We enjoyed Carowinds as visitors from Tennessee, but there needs to be more signs directing people where certain attractions are located. The paths aren't clearly laid out even when following the park map. Despite that one "flaw", our family of three had a good time. Clean restrooms, good restaurant selection. I have to say Dollywood beats it by a mile, though.

It's a long day and impossible to get it all in( with a 3 and 11 yr old anyway) in one day. But very clean and the staff was helpful. Rides where awesome and a good mix of older and younger kids compatible. We're all beat but had a great time!

Carowinds is one of my favorite go to places, I have been going since I was very young. Now I have 2 children, and as a family of 4 there is fun for all ages! It has been updated. I love everything about Carowinds except the high priced food. I wish the could incorporate some more affordable eating places, besides that I like everything about it.

I've been in Charlotte my whole life, and I've been going to Carowinds as long as I can remember. It holds a special place in my heart. I remember when Paramount ran the park, and before that. The park has never been so high quality as it has been since Cedar Parks took over. I was happy the day I heard the news, and they haven't disappointed (Except losing Whitewater Falls and Thunder Road, but what can you do). Fury 325 is amazing, and the new Copperhead Strike is a blast. I have 4 year old kids, and they have plenty for them to enjoy as well. Keep up the great work!

Amazing place and got a free dippin dot :D nice staff and good food but slightly crowded with loud rides. I Recommend the waterpark (carolina harbor) because it has great ride for such a small area. A wave pool, 3 drop slides, one very fun slide that has a halfpipe and many good ones like a high speed slide and a raft ride. And to top it off, a decently sized lazy river. Very good service

First time visiting this amusement park and we will most definitely be back. The variety and number of roller coasters was fantastic. There was many other numerous rides for those that are not roller coaster enthusiast. There is also a specific section for children, Charlie brown theme. Lastly, there is a water park. It is small by nature but has 2 wave pools that were awesome. Two things to note. 1. As in most places like this, food ands drinks are excessively expensive. Go online and look at the dining and beverage plans. 2. There is so much to see and do, especially if you want to ride all the rides, visit the water park and see shows, I would highly recommend doing a 2 day pass. It is virtually impossible to do it all!

Completely overcrowded! Been here four hours and only been able to get on two rides, one of which was the kids swings. We have the gold pass which makes it pretty much free and you still won t catch me doing this ever again.

Alot of water rides were down and it was extremely hot. Drinks are extremely expensive. Alot of the rides dont have anything to shield you from the sun so it is miserable standing in line. They could really take some cues from other parks. Universal studios and islands of adventure in Florida have indoor wait lines and air conditioned. And if you are outside you arent directly in sun. All in all our day was good, we got on the rides pretty easily as long as they have more than one cart going.

The rides were really fun and the waits were not that long, but if you are remotely bigger do not go. I went with my plus sized cousin their and we waited for about three hours for three separate rides all of which she could not fit in. I had fun with the rides I went on but I felt really bad that she waited so long just to not fit, and she s really not that big. In all three rides there we at least two people in each that were unable to fit. Luckily we got a full refund but I feel like they should make the rides more plus sized friendly. The rides I was able to ride were very fun though so just beware.

I've been going here since I was a teenager! We took our kids there and most recently took our granddaughter. It was just as much fun now as it was then. I even rode the Fury 325 and I have to say, for a 56 year old woman I was so proud of myself!!! All of the rides were so much fun and the Park itself is amazing!!

The rides were fun but I really feel parking should not be $20 and be included with the price for admission as expensive already as it is. The restrooms were nasty and there were only a few employees that were actually nice. Most employees acted like they hated their job, no smiles or anything. There was no communication between any employees either when customers were trying to find out when rides were gonna reopen after the rain . Way too expensive

Me and hubby went, not our thing. We don t ride roller coasters and we walked around the whole park within 35 min. The park is for kids, not adults. Take kids if your going to go unless your riding roller coasters all day, thanks but no thanks!

I love the park but they are understaffed. It took 45 minutes to get on one of the kids rides and only had one girl working the whole line. Meaning she was buckling and unbuckling, speaking on the speaker, checking heights, and starting rides. Also had two rides stop working while we were there. Also on kids swing ride they didn t fill all of the swings. Eight swings were empty and had kids still waiting to get on and girl talking instead of doing her job. Also a lot of drink stands were closed causing long lines at the only places they had open. Prices are extremely high. We decided to go with meal plans and drink plan but they need to include more for meal plan you have to wait 4 hours in between each time you eat which is kind of stupid in my opinion. Maybe they should do a 1 to 2 hours space but that s just crazy. Other than that I love it. They just need to step it up a bit.

