We ate giant breakfast burritos here, and they were amazing. This place is outside which allows for a nice ambience. It's definitely part bar, so I think it get a bit wilder throughout the day but in the morning it was very chill. We also got coffee here.

I've eaten here seveal times and they're never consistent. I always order the canitas fries. The fries are really salty and even when I've asked for light seasoning Im never given light seasoning. Sometimes its really good, most of the time the fries are old and cold. The staff are mostly really young and rude. A few are sweet. Im sure no one will care because its a tourist spot and really the only place thats quick and not a sit down place so the business is there regardless. I'll pass going forward. Its really sad because when the food is fresh its really really good. But no one wants cold fries with any meal.

Recommend by a friend of ours. The food was delicious and our food was brought out quick. Our server not only answered our questions about the local area but was also very polite. I will surely be back when I'm in San Diego.

It started out great. Server had us sit and she took our order. She got us blankets because it was very cold and windy. The food took forever. Way too long, almost 30 minutes. I think the pork sandwich was okay. I thought the tacos were flavorless and dry. The burger looked good and was huge but not sure if it was good. Online menu says tortas but they don t have them.

Went with my girlfriend today around 6 pm, before we could even eat, a massive argument between customer and employee breaks out. It almost turned into a massive brawl. Then to top it off the manager comes out screaming, some fat white chick, didnt get her name , but she starts putting her hands on the customer. Thats a HUUUUUUGE no no. Then she goes on to scream at all of her employees horrible managment. She did this infront of multipe customers including ourselves. Resturants on the pier should hold themselves to higher standards, but resturants in Detroit have better managment than this place. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Nice outdoor bar close to attractions like the USS Midway and a great view of the harbor, but the food isn't particularly amazing. Like a lot restaurants in prime locations, proximity to local attractions and booze can make up for mediocre food. If you're hungry while waiting for a Hornblower cruise, or just want to grab a drink or to while exploring the waterfront it's a good choice, but just a litter further south you have better food options in Seaport Village.

Ordered the carnitas tacos - delicious! It s two tacos but you get a huge amount of pork topped with guacamole and pico de Gallo.

Only outdoor seating available and they have an outdoor bar. It was chilly the day I dined but they have outdoor heaters going. Still cold though.

Not to be confused with the old North Park location.

I'd like to amend my review to respond to the owners inquiry.

When I say not to be confused with the original location, I simply meant I had a hell of a time getting there as Yelp and Google search referenced both locations with no indication that the original was closed.

3 stars is a neutral review as I only had a quick PBR draft on account of the chilling onshore breeze and rain.

I hope to amend this review once again when I get a chance to sample the food which comes highly recommended by esteemed chow hounds.

This is an it spot for CARNITAS! It s definitely a must try food spot. It s always a surprise what s on the menu but you can t go wrong with any of it. Everything is made to order the food is delicious and you can never go wrong with pairing it with a great craft beer. If your here to visit or just want to try out something delicious add this to your list.

Great lunch option on the Embarcadero! I walked over while attending a conference at the convention center and enjoyed the Triple Threat. I liked that the food was served quickly and the outdoor seating. I deducted a star because schintzel in my sandwich tasted like it had been fried earlier in the afternoon, which did detract from the sandwich. I would like to return and try the tacos.

What a cool little spot! Located right on the embarcadero near Broadway. We stopped in for a snack. I didn't expect such a cool vibe. It is more hipster and has great music and you can even dance on the sand. Outdoor seating, great food and drinks with some very creative and fun bartenders. It seemed like a regular spot for a lot if people. All outside so visit in warm weather.

This new Carnitas Snack Shack location is great! The staff as very informative and friendly. Despite being very busy we were attended to quickly and accurately. The carnitas tacos were delicious and full size. The fish tacos are not battered, but blackened which when combined in your mouth with the slaw, provides a flavor, fresh yet smokey contrast. The craft beers are $8.00 and cocktails are $12.00 except during happy hour which is typically after 6pm. 5 stars due in most part to the great service from the staff. The food is delicious, drinks priced fairly given the location, the ambience is great for unwinding after work (or a long cruise ride).
P.s. - I forgot to mention that they have a Sunday brunch!

What a wonderful place to stop and have a taco and a drink. The views of the harbor and shops all around was a great view. The staff was friendly and helpful with information in the surrounding area. Also the tacos were the best tasting.

This place is dead to me. The quality of the food compared to the original location is horrendous. It's no longer the snack shack we grew to love. The original owners sold the rights and have no affiliation with this place anymore and it shows. Good for tourists who want to overpay for the location. The food is somewhat decent I guess for the peeps who never had the real snack shack. I won't be going back, ever.

So much better than expected. Good food and options on menu, and you can have your food either at the tables or by the water. Great view, and that's the Monster BTL on the photos, huge sandwich.

Live music, people watching people, delicious food and drinks to die for and it's by the water. If you are a people person you get to meet people from all over the world and some great Californias too!
