Justin is one of a kind. Most relatable and reliable therapist I have seen thus far. He helped me conquer my anxiety and is helping me conquer my depression. He's so down to earth very understanding and non-judgemental. I have been on a path of destruction since 2014. This year I finally decided enough was enough, i was losing my mind. I met Justin and my life has drastically changed because of him. My anxiety is CONTROLLED depressing is subsiding all because of you Justin. Thank you Justin.

Just wanted to drop a long overdue note expressing my gratitude to and my admiration for Care Plus for all the help and kindness offered to me since I first came in for guidance.
I owe particular thanks and appreciation to my counselor Gabby Urato. She has helped me come from a very dark place filled with confusion and self-doubt to a place of strength, determination, and self-respect. Her persistence and encouragement as well as her willingness to listen then comment at the right moment was an enlightenment to me. She has helped me through personal difficulties and other life obstacles with complete selflessness. She is an amazing life guide!
I realize that Gabby is exceptional but all my experience with Care Plus has been more than I ever hoped for. The very professional staff always was kind and helpful. I was always treated with respect. I was never made to feel out of place; I was always welcomed and made to feel at ease. I owe this organization much and am forever in their debt.
Thank You Care Plus!

Their strategy for getting an appointment is ridiculous. You are supposed to call 2 wks prior but if you wait for that designated time, there is no availability and you run the risk of your medication running out. As an alternate they offer a different doctor that does not know my child and/or a mid-day appointment that entails me taking a day off of work and pulling her out of school.

I've been to many doctors and not once have I found the process to set up an appointment this painful. You call their admin office, give in all your personal and insurance info, and then they tell you you'll give u a call back soon. Ended up waiting 2 days for a call back. Missed the call by a few seconds, so I called them back, ended up taking over half an hour of calling and 20 missed calls. Then I finally get them on the line, tell them I want a psychiatric evaluation, and then they tell me they want me to spend another 15-20 min on the phone answering questions.

I understand why they do this, it's to free up time for their doctors. But in my experience, they end up asking you all of these questions again when you actually come in. And I find it extremely inefficient calling an admin office instead of the branch I'd like to make an appointment at. Definitely cheap cost cutting measures.

Update- Made an appointment, and had to wait nearly two months. My followup appointment was set for two weeks later, and on the day of, the doctor called out sick and I was told I would have to wait 3 more weeks for an appointment. I tried to call them to switch my doctor to get an earlier appointment, was told that I would have to wait till the next day for the doctor to come in, so that they could confer with her to do so, and never received a call back. Lastly, the secretaries are rude, and become disgruntled and jaded when you ask them simple things, like setting up an appointment. Calling care plus is also an enormous hassle, as you have to call their headquarters, select an option, then go through an operator, who will transfer you. Even after that, they never seem to pick up, and you have to leave a message and wait for whenever they feel like calling you back.

Wow...the reviews are terrifying. For anyone that is struggling with adverse mental health issues this is crazy making at it's best. The facility is suppose to serve and help, not frightened the heck out of people in the first impressions.

I recently had an appointment for counseling at Care Plus for some mental health Covid related issues. The waiting room was unsanitary and stifling. While I was waiting persons who I assume were mentally ill wandered in and out without masks or any concern for social distancing. The person at the front desk just kept asking me for my insurance information and wanted to charge my credit card for the copay. After waiting 15 minutes in what I felt was an unsafe room I left. A week later my credit cared was charged. Now I can not even find anyone to speak to about it. I did not leave feeling better instead I felt worse and more anxious about the virus and confinement. Avoid this place at all costs they are not safe in times of Covid or caring about people that need help.

Be very careful of this place! Make sure you actually review all the alternatives before resorting to this place that s supposed to helping people! Be sure to look at where the 5 star ratings are coming from! Need to make a appointment? Well good luck with that!

