Always fun fun fun!! Go when it's not packed or you'll waste your money. Or buy a season pass to eliminate wasting money. Great place to enjoy family and friends. Fury is awesome!! Check it out!

This was my family's first time visiting Carowinds. It's no Six Flags, but it's a decent amusement park, we had a good time. We arrived later in the afternoon, so there was plenty of parking (VIP parking) and the wait time in lines weren't long at all. Of the four or five rides we did, The Intimidator (Dale Earnhardt) and The Fury were the best rides at the park. Overall, a nice park. Will visit again!

FUN FOR EVERYONE!!! Rides for all sizes! HUGE WATERPARK!! Cost is high... If you are planning on going at least two times, GET A SEASONS PASS! It will pay for itself, also gives you FREE parking, DISCOUNTS on food and merchandise!! Highly recommend to locals, and DEFINITELY A MUST FOR VISITORS!

Great time with the family this evening at Winterfest. Carowinds does such a nice job with their themed events, ie Scarowinds and Winterfest. The staff and attendants were/are professional and friendly. Yes, the lines can be long at times and who are we kidding I just hate dealing with large crowds, but at the end of the day it's all about the kids. We planned accordingly getting there early and I psyched myself up to deal with the crowds, lol, and It turned out to be a great time for myself and the family.

Literally the worst theme park. Got there today ar 9 when it opened before it started to get busy. Walked around endlessly bc nothing was opened. Wasted a whole day to walking. They make it so expensive that you pretty much might as well get the season pass but expect to waste your day to long lines and supervisors walking around acting like theyre doing something and there not. Dont waste your money

Recently attended Carowinds with my family and I had a great time! Lines weren't too long, staff were friendly and helpful -- food was a bit overpriced, but that's pretty common for theme parks. I also really appreciate the fact that they offer ticket/hotel combos for a discounted price. I prefer this experience to the one I had at Busch Gardens!

A classic amusement park with a world class coaster lineup and a decent number of flat (non-rollercoaster) rides. Great for people of all ages, as there are rides for every level of thrill and a natural progression of intensity. There are plenty of options for food, even for people with dietary restrictions. There are even some experiences that aren't rides, such as the dinosaur area. While you're here, you must ride their top 3 coasters (Fury 325, Intimidator, and Afterburn) and try some of the rest of their lineup (Copperhead Strike, Hurler, Carolina Goldrusher, etc.) Also try the Sky Tower and Windseeker for amazing views of the surrounding area. If I had to complain about anything, it would have to be lack of theming in some areas, some small gaps in their ride lineups, and frequent ride closures. However, even with that, the park is more than worth a visit.

Our family had a great time there over Easter break. Park was clean and was a lot bigger than I thought. We brought our 2 year old son there and he had a blast at the kid's section, Camp Snoopy. As far as adult rides, you need to know 3 rides for sure. Fury, Intimidator, Afterburner (Top Gun)

Best group of roller coasters I've ever seen. Couldn't get thru them all even though the lines weren't excessively long and we were there from open to close. We had a challenge making our way around as there are minimal directional signs

It's pretty fun to visit once if u never been before but it's way over priced. Better have a pocket full of money if u plan to spend the day there. Food is gonna cost u like ur at a high priced restaurant. U will spend half ur day waiting in long lines to ride the good rides. Other than that it's okay

The most fun I had in a long time! So happy I went on all the coasters and Fury 325 was by far the BEST coaster I have EVER been on! The entrance into the park to ride that ride alone was worth it! FYI... The front row is where it's at!!!

Season Pass buyers BEWARE, I have been coming to Carowinds since I was 10 yrs old and enjoyed it as a child, however I am 39 now and regretfully 320 lbs and I don't fit on any of the adult Rollercoasters. I am above average in size but not that large, for example I can ride every ride at Disney world without a problem but do not fit on any coasters here, and it still costs me the same price for a seasons pass.

Fun place to be, definitely recommend the fast pass, otherwise you re in some pretty long line. The food is alright but very expensive, the rides are well maintained, and the app makes navigating the park very simple.

The place is terrible! Decided to go July 3rd because in my family there are 2 birthdays and we have a Veteran who got in free. Every ride was a 2 hour wait in line. Which means we were planning to stay for 10 hours so maybe we could have made it on 5 rides without breaking, eating or exploring any of the other things. Of course in 100 degree weather breaking and eating are necessary! In the end some of the people in our family made it on 1 ride and 2 at most. Around 8 o'clock a storm set in so everything was shut down. We ran to the nearest shelter and after waiting almost an hour began asking employees for help to our vehicles (shuttle, complimentary ponchos, something!). Everything was a NO. We ended up running a half mile to the parking lot in pouring rain with 3 small kids! Customer service is lousy. Like all employees wear supervisor name tags but reply "I don't know." to all questions. My family and I will not be returning!

