnum XL 200, Gemini the twin roller coaster, Blue Streak, the Maverick, and let's not forget the corkscrew. You want to have a blast and a lot of fun go to Cedar Park. They also have Halloween weekend discount. And they have the best Pointfest concert ever.
It reminds me of going to the carnival when I was a kid. That feeling of fun all around you. Crazy rides everywhere and plenty for the little ones too.
We are season pass holders and attended yesterday 6/5/19. Everyone at Cedar Point does a great job and they have the best rides. The only reason I gave three stars was because I myself received 30 mosquito bites on my arms and legs. Not sure how many the rest of my family got. Before, I have gone and not ever worn insect repellent without any issues, but I sure wish I had yesterday. I won t be making that mistake again. You ve been warned....wear repellent!! Oh, and maybe some sunscreen, if the sun ever comes out. Otherwise, great park. Maybe Cedar Point could get some insect/pest control tips from Disney World?.
Great park, amazing rides. Plenty to do, definitely suggest getting a 2 day pass to try it all. The only draw back is the new pass set up for the 4 big rides. You wait about an hour to get the pass so they dont run out, then when your time is available to use the pass you still wait in at least an hour long line again. Honestly the waiting no longer mattered after the ride was over!
Excellent park, excellent rides! Took my son for his 8th birthday and had a blast. Not much to criticize about park. Cedar point was clean and well maintained and had awesome employees with hardly any lines when I visited. A lot you do for kids of any age as well as shows. I had the chance to enjoy the vertical impact show which was quite entertaining. Watching them flip and dance and bounce all over stage was fun and full of energy. I would definitely recommend the park the rides and shows to anyone who is a theme park enthusiast. My son and I are already planning our next trip there. We had a great time and ensure you will to.
The rides were awesome as usual. But there is no where to park and charge an electric vehicle in the entire parking lot. Some EV charging stations would be nice
In spite of the Covid once you got inside the park they were very well organized and enforced the social distance and mask rule all while maintaining professional attitudes and standard. We had an amazing time ridding the roller coasters and parasailing. Thanks to all the staff!!
I was really excited to spend a weekday in off season here and experience the rides without the crazy waits I've had in the past. However, only about half the coasters were ever running at any given time which was irritating because it caused us to miss some favorites but also because that made the waits on the open rides longer despite the park not being overcrowded. The Steel Vengeance closed multiple times while I was in line for it and was only open a few hours of the day in total to begin with and only operating one train. Most food and drink stands were closed as well. Off season tickets should be much cheaper if that is how the place is going to operate and they should not be heavily marketing a coaster that they are barely limping along.
Only problem is the access passes for the big 4. It creates longer lines at the rest of the rides. It would be better if you scanned season passes for i entry to each of the big 4 and not just getting lucky to ride one. But they are doing a great job despite the virus. Coronacation 2020
Great times as usual but definitely get the speed pass and skip the line. you spend more time standing in lines without it than anything and it's too hot for that in the summer.
Does any thing really need to be said about the Mecca of rollercoasters? This is the hands down best rollercoaster park in the US and probably the world. Even though some of its best rides are now approaching 10 and 20 years old they continue to add new coasters or reinventing old ones. It's newest coaster Steel Vengeance is a new take on the former Mean Streak layout and is a relentlessly fantastic coaster and is truly represents the coaster history of Cedar Point.
Truly the rollercoaster capital of the world! I had to lower my review to 4 stars due to their poor control of wait times for fast pass customers. Most parks let you buy these kinds of passes which reduce wait times to under 30 minutes. But Cedar Point's often will still have you waiting for over an hour. Too bad. Otherwise it's a great park.
I went on a Sunday and it was not that packed. Longest wait time was an hour and 15 minutes for Millenium Force. Most ride wait times were 15-45 minutes.
