I've been going for the last 30 years. I love it Everytime. I do wish they'd bring back something like Smurf island again with play ground areas for kids. Honestly that was a blast. Or even better... Playground areas for adults. And I miss the big boat ride.
This is a nice theme park especially if.you like roller coasters!! Food prices are as expected outrageous!!
I had a great time at Carowinds! Spent hours out there in the heat with my feet killing me but still had a smile on my face. Great atmosphere and great restaurants and refreshments. Plenty to do out there!!
Very well kept amusement park with some scary wild rides! Thrill seekers will have a blast riding the Intimidator and Fury.
Carowow! Came here with friends to hang out in the boiling hot sun and left with my legs feeling woobly. The rides are stupid fun and the whole layout of the park is really good and organized. My only complaint is that some staff members are incredibly sassy and scary. Overall great experience and I will return.
SUPER FUN! Even if you just go alone you have a blast. Food is extremely overpriced so I would consider a meal plan just to save money but other than that it's amazing.
Fun day with grandkids but since they close at 5 the price should have been 1/2 and a lot of rides did not operate. Cost is way too high for normal people.
Visited during winterfest. The experience of the park at night is really good. The seasonal events and performances were top notch. I wish the had more of the coasters open because of how much it cost.
Buy ur tickets online or pay alot at the gate! Nice friendly place. I love the rides and attractions. Service can be a little better.
My son and I love going to carowinds. We are season pass holders as well as the dining package and drink package holders and it is so worth it. You can get so many options there for food and we spend the entire day there between the amusement and water park. We visit carowinds as much as we can and the staff is ways kind and accommodating!
Great place. Isn't as big as the major theme parks in n the USA like Six Flags etc. However, it's a full days work to enjoy it all. Best times to visit are Fridays and Sundays. Wait times are short and discounts available in the afternoon.
We went on a three hour road trip to the park on Sept 28 specifically for the water park, only to find out it was closed. The lady gatekeeper said it had been closed for two weeks already and no idea when it will get reopened.
We bought the ticket on line and none was said about the water park being closed. The website did not put any announcement about the matter. Our excitement turned to disappointment. We still went for the rides, though, so as not to waste our time
I wish the park management would be more diligent in updating their website.

Fun lots of games, food, rides. But after you rides it starts to get boring waiting in lines just to get on the same rides. Overall this place is amazing.
Second time for the hubby and I; first time for the boys....they are so ready...lol
Very safe and clean. People working there were nice and highly trained. Have put free water to stay hydrated. My only issue was that the arcade games were absolute ripoffs. Also, if you get nauseous easily, don't ride the intimidator or the fury 325.
We have truly been to many parks (sea world, Aquatica, Disney, dorney park) through the years and Carowinds definitely has a nice family vibe. Very chill atmosphere and very friendly workers throughout the park. We truly enjoyed our 4 days weekend at Carowinds. The water park is just as amazing as the regular park. This has been our 3 rd visit to North Carolina this year and we have platinum passes with meal plan so we go as we wish. We love Carowinds my 13 year old loves it too. She wants to go back already and we just came back.
Great place for all ages....needs better rides for kids between the ages of 6-10 who aren't that tall. Many of the rides they are able to ride are really for toddler size
The family really enjoyed. We did t get are money worth because it rain wish they would of let us in the next day at a discounted rate

Amazing amusement park to come to! I try to come out every halloween for scarowinds and each year they take it up a notch! There always plenty of rides to ride and if you really enjoy rollercoasters that is the place to go to. The staff have always been friendly and helpful as well! I will be continuing the tradition of coming out ofr scarowinds every year I can for the foreseeable future!
I loved it. Its a great place to bring your family and there's a lot of entertainment there. The rides are fantastic. If you love rollercoasters you'll love the fury 325, intimidator, after burn and all of the others. The food is Soo good and its cool you can be in 2 states at once.
Yo some guy just straight up gave me a hedgehog plush from the archery game and I've never been happier
Carowinds is a great place for a family trip! Lots of rides, attractions, food places, and souvenir stores. Also includes great customer service and friendly staff. The water park is even better! I've been here about 5 times and I'll keep coming!
Been around for yrs. Love going here. Get for kids in summer and love the water park also
Food is really pricey. Over 50 for 4 people. 50 is not bad but when it is small servings and you have to wait in a line to pay and your food is cold by the time you eat it not worth the price. No drinks were included in that price. We bought the drink you could refill all day, however at one point we were told it had to be at least 15 minutes in between refills. No where we could find is that written or told when you buy the drink. Was a fun park but Busch Gardens is much better.
I loved it because it was a great thrill experience. Had never been, and the people there were so nice when we ask them how to get somewhere. Overall nice atmosphere!
Grew up going to Carowinds and the rides just keep getting better! Glad to have the opportunity to take my boys and enjoy the rides and the awesome water park. Just wish we would have had 2 days to do it all!

A great time with or without children. The park itself is very clean. The staff is awesome. We go here at least 3 times a week. There a alot of restaurant choices.Depending on the day the wait times for rides are not bad either.

Carowinds is an amazing place! I love going here over the summer and all through December. The staff is always very friendly and welcoming. Carowinds is a place for people of all ages to have fun, and I m so glad to live right by. Food, drinks, and such are severely overpriced in my opinion. Make sure to bring a bag full of extra cash if you re planning a trip here!

