I truthfully love Cedar Point, but the pricing has just gotten rediculous. I spent almost as much money for a decent weekend in cedar point as I had spent on two other vacations last year. The two other vacations were five nights on Amelia Island in Florida, and four nights in Gatlinburg Tennessee. Needless to say there are much better options for a good experience that are considerably cheaper.

If your not a rolls coaster fan then this I not the place for you, but if you are then your in for a treat. Cedar point has tons of nice rides, rough ones and smooth ones they have a great kiddy land for the kids. The food there is perfect in everyway. Though I only rate this 4 starts is because of Steel Vengeance policy about phones, i fo understand for safety but what if we need to be in contact for our parents?
No wonder why they call it the roller coaster capital of the world!!! Definitely recommend the fast pas plus, people without them said they were waiting 2 to 3 hours. This is such an amazing park to go to and I definitely recommend also going during the week day, there are less people. Again, this is such an amazing place!!!
I appreciate the measures they are taking to combat COVID, but everything takes unbearably long. I rode 3 rides in 7 hours. Waste of time and money. I ve enjoyed Cedar Point in the past, but this year is just not the year to go. Also no one understands to wear their masks over their noses lol.
I grew up going here, and last summer we brought our son and my nephew. We stayed the night at the hotel connected to the park. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the park and water park. We went there for the kids, but I had a blast too. We went mid-week and literally walked on most of the rides. We all had an awesome time!
It was fun except when riding wearing mask is really hard to breath. And alot of people didnt do what they was suppose to do and i have anxiety attacks so it was harder on me. We only got to ride 3 rides from 12 to 7 for 100$ so we wish we could of rode more would of had more fun.
Labor day weekend 2019, been here 10 hours and i've only been on 3 rides. Waited 3 hours for a ride that broke and never came back. Was given no compensation. Huge waste of time and money. Never coming again.
Great experience and well priced. It s always fun to come to Cedar Point! Steel Vengeance is my new all-time favorite coaster. I waited 2 hours for a chance to ride and it was well worth it. Coming during the week and early in the season was a perfect decision, I checked off all of the rides!
Nice rides and probably the best rides I've ever been on. The only downside was that multiple rides were closed the times we went and seemed to be they were just closed to be closed. Also I don't like how they have a "fast pass" option to skip lines. Overall a nice place.
Love this place it's my favorite park to go to how ever I was extremely disappointed that Maverick was down the entire 2 days I was at the park that was the main ride that I wanted to ride. Nevertheless if you want to ride everything I encourage you to buy the express fast lane pass because most popular rides wait time was as long as 3 hours.
It was such an awesome weekend trip from pa. Me and my friend had such a blast. It was a windy day so unfortunately some rides were closed for the day....
It's still BREATH TAKING after coming 9 years straight and with my hubby's family that has been coming for over 60+ years It's a GREAT family getaway with things for everyone. It has beaches, pool, a Great Lake, coasters, food, family games and entertainment for all ages
I visited the park 8-22-20. Was in the park for 4hrs wasnt able to ride a single ride. After waiting in line for an hour I went to guest services asking for a refund. The guy said they would not refund our tickets. The policy was on line and I saw it when I bought the tickets. I asked for him to show me, his responce was the same. The policy is on line. I asked to speak with a manager he told me this wasnt an issue for a manager. As a customer that is not happy with the service I payed for I think I should be refunded for that service. I was at guest services longer than I was in the rest of the park.
Cedar Point has lost its VALUE. Value is "getting your money's worth" and that is not the case anymore. The last few times I have gone have been horrible experiences. Parking traffic is a mess, they allow excessive amounts of people in the park and the cost is too high! The most rides I have done in a full day recently has been ONLY 6! This past weekend it was 3 rides in 9 hours. That is a scam. Every one of the top 7 or 8 coasters had a 2+ hour wait and some hitting 3 or even 4 hours. Way too much time to spend in line! The tickets are expensive to enter the park, plus charge for parking, then add more if you eat in the park (food is not good, but yet is expensive). And how about working on Reliability of the rides? Several are down throughout the day and they offer no explanation or estimated time down, even once the issue is found. So you just play the game of trying to not waste your time. All this being said, this place has the BEST rides in the world ( I have been to many parks), but I care more about VALUE for my money. Cedar Pont needs to evaluate whether this is fair to their patrons.