I had to chose this place because I was forced to do to insurance reasons and location! I did not require therapy, nor have I ever had a desire to pursue it. Due to unfortunate circumstances I was required to go. After the long wait of actually having a therapist assigned to me I began going and was put with a therapist in Fairlawn. After attending the therapy for while I decided to no longer use the therapist I was seeing (can not currently list reasons why) and decided to make a change. After this experience, for the first time in my life I felt like I needed therapy to get past the therapy I had just experienced! Due to me firing the therapist, I was made aware of the fact it would be a long time before they d be able to find me another one! (Hmmmm). I will disclose the reasons why at a later date!

It s amazing the owner would want to speak to me after months pass. If it where a professional place, it wouldn t take a owner months and over 1000 views of a very poor review to want to reach a client and address their issues!

Final advice, use this facility only as a very last resort!

Honestly the worst place to get treated. The psychiatrists don t do anything but take your vitals and prescribe you medication without any background information. They make it IMPOSSIBLE to make an appointment. I asked my psychiatrist to help me find a therapist four times, and they never did.

This place is a life saver. I am a patient of the maternal & family center, and it has helped me in more ways than I can ever explain. I am always responded to as soon as I call, and never have an issue with appointments. And they have matched me with the perfect therapist karen & psychiatrist dr Finch. This place is a game changer

If you're trying to better yourself, mentally, I can't not recommend any other place more than this place. I started therapy in April of 2018 paying out of pocket due to a lapse in my insurance. in June of 2018 an appointment was set up for me on October 30th at 930am with a psychiatrist. In July of 2018 my insurance was valid again, so I supplied Care Plus with my insurance information. The following day they call me telling me they need to change my therapist due to my insurance not covering who I was seeing, no problem. They tell me they'll call back in a day or two once they figure it out. I never got a call back. I had tried calling multiple times and each time my call went to voicemail and was not returned. On October 30th I arrived at 925 and walked in for my appointment, to be met with "You're 25 minutes late, we can't take you" because they had changed my appointment with informing me about it. I spent the next 2 days on the phone with Mary-Ann, a VP in the facility, explaining to her all the hassle this facility has caused me, and she seemed to be understanding about it. We left off on the last day we spoke (November 1st) saying that she would set me up with a new therapist that my insurance covers, as well as getting me an appointment for a psychiatrist that wasn't so far out (at the time the earliest time they had available was the end of December). I told her if she needed a day or two to work things out, that is fine, but just to make sure I wasn't forgotten. Fast forward to January 22nd. I still haven't received a call back from Mary-Ann, who is now not returning my calls and was told if I want to see a psychiatrist I need to go back into therapy for 3 months, due to how long it's been since I was there last. I received a letter today, January 22nd, that was post marked on December 11th, saying that due to me not reaching out to them, they will be closing my case on December 10th.

For the love of god, do not go here.

I have never been so disgusted with a place in my entire life!! I had a family vacation in Mexico back in May of this year had scheduled an appointment for my 14-year-old for June so when we got back we could go and get her medication etc. I received a phone call from Care Plus stating that they needed to cancel my appointment meanwhile my daughter needed her medication refilled one but two I was in Mexico, Which they were well aware of !!! They called and called and called to constantly be told by an automated system I am the first in line and never ever once did anybody pick up I finally got in touch with somebody after leaving multiple messages on a prescription line and they called in a partial refill for my daughter! Dr. Ragheb was supposed to get back to me and never did to make an updated appointment! I can t explain to you how many times I called how many times it took me to get in touch with somebody who then would say they would give a message to him or her s his secretary that was never in never once did I get a call back never could I barely get a hold of anyone and left multiple messages I mean 20 at least !!!! Then I get a letter from them stating that my daughters file was closed because of the fact we never made appointments to come in! This is a crazy joke of a place even my psychiatrist explained to me how he reached out multiple times and could never get anybody on the phone live!!!! The excuses of the system being down for almost two years now is a joke! Now my 14-year-old who has been on heavy medication daily has nowhere to go at the moment and no medication refills coming up!! I m having an extremely hard time finding a psychiatrist for a 14-year-old who excepts our CIGNA insurance so God for bid something happens to her, these people are in deep deep you know what!! I have contacted a lawyer even!!!
Needless to say I have a recommended this place to two other people who are also having difficulty!
DO NOT GO HERE OR PUR ANY OF UR BEAUTIFUL KIDS THROUGH SUCH and professionalism! It really is a DMV for medical !!!!!!!

