I dropped my money why I was playing at a machine and the security officer view the camera and they said they saw her pick up something by my chair I dropped $400 bill they told me that they was going to get back with me haven't got back with me yet

The food at Chop House was excellent prepared The way I like it.

I love this casino. I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights and my room was very clean and nice. I play different slots and I just enjoy coming.

We visited here for New Year's Eve. I booked the room 5 days before arrival. I reserved a king size bed smoking room. When we arrived we got our key cards. Once we entered the room it was double beds. The offer was horrific. I called down to customer service to complain not only for us having double beds but the oder as well. I was told there was no other rooms available. I asked for air freshener and the customer service rep laughed a little and said " does it smell like weed", I said it smells like some of everything. Still nothing g was done. I asked if we could get a discount, the reply was "no". I am very unsatisfied. For $179 a night the service should have been much better along with clean and oder free rooms. I deserve some type of refund or something because that was ridiculous. The casino was fine.

The rooms are over priced, especially for Truck Drivers, two towels in a room that sleeps at least two people, when everyone knows a woman uses two towels to shower, No fridge or microwave in the room, have stayed in cheaper motels that had fridge and microwave, the choice of coffee in the rooms is nasty, will go back for the casino, but won't stay in the over priced motel again, very disappointed

Now about the way over priced Buffet,
Where was the shrimp?!!! Two people being charged 70 plus dollars for the buffet and one doesn't even eat crab legs is a bit much, the crab legs cooked with the crawfish and clams were NASTY!!!! The crab legs on the far end were cold, definitely won't be eating there again, not for that price

Had fun playing video poker I would love to see free beer like Vegas but still fun

Its a very impressive place! I even won a few dollars on the slots. Staff was friendly & helpful. It could use some attention in the cleaning depmnt tho. USE THE HAND SANITIZER REGULARY!

The buffet has a variety of wonderful food! The crabs legs are hit and miss. Definitely worth the money!

A group of 14 of us drove 3 hours to this hotel. We all had confirmation numbers for rooms we booked ahead of time. Upon arriving, we were told that we get whatever room they give us, that our reservations are not for a specific room, but just a room. We had booked four NON SMOKING rooms and were given smelly smoking rooms. My sister has asthma and allergies to smoke. Three couples had to sleep with windows wide open and heaters running due to the smell of their rooms. The weekend manager said it is "first come first serve" at their hotel. We asked what good it does to make reservations then? He said it just reserves a room, it doesn't guarantee that you will get the kind of room you requested. Another couple reserved a King size non-smoking and was given a double bed set up, smoking room. We did not have the option to leave as two couples had booked through expedia and the hotel would not refund their money. We will never go back to this hotel again.

Was not offered water or anything to drink the 4 hours I was there.

Great prices on beer and amazing video poker! Definitely going again.

Decent Casino need more $5 tables to accommodate the crowds

Rooms are small and decor is dark but the staff is great and attentive. No microwave on floor, you have to go to first floor. I have no real complaints

Alot of deadbeats sitting on slot machines not playing waiting for their names to be drawn. Security will do nothing. Very unprofessional. They will bother you, ask for money and security will do nothing. Ameristar is just as bad. When construction is finished, I will travel the extra mile to Four Winds Casino. They take p

This rating is for the customer service in the casino. I waited 50 minutes for someone to pay out my money that was held captive in a malfunctioning machine.
And the person that paid me acted like she had been extremely inconvenienced

They need to loosen up on these slots. And don't leave how how ghetto it is, people walking around begging for cigarettes and money I mean where is security.

This was my first time visiting this casino. The payouts were not that great but afterall it is called "gambling." The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. One toilet was full of toilet paper and who knows what else. The other stall had urine on the floor. All over. It was deplorable. Even after i explained to a couple staff members the bathroom was NOT cleaned or taken care of. I made a point to check on our way out, which was 2 hours later. The only added star to make 3 was due to the fact that being a new card member and my first time there, they reimburse you up to $100 if you gamble and lose that amount. So needless to say, i should be getting a check in the mail within 3 weeks. Not very clean. Not sure i will return.

