My husband and son and I just had the most wonderful ribeye dinner. The best. The staff was friendly and our waitress was one of the best we ever had.
This place was great. It s rustic and old school
Inside which gives it a great vibe. Our server was Tyson and honestly, I cannot day enough good things about him. He was sweet, professional, attentive, and knowledgeable. He explained menu items, made recommendations, and checked multiple times to make sure that every thing was up to par. The food was great. The potato skins were delicious, as was the steak and salad. I was happy for the excellent meal but the service made the whole experience. Will definitely go back when I m in town next.
Absolutely terrific restaurant, as it has been for decades in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma! Our waitress, Anna, was superb in every way!
No ranch dressing very disappointing and house dressing g tasted like garlic manaise and blue cheese like straight up manaise. Roll we're not hot and disappointing and potatoes very small as well as I had to wait 20 min for extra sour cream. I have one star because the steak was good but not different from many other steaks and real bread toasted as crackers we're Kool. Was going to try strawberry shortcake but after all this disappointment I decided no. Too pricey for food and service I received. Never going back.
the steak and the homemade rolls were good. waiter was kinda creepy but yeah.
definitely one of the best places in the area. definitely worth going back to. prices are reasonable.
Great steak! I requested medium rare on the rare side, it came out exactly as I ordered. Friendly staff makes this place warm, highly recommended!
Not great. I would never recommend this place to a friend. Very disappointed.
Best steakhouse around! They get their beef locally and always serve it just right. Totally historic place with a super old-school atmosphere. Step into the wild west here
Both my wife and I had the large cut of prime rib. She had the baked potato (loaded) and I had French fries and excellent extra fluffy rolls and plenty of butter. The fresh horse radish sauce accentuated the flavor of the prime rib which was finished to 16 ounces of unbelivable perfection. Highly recommended!
Breakfast with my Dad.. this place is still as good as was 10 years ago..
Great steaks, excellent fast service!
A true Oklahoma city landmark...
the BEST SERVICE BEST STEAK AND GOOD WINE. It was my first time ..I would go at least weekly if I lived closer.10 star RECOMMENDED A MUST IF IN OKLAHOMA CITY.
Such an amazing place. The food, the service, and the atmosphere are terrific. My wife and I eat here every time we visit Oklahoma City. The food is consistently great. The service is always great. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful meal at a historic place.
Fantastic food and the best service we have ever had at any restaurant!
A great, affordable meal with prompt, pleasant service. May have to wait a bit to be seated;but, worth it. An OKC tradition !!!
Crowded at 2 in the afternoon. Steaks were cooked to order and had a good flavor.
I had the filet mignon and it was sooo good. Prices were very reasonable. I've paid more at Longhorn and Outback. I would be a regular if I lived here.
Terrible service food was ok would not recommend. Don't go hungry if you do go took forever to get the food we ordered.
While traveling for work I had the opportunity to visit Cattlemen's. When we first got there, we were told there was about a 30-45 minute wait. I was discouraged, but I really wanted to try it. We were directed to a waiting lounge. It was huge with plenty of tables, chairs, and a small wet bar.
It turns out we only had to wait about 15 minutes, and it seemed to fly by. Once our buzzer went off, we went back downstairs. To be honest, this place seems like a diner inside.. There were some tables, but mostly booths.
We tried the Lamb Fries.. as something unusual that we'd never see available any other place. Not bad, but not great. The Salad was normal.. but let me tell you, the steaks were magnificent. Between the 4 of us, there were 3 sirloins and 1 rib-eye to be had. Everyone said that this was one of the best, if not THE best, steak they ever had.
I can hardly wait to get back to OKC again, just to revisit this place.. my mouth waters just thinking about it.
Great food. Highly recommend for a night out with friends and family.
It was great as always I have been going there for more than 40 years and it is as good today as it was the first time I ate there thank you for being so great.
I'd heard a lot about Cattleman's and finally got my family to go with me. I decided to go with the t-bone just so I could have leftovers and because I love t-bones! The meal started with a salad which I would recommend asking for the dressing on the side if you don't like your salad drowning in it (plus you can dip other foods in the dressing afterwards). The t-bone came out a perfect medium rare and was so delicious. They use a very simple rub before grilling it yet it was extremely flavorful and one of the best steaks I've ever had! I also feel the need to compliment the side of veggies which were surprisingly tasty, soft, and more flavorful than I expected! There's a diner side which is less formal and the actual restaurant side where you should dress a bit more formally (though jeans and a cowboy hat definitely fit the dress code here).
