Had a pretty good time on my cruise. The unlimited...

Had a pretty good time on my cruise. The unlimited open bar worked out great. I have five complaints. First, that I upgraded from the inside rooms to a window room for an extra fee just because the pictures displayed the indoor rooms and two small beds and the window rooms as one queen size bed. When we slept on the bed the first night, I soon found out it was also just two small beds put together and every night it split in the middle and I would wake up 3-4 times a night to push the beds back together to attempt to get it more comfortable. My second complaint was that the second day on the ship, I got a note on my door that I owed a $108 fee or something around that for a service fee on the ship. The fee is completely fine, although I think it would be much more convenient for guests if it was charged in the beginning of the cruise rather than getting my ship card turned off because I immediately had a negative balance. Third, I didn't like how everything on the ship had to be charged through your ship card, my girlfriend got really sea sick the second night when the water was a little rough and I wasn't able to buy her any medicine because my ship card had a negative balance from the service fee, so I had to wait in line to put money onto my card and then run back up the stairs to get her dramamine for her sea sickness from the store an hour later while she was sick throwing up in the room. Fourth, I didn't like how the photographers take all these great pictures of us, which then get printed out and advertised on the wall and are sold for what I think is a rediculous $20.00 each. The part that upset me is that they were already all printed out and the money was spent on them to just be thrown away after the cruise. I would have loved to take home the 6 pictures I seen of us, but didn't want to spend $120.00 on them. I recommend to the cruise line that they offer the photos for a much smaller fee, especially being that the money is already spent on them and they're all printed out already. At $5-10 each I would have easily bought all of them and wanted more. Finally, this didn't bother me personally, but the ferry boats that take and return you from Great Stirrup Cay can be extremely rough to board for anybody physically impaired or for senior citizens. The waves were tossing the 10ft ramp to board/deboard 2-6ft up and down which could very easily injure somebody not strong on their feet. Other than that, don't let me make it sound like it was a miserable time, because it wasn't, everything else was fantastic. Best customer service I've ever received on a cruise. The private island was fantastic. Every event we attended was fantastic and went well above my expectations. The price I got the cruise for was more than fair. All in all, it was my best cruise ever and I would love to come back if I find a good deal again one day. I highly recommend as somebody about to go on this cruise line though to heed my advice. If you're wanting a bigger bed, don't upgrade to a window room for it, it's the same two beds as the inside room. Immediately put $200 onto your ship card, you will easily spend it and your trip will be much more convenient. Take lots of your own pictures unless you're willing to shell out over a hundred bucks on their photos.

We just got back on the NCL Escape from a 7 day cruise to Bermuda. We have cruised numerous times on NCL and we love leaving out of NYC. And although the ships get bigger (over 5000 people on the Escape) the ship was well organized and had all the latest modern conveniences of a ship only 2 years old. Variety of things to do for everyone. Specialty restaurants are worth the nominal fees.

Very enjoyable cruise, although not enough quiet places to settle in and read. Microphones were set too loud. Tracking of customers was norwellian. Booking of restaurants and venues sold out so quickly....Main dining rooms were small and service in the main dining rooms was poor. Don't get me wrong alot to like as well, enjoyed the cruise. Overall staff was attentive and provided excellent service.

Horrible company. We paid for a cruise to Cuba and paid the visa fee. Three days before the trip they inform us that we won't be able to get off the ship in Cuba because my mom was born in Cuba and needs a different visa which they did not inform us of. Why didn't they tell us the moment we booked the cruise? We are trying to get a refund now and they are giving us the run around.

3 1/2 stars: First of all the Escape is a fabulous and enormous Ship that is a pleasure to experience. However we were considered a "Sick Ship" due to the previous cruise becoming I'll. This required extra steps and extra staff for cleaning and food service. It was a bit unorganized from the start. The buffet is incredible but guest were not allowed to serve themselves and the staff seemed over worked and unfriendly. The elevators were always over crowded and trying to get on and off at ports was a push and shoving event. However it was a great experience visiting far away lands that I will.never forget.