This place is awesome when it comes to Halloween. The people in the costumes are great. I love how they get into character. If you have little kids, it is wise to buy one of their Blue necklaces so that the monsters don't scare your child, or you. I love the Fright zones and the scare zones. They are super cool and some of them are a lot of fun.
I LOVE going to Carowinds we get Gold Passes every year!! We love going and spending a whole day at the park, my cousin works there too. Its so much fun I've been going for 5 years straight now and its got funner every year. So many memories in that park!!!

My kids and I had so much fun at this park. I have been attending Carrowinds for years. I absolutely love the roller coasters that they have; the only one that I do not like is the vortex roller coaster, as it jostles you around too much and the bicycle type seats hurt. Most of the park is very clean. The employees are VERY strict on height requirements for the rides.
Coming from Ohio and being used to Kings Island and Cedar Point, this was quite disappointing. Fairly small park with few coasters. No live entertainment shows. No fireworks at closing. Feeling kinda ripped off after buying season passes for the family, expecting it to be comparable to other Cedar Fair Parks. Other than that, it seems to be fairly well kept and clean, staffed with the usual teenage workers that would obviously rather not be working. Oh, and their all day drink cups have shrunk to half size and doubled in price. We probably won't go back after using our season passes this year.
Love the rides. It rained the day we went. We rode all the rides. It was great. My grandson was 3 and loved the Snoopy train.
My family and I drove to the Carolinas during our daughters Spring Break basically to ride Fury 325 and to visit other Cedar Fair Parks. Kings Island is our home park and we visit Cedar Point 2-3 times a year too. We had a lot of fun at Carowinds......definitely worth the trip!
Always love coming here. It s so nice having such a major theme park close to home. It does get crowded, but nothing too crazy. Every staff member here are always very nice and know where everything is.
Food here is overpriced, so I don t recommend getting anything unless you want too.
The Starbucks here does take Starbucks cards, so that s great.
Great amusement park many experience more than 64 rides
The best ride is the Fury. It is incredibly fast and a complete thrill ride. The food is a little pricey, but you expect that in an Amusement park. The only difference is their food is worth the money. They have a live band that plays several times during the day. They have an areas designated for children and so much to do. I highly recommend this for families or even a group of friends to take on together.
I grew up coming to Carowinds and love this park! Always clean, very manageable wait times and tons of attractions. Great park for thrill seekers or families looking for a fun day away.
Recommend this place over Six Flags. Just me. Seems like they're a little more put together and friendly here. Scare-owinds is sooooo fun. Favorite part of the year. Better than Fright Fest by a long shot.
Wonderful time in a fabulous place! Amazing dancer and singer! Beautiful show in the theatre! I love this time of the year and this place.
Super packed when we went, took us about an hour to just park. Then the gate was crammed packed. Took us at least 30 mins to go through security. We went for Carowinds, so the time we missed out ona lot of fun inside the park.
Make sure you don t get thirsty an hour and a half or less before park closing. If the park closes at 10 pm , the only place to get a drink after 8:30 is either of the Rita s stands or Sweet Frog. Shame on you Carowinds when it s still 90+ degrees out only having about 4 places to get a cup of water.

We like to go to water ride but it was closed we don't know till we enter into it.some rides are fully dustly they didn't clean while moving fast it comes into our eyes its mainly in the kids ride.Lot of items are closed.Theatre also closed.we enter in the morning and we return in 2 hours too disappoint without water ride.

Scaowinds is awful. A huge waste of money. Too crowded and not enough characters in the mazes. They dont even jump out and scare u they stand behind a wall and stare at u and say nothing. Will definitely not be back.
Carowinds is a decent place. Just make sure that you are sure about EVERYTHING because they DO NOT DO REFUNDS. Today me and my family were on our way to carowinds and it said they were open online so we bought our tickets online. After a 3 hour drive, we realized they were closed but we already had our PAID TICKETS with us. When we asked to cancel the retire reservation and get our money back, the proceeded to make EVERYTHING AS HARD AS POSSIBLE and we did not end up getting our money back.
Love the rides . The grounds are nicely kept. I would suggest packing lunch or look for the chain restaurant . The other restaurant prices are pretty high.
The lunch idea is a nice break if you plan to stay from open to close. I always enjoyed it .
Awesome absolutely awesome. Fun for everyone. Great atmosphere helpful/ informative staff always willing to go out their way to help and make sure you and the family are safe and having fun. Lines are always long, person who bought our tickets accidentally bought them for a day earlier and we had to pay $20/ticket to update them. BS.
So so park. Only 2 modern coasters. Flat rides are decent. Seem to have major reliability issues with the coasters too. The wooden one got stuck. The inverted one was closed. 4d ride closed. Reverse coaster was being tested literally most of the day. If you want you Go on Fury 325, then by all means go. It's awesome. Rest of the park, not so much. 1 star for park and added 2nd star for Fury 325. I'd recommend Kings Dominion or Busch Gardens for a far better experience.

It s great having an awesome theme park close to home. Although it s been a while since we have been there because our boys are older now. We certainly enjoyed it for many years. Always got the season passes and they paid for themselves in no time!
Thank you Carowinds for honoring Veterans!!! The Fury is the best, fastest and funnest roller-coaster there. Would highly recommend the fast pass if you want to ride without the long wait.
I got fast lane plus and it seemed like I could have not even bought it. 3/4 of the rides didnt have people checking for fast lane and some had a gate so we just stood there and waited until someone came to open it. Also the employees just didn't feel enthusiastic. At one of the drink dispensers it took a guy ~10 to get us 3 unlimited drink cups because they just didn't care and there was a huge line.
