I love this theater most people do not even realize it is there, because it is thought to be a part of the High Museum. This theater is a lot more intimate than the Fox, but not too small that you cannot enjoy a major production! I was able to see the Color Purple here a few years ago and it was great, the intimate stage made us feel as if we were part of the play. I absolutely adore this theater and I love the location considering it is convenient to both Marta, and great nearby restaurants. While you are there take advantage and cross the courtyard and check out the High Museum!

We attended a performance of Ever After at this location. Beautiful facility, amazing service and ample parking (provided you purchase the parking pass ha!). The play was wonderful and the space was intimate yet fitting for the work.

Parking on the street for $7 . Get there a little early. Very nice roomy clean venue. We saw "Christmas Carol".
The stage was decorated, the costumes were really cool and captured the era, and the actors were believable. We really enjoyed ourselves.
The theater sells liquor beverages . There's a small gift shop with novelty items.
Inside the theater. There was no "bad" seat. The staff was very nice and helpful. Plenty of staff around to help.
Kid friendly. There's a couple restrooms. Therefore waiting was minimal.

We will definitely be back for more shows.

Alison a GREAT teacher. She gives constructive criticism, in my opinion which is good. As soon as you come in you are given an introduction from the teacher. You don't sit in a chair just to hear them talk, your are actually performing. The staff is very professional and helpful, everyone greets you with a smile. All questions that you have are answered on the spot in details. The prices are VERY affordable.

Marta is a excellent choice for commuting to Alliance Theatre. Once you get off the train you walk to the escalator or stairs, go to connecting breezeway and get on the elevator, and across from there is the entrance to the building. No need to go towards the street. I didn't know that going, but leaving I when this way. Safe way if you're taking evening classes.

Fabulous theater! A great place to catch some high quality shows at a good price. The theater is relatively small so every seat is a good seat! My friend and I sat in the back row for one show, and we were thrilled with our view. Food and beverages are very expensive. Parking is also a cost, we found it cheaper to use ride share. Note that many shows don't have an intermission.

One of the best, underrated performing arts venues in Atlanta. I had a season pass a few years back and enjoyed all of the shows that I went to see. All of the shows are originals, so this is always something unique!

Saw Sierra Boggess in Ever After and it was indeed a fabulous show! Seen many broadway productions and this one is next! The music was well written, lots of dancing, fun, comical scenes, costumes were amazing. Sierra was a perfect fit for Danielle with a voice that will blow you away!!! What a spectacular performance by all! The alliance theatre is beautiful, I will be back for more shows. Ever After WILL make it to broadway! Only an experienced food critic would think otherwise, Ha!

The Christmas Carol is a great play put on by the Alliance Theatre. I have seen them preform the play at the Cobb Energy Center and at their home, Alliance Theater. I much prefer the Alliance Theater venue. It is smaller, but that only means that every seat has a great view.

Alliance Theatre: Expanding Hearts and Minds on Stage and Off

Alliance Theatre is a national theater located in Atlanta, Georgia. The company has been entertaining audiences for over 50 years with its innovative productions that challenge the status quo and inspire new ways of thinking. With a mission to expand hearts and minds on stage and off, Alliance Theatre is committed to deeply engaging with the local community, modeling radical inclusion, and creating catalytic experiences that leave a lasting impact.

At Alliance Theatre, diversity is not just an afterthought but an integral part of their programming. The company believes that acknowledging and embracing differences in identity is essential to a dynamic cultural conversation. This commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion can be seen in all areas of their organization from casting decisions to educational programs.

One of the unique aspects of Alliance Theatre's programming is its dedication to producing new works by emerging playwrights. The company has commissioned over 100 world premieres since its inception in 1968. This commitment to supporting new voices ensures that Alliance Theatre remains at the forefront of American theater.

In addition to producing plays, Alliance Theatre offers a variety of educational programs for students ranging from kindergarten through college. These programs include workshops led by professional actors as well as opportunities for students to attend performances at discounted rates.

Alliance Theatre's commitment to community engagement extends beyond its walls with initiatives like "The Collision Project." This program brings together high school students from diverse backgrounds across Atlanta for an intensive two-week workshop where they collaborate on creating original works inspired by classic texts.

Another way that Alliance Theater engages with the community is through partnerships with local organizations like the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and High Museum of Art. These collaborations allow for cross-disciplinary exploration while also providing access points for audiences who may not have otherwise engaged with theater.

As one would expect from such an innovative company, Alliance Theater has won numerous awards including Tony Awards for Best Regional Theater (2007) and Best Play (1991). Additionally, many notable actors have graced their stages including Samuel L Jackson who got his start at Alliance Theater before becoming a Hollywood icon.

In conclusion, if you are looking for thought-provoking theater that challenges your assumptions while also celebrating diversity then look no further than Alliance Theater in Atlanta Georgia!
