Our Company provided Family tickets to several amusement parks. The moment we walked in the clouds dropped to the ground with thundering and lightning. They should have given rain checks due to the tixs had to be used on certain days. Other amusement parks that co workers chose gave them an option of rescheduling and attending on other dates. My grand kids didnt get the chance to ride one ride nor play a game. #sadgrandma

We love Carowinds. It's a great place to come for a day of fun. The are lots of thrill rides for the big "kids" and plenty of family rides for the "little" kids or ones who don't like coasters. Even just sitting and people watching can be fun. Be sure and buy the refillable drink bottle. It can get really hot and you will want to stay hydrated! Fortunately, there are lots of shady spaces to stop and rest, too. If you are going to stay all day, the all day meal plan is also worthwhile.

Fury and night hawk are very exciting, water park was half closed though. You can find some great deals online to get in there cheap. try it during the week, to avoid the biggest crowds.

Who knew there was an amazing Gigantic Theme Park in North Carolina

I loved Carowinds because it was half the price of Disney but all the fun Carowinds has 15 plus high thrill rollercoasters. I screamed on every last one of them. Just like other traditional theme parks Carowinds is broken into different themed lands. My two favorites was county fair and Camp Snoopy where I got to hangout with my old friend Charlie Brown. We got to ride on of their nearest rides, a double launch rollercoasters called the Copperhead Strike. Carowinds is a must do at a great price.

Always a great experience at Carowinds. Come maybe once a year, good rides, good environment, reasonable price for amusement park admission, though still a bit pricey if you are paying for a few people. My interactions with staff have always been pleasant. And Carowinds is located very conveniently right off of interstate 77.

Convenience fees for online bookings are really high(at least $6.99) they don t show it upfront Until you get to the last screen. Park Timings are a big let down. Too much crowd and very less facilities.

Went on the first 100 degree day of the year this past summer and was amazed to find water stations up throughout the park. Staff was friendly and polite. Plus it must have been good manners day because all the patrons were friendly too. Only thing we hated was the waterpark closes so early. Thanks for the memories Carowinds!

Family was denied admission citing food and beverage policy. There is no reference of any policy section on entire website about food and beverage policy. After inquiry the guest services informed about vague mention in FAQ's but does not describe how people with allergies will be helped.

Normally spend about 6 hours in park and how can we survive without eating food.
My husband is diabetic and my daughter is allergic to almost all meat based products. Further, I have been admitted to the park 5 times this year and never told about this strange policy about parks not allowing customers to bring their own food. The security guard constantly citing reasons as website and there is no mention in any policy of being denying admission for bringing own food.

The rides are fun! Wait time wasn't bad, probably bc this is the cooler part of the year. Parking is $20. Buses are free. Admission was free for military to honor Veterans day. The price at the gate is too high. Get lower prices online. Lockers are expensive. Carry a backpack if you need to. No outside food or drink is permitted in the park but the food inside is way too high. One Cinnamon roll was $5.99 and one funnel cake is $11!! I suggest bringing your meal in a cooler & just go to your vehicle for lunch. Buy beverage in souvenir cup & get free soda the rest of the day. I had fun just watching the kids. They were happy so I'm happy

Carowinds is an amazing value for the money. Very high quality Park. Great rides. Great food. Great staff. The events year round make it worth getting a season pass. Buy a gold pass!! Oh and there is a decent waterpark too! I come here at least once a week

I love the rollercoasters here! They are some of the best in the country! The only downside is that there isn't a build up to them like what Universal or Disney have. At Carowinds you just stand in line, and the line is a line. At Universal the line is an experience.

Scarowinds was pretty lame. The skeleton crew was pretty interesting, but on the whole, it is very overcrowded and the scarers won't even look at me... I've seen scarier guest than the people getting paid for it.

This place is awesome!! We didn't even get a chance to visit the entire park because it's so huge. The kids area is huge as well with several rides. We purchased season passes, which includes a lot of free entries to several events at the park and free parking. They also accept military discount on season passes. Last, but not least when you have season passes items you purchase will receive an additional discount, which is magnificent!!! We plan to visit the entire season, including Halloween and the winter fest. I would definitely recommend this place for kids (adults too).

Did not provide a map so I felt I was walking in circles at night since I attended scarowinds. There were many scary actors however, most of them were grouped up chatting with each other. I remember enjoying it much more 3 years ago.

Season pass holders have a 30 minute early access to ride the Copperhead which is in the back of the park. If the parking gate does not open until 30 minutes prior, explain to me how you can proceed through the parking gate, park, go through security, then the ticket gate and walk through the entire park to get to Copperhead by 9:30 when we are still sitting with the gate locked at the park entrance?

To crowd could not ride the rides to long of lines and people can't drive in a rush to get in front of your vehicle and about to cause an accident they don't realize you have kids in your vehicle could cause them to get hurt cause of there rushing to go to the same place you are going. No cops to direct traffic

This was our family's first time at Carowinds. It was everything you would expect from a great amusement park, with three minor exceptions. 1. Even with the season passes, the visit was relatively expensive. 2. There was a cultish reference to the "beloved" founder of the park. 3. Their roller coasters are designed with Microsoft Excel, according to the propaganda videos shown at the entrance of the wooden roller coaster. Thanks for a great time!