I was so disappointed with my whole experience. Carowinds is not what I remembered it to be. We actually went for scarowinds and it was absolutely packed. Just to get to the entrance on the main road took almost an hour. There was no one to guide us for parking it was basically every man for himself. People were making parking spots. When we finally got into the park we got in line for the inrimidator and it was supposedly a two hour wait. The scary walk through were OK and the actors did a good job but I feel like I paid way to much for what I got. I understand you can get the quick pass and stuff but it was already expensive with general admission. I also understand you have to wait at amusement parks but two hours is ridiculous especially when you only have about two and a half hours to enjoy anything. I hope to try regular carowinds one day when it is a bit slower. Hopefully it will be better?

Fantastic theme park, the crowds are ridiculous x 10. I always have to go on days where they are less but then a fair portion of the rides are closed down to save cost I presume. Scarowinds is cool in theory but is so crowded you end up standing in line for 85% of the time. The haunts are ok but shuttle you through so fast to try and accommodate the crowed issue. The guys scaring out in the scare zones is the most entertaining part. It s hilarious to see strangers get scared! The cost is wayyyyy too high but with the gold pass it does make it worth it to do one time a year. Go early in the season or forget it!

Season pass holders here and love every second of it. Pure fun at every corner! They have tons of coasters and thrill rides. My favorite part is the wave pool at the water harbor. We had my little girls birthday party there and she had a BLAST! We rented a tent near the pool for the day and had food delivered. It was awesome.

Pros: clean and nice scenery, rides themselves are fun. Got tickets for a good price by buying them before the season started.

Cons: last time we went was fine, but this time wasn't so great. The park wasn't actually that crowded, but lines were pretty long due to: too many fast lane people and ride operators moving very slowly. When we waited for the electro-spin, it took an average of 8.5 minutes to load and unload each time. I think maybe the operators were new because it's early in the year.

Rides were down multiple times today. Also the app doesn't show wait times even though it says it does. However, the TVs showed wait times that were completely inaccurate. At one point it was advertising other rides as "zero wait" when they were really 45min to an hour.

The biggest problem is that lines just moved really slowly, even though they weren't that long. It really sucks to have finally inched towards the front and then 8 people with one of those expensive passes get to go first.

Maybe it was just a weird day, but I just wasn't impressed.

The rides here are a lot of fun. The new Copper Head ride is very fast and is full of loops and corkscrews. Fury is still one of my favorites. That initial drop is so exhilarating and the line is never long. I think the longest I have waited in the line was for 30 minutes tops. I like that they added live music. The water park can ge a little gross in the tidal zone area but it is a water park.

Awesome amusement park. This place is super expansive and filled with things to do for people of all ages. I m a roller coaster person myself, and the rides here are super. I m definitely planning on coming back with more friends of mine! It makes a great day trip if you re in North or South Carolina.

It was awesome I Copperhead strike it said it was an 85 minute wait but it was actually a 40-minute wait to do it like when there was 40 people in front of me it was awesome but the parks go clean and I love it so y'all should come to.

Over priced and we waited over 2 hours for 1 ride. Watched others with the (quick pass) go by us 3 times on tbe same ride. We also spent 100.00 bucks on 3 slices of pizza 4 drinks and a chicken leg. To be expected i guess. Also they shut the park down because of a thunderstorm and no reimbursement for the next day.

I love Carowinds and I had an awesome time to last time we went. We went on the 4th of July and they had fireworks and everything. It was freaking awesome oh, I have been going since I was a kid. The only thing that I would change is that they keep changing the names of the rides so it kind of confuses me and I don't know which rides are which anymore until I see them. Plus they have taken out the water rides that I really really loved so that kind of broke my heart when I saw that because I remember having so much fun on the raft thing that went around a half circle and then went down really fast and everyone got really wet it was awesome! I wish they'd still had those rides. And also on the 4th of July when we went, the water park closed really really early and I had went and bought a bathing suit and everything so I was kind of upset about that because we only got like 5 minutes in the water park. Just enough to get a little wet and cool off. Other than that the rides are awesome! I love that new ones that they have I forget what it's called but I love all of the really tall roller coasters in the ones that go upside down and even some of the old rides. But they do need to do some work on some of the rides because I am a woman who is 5 feet and 4 in and my head got knocked around really bad on a couple of those rides because I am shorter and my husband's did not because he is a lot taller than me and his head came out of the top of the thing that comes down and keeps you in. So I would have some more cushioning or something because after I got off of those rides I had a major headache and my neck really hurt and I think I got a small concussion. So it wasn't all great but in all we had a lot of fun. I love the arcades also. The games are fun but I think they need a few more. It needs a little work but overall Carowinds is pretty fun at least for the money that we paid because we got a very good discount because my husband is a member of the credit union. Also, we got a discount on top of that I believe so it was only like $30 a person. They also need to have some more food options in there. Overall it was pretty much the same as I remember. They just need to work on it some or not charge as much if they're going to leave it the way that it is.

Carowinds is a lot if fun for all ages. Our kids love it! Shows were great. Warning: Be careful going at non peak times...line waits are great but they do not fully staff the park shutting down rides. It's not always worth going then.

