Great place to hang out and spend time with family and friends. Great service when you need it. But the last time I was there last week the water park was closed and most of the rides. They really need more workers.

The park it's self isn't bad, but you can tell the staff doesn't care much about their jobs. And it's kinda hard for kids that are too old for most of the kiddie rides, but too short for the adult rides.

I visited during Scarowinds season. This is the first time I ve ever actually ridden a rollercoaster, and this place didn t disappoint! The people dressed up in scary costumes did an excellent job spooking the guests. The pricing was decent. 10/10 would recommend!

Going back this weekend. We usually go once or twice a year and always have fun. My children are 10 & 13 and enjoy it.

****Edited**** we went yesterday and had a lot of fun. We did two meal plans to share between the four of us and we were full all day!

Carowinds will always hold a special place in my heart. I can remember coming here for various activities when I was growing up, whether it be with school, girl scouts, with friends, whatever. The only amusement park in the US that straddles 2 states, it has a variety of rides and water park that has grown and changed over the years. Some things have not changed (I am looking at you wooden Gold Rush ride that is just as jerky as it always has been) to the new rides. I came recently to hangout with a friend I have had since high school (which seems like it was only yesterday). I would recommend this for anyone looking to make some memories with friends and family that will last a lifetime.

Great place for the kids they loved snoopy land. The only thing was that we saw a little boy 9-10 sitting by the trolley by himself with no food for the past 2 hours NO KiDS by themselves at carowinds to many strangers. Food is kinda of high and check the weather before you go NO REFUND

Some rides are fun, some are painful. Staff was rude, very unfriendly. Employees act like you re a burden when you ask a question. In line of the vortex the employees didn t even check to see if our seat belts were fastened. No maps are given while entering the park. Paid for a meal plan and 2 day ticket. Also had to pay 20 dollars to park. Meal plan is very unclear, most food stands don t accept the plan. Had to rent a locker just store a small bag for a 5 minute ride. The miserable looking employees ruined our experience. Great park If you don t have high expectations when it comes to customer service.

I had never been to Carowinds before. But I would highly recommend this place to anyone that has never been before I pay for my ticket in advance. This is somewhere that I would highly recommend taking your children buy your tickets early and buying The Wristband to eat all day every 90 minutes. This was a great experience.

Fridays are not bad days to go. Arrive early 10-11am.Food &water prices outrageous. Bring your own leave it in a cooler in the car,get stamped go to the parking lot and have lunch. On this day lines were short and park employees friendly.Got on several coaster rides and time at the wave pool.A day of fun and time with family or friends. Have a computer savvy wife to find deals online.

It's fun to go there if you like roller coasters. What I really didnt like was being made to feel like a peasant because I have a problem with paying $60 extra, per person, to get a "quick pass". The quick pass automatically puts you at the front of the line to ride everything. Which, of course, makes the majority of the people who go there stand in line even longer to ride something. When it gets hot and it got to 103 degrees while I was there, you start feeling a little bit of resent towards Carowinds for having such a perk.

the rides are good enough. make sure to take a second mortgage out on your house before you go if you re planning to eat the provided restaurants. they are expensive. i have a feeling that the 3 point shooting contest is rigged. the north carolina side is alright but the south is above par. if you go in the snoopy area prepare to lose a child because it will happen. kenneth im still looking for you. if you find a child named kenneth tell him papas coming. he should be wearing his collar still

Ok let me start with how our day started. Their security check point is a real Charlie Foxtrot amateur hour to put it mildly. No control over the crowds lines bringing skipped by large groups 2 altercations that almost went to blows and 4 people fell out from the heat. This was how we spent the first hour of our park time this morning. If it wouldn't of been a school trip I would of demanded a refund and left. Once inside everything was a little better but half of the rides and food venders were not even open. This is an hour and a half after the gates opened. Not really sure if we will be back I'll take my funds to a larger better park that's cleaner and better organized. Just my 2 cents

Very nice. The traffic lanes entering the park need to be painted and signs put up to help direct traffic. And second you have to first pass through a metal detector before presenting your tickets, there are no no lanes set up to allow orderly processing through the metal detector. The process is bad, people breaking in line, no signs to indicate that you must first pass the detector. Hordes of people just mass up and try push Thier way through.

