What a wonderful place. The wonderful lady behind the counter helped me through as I have never been here and am unfamiliar with Cuban cuisine. The food was excellent, and had generous portions! The owner came and said hello, and his son (I think it may have been his son) checked on me. Super friendly people, great food. They all great one another with a kiss on the cheek, I live in Chicago, and I'll still be back!!

A bit expensive for a restuarant without waiters or waitresses. Stand in line to order $12-20 items and possibly some sides, then take your number to your table. Here you'll find nice thick paper napkins and flatware a large plastic cylinder waiting for you while you wait for your food. Two kinds of craft beer were available as well as some bottled beer. Some backed Cuban There also were a couple tables outside if al fresco is more your style. I had the El Cubano sandwich and wasn't terribly impressed.

Always a pleasure to visit Havana Grill. The combination of food and drink never disappoints. Last visit was with out of town guests and we weren't hurried out the door even though we sat and chatted to catch up. Very laid back attitude by the staff. Clean and upscale. Buen provecho!

I got the vegetarian plate, and it was delicious! It was more food than I expected, so I ll skip dessert next time. I hear that the cubano and the guava & cream cheese pastry are also very good.

Had the El Cubano, very good. My wife had the Pollo plate and we split an empanada. Everything was excellent, we plan on coming again.

For the area, the parking lot is pretty large. You order at the counter, pick up a number and grab a table. The restaurant itself is clean and modern feeling, well decorated.

Have never been to Cuba( couldn't go) or even south Florida, but this appears to be a suitable choice. I went back as well as forth with the celebrity ranking as I feel it is a 3.5. Spouse and also I have been a couple of times and it was a primarily good experience each time, that left me wanting to go back and attempt more.

Great spot.

Great spot.

The place has a welcoming, open and airy fee. The menu is excellent with great options to goose from (counter service).

The food is excellent, deep rich flavours. I got the pork plate and it was awesome. Tender pork with rice beans and plantain.

Service was prompt and friendly.

Over all great experience

I had a great lunch with my friend and and recommend anyone with a hankering for Cuban food check out this great restaurant. Order at the counter and the food is quickly delivered to your table. Some decent wines available by the cup. Great Cuban coffee! The pastries are super authentic. In order flan or rice pudding for dessert. I really enjoyed the meal very much. Nice casual well decorated dining area.

The philo dough pastries filled with, what I think was, an apricot jam and cream cheese. It had a sweet and savory tasted that is just right! It is hard to eat just one! Also, the tractor cola is phenomenal! The best soda that I have ever drank. There are unique combinations like pomegranate and tumeric which doesn't sound good then it turns out to be fantastic. Reading the labels of strange combinations then be pleasantly suprised is part of the fun.

Amazing portion sizes! I paid $18 for my meal. As a big guy, my plate was the first picture. By the end of it, I was completely satiated. I ordered steak with shrimp. They could have added maybe a little more shrimp, but everything else made up for that. The butter sauce was a great addition. Since I had some left over from the shrimp, I poured it over everything else to get more flavor. The sweet potatoes were amazingly crispy. Think of tempera from asian restaurant. I would recommend.

This place has phenomenal service. When you walk in you think you've been transported to a Cuban cafe in Miami. They have the go to menu items. If you don't know where to start Sylvia will listen to your thoughts and make a spot on recommendation. I had just started a keto diet when I walked in, bad for Cuban food. I told her what I was after and she made me a massive salad with olive oil dressing and a side of amazing black beans. It was awesome. Go here!

Pricey, but the food is nice. The yuca fries and maduros are fantastic. The spicy pork sandwich is better than the lechon (pork) plate: larger portion, softer more flavourful meat, soft bread matches well.

Delicious & fast. Order of black beans a bit small; next time I'll order two. Worth it. Platano maduros were excellent. Good customer service & nice atmosphere. I live in northern Nevada & miss Cuban food!

Very good food. Only criticism is the soda fountain. For me, undrinkable sodas no matter which flavor. Hostess gave us bottles of Coke. No diet coke. Staff is really nice. I'll definitely return regularly, jjust bring my own diet coke...

Best kept secret in San Diego. Authentic cuban food, just the way grandma used to make it back in Havana. Both the atmosphere and the friendly service at Havana Grill will leave an everlasting feeling of delight on anyone visiting.

I had the Vaca frita steak which had such a marvelous subtle flavor and was fork tender. There was this amazing sort of dark rice with some soft beans which was so unique and tasty. The plantains were the best I have ever had. I go to the Caribbean every year, and I have yet to truly enjoy plantains until this restaurant.

Well to start off the salsa greets you and this Puerto Rican loves some salsa. The establishment was not typical that I know of Cuban restaurants but it still had some carribean flair to me with the seating up to the hats the attendants wore. Spacious and very clean and organized. The attendants were great. They were very attentive. The menu is varied and they have quite the selection of drinks/beverages. I had The Hemingway and that shrimp, steak, rice, roasted vegetables and chimichurri were da bomb! The tostones with mojo also were flavorful.

It is my understanding that both tbe chef and owner are Cuban which makes it more authetic. Well it does to me. Unfortunately, I didn't have the coffee and my dessert (flan) I took to go along with an empanada and some macarons. I expect it to be just as delicious or better than my meal. Otherwise I'll post it here.

Am I coming back? Ya doggone right I am!