All Careplus suck ,Fair Lawn is Worst!!! Extremely unorganized, management sucks, underpaid, and employees are not honored for their hard work. Employees focus on brown nosing their way to the top. Careplus is a disgrace more like a high school. The job turnover here is extremely high for reasons obvious. Service sucks, billing sucks and alot of two faces employees not a good working atmosphere. No advancement unless you brown nose like most do to advance. My experience was horrible wouldn't recommend to work or receive services. :)

I've got all good things to report about this group. Counseling with Allyson really helped me with my life- job, relationship, and anxiety.... and medical counseling with Kristan Louis was super helpful.

This place is very disorganized and poorly run. They keep changing my medication and my therapist. It is awful , all they want to do is ask me my weight and check boxes on their screening questions. Nope I do not feel better I will look elsewhere .

They're the worst. [Care Plus NJ 610 Valley Health Plaza, Paramus, NJ]. They lied and said they take Medicare but they still bill you ) of course I never paid Kathleen DeMeers). They work only for the agenda of the US government to diagnose patients as mere "patient is a chronic complainer"..."lazy patient" and "patient is a whiner". In the American medical industry they are regarded "primary patient slanderers" and they are against the patient. Don't go to them and never pay any of their bills. The worst social worker is Kathleen DeMeers who is supposedly "licensed" and a social worker. In fact all Ms DeMeers will denigrate and degrade you to your face. I question Care Plus's motives. All they do is try to illicit confessions out of patients which typical in the US. The first thing they tell you is "the medicine your physician is prescribing you is bad and we want you get off of it" also typical of American fraudulent medical practices. They get government dollars for doing that. I complained in writing against them to all the appropriate agencies and I complained on Ms DeMeers in writing and I named and shamed Care Plus NJ in Paramus NJ. They will stack slanderous false diagnosis's against you. That's what bad doctors call "stacking" and doctors in America do that mostly against low-income citizens to intimidate the patient to make the patient pay more money. Don't pay the medical bills- name them and shame them so they will not have enough patients.

Consistent bad experiences. Whether it's with cancelling appointments or billing errors or unfriendly receptionists, I do not recommend this facility. I agree with the other poster as it being a "factory". There are better alternatives out there.

Words cannot begin to express the unique care, warm reception, and level of professional service, which my "special needs" son and I consistently receive "globally," but in particular under the respected, Dr. Lewis, her Executive Asst. Kiki, and team members.

Care Plus vision and mission to provide its patients with "outstanding" medical care and "exceptional" service is self-evident in its medical and administrative team members who unselfishly bring this vision to life daily thus positively impacting the lives of a "special" and at times "neglected" population.

We wish Care Plus continued success and blessings!

I hate this place. We're visiting Care Plus and private counselor for my son. My son goes there every week. He's 16 years old. The counselor's name is sun Kim. When we met her we told each counselors about this story. Today She asked us to choose one counselor for him. Because not good for him. We answered we need both of them . Then she asked same three times again. So i answered same three times repeat again, and we asked about appointment three times. Then she never give us appointment for him. And she asked same to my son again. My son answered "both helping me". We were tired talking for this crazy story and wasted time. It's funny!! So my son and me answered "quit" at same time.

If anyone were to ask if I recommended Care Plus NJ (Paramus), I would strongly advise them to seek another facility. Unfortunately for me, I ended up here due to my junky health care insurance (severe lack of choices). Examples of what NOT to do can be found in abundance here: difficulty in obtaining an appointment (no one answers the phone here!), difficulty in getting a message to your therapist (again - I've had many occasions where no one answers the main phone number!). Once you are actually able to get an appointment and visit, the therapists I've encountered are very nice. The billing department is yet another story though.....if I could switch to another place, I would in a flash.