I highly doubt someone won't have fun here. There are so many great rides and places to just sit and relax for a while. My only complaint is the prices are SUPER high. A drink can cost you 6 dollars and a funnel cake 15$. If you plan on going and buying food I'd bring like 20$ for yourself.

The park I s okay. Not the best rides nor shows. Staff was not friendly, and they moved with no sense of urgency. Park bathrooms were dirty. Did not go to water park. No music playing throughout the park. The park is NOT well lite at night. It is really dark at night. When park announced it was closed the bathroom lights got turned off with people inside who came out by using thier phones flashlight. The cool part was that the state line runs in the middle of the park. This park rates below Kings Dominion and both of those rate below Busch Gardens which is a very clean good park!

We have visited twice in the last year. As a family of 5, kids aged 5-8-10, theme park visits can be cut short easily. Not at Carowinds! Hours pass without a complaint from the kids and we ALL have so much fun! Costs are as unreasonable as all similar parks but well worth the family memories.

A surprisingly worthwhile season pass for Pre-K kids and families. This park has been around since we were kids and I can tell they have worked hard to provide worthwhile options for all age families.

Camp Snoopy is surprisingly fun for kids of all ages with options for adults and kids as young as 2 years old. Even though the characters are rather less well-known to younger generations, they are quickly seen as fun characters for the kids. It is also nice having an iconic cartoon that we grew up with.

The splash zone is also an amazing place for kids of all ages and adults (especially with the various levels of slides) and provides a secluded area for kids to play without parents having to worry about them going elsewhere.

I ve been coming to Carowinds on and off for 3 decades. They ve recently upgraded and added more little-kid friendly attractions including a playground (hooray for no lines there)! Going during the week (summer only) will spare you from the masses on the weekends. Lots of bathrooms and cold water available no matter where you are in the park.

Good place to take the kids, passes are worth it.

Good place to take the kids, passes are worth it.
Always busy and its usually between hard to impossible to get a cold coke with ice. Many food places are closed thru out the day, or out of ice or coke, most of them start closing an hour before closing time and they ll even close their stand with people still waiting in line.
Security is also already long to go thru and they are usually rude and only escalating in this manner :(

Great place for family fun. If you plan on going at least twice in a year you'll be better off investing in the season pass. If you didn't already know this place has both amusement park rides and a water park and both are worth it. Only downside is everything inside the park is ridiculously expensive as with any amusement park, a meal and a drink if not added to the season pass will run you close to $20 a person so just keep that in mind.

I absolutely love Fury and the intimidator! Copperhead was ok, but have rode much better rides. I gave it a lower review due to a couple of things. This was our first trip there. There was hardly any signage to tell which way rides were. More

We got season passes and went on our first trip of the season yesterday. WOW. Season passes are the way to go! We did not have to rush around trying to see and do everything. We were able to take our time and enjoy each other and the park. Such a relaxing experience compared to previous experiences, which were wonderful but rushed. I am looking forward to the rest of this season.

Just got back from Winterfest. What a complete waste of money that was. I'm glad we got a military discount but even with that it was a terrible way to spend $30. I love Carowinds. I have been going there literally since before I could walk. SCarowinds is awesome so I had high hopes for Winterfest. There was literally only ONE roller coaster open and the line was ridiculous. And since none of the good rides were open, the lines for the not as good rides were too long to wait in. Overcrowded, overpriced, 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Had a fun time with kids at Peanuts Halloween that day. Ride lines were long and moved slowly, not all rides were open unfortunately. Park was decorated very nice for halloween, but very crowded too surprising for a short day 10 - 5, Scar-o-winds was running from 7 - 12 that evening.

Place was great. Started seeing familiarities as some as I entered the park. Then I looked it up and found that it's owned by another familiar friend, Cedar Fair which also owns Cedar Pointe among others like Six Flags and Kings Island. My daughter' loved it also and I'm glad I took them.

You must get fast passes, they are a little expensive but its DEFINATELY worth it. If you really want to enjoy your time here the fast pass is a must so you dont wait in lines, me and my girlfriend and my two friends rode every ride and did the whole water park in one day. The food is expensive and so are drinks so try to eat before you go in if your looking to save money. The rides are awesome and I always have fun. The water park has a lot of rides as well and would definately recomend going here for the fury 365 if you have a fast pass. It is a rediculous ride and so much fun.

Such a fun place to go with friends or family!!! So many things to do and see! I will say that if you go I d recommend getting a fast lane pass!!! You can ride so many things in a faster time span! In 2 hours of being there we only rode one ride! After that we got a fast pass and we rode 10 rides in 4 hours! It was such a good experience! If your gonna spend the money you might as well upgrade to have the best time ever!