The playground needs to be monitored by an employee. Adults and big kids constantly use the Associate Access only door as a short cut to the bigger kids playground. It's bad enough adults cant close the front door behind them, but with no one stopping anyone, the employee door to the big kids area is constantly left open. While at Carolina Harbor, I noticed employees enforcing the employee only doors that connect different areas...but not the playground. As expensive as tickets are, youd think the park would consider the safety of its smaller patrons.

The new Camp Snoopy is super cute. I worked for 4 years at the original one in California at Knott s Berry Farm and that one is much better. Only giving 2 stars because Carowinds does not provide any enclosed air conditioned restaurants. This is ridiculous when it is 90 degrees and 90% humidity. Children need a respite from the heat!!!

Nice, clean park. Went on a day that was over 100 deg, so didn't get to experience everything. Will likely return when the cooler weather is back. Crowds weren't too bad, although some coasters had long lines. Good mix of activities for kids and adults alike.

This park was a blast! All of the employees were very friendly and helpful. The walk ways were wide enough that navigating a double stroller wasn't at so difficult. The bathrooms were clean and there were plenty of family restrooms. Snoopy's Campground was a perfect fit for my two kids (3 years and 18 months); both of them were able to ride everything except the little roller coaster in that area. We also enjoyed the Great pumpkin patch that's currently set up for fall. Over all it was a great experience and we'll definitely go back!

I've been to a dozen other amusement parks and Carowinds is a great time. I found it a bit more affordable than Six Flags and it still had the same "bang for your buck."

I must also say that I got the "Fast Lane Pass Plus" which costs more than the daily tickets themselves, but my son and I rode all the popular rides 5 times before a "Non-Fast Lane Pass Plus rider" could get through the line once. This is no exaggeration. My son and I rode each rollercoaster 5-15 times each depending on how much we liked them and there was NEVER a wait. We immediately got on the next ride. These passes were totally worth it. Especially if you only plan to go one day.

(Btw, I think Fury 325 is the absolute best rollercoaster I have ever been on. Smooth, thrilling, and a longer ride than most. Cooperhead Strike comes in 2nd and Intimidator comes in 3rd. There are 14 coasters in total!)

Carowinds also offers rides for the younger kids, but I couldn't really comment on them since my son said, "Dad, those are for little kids!" They still looked legit, so there is something for most ages.

Part of her birthday present. Lines moved quick. This is a good place for roller coaster
Rides. Not alot of other rides. There is a show inside one of building ,set up as theatre. These young men are spectacular.
I think it was best part of visit. Be prepared to spend some money for food, drinks and in gift shop. They are expensive. Pictures of all people are taken on roller coasters. We bought one. This one was for memories.
If you are a big fan of roller coasters this place is for you. Be prepared to walk a distance from parking lot to entrance.

Well it was alot of fun until the end when a loose stone fell on my nephew's leg and hurt him and we were never compensated for this injury as chaperones. I wish they would have done something for my wife and I who took our niece and nephew to have a good time and ended up having a miserable ending.

Carowinds is one of our ABSOLUTE favorite year round weekend activities. We have purchase seasons passes for four years now, and every year Carowinds gets better and better. New and up to date rides, great staff and security, and seasonal celebrations, shows, and great family events take place all year round that are must sees for not only Charlotte area locals and the QCs visitors. Scarowinds and Winterfest are both a MUST! Parking is usually a breeze (free with a gold pass) when the park just opens and theres a nice park in Snoopyville for parents with infants, toddlers, and younger children all with designated areas for play so your little ones don't get trampled over by young kids. If you're getting a pass plan on buying the meal deal that comes with three meals per day and the all year round free refill cups!

I mean, its a cool place. But the lines are too long and the food is way too expensive. I maybe only rode 4 rides out of the entire day and lunch was some very sad nachos with only cheese. Disappointing place to say the least.

My kids love going here. If you have ever been you know there is plenty of stuff for the entire family to enjoy. It can get a bit expensive as any amusement park do but they have create ways to help families save. Most people know about the season pass but if you don t please get one if you plan to attend more than once you actually could save money and they even have a payment plan option with no credit check if you purchase online. The earlier in the year you get your season pass the cheaper it is. They also have meal and drink plans. This year I got my kids season passes and added in the season meal and season drink plan( these can also be paid with on a payment plan if you purchase at the time of the season pass). With the meal plan they can eat lunch and dinner at the park when they go without paying and with the drink plan they get unlimited drinks. This is ideal if you have a season pass and plan on Using it often. They also offer all day meal plans for those who don t need to purchase season meal plan. This plan is fairly inexpensive in the grand scheme of things and you are able to eat every four hours. Carowinds is really trying to Make the park more affordable for families and I can appreciate that.?

I went online and got the all day drinking cups, eating pass, parking pass and unlimited rides pass for 3 kids only to get there and like 5 rides were closed. I think my kids rode 1 ride twice and one other and they were bored ready to go. The passes were a waste!