Cattlemen's is an absolute classic steakhouse and an essential part of Oklahoma City. To begin, it's important to know the history of the Oklahoma City stockyards and how Cattlemen's was at the center of Oklahoma's cattle and meatpacking business. It has always been the place where ranchers could celebrate in a Friday night and where the packing plant foremen could breakfast early on a Saturday morning. The area has changed along with the industry. The steak continues to be an excellent value, and a prime cut is often on special most evenings. Every steak order comes with a salad (with house dressing), a potato, rolls, and toast. There are other items on the menu including pot roast, lamb fries, and freshly made desserts. The wine list is solid, if tame, and extremely affordable. Everything about this restaurant is old school, and a visit to OKC really isn't complete without a visit here and to the stockyards.
Great steak, service was brilliant and staff were cool to deal with. Only complaint, steak was a tad underdone.
This really does have amazing steak. Get there early, or you could starve waiting for your table.
Not worth the price or hype. Service was great though.
Best steak I ve ever had!!! My favorite restaurant in Oklahoma. They also brew some of the best beer. Also, their homemade house dressing is to die for. Sometimes the wait is long, but it s so worth it. This place is incredible. Service is outstanding. Friendly staff.
Great food for great price! I had the Chicken Fried steak.
Heard good things and was really looking forward to a great anniversary dinner. However, with as busy as they were, you would think the owner could afford to update the AC, replace the smelly carpet, and deal with the fly infestation. Judging by the gray meat I saw on plates as we were lead to our cramped table, the food had little to no chance of overcoming the negative impression we were given from the start of our wait. It should be called Cattle-Car s not Cattleman s. Furthermore, when a restaurant deletes it s tag from Facebook reviews it doesn t like, it makes their 4.7 star rating worthless.
Great food !!!! First the service was great. The steak was delicious so was the mash potatoes and gravy definitely recommend !
Best steak I've had in a long, long time! In house ranch needs seasoning... Pepper helped a lot... And why so much?!? That said, still 5 stars because, frankly, nobody goes to a steak house for a dumb salad anyway. Those who do shouldn't be allowed in. My 2 cents.
You go there for the great steaks. The sides are mediocre, the atmosphere diner-like, the drinks average, and they don't take reservations.
The worst breakfast ever. You stand in a long l line for breakfast, there would be nothing hardly left when you finally get to the buffet, and there was nothing to really choose from. This was the first time we took our children there for breakfast. Never could find the waitress and when we did ,we get time, I'm sorry ,that's not my section . That's not what we paid for.
Cattlemen's got rave reviews, especially by locals so when in Oklahoma City, and I wanted steak, I gave it a try. First, the real star of Cattleman's was the service - my waitress/server was EXCELLENT, kind, knowledgable and very attentive. My steak was quite good, very tender but a little fatty. The fatty was probably inheritant to ribeye so I will start ordering strip or porterhouse. Cattleman's loses a star (nearly two) on appearances (see pic). I was not in the main dining hall but where the counter and stools were. This room said dark....dank....diner. It could have been a converted diner from the look. I didn't see dirt, but the dark off color tiled floored was ill suited for the place. Such great food and professional staff...followed by dark dank diner at atmosphere...a shame. Upgrades to at least that half of the restaurant would make a world of difference. To finish strong, the coconut cream pie was excellent. My advice - go, BUT ask to be seated to the LEFT.
Great place, old location but good service and superior steaks plan to wait to be seated if going during lunch and dinner hours. Average steak plate is well over $20
Fantastic service, the food is always delicious, the nostalgic setting history just add to it. And don't forget the pie!!
Good customer service, great food, and nice place...
Great country atmosphere(stockyard city). Best steak in Oklahoma. Make sure you try their house salad dressing!
While there was definitely a long wait to get a table for 5, once we were seated, everything was ridiculously quick and delicious!! Everything was absolutely amazing and worth the wait.
Ive eaten here many times the food is very good , check out the in side i think its very nice
Stopped by on business trip and it didn't disappoint. Ribeye was juicy and full of flavor. Highly recommended if looking for place nearby downtown.
Waited a hour and a half for service. They kept saying it will be a 1/2 hour more...then 1/2 hour more. They weren't even concerned. The food wasnt that good. It was a huge disappointment after hearing it was so good. The decor was from the 60's and dirty. The place was a local hangout ...why ...still a mystery.
The Presidential T-bone quality has gone down and the price up. Mac n Cheese is still phenomenal. Friendly and considerate service.
Wonderful food and service! Made my birthday great!.
Oh my goodness! I loved it! I had the T-bone steak , it was wonderful! I can't wait to go back! Wish I didn't live so fat!!!
This place never fails to please. Lamb fries are a must-have , the streaks are always perfectly cooked and the liquor menu is great.