Always a nice trip when I visit here yearly. Was just there for Halloweekends, had a blast. Side note though, the new coaster they have, Steel Vengeance, is absolutely insane. It's entirely new feeling for a coaster. So beware and have fun!
Lines where really , really.... really long so from 1pm-8pm we only was able 2 get on 5 rides, tho they did sanitize really well, downfall of it all they closed at 8pm
I've always liked Cedar Point. I did not appreciate them not opening up for coasters till noon until it Park got crowded. And I really don't like the fast lane idea to where you have to stand in line forever or pay 85 additional dollars just to get on the coaster. Need to rethink that make it more fun for everyone
Best roller-coasters in the world. Very busy on weekends. If you go when it is raining or the weekdays you can ride everything with barely and wait times.
There are 4 great coasters that make cedar point the difference. At best, you can only go on 2 if you plan the access pass perfectly. At worst, you go on none of the top 4 coasters because you need an access pass to go on them. There is no other line other than access pass.
So then you wait 1 hour - 1.5 hours to go on the other 6 real coasters, assuming they are working. Only able to go on a total of 4 coasters in 8 hours.
On this date, Maverick was closed. No fast pass available to purchase at all.
Disappointing experience, should've spent the money for 4 tickets, parking drink & food on something else. Or waited to go non Covid time.
Drove from Ontario, Canada for a day-trip with great friends to Cedar point over the weekend. Sad to say how disappointing this place was - Every other ride had some sort of mechanical break down multiple times during the single day. Some delays were hours, some shorter. The wait times for other rides were subsequently longer, often 2+ hours, which was longer than their "estimated" time frame before the entrance of each ride. The few rides we went on were fine, but unlike other parks, they have some ridiculous rule where you have to rent a locker and cannot bring bags with you like other parks. One of our friend's was pregnant and kindly agreed to carry our bags and not go on the rides, but we were told that she wasn't allowed to even wait with us in line then just exit as we got closer to riding. We deliberately disobeyed those rules as it's ridiculous to keep her waiting 2 hours per ride, missing out on socializing.
This place got 1 star for distributing free chips as we left the park, which were key snacks that kept me awake for our long ride home that night. If you paid for my gas, ticket price, and accommodations, I still would not go back.
Would recommend this place if you enjoy the unpredictability of ride reliability and enjoy being kept on your toes as to which ride is going to malfunction next, and when, and how long. If you like these factors, this place is definitely for you
Do you want to pay full price for less than half an amusement park? Want to have to get an access pass in order to stand in a line? Do you feel the need to wear a mask constantly even when no one is within 40ft of you? Is your ego overly inflated and you feel the need to be belittled by a teenager making minimum wage? Then boy this is the place for you!
This is a park for thrill-seekers and coasters-lovers; this is not a Disney or Universal-type park. Cedar Point invests in creating record-breaking coasters, not frills. The coasters are effected by the weather and some rides will shut down due to high winds. Be prepared to stand in long lines for the most popular rides, even with a fast lane pass you may stand in line for 30-45 minutes. The fast lane pass is worth the money, especially if you are only going to for one day.
Incredible experience. Been dreaming of coming here for 20 years and finally made it. Tons of high quality rides and they continue to add to their list. The Fast Pass Plus was definitely worth it, although that was during mid May so I can't speak for it during busy summer days
One of the best amusement parks in the country! If you like roller coasters this is the park to go to. No question about it. Fast pass isn't always needed either. My only issue is that this last time we kept having rides break down while we were in line and a few rides weren't up for the entire day. We were still able to ride most of them though. Highly recommend going if you have never been.
Honestly, rather disappointed. The park seems to have gone downhill in recent years. The bathrooms aren't clean, trashcans overflow all over the place, the rides all need new paint and the spiders. My gods. The spiders! Webs EVERYPLACE. You would think they would worry about guest safety, but no. Several lines had hundreds of spiderwebs above your head. Overall the park just looks.. worn out and tired. CP should invest in caring about their appearances as much as they care about building rides.
