Best restaurant steak I've had. Steak was more medium well than medium, wife's steak was supposed to be medium well but was more well done because there was no pink at all. The taste and juiciness made up for both steaks though. House brew was really good, mashed potatoes were nasty. Tasted like chemicals, could be the water they used, but there was a taste of fake mac and cheese. Not sure what the taste was but it was gross. Salad was good, but the staff was terrible on the diner side. They were all talking, huddled together gossiping about customers and their experiences there. Worth the steak, but everything else could be much better. Probably better to get it to go and get the baked potatoes. Again, really really good steak though.

I just ate there my steak was at first rare and I had ordered med well. They took it back revoked it to well well well done. Terrible. It was a ribeye 20.00 steal. And the fries were cold.

The food was good. I was seated by the restrooms. The seemed to want us to hurry. She started taking dishes and reached across me didn't say excuse me or can you hand me that. For a birthday lunch not really really good!

Great prime steak and our waiter, Billy-Jack, was fantastic! He was there to meet our every need. FIX THE AIR CONDITIONER! It is ridiculous to come to an iconic restaurant, only to SWEAT in your food! Whoever owns this place needs to fix this problem.

Went with the presidential t-bone...fantastic choice. Cooked perfectly, filling, reasonable prices for what you get. Awesome feel to the place, - you can feel the tradition. Also, their house salad dressing and homemade croutons are perfecto! Definitely give it a try if you have never been!

We had 9 people and 3 of our steaks out of 9 had to be sent back since they were overcooked. No visit from management and no apologies. So we had to wait longer since we (6) already had ours and the remaining 3 got theirs much later .

The service was great! The food was delicious! Lamb fries were a nice surprise, definitely recommend. And the dreams were fantastic! The only downside was there didn't seem to be any social distancing. All the tables on the bar side were full. There was some separation at the bar. I assume the other side of the restaurant was full. Will rethink staying for dinner next time untill some changes are made. Thank you Cattleman's!!

Excellent food and service. The steaks were cooked to perfection and tasted great. The homemade Apple Pie just topped it off. Our waiter was on top of everything. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

This place is awesome. I've always stuck with a rule that if you're in a steakhouse with no windows, chances are it's gonna be great!

Steaks are always cooked the way I order them. Never had to send anything back. The sides and bread are also delicious. Only complaint is the house dressing, no ranch. I'm a Midwesterner who only likes regular ranch on my salad! But that's something I overlook for a good steak!

Expect a decent wait time but you're waiting for a reason!

This is one of those places you need to experience properly. Show up as early as you can and you ll witness all the real cowboys stroll in before they go to their work in the stockyards, etc. When I came it was filled with people in huge cowboy hats who all seemed to know each other, and were super jovial. The interior looks like I walked into a 1960 s or even older movie set; everything is extremely old. I got a steak and shiner for breakfast and it was absolutely great, but the experience of going here tops the food even

We have stopped to eat here on separate trips passing through Oklahoma City. Located in the Stockyard District, this has been a great place to eat. Service has been excellent each time. Even with the current Covid-19 requirements seating and service were efficient and friendly.

I love the character of this restaurant. So easy going, friendly staff and food that is consistently good whether it was 20 years ago or today when you last visited. I went to dinner with my mom and my Aunt and well safe to say Cattlemens didn't disappoint!! Thank you David Eagen for upholding an Oklahoma tradition.

Should have done this Sooner (no pun intended) my wife and I are from Kansas City and in town the night before the OU vs Army game and on a recommendation from my cousin we decided to visit here.

I cannot say enough good about this place, it is what a steakhouse should be and that is: Great aged steak, great entrees and I promise if you've never been here before, bring your appetite because you will need it...

The ambiance is simple, basic and western, if you're looking for someone with a sommelier ability (that's a wine steward) and froo froo you might want to check out another location, if like I said above you want a great steak that doesn't need steak sauce with a friendly wait staff and have no problem conversing with folks while waiting for a seat and you will wait (but its well worth it) then this is the place for you.

Only complaint: The iced Tea could stand to be ALOT better, its weak, tea is meant to be dark.....but even so its not enough for me to take away a 5th star.

If you're ownership reading this I am looking forward to coming there again when we come through OKC on Oct. 8th.

So I was in OKC for a day and decided to stop here for dinner and my God, it was one helluva experience! It's not fancy or anything just a great warm, and welcome environment. The staff was very pleasant and very efficient. You know you are getting a great steak when they dont ask if you want steak sauce. My meal consisted of a shrimp cocktail, the T-bone steak, baked potato, salad, and a order of mac & cheese. My bill came to right at 55.00 but it was well worth it. When I go back to OKC I will definitely be stopping in again :)

The steak tasted great but it was barely warm when I got it. Mushrooms were the worst thing mushrooms I've ever had at a restaurant. The mixed vegetables were pretty good. My waiter was great though. I probably wouldn't eat there a second time.

My visit to Cattleman's today was
The best steak I have had since my last visit to Cattleman's.
The waiter did a great job, keeping our glasses full and the bread plate full. I'd recommend Cattleman's to the President!

