Kinsale Golf and Fitness Club Reviews

Had a great time at Kinsale Golf and Fitness this past weekend. The course is in great shape, the staff was extremely friendly and the clubhouse is amazing! I would highly recommend Kinsale Golf and Fitness.

I have been a member of Kinsale for four years and I would strongly discourage families with children from joining. On two separate occasions during the summer of 2013, the Powell police were called to the Kinsale pool on a crowded family weekend to break up fights between golf members. On another occasion, men became verbally abusive to one another shouting obscenities across the pool while children looked on. Management said all the right things in response to the pool incidents but did not follow through.

The President of Marquee Group, is unresponsive to complaints and concerns of the existing membership. He has little interest in working toward increasing the satisfaction and service for the existing members. The group of members on the Founders Board are little more than hand picked individuals with no real voice for betterment and change.

There is no consistency in the application of club policies and the rules. Although the club has an unaccompanied child policy, it is rarely enforced. There are unattended children in the workout areas, in the locker room lounges, and golf cart staging area. It's just a matter of time before a child is seriously injured. The lack of enforcement of basic club policies designed for both the enjoyment of all members and the safety of children is unacceptable.

Proactive and positive management could really help this club shine. It is unfortunate that Kinsale has fallen so much, as it used to be a wonderful family club. This is not a respectable environment for families and children. Ask about member satisfaction and retention, look at the Powell Police reports and then look elsewhere.

I played in the Member/Guest golf tournament last year and the course was fantastic. The golf shop employees were as kind as could be and catered to all players with a smile on their face. The food was very good at the dinner Saturday evening and the members made all the guests feel welcome.

My favorite part was watching all of the young families at the pool enjoying beautiful summer days with their children. This club is perfect for a young family that likes to golf and meet other people in their same position in life.

I'm returning to play in this years event and looking forward to it very much.

Great place! My only regret is that we didn t join sooner! The Kids Club is amazing.

Been a member for many years. We love the club! Nothing but good things to say. Family friendly, great staff, great restaurant, great pool, etc.. Not one complaint!

I played 18 last Saturday and had an excellent time. The course was in great condition and the staff was accommodating and helpful. Our group had time to play and it felt like we had the golf course to ourselves. I didn't hang around the clubhouse but from what I could see, the pool seemed fun and the restaurant/bar overlooking the 18th green looked inviting.

Played an Amature tour at the course yesterday. Course was beautiful, ALL staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. The facilities looked in excellent condition, from the pool to the club house. I could not have had a better first time experience. Just wish I was a member.

Great course, great people. One of the best U.S. Kids Tournament I'd gone to.

Great food, great drinks, great golf and most importantly an OUTSTANDING staff.

Played my first round of 18 and would give the experience a thumbs up!
Pros: A beautiful course! (Particularly the front 9) Challenging throughout, well kept with true greens and nice fairways. The staff was excellent and friendly and the overall look and feel was that of a nice family oriented country club.
Cons: It's a family oriented country club. The pool which looks like a blast. Is right near the clubhouse and within earshot of the 18th green. Also the back nine is surrounded by homes on all 4 sides. so there isn't much room for slices and hooks off the tee lest you want to pay for some damage to a home. Also there are a lot of kids in the neighborhood which can be distracting.
Overall a lot of fun and I will be back!

I love working out at Kinsale. The benefits are amazing. The swimming pools are very clean and nice.Enjoyable for the whole family.

When members move or become too elderly to use the facilities, they are not refunded their joining fees as promised. In my case, almost $5, 000 will be refunded in 90 years according to Kinsale personnel who stated there are 454 people on the golf resignation list and only approximately 20 of those get their money back every year. This is indicative of other issues this club has in regard to honesty and Consumer Care. Members are wonderful people, but this business model is only good for the owners and not for the consumers who joined in good faith before the club opened.

What a great morning for tennis. A Sunday tradition. Always so nice. Love Kinsale tennis and their members.

Absolute disgrace of a country club, laundry list of issues. Honestly this place is a 12x more expensive LA Fitness. It only offers an overpriced golf course and a sub par grille. Dont expect friendly service from the cript keeper manager or the manager that looks like a bleached jelly bean

Joined as a social member in 2013, became a full golf member in 2017. Kinsale is an all around awesome club! Starting with it s super friendly staff (which will call you by your first name) and always exceed your expectations. The Grille has a cozy traditional feel with an amazing outdoor covered heated patio overlooking the 18th green and with amazing sunset views. The gym (which I personally use on a daily basis) is state of the art with current and relevant equipment for all your workout needs, ample room and never feels overcrowded. They also have tons of classes that you can join.
The pro shop is always packed with goodies, prices are very reasonable and the staff very knowledgeable and amazing!!
The pool facility is fun for the whole family, cabanas were added recently and when there you ll feel you re in a resort vacation somewhere far far away...
The course is prestinly kept, there are a few tough greens and some water in play on 8 of the 18 holes.
Definitely a players club.
The boys get a big perk in the locker room with its own private pub while the girls enjoy the ladies spa..
Nothing but good things to say about Kindale, love this place.

Our family joined Kinsale with a social membership upon moving to Powell in 2013. We were very happy with our membership at that time and our family felt like it was a home away from home.

Since then, the club has become overcrowded, and seems to be taking a political slant. Fox news plays on all TVs as a default throughout the club. During the pandemic, they posted a large sign on the front lawn about liberty.

it really just made our family feel uncomfortable. We'll be giving up our memembership after the summer. Just sad to see the shift.