I attempted to see a therapist here, but found out the person they wanted me to see was still in training or some kind of student. I was told it would be a longer wait for someone who wasn't a student. I did see a nurse practitioner who was very sweet and helpful. If I could just see her I would. Each time I was offered in person (this fall), but only went once because of the environment. I saw one person without a mask and heard someone else coughing. The bathrooms were also disgusting. After this experience I decided to switch my care to Comprehensive HealthCare and have been doing only virtual sessions so can't speak to their physical environment. Its also very hard to reach someone at care plus to try to reschedule or cancel appointments. It has the potential to be good, but just isn't what it could be.
Also Care plus staff: you won't find my name in your system. I don't wish to be contacted by you any longer.

I came to the Paramus Location and was seen by Rolando who is incredible. Unfortunately he is booked solid and I was placed on a waiting list. I asked Rolando for a letter to my Primary Care Physician stating simply that I was here today, but due to unavailability I will be placed on a waiting list. NOT TOO COMPLICATED RIGHT? The woman in the back I'm assuming the manager told me that they don't do letters like that. All they can do is give me a letter that I was here today. The receptionist was very nice as was Rolando, but that manager is in the wrong field. Behavioral Health???? Hello?? You would think THE MANAGER would have a nicer bedside manner. It was a petty issue. You're already typing the letter, you can't add 1 SENTENCE?!?!?! That is what I call inexcusable insubordination.... I give the receptionist Rolando

I was introduced to CarePlus 2 years ago with the intention to start therapy for my 9yo. After initial visit, CarePlus sent Children s Mobile to our home, and that program saved us. We were set up with weekly short term, in-home counseling. The counselor met with my son, then with me to review the session and advise. She was the best. The best! She got through to him, got through the us, and taught my family so much, specifically the Nurtured Heart Approach. To this day, we parent using the lessons learned from our time with CarePlus, and it has significantly helped us grow in all the positive ways.

Ive been a patient for about 3 years and this establishment gets more disorganized and frustrating with each passing year. Just spent 25 minutes on hold to schedule a routine appointment. I was "First in line" for 15 of these minutes. Talked to an operator who transferred me to the same line. Now I'm fourth again! Grating hold music to boot. This place is a factory with bad customer service.

I can understand some of the poor reviews. It can be a very frustrating process to get help for a mental illness but that's the state of mental illness treatment today. After "going through the process" I was given an appointment with Dr. Prince whom I ADORE. She is compassionate, thorough and mad me feel very comfortable with her soft spoken style. I can't tell you how many Psychiatrists I seen but she is the best hands down. She recommended Allison Kloss (may be Allyson not sure) for therapy and I LOVE HER! She is so bright and in tune with your emotions and can read me very well. She is also fun and lighthearted when you need her to be.

I always look for reviews when I buy or look for services but people have a tendency to rate services in haste. Yes the intake process was long and frustrating BUT it's worth it when you receive the care you need.

Care Plus works with child services which has the worst reputation for harming and taking children. Stay away from these people. Our Care Plus social workers and visitation people lied, falsified reports, intimidated us and shocked our children. Terrible.

Care Plus is certainly not following safety protocols. I saw administrative staff everywhere without masks. I heard from several other clients that there had been cases traced to Care Plus and that I should quarantine and get tested. How can they blatantly ignore the rules?

Visitation people wrote fake reviews and traumatized my children. They collaborate and collude with the division and abuse their positions. My lawyer said to make sure to get my own evaluations and to record all interactions. This will be used in your 1983 lawsuits. They work with the Hackensack office in Bergen County and will do no good and they will try to terminate parental rights so you never see your children again. They failed with us because we were lucky enough to have the best attorney in town protecting us and our children.