I enjoy coming to Majestic to play and for entertainment, However, i had to reframe myself from coming for a while because every time i come to play and enjoy a day out, im being targeted in losing my money. I never ever gets a chance in winning any money, at any time, and no time what so ever. Im so very tired of the mis-treatment. Its like when im sitting at the tables I am literally the only one loosing money constantly. So I find somewhere else to go and play.

The food is decent at both their steak restaurant and there snack shack. Their desserts are not great though. They definitely come out of boxes.

The janitorial staff is a bit rude though. If you're in there and they need to clean the place, they will ask you to hurry up.

Because you can smoke on the boat, the air is hit and acrid. There is no where to step out for a moment to breathe, so you either just deal with it or leave the casino to sit outside where trains go and spew smog.

The dealers are management staff are really nice. The dealer's will tell you how to play the game if you don't know how, slot machines are self explanatory though. The main game there is Black Jack. Tons of tables for that and Baccarat has its own room. They have a table for Roulette and a table for Craps. Three tables are for Poker variations like Texas Hold'em. That's all in the main area. Everywhere else has slot machines for days. I prefer card games personally because you can somewhat predict an outcome.

Imagine a casino where people save empty machines for their invisible friends. A place where if you sit at one of those machines you can ensure a verbal Altercation will take place. Just don t expect management, security or the on-site Gary police to care or protect you because they won t

Let s start from the beginning, when you walk in you there s a line for a temperature scan and ID check. Although they recommend a mask hardly anyone inside the casino is wearing them. Smoking is also allowed and there is no cleaning of the machines or of the casino at all. It s the perfect setting for the COVID-19 spread.

I visited there yesterday evening after a year with my husband and special needs adult son. I saw my favorite machine and waited for a seat to open up. When It did and I went to sit down the woman next to the machine started yelling at me and told me that the person sitting 10 feet away at another machine was waiting two hours to play this game. Next thing I know there were three people surrounding me, backing up this woman s claim. I walked away to avoid confrontation.
Next I found an open machine and sat there to play. My son and husband we re not playing but we re near me. There was a man and woman nearby each playing one machine. The woman would periodically get up and leave the machine with no money and no card. My husband tried to play that slot machine but the man Would quickly speak up and claim she d be right back., so we left it alone. A 4th slot machine opened up and my son went to sit and play it. What happened next was a shock. The 6 2 man went and called security to falsely accuse my family of taking up all the machines. There were three of us and we only playing 2 machines. There were two of them but they wanted to play 3 slot machines. In their mind that was acceptable. We didn t know what was going on until we heard the yelling and saw the finger-pointing. At that point I stood up To see what was going on. This man and woman began to verbally attack me and my family. I commented how no one was at the machine my son was playing and that we have a right to play at any slot machine that was available, so I thought. At that point, I heard the woman tell her friend to hold her back because her intentions apparently were to physically attack me. I asked security to call the police and I tried to call 911 myself. When the on-site Gary police officers showed up with the casino security supervisor, I informed them that I was in fear for my life and my families and wanted to file a police report against this person who was planning to attack me. The Gary Indiana police Officer told me that he would Not file a police report but will notate what has happened. I emphasized how aggressive this man and woman had become and how they were planning to attack us but that fell on deaf ears. Apparently unless she directly threatened to hurt me to my face I had no right to file a police report. Surprisingly we were asked to leave the casino. Definitely not the outcome I expected.
This was an experience I needed to write about and share. I d hate for anyone else to go through this.
This casino is extremely poorly run, has minimal security, no cleaning and very aggressive patrons who save all the machines. ITS NOT SAFE AVOID this place. AmeriStar is a neighboring casino has been newly remodeled very clean and a 100% better casino

Laid back quiet atmosphere at least when I went lunchtime on a Saturday. We did not see any Game King machines for video poker or blackjack but otherwise good times

