Good management and staff ; food isn't bad either.

I love this place and if you don't get the pork belly know that you messed up!!

Superb fusion styled food between burgers, Mexican and bar

Perfect spot to grab a quick bite, or have a relaxing meal outdoors!

We had the Smoky Pork and Spicy Mac tacos and although it sounds like an odd combination it was delicious. The garlic fries were also great!

Great spot for a light oceanside light meal and/or drinks. Had the carnitas tacos - no regrets!

Very reasonably priced menu for embarcadero, open air restaurant. Piped outdoor music a bit loud. Coffee is meh. Great views of San Diego Bay. People watching good. Trolley stops at the curb.

Location is beautiful...but where is the snack shack quality food we loved? The food now is no where near the same quality it was at the north park location. We ordered and paid $10 for the shack fries, but we re told there was no bacon ketchup and were not offered another substitute?!! The smoked pig sandwich was so tiny for $12. Wish it tasted like it was actually smoked all day long. Truly missed the stables of the triple threat and steak sandwich.
Also, the floor area was dirty. There was limes and trash left on the floor from other customers.
Would only EVER come back for the view and the bar. Bartenders were great and made a great margarita.

Busy outside bartenders seem to get lost at their jobs. Takes awhile to get noticed and served

Delicious food, great location on the harbor. Live music some nights. Downfall is the bar service, very very slow and they don't pay much attention to customers.

I have enjoyed my time there, because of the backgound music and a nice view, but the food (fish taco) was not that great and Margarita in a cheap plasric cup was $12.

I ordered an B.L.T. and a chicken finger kid meal. Bacon is good (crisp!), chicken fingers are great tease even when it is cold.

The menu is great with all meat items. The food is delicious. It is located next to the B Street Pier.

Great food and very accommodating for Celiac Disease!

We went on a flagship cruise around the bay and afterwards needed some food. The service was quick, they had a special on fish tacos, very enjoyable for this Quick Bite.

A good effort... I got the triple pork sandwich. Parts of mine, however, where dried out/hard... probably due to overcooking/exposure to heat.

The burger was big, juicy, and tasty. Down by the harbor, so, a little more expensive for fast food.

Very rich .. But very bad service of the employees ...

The food is definitely good and it comes out pretty fast. I shared the carnitas tacos and a fish sandwich (daily special). They were both pretty good flavor and quantity.

The chips & guac are also worth the try.

The seating, an outside area overlooking the bay with an outdoor bar, only makes things better.

Decent food and chill outside bar on harborfront. First place you see when deboarding cruise ships & downtown, so expect tourist prices.

We live nearby and we have come for happy hour at CSShack. So I was excited to try out the menu. I decided today I would go for lunch. I googled reviews and saw the pictures on Piece of pork carnitas blog. The chicken sandwich looked awesome. What I got home and opened up was not. There was one 1/4 inch thick at most piece of dry chicken. That tasted like it was sitting under a heat lamp or re fried. Bitter and dry. The bun was stale and definately dry. Choking down dry stale bitter chicken and bread. It looked nothing like the picture. What a disappointment and a waste of money. Unfortunate I was looking forward to having a new lunch spot.

Hands down some of my the best carnitas you can get for a fair price. The outdoor patio eating is pleasant and the food and service are always 'on'.

Bought a few overpriced drinks and their entire credit system went down just after. My family as a result couldn't get food. With 3
Th kids this was not ideal. My wife wanted to ogo elsewhere to get food. The bartender declined to help and screamed at my wife saying we was too busy.

Terrible example of customer service when their restaurant failed to offer purchase options.

We stopped here after touring the midway. There's no inside portion of the restaurant. You walk up and order at the counter and then sit outside with a number and someone brings you your food. Given the location, it seemed like one of those restaurants that gets decent local and tourist traffic. The food was pretty good but it was a windy day so the food cooled pretty quick. I got the mahi mahi tacos and would definitely get them again. We also shared the carnitas queso fries that were probably better than we realized but as mentioned they cooled really fast and weren't all that great once cold; which isn't the restaurant's fault but still disappointing. I would definitely give it another try and recommend friends to try it.

Awesome outdoor bar with a great view of the harbor. Don't wait in the line to order food. Grab a drink and order food at the bar. They will bring it out to you. The triple threat is a great sandwich, but the best buy is the steak sandwich. Great food!

Nice place by the harbor/ embarcadero to grab a couple of drinks and some food. The music is a bit loud when eating brunch or lunch but they at least they play good music. The food is good but they could work a bit on the sauces. They are a bit underwhelming. Additional sauces on the side would have been welcomed. Skip the Mac & Cheese. It was not any better than what you get out of a box.

Love coming here for hearty tacos, outdoor seating, and gorgeous bayside scenery. Bar drinks/seating available. Live music on weekends. Fresh guacamole. Awesome garlic fries. Not sure why shrimp tacos were taken off menu though. No matter, always a nice relaxing time here.

This place lived up to the reviews, great food and service. The food was served super fast and tasted delicious. We had the triple threat, it was good but not amazing. The pulled pork sandwich was incredible and I highly recommend it. We also tried the Shack fries and the garlic fries, both were very delicious. Great place to grab a meal and enjoy the view.

If you're Mexican so you do not forget good Mexican food

Lots of great food, not too pricey, and lovely views of the San Diego skyline on the one side and the waterfront on the other side. The burger and the tacos in particular are amazing.

Good food and attentive staff. Outdoor seating only but they do have heaters for chilly days. A good place to eat if you are visiting the Midway or taking a harbor cruise as it is right next to these attractions.

Great food for a great price good customer service. I was there at lunchtime got the food really quick and you can taste the freshness.

Two words. Pork. Belly. It's freaking delicious. Addictive, even. We've eaten there twice now, and the tacos are just as incredible as the pork belly platter we got both times. You can't go wrong. Cole slaw was unique, with a kick that made us devour it immediately! All the sides have had so far have been stellar. Casual, fun, with amazing scenery as it is right next to the Midway on the boardwalk. We may have to go 3 for 3!

Probably the best sausage sandwich I've ever eaten. I'm not a religious man, but if there is an afterlife, these guys are catering the 'good' side breakfast.

We only tried the pork rinds, and they were good! It came with a delicious tomatillo salsa.

I like the place 3 tacos and mamosa $14 . Pork theme was cute. Always has line at lunch and weekends.

If you're in the area walking and having fun get some food here its worth it.

I'll say I miss the old location but this location on the water is pretty great. Food is consistent, service was excellent and you just can't beat the outdoor seating. The manager came by at least 3 times checking in. Thanks for that sir

The food was serviceable. The employees were exceptionally nice. It was a good distance from the USS Midway Museum so it's a good place to stop.

Only went to this outside bar for drinks, but went back two eves running. Only six beers on draft but these are thoughtfully chosen. Nice little boozer

Very nice view, located right on the Broadway terminals. Very tasty snacks, friendly staff. Very spacious, all with views of the pier and the museum.

The price is cheap.
It's kind of like a hotel breakfast.