Halloween weekends are fun for all ages! From trick or treating to scary haunted houses, there is something for everyone. Options available for those who don't want scary areas.
Went yesterday had an awesome time. Went today, not as fun. I recommend not going to cedar point on the weekends or when school is out because the lines will be atleast an hour long
HANDS DOWN THE VERY BEST place I've ever been to for Rollercoasters!!! They're so awesome you'll have to wait in line for an hour to 2 hours (belive that!). If you don't want to wait, the front-of-the-line passes are an additional $60 . But the rides are longer, taller, and faster than any I've ever ridden. I can't wait to go again - hopefully in October for their Halloween season!!!!
Lines to long and people with money get online first after buying fast pass. If you cant afford fast pass lines are hour 45 minutes to 2 hours Plus for 1 ride.
Been to Cedar Point several times. For the most part, this place is amazing. My only complaint is that there is very little shade while waiting the hour to several hours to board a ride. If you're going to this park, make sure to bring plenty of sunscreen!
Really enjoyed our summer vacation here! We met up with my bro & sister in law from Michigan (my family live in Pennsylvania) so all of our children/cousins can vacation together (9 children 4 adults)!! We stayed at the cedar point hotel & were all close together! The rooms were nice & clean! We have plans to go back next summer as well! Might even make it a tradition?!
I love cedar point I will say if you go it is highly recommended you get there all inclusive tickets. This will include all day dining, free parking, park admission, photo pix access for all rides that take pictures, a souvenir cup for drinks, and most importantly a fast pass plus wristband. There is a difference in fast pass and fast pass plus. I never go to cedar point without a fast pass plus wristband. It is so worth it. There was a 2 and a half hour wait for steel vengeance and we waited 25 mins. Pay the extra money for fast pass plus you will not regret it. And for people who complain about the fast pass lane to bad People spend good money not to wait in huge long lines. Sorry not sorry.
Cedar Point was a great experience. My first 2 ride recommendations are Steel Vengeance and Millennium force. They are worth the wait. We had some much fun. There is plenty to do for everybody. I recommend spending the whole day there if you can. It is a long day, but we'll worth it. So plenty of sunscreen, and lots of water. It is a must visit if you like roller coasters.
My husband and I spent $220 on fast passes. We were next in line for the top thrill dragster and it broke. 2 other trains were unloaded in front of us, pushing us to 3rd in line. Whatever, not a huge deal. Then when we finally got on, the train didn't make it up the hill. We were unloaded again and this time, they pushed LITERALLY 30 cars through empty before allowing us to get back on. What was supposed to be a 45 minute wait in the fast lane turned into 3 hours and 20 mins.
We went to the desk to see what they could do for us since we spent so much money and had to wait in line anyways. The only solution he could offer was to give up our fast passes for the rest of the day and he would give us a voucher for new ones on a different day (forcing us to spend more money on regular admission). Or he could give us half off coupons for a different day (again, forcing us to spend more money). What a terrible experience. Really contemplating coming back next year.
Cedar Point is a legend in and of itself. I visited once a long time ago as a kid and then decided that it was about time to come back some 20 years later. I am not sure you can find a better collection of roller coasters anywhere in the world. Many of the coasters I remember from long ago were gone, replaced with something newer, taller, faster. But the thrill and adventure of this place remains. I am not sure how anyone can ride all the coasters in one day. Even with careful planning I fell short and will need to make another trip here in the near future. Even in the midst of dealing with a global pandemic, this park figured out how to operate safely. The staff was friendly at every corner. We were even able to find good food, much better than I would ever expect to find at an amusement park. You can spend a small fortune at amusement parks but I was able to do a day here on the cheap without feeling like I was missing out on anything. I would highly recommend their fast pass option if you are going to be there on a busy day.
VISITING INFO It is a great park. The review is kinda mixed. The park is placed in one of the most beautiful places in Ohio. The seagulf and the bugs are nasty. So go early in the season. The newest ride is amazing WORKING HERE Personally working here was not bad. Meet a lot of great people. The housing on the other hand is "basic" at best. The housing is bad but its great that cedar point offers housing.