Scarrowinds was a blast. My first time attending was definitely not your normal amusement park experience. It was foggy all over the park, and my girlfriend kept getting scared. Hilarious and a blast for the entire group that went.

Staff was helpful. Food was terrible but I ate where the others wanted to go and it cost over 40$ for 2 plates of Chinese, without drinks. It was dry and cold. The girls waited 2 times for over an hr to ride a ride and got to the front of line in time for them to close the ride. No offer was made to assist them to ride without a wait anywhere else and that was 2 hours out of the day! Alot of money for 1 day tickets, and a 2h drive to get there, for 2h to be wasted!

I can t say enough good things. Plenty to do for the littlest kids to the biggest at heart! Money WELL spent! Do everything online though!! I clouding the parking pass and food passes!! It saves you A LOT of $$$!

Ever since they updated the kids area this park has been perfect for our family. I started visiting here as a child, but it's way better now. The coasters are great, shows have been fun, and we can't wait to try the water park. Loads of carnival games too, and at Halloween they do a good job. Bought season passes this year so we can take our time trying the whole park. Good value with parking included if you live local don't just visit once. Enjoy the whole season.

This is a great amusement park, very clean, lots of different fun things to do. You can easily spend an entire day enjoying the park. My only complaint is the exorbitant parking fee of $20. Not included with admission. This is simply just way to much to charge guests, to come into the park.

thuiith was unaware that I needed to have proof that my son is a toddler to go into Carowinds. So after Kim checked to see if I renewed him online (which it was) and I explained that I haven't even been there all summer (plus they scanned me in...so I was technically in the park) they still REFUSED to let him in. Not to mention that we was with a summer group identified by matching shirts and they still would not allow my son to go in with me...now I keep saying my son because they would let me in but NOT a 4 year old. I pleaded to just this once since he is 4 and I had a group of kids that I was with. There was nothing they could do (even tho I'm a gold pass holder). I would like the 51 dollars refunded back to my card and don't charge for anything else.

This place sucks! Memorial Weekend, a huge crowd event and 3 roller coasters down at once. It s not like they have that many huge thrill rides, so should we just spend our day in the kid area?!?!? EVERYTIME WE VE BEEN HERE MAJOR THRILL RIDES ARE DOWN!!!! Not worth the $$$. #disappointed again in you Carowinds

Great place to visit. The park actually offers free water and discounted soft drinks on super hot days, along with a p.a. announcement reminding guests to stay hydrated. However, other beverages and snacks are very expensive. Plan ahead and bring your own cold beverages.

A great amusement park in the Carolinas. Prices can be hefty especially with food and souvenirs inside the park. This is a fun place to go with older kids and teens. There is a part of the park that is good for younger kids. Some rides do have height requirements. There are lots of fun carnival games to play. The rollercoasters offer a great thrill.

It's a magic pleace to spend time with family and friends, there're many extreme rides and you can find very good food there. Also, you can enjoy the funniest wather park in Carolinas.

We have a Platinum pass for our family. This was our first visit to Scarowinds. We are more familiar with King's Dominion and visited their Haunt the week before. The closing from 5pm to 7pm was a huge inconvenience as the entry and exit was a disaster. When we rentered the park it took over 30minutes to get to a parking space. The experience inside the park was enjoyable.

Carowinds was amazing!!! I have a very restricted diet, but I was able to find everything I needed to eat. All the roller coasters were amazing. They were the best ones I've ever been on.

Tons of fun here! Plenty of rides for the entire family to enjoy! I love rollercoasters and there are plenty of them here for me! There are also a great number of kids rides and family rides. Something here for the entire family to enjoy!

Disappointed in the number of good thrill rides. Actually only 2 very good rides. Fury was great however!

Poor guidance about where you actually are once in the park and how to get to specific things. It's like they want you to wander around in order to spend more money.

I want to give this place zero stars!!!! I am sitting at Carowinds right now after driving 4 hours with a dozen people to celebrate my daughter s 16th birthday. The mysterious decision maker who is conveniently not on the property has decided to close at 3pm when they are supposed to be open until 8pm, effectively making our trip pointless! It is a beautiful day and I m told it is just because he didn t feel there were enough people at the park. It is mid-November so I can t imagine there is ever a large crowd at this time. However, the people who paid to be here should get to use the park during the established park hours! They said the ticket would be good until the end of this year (a few more weeks), but I am not driving another 4 hours to return to this place with the most awful ethics and service!!!! So sad and disappointed!

No longer owner by Paramount the park has been upgraded beyond recognition. Plenty of newer rides and attractions as well as lower prices and better deals at concession stands. Carowinds is definitely a place you need to visit if you're anywhere near the area.

Needs more family rides and water rides in the park, they shouldn't had took that out, my family were burning hot, we didn't bring swim suits, so we couldn't go to water park, also so inconvenient, the entrance is way too far over, should be like more Kings Island and Cedar Point, in the middle of the park, also the cones, way too many of them