The park is very fun. The lines can be long but the rides are a blast. I love spending time with friends and family there, there is so much to do that you can spend the whole day there. The service from the associates was great and the food at the restaurants was expensive but very good. I noticed how clean it was in the restaurants because I say an associate walking around cleaning the tables and sweeping

Very expensive on everything from food, drinks, dots ice cream and enterance fee. Also can't ride everything in one day...no way. Unless it's a slow day...good luck figuring that out! Overall fun family day though!!!

I appreciate what Carowinds does for the military and their families. We saved a lot of money on military day.
My family had a great time and we will be back soon.
I would like to see the company focus on keeping the park clean and enforcement of smokers only smoking in designated areas. Also, people were wearing their two piece swimsuit outside of the water park when signs clearly stated not to.

since they updated the kids area this park has been perfect for our family, and other families. The coasters are great, shows have been fun, and the water park is amazing. Loads of carnival games too, and at Halloween they do a good job. Bought season passes this year so we can take our time trying the whole park. Good value with parking included if you live local don't just visit once. Enjoy the whole season.

We love it! We have season passes and go every year. Our kids love the water park. There is something to entertain everyone of different ages. Though, we try to avoid the peak season of summer because it does get packed and hot!

Excellent to hang around with family and kids. Waterpark is awesome. Lots of rides that kids can enjoy. Needs well planning as the whole day to be dedicated to go through the entire park.

So fun

We decided to buy season passes this year as we haven t been in 9 years and knew our kids would love it (ages 7 & 4). We ve been about 8 times now and seems like every time we ve encountered a problem. Such as, one lady with the snoopy character was rude and hateful and tried to push through me and my kids, and rude people at the food places. The lifeguards at the kiddy area when you first walk in all day different things as far as height requirements, my 4 year old rode two of the bigger slides on two different days and was then told she couldn t ride because she wasn t y all enough. A worker on the ricochet told my son he was too short to ride but had rode twice on two different days, So we stopped a passing worker and explained the situation and she took him to the front of the line, checked his height and seen he was tall enough to ride so she took us to the front of the line (since we had to get out of line in the first place knowing he was tall enough) she was absolutely wonderful! My point is all of the ride attendants need to be on the same page and learn how to properly check heights! Same with lifeguards! Not sure if they aren t properly trained or what! They took out all of the water rides! But the water park is great and has something for the whole family. Fury and copperhead strike are great roller coasters but you have to rent a locker or leave your bags with someone. But all other rides have bins to store your things which I don t understand I guess it s just a way to get more money! Food is expensive so we always pack a cooler with food and go to the car and eat or eat after we leave. The souvenir cups are a great investment, we bought the $30 cups and you get free refills every 15 minutes all season, but they do offer free water all over the park. It gets very hot so we normally get there when they open at 10 and ride all of the rides then go to the water park as hardly any of the rides have lines we also go during the week too. It s better to buy tickets online instead of at the park as there s always a line. Bag checking can take a little long depending on the time. Overall we ve had fun and enjoyed family time. Would rate more stars if the staff would all be on the same page.

Overall in my opinion theme parks are money pits (thank goodness for the free water ). I take my fam(Age range HS and Elmen) once or twice a year. We all have season passes (gold for parking and silver worth it if going more than once and you get your card at entrance while entering the park) It is definitely an all day adventure depending on the crowds. Majority of the time we are able to ride each ride twice... which isn't bad. Water park feature is nice during the summer but crowded. Rides: My suggestion ride the older rides first like Intimidator, Afterburn (front only). Newer rides Copperhead and saving the best for last FURY (no storage bins are available for your valuables you will have to rent a locker prior to riding on the Fury this is another reason to save the best for last). Besides once you ride the FURY all the other rides feel like carnival rides .

It was ok but I drove from Atlanta for a day of fun. Just for us to get stuck on two rides and the newest ride was down over a sprang thumb . So it's wasn't the best experience but I had fun in a way

Dated. Not as much fun as it could be. The ride times were really short considering how few people were there that day. It's cheesy how you can bring your personal bag on most rides, except for the very newest ones. But wait! We have suspiciously convenient lockers for rent placed right by the ride entrances. That's a lame money grab. It's like an additional tax to ride the newest rides. As expected, the food is average and overpriced, but they offer free water. Attendants are friendly and the park was pretty clean.

10-12. Update! After paying for 2 season passes my wife and had to be diverted and wait in an additional line for 20 minutes while she reconfirmed her gold pass. We were met with an attitude and mindset that we were wrong. After setting the young lady straight we entered the park upset and uptight instead of being Ina mood to have fun. Horsecrap!!!