Really good day - and would have been their motto "Best Day Ever" if we could've gotten on the Steel Vengeance more than once. We waited for 2 hours for one ride on it, but my feet couldn't take standing on concrete for another two hours for another ride. Super new coaster, one of the best. Ate at Chickie & Pete's - the crab fries are a must-have. Dinner at Melt, also delicious. Waddled back out onto the Midway to ride a few more before heading home. 2019 visit: We just don't understand the trouble with Maverick. It's not a new coaster, is it really that undependable that it doesn't open on time and is often down? Also, CP - please train your ride ops to call for single riders. It's hard to watch empty seats go by when you've been standing in line for a very long time.
This place has plenty of thrilling roller coasters. A great place to go for the riding enthusiast. Be sure to wear a good pair of walking shoes, you'll need them to navigate around this park.
I recommend this place to any adrenal junkies. I spent most of my time on the roller coasters. I also recommend cedar point to parents with children, it ll be a great experience
Ive always loved this place... Would give 5 stars but we saved up all year to come and it was the busiest day of the year... So many people, crazy long wait times.... Really disappointed in cedar point for over selling gold passes
Fun place to enjoy when the rides are running, maintenance issues seem to be increasing. Lots of breakdowns on rides, more than usual! They do keep the park clean, but staffing at concessions seemed to be really low though.
I had wanted to go to the "Rollercoaster Capitol of the world" since I first heard of the place at about 15 years old. At the age of 45, I FINALLY GOT THAT CHANCE! I was very disappointed that the Top Fuel Dragster was closed. It appears the only reason that it wasnt running was bc it was "off season" in October. Well, I drove 7 hours to ride that ride - no matter what time of the year it is, if you're open and the sun in shining - no wing blowing - YOU NEED TO OPEN ALL THE ROLLERCOASTERS! That was a huge disappointment after a 30 year wait to get there.
Came all the way from Brazil, to spend a weekend with my friends in Sandusky, excited about the roller coasters, to be able to do a grant total of 2 rides in 8 hours.
The lines are long, and not because of many people, but because of the COVID policies. They clean the whole ride every 10min and when it s working, have many seats with nobody in, making the ride wait time Be longer. Makes no sense in cleaning id they don t enforce social distancing rules strictly in the lines, and have many ppl without masks covering nose and face.
Cedar Point is awesome! There are so many unique and fun coasters to ride on, such as Gatekeeper and Magnum. If you don't want to ride a coaster, though, you can still have tons of fun riding the smaller rides like Scrambler or Matterhorn.
Cedar point has been a family tradition for us.. the only problem I have with cedar point is that there prices have become somewhat ridiculous.. don't get me wrong I love it always have you have to splurge for sure if you want to have the experience but I feel as if they have went a little overboard with dining and bevarages..
I just would like to say the gold pass has ruined Cedar Point. We have platinum passes. With additional food pass and drinks.. we can not even make it to Cedar Point due to the over crowding, roads closed and at capacity. I feel totally ripped off. Not happy and will reconsider purchasing again. I have been platinum pass holder for years.. very disappointing
I love this place. Grew up going every summer with my family and still go. They have different events depending on the year. Only downside is during peak times lines can be 2-3 hours for just one ride. I recommend trying to go on an off day. PACK YOUR LUNCH! food is super expensive in the park and they let you bring in your own food and drinks, especially important if you are trying to save money. Arcade games are overpriced, so I would skip those unless it's raining and you need to keep your kids entertaied because the rides do shut down when it is raining. Some indoor or covered ones will still run. Holloweekends are PACKED. Usually the teenagers and adults come for that. Haunted houses are not really scary, but probably not the best for little children.
Best park in America. Massive rides and the amount of rides keeps the wait times down. I would also say the food is great. Not a whole lot of regular amusement park food but excellent stands all over the park.
Haven't gone yet going Monday was just wondering if a 2 day pass is enough to do whole park. We will probably skip anything too Kurdish since my child is 11 also not doing water park since there is a beach right there.
The best especially for roller coasters. Park is very clean and safe. Make sure you walk to other side of Park along the lake during sunset. Stunning views!
If you love rollercoasters this is the place to be. So many different rides , activities, stores, restaurants and even a beach near it. BUT you can be here al day and still won t be able to do all the rides unless you have the fast lane pass which costs just as much as a regular ticket.