Pretty good food but subpar service. Overall average.
Make sure yo spell it right or you will be at the Hilton on Google maps, good food though
I was on a road trip back in 2005 or 2006. Since I'd read about Cattlemen's Steakhouse in Roadfood, we went there for dinner. I dream about their steak, I haven't had a comparable steak since. We're driving to CA from MN, and I'm trying to find a way to justify going via Oklahoma City so we can stop at Cattlemen's for dinner.
Best steakhouse in Oklahoma!! If your steak isn't up to what you expect here, just tell them, they have no quams about fixing it. There shouldn't be any bad reviews here. Been coming here for over 40 years and you can't beat it!!!
We arrived at shift change. Service was a little slow, but tolerable. Then Angelina got in stride and service was top notch. Food was top shelf. Everything was perfect. Serving portions were plentiful.
Absolutely Great Our Serve was a man that should be retired but he was flat awesome Thank You
Food was great but the service was EXCELLENT. This was our first time here and we will be back again.
Loved the rustic look of the place. The steak was fine but their salads were pretty good and had a good dressing.
It was the 2nd time I've been there. It was wonderful, no wait, awesome waitress and delicious food. I'll be back soon
I ate here with some family when I was in okc on a business trip. 4 steaks came to the table, and all 4 steaks were sent back to the kitchen. The steaks were also very under-sized for what I paid for which is very frustrating. The steaks were about 20% smaller than what you paid for, which is a big red-flag to me. Used to be a nice place, but I am not going to be back anytime soon.
Good breakfast, good service, great people & great atmosphere will be taking my wife & friends to enjoy Cattlemen's.
Steaks baked potatoes cold beer calf fries onion rings dinner rolls and pie ....can't go through the whole menu but what am I saying best place to go to have a nice dinner they also have breakfast on the weekends** yummy
Puny steaks with crappy seasoning for top dollar! The salad was miniature with very bland dressing. Great place to throw away some money and leave disappointed!
Wonderful atmosphere with a very relaxing waiting area/bar. The steaks were quite delicious, sides were tasty, and the pumpkin pie was good as well.
I've gone there occasionally for the past 50 years. The steaks are always good. Service is usually a little slow during busiest times. Today service was exceptionally fast and steak same good quality as always
Service was good and fast but food was overpriced for the quality.
First steakhouse to cook my streak correctly in years. Excellent service, good blackberry cobbler, and the house dressing is as addictive as heroin.
Cattlemen's has the most consistent steaks and food around, and I go there three or four times a year.. It was my late husband's favorite place to eat. The service is absolutely the greatest and the place is overall friendly. Gloria
My husband votes it best steak in the state. Service was great, food was fantastic. We started out with onion rings as an appetizer, it was probably enough for 4-5 people vs. the 2 that were eating I had the petite sirloin and the sauteed mushrooms, yummy ! Almost makes me sad we waited so long to eat here.
We meet dear friends there and always get the luncheon steak special.Delicious steak, salad rolls! Fun atmosphere great staff!
For having such amazing reviews I'm really disappointed I'm not even one to complain normally but I ordered a medium rare steak and soon as I got it I sent it back because it was still cold in the center and very much rare I get it back and it looked like they just sit it in the back under a heat lamp and then sent it back out all rubbery and unchewable worse steak experience I've ever had
Great steak place. Reasonable prices, high quality meat. For my next visit, I'll bring people who don't eat steaks medium/medium well...
The best steak I've ever had, hands down. And Cattleman's has been serving them up for over 100 years. Don't miss it!
Service was to notch, the food was everything and more. What we paid for the dinner was even better..been a long time i have had all 3 together.
Food was wonderful. Our waitress was not very good. Ruined our experience today. We had sweet tea and the waitress refilled us with unsweet tea and after sending it bk we still got unsweet again. Once she brought our food it took her a long time to get our butter for the baked potaoes and steak sauce. She kept forgetting what we asked for. Sprite was watered down. The waitress also took our uneaten salad I was going to take home.
What a staple, steaks are awesome. Old school and great!
My steak was good quality. I ordered medium rare and it came medium. I sent it back and it came back very rare. The third time was the charm and it came back correct. The waiter was polite and they took it off the bill. I respect that. The restaurant was very warm. They could turn up the air conditioning to make it more comfortable. The house dressing tasted like straight mayo. I didn't eat it. This place could be much better if they took more interest in the details.
We had about an hour wait. Food came quick and was awesome!!! Our waiter Mike was great!! Well worth the wait. Was a busy Saturday night.
First time there. It was great. Service and the food was awsome.