A short cab ride away from the downtown convention center, Cattlemen's offers a taste of bygone days of the classic steakhouse in a cow town's stockyard area. Prices were reasonable for the quality cuts. A few ham, fish and chicken selections were available for those who didn't want cow. No reservations are accepted, so the wait could be long (just about an hour for us - arrived 7PM on a Friday night). An upstairs event room with a small bar served as a 'waiting area'.

Everyone's steaks were perfect. Delicious! It's a four out five instead of five because of the wait. We were told 35 to 45 but it was well over an hour. Food and service were the best.

I visited Cattlemen s Restaurant again today for the first time in a few years.
It was just as good as ever! I love both the house salad dressing and your Thousand Island dressing. Salad dressings here are better than anywhere else. The steak was cooked to perfection and tasted so good.
As I was eating I began to think about when I started coming to the restaurant and discovered that it has been 50 years! It has always been one of my favorite places to eat. The purpose of this review is to say a big THANK YOU for not changing anything. It was a great pleasure to find all was as it has always been!

Very non-descript on the outside, and the inside for that matter! No fancy steak place just lots of seating and friendly service.

Parking can be a bit tricky if you are from out of town or new so drive carefully around to find a spot or go around the block to park in their back parking lot.

We came on a Sunday night at 6pm. Just the two of us so we were able to get in right away. I heard groups were waiting between 35-45 minutes.

Like I said, nothing fancy so we were seated in a booth which had another table pretty near. However we could still have a private conversation and the table party didn't interfere with our dining experience.

Prices I believe are typical for a steak place and since I knew I would be getting a filet mignon I didn't even bother to look at the rest of the menu, but it seemed extensive.

The salad was very plain with just lettuce and one tiny tomato. I should have asked for the dressing on the side because it was a bit much for the size of salad.

My filet came perfectly cooked (medium rare). I've never had bacon wrapped steak so I'm not sure if this is typical but the bacon was soggy (not sure if that's the correct description but the bacon wasn't firm). The baked potato was nicely baked with absolutely nothing on it. They gave me butter and sour cream and I seasoned it with salt and pepper.

The rolls with dinner were large, soft and delicious! I only ate half because of the rest of the meal but I could have easily eaten more of them.

When we ordered our meal my husband told the server he was a diabetic and requested options instead of potatoes (he got veggies which he said were very good). I tell you this because at the end of the meal she was courteous enough not to ask us about dessert!

Overall just a few slight negatives but the food was very delicious and friendly service

I've been coming here for a long time, food is always great and service is good also. It can be a long wait sometimes to get a table, so that tells you how popular it is. If you like steaks, you can't go wrong here.

We ate at Cattlemens when we were passing through back in 1997 and it was some of the best steak I'd ever eaten. Fast forward to 2016 and we wanted to eat there again while we were passing through. This time though we had our dog with us and we didn't want to leave her in the hotel room while we ate there. We ordered take out and found that it was still fantastic. The steaks were so tender we could easily cut them with our plastic cutlery. No seasoning needed. The lamb fries were to die for and the coconut cream pie was a fluffy delight. I wish I could eat their steaks more often.

You want a GREAT steak? Definitely eat at Cattlemen's. The stakes are beyond good and the blackberry cobbler with ice cream is a must have. Great service too. Worth the drive. An institution that lives up to the hype.

Literally best steak I've had worth every penny for
Sucks I had to send my first steak back because it was WellDone and not Medium Rare
And when I got my corrected Steak my baked potato was missing and had to get that as well ( I don't blame the server, I blame the kitchen )

Tonight was my first time eating at Cattlemen's and it was so good!! I have Celiac and was a little discouraged with their menu for allergies, but our waitress Debbie was AMAZING! She was very knowledgeable about Celiac, asked the severity of my reactions to gluten and gave her recommendation and she was correct on everything. It made it a great experience knowing that not only her, but the cook were very aware about allergies and comfort!! Will definitely return!!

The place had a line out the door and I realized that this was a local favorite (I'm traveling on business).

The steak came out a little undercooked and I sent it back when it came out a little overcooked. Cheap dishes and silverware disappointed me. The waitress recommended the coconut cream pie, which sucked. Big expectations but sort of a let down. Once the big bill came it was more of a letdown.

We ordered medium well steaks. We received rare. Our drinks never got refilled and a dead bug from the ceiling fell on my fiends naked potato. No one seemed to care. It was an expensive meal, but absolutely terrible service and a bad experience

This is not a place for a great meal but a place to say you've been. There waiting area upstairs is a nice touch but you can tell the meals are quick prepared and for mass production for the high turnover. Not only was the presentation such but the quality was just bland. Recommend if you want to say you've gone to this iconic restaurant but not if you're looking for a good steak dinner

Love this steakhouse! I have been visiting this restaurant as long as I can remember and it never disappoints. Steak is wonderful. Lamb fries are great. The house dressing is fabulous. We always have great service also. Must try in OKC!

The rolls were the best part! House salad dressing was interesting and good! Got the small filet (6 oz), and while it tasted good and had good texture, it didn't seem like anything special compared to lower cost chains. Baked potato with cheese was on point! Really liked the feel of the restaurant, very unique feeling. Overall, everything was good, just not enough to justify the slightly higher cost over other chains to go very often.