BE CAREFUL WHEN GOING TO MAJESTIC STAR CASINO I give majestic star casino 0 stars, but I had to put 1. I have frequented there not the cleanest nor friendliest, most of the time I lose all my money which is okay. Why I am writing this is because when I went to the casino on August 3, 2018 I valeted my car when me and my husband want to pick up our car we had seen it parked about 5 cars down from the entrance so told the valet we could just walk to our car handed the valet the ticket and tip the valet took it, but insisted on walking us to our car. As we walked to our car the valet was hitting the panic button which was weird because we have keyless entry. When we got to our car there was a man in the driver's seat and a lady in the passenger back seat. We were shocked and asked why are you in our car they said my bad as they walked away. The valet did nothing we were in shock. I realized my brahimin purse and wallet was stolen along with 1400.00 cash a couple gift cards my make up bag make up my id, insurance cards. I contacted the casino was told to file a police report which I did, I called about 100 times they supposedly caught it on camera finally talked to the general manager after talking to supposed other managers. To my surprise I was told I would not get reimbursed by the casino, after basically being called a liar by the casino until they saw it on tape. I was going to go through my insurance and pay 1000.00 deductible!!why?! I believe this is a casino where they are not honorable and stand by employees that steal and have scams I already filed a scam alert with the bbb scams I honestly believe in my heart that this is happening all the time. The valet should of called the police right away and did not, either they stole my stuff or left the car unlocked which was negligence so they are responsible. BE CAREFUL at majestic star casino.

Waitresses kind of ride but besides that I had a pretty good time

Majestic Casino has some of the tightest slots this side of heaven. I visit on occasion but I rarely observe any winners. Majority of the patrons are seniors and African Americans. I would strongly suggest Rivers Casino. I will not be visiting anytime soon. I am sad and my pockets needs to be refreshed.

This is an old and dated casino. The food places arent good. The hotel is still decent and the people there are nice and helpful. Nothing to see around. The bathroom need to be updated. The parking lot has 24 hrs security people driving along.

Well this is my boat, I wins there more than any others boats. They give out nice gifts, people's are nice, the only problem I have is they never call my name for there big prizes out all those years I have been going. Wow maybe next time. I enjoy playing at the Majestic Star Amen

THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING!! you would think it's a casino so it must be clean... NOPE!! dirty as sin!! The employees are so unprofessional! I had a great host... years ago.. maintained black card holder and for whatever reason my host left and I got some fool named "jayjay".THE ABSOLUTE WORST HOST IN THE WORLD! he just got promoted from being a dealer.. and they give me him??? I wanted to go to the steak house for my BIRTHDAY like I usually did for the past 2 years... he didn't return my calls and a friend that gambles with me said he saw jayjay eating with three guests.. and guess what my "host" jayjay had compted their meal cause he sat and are with them... I found that out from the bartender mike... cause he told me... so how am I a black card holder with no comps??? EVERY SINGLE TIME I complain about him to the other hosts they say "write a complaint." IM TELLING ATLEAST 10 diff management about him.. no one cares here... this place was decent .... now because of this garbage host I have not been here for about 3 months... and I refuse to go here.. but let me mention on the day I decided would be my last... which was 3 days ago.. I went to non smoking flooor... I guess they had just changed the slot boxes.. I sit down and I'm playing this machine already for about 10 min... this old black lady in a rude tone says "this Is my machine I was playing that!" And let me remind you... no card was in machine.. no money... no even a turned chair.. so I said that I had been playing for10 min already.... she continued to stand there... for about 10 min.. huffing and puffing so she walks away and brings some other "host " who tells me "man this is her machine" and I'm looking at him like do you really want to lose your job? Thisisnt her machine FIRST of all.. but I can see it was a black thing cause he didn't let me speak a word but let her say whatever she wanted... so I will never ever be going back and all my friends who play there insured me they are suspending all play for being unprofessional and treating a high roller like trash... this used to be a nice place but not anymore... I tried out ameristar and within 3 months I jumped 4 color cards and I'm an elite member now... ameristar treats me so good compared to majestic... let alone they don't have slot mechanics harassing you about going out to dinner or asking if you are single the whole time you play... GO TO AMERISTAR!!! majestic is just very unprofessional and down right disrespectful!! Horrible hosts.. dirty floors.. most players are old and poor asking people for money... if you want to GAMBLE... GO to ameristar or even HORSESHOE!!!! I'd give zero stars.. but I have to give something in order for me to post.

Smoking is allowed in casinos, which dampers your gambling experience. All of the slots are tight!!! So if you're not trying to win any money and you're just hanging out for the night them Majestic Star is the place for you!
