Louis Leo Review of Cattlemens Steakhouse

Cattlemen's got rave reviews, especially by locals so when in Oklahoma City, and I wanted steak, I gave it a try. First, the real star of Cattleman's was the service - my waitress/server was EXCELLENT, kind, knowledgable and very attentive. My steak was quite good, very tender but a little fatty. The fatty was probably inheritant to ribeye so I will start ordering strip or porterhouse. Cattleman's loses a star (nearly two) on appearances (see pic). I was not in the main dining hall but where the counter and stools were. This room said dark....dank....diner. It could have been a converted diner from the look. I didn't see dirt, but the dark off color tiled floored was ill suited for the place. Such great food and professional staff...followed by dark dank diner at atmosphere...a shame. Upgrades to at least that half of the restaurant would make a world of difference. To finish strong, the coconut cream pie was excellent. My advice - go, BUT ask to be seated to the LEFT.