This was my second cruise, my first with norwegian. It will be my last. First off they don't have rooms with 2 beds, thus me and my girlfrend were stuck sleeping on separate bunk beds while our other friends had the bed. The crew isn't all that nice or friendly.
The 3 "free" dining rooms had the same menu which is useless, they should be different to offer variety. You need to pay for just about everything on the boat. Bowling, arcade, games shows, all other dining rooms, room service has an 8$ service charge!, etc.
They often had entertainment in the atrium which is small, crowded, poorly placed and designed. Which ment limited seating and viewing areas. When I asked them to bring additional chairs they said no because it was muster station in the event of an emergency. I said they should then do the shows in the nearly always empty theater which has a full bar and state of the art lighting and sound and can fit 10x the people the atrium could. I was just a smurk and shrugged off.
On the positive is they made strong drinks, a negative if you aren't used to it.

All In all I was disappointed in my cruise with norwegian and will be sticking to my first cruise company carnival or try others.

Recently cruised on the Norwegian Sky. Overall it was a pleasant experience. It was my first weekend cruise...and my last weekend cruise. I've cruised twice before. Each time was a 5 day cruise. Seems to me the whole weekend experience is too rushed and more focused on partying...which is fine for many, but I cruise for the relaxation and the sightseeing. I also enjoyed being catered to and participating in onboard activities. The onboard staff seemed to be less vested in the catering aspect. For instance...my roomate and I purchased a water package consisting of 18-1 liter bottles of water. She actually expected us to carry the bottles to our cabin. She could barely lift the bottles and it would have been awkward for my cabin mate and I to carry it together. We had to almost insist that the water be delivered. Eventually she agreed to arrange delivery. She was never rude...just nonchalant with a smile. This would never have happened on the other, longer cruises. The onboard staff were very eager to accommodate the guests, and in my traveling party, they were tipped above the mandatory tips. No more weekend cruises for me.

To be honest, my first and last cruise. They did not stop at Grand Cayman islands, the one place we were really looking forward to. This was a huge disappointment to us.

I would have loved to have spent some time at the casino, but it smells so horribly of cigarettes, that you cannot even stand to sit for 15mins. I spent 20mins, and when I got back to the room, I had to shower and put my clothes on the balcony as the entire sleeping cabin smelled like an ashtray. Yes it's really that bad, no exaggeration.

Rooms were nice, bed was comfortable, but the pillows are TERRIBLE. my first morning waking up, my neck was destroyed, and it got worse from there. I ended up having to sleep on the bench in the room, on a make shift pillow from clothes and towels. It got so bad by the 4th day that my back spasmed. I ended up at the on board hospital, and got stuck with a $500usd bill. Thanks for that Norwegian.

You have to swipe your Norweigan pass card for literally everything you do. That includes getting a soda water! Guys come on, really? For soda water?

Here are the positives:
Staff is incredible. Friend, well trained, always happy. Absolutely no complaints there.

Food is unreal. You can skip all the restaurants the entire week, and just eat at the buffet. Fantastic variety, some Indian dishes, Asian, and even a great selection for vegans.

We had a great first cruise experience, but were very disappointed to not be able to visit Great Stirrup Cay due to rough seas as we only had two ports of call. Seems there would be a backup plan other than to shuttle guests via tenders, as this apparently happens often. The day at sea instead was fun and staff did a great job entertaining and taking care of the guests. The service, from check in to disembarking, was impeccable and every crew member was extremely friendly. Would definitely recommend Norwegian, and look forward to booking our next adventure!

Excellent cruise option. Friendly service and variety of meals on the cruise ships. Although they should use more languages to give announcements during travel and not just focus on the English language, there is a variety of nationalities traveling. Otherwise the boats are very well equipped and with many facilities.

Cruised on the cruise ship Jade which was just refurbished. Rooms were small and we had a baloney overlooking the ocean. Shows on board were very good along with excellent food options on board. We had two days of rough seas and this ship being older doesn't have stabilizers so tossing lots.

Fast, organized but why a escalator with everyone's luggage???? Seems like a better option should have been used. Many people struggling and caused a delay. People with multiple bags had to struggle. Such a large terminal should have a better option.

An unexplainably amazing cruise line. The staff is beyond helpful, activities both onboard and at ports are vast and amazing experiences. The ride is smooth with very little to no rocking of the ship. I can't say enough about them. Definitely making this an annual thing.
