Drinks and various appetizers at the bar. Wonderful! Haven't been disappointed.

I recently spent two weeks in Canada. Cardero's had the best food and service of all the restaurants I visited. We had salmon and rack of lamb. Both were excellent. The server (Dave) was superb. Even though we were 45 minutes late because of a delayed tour, the reception honored our reservation.

Great food, wonderful staff and a setting fit for a harbour. Priced to match is the only drawback.

Live Music, great ambiance, fantastic food. I think this place has the best salmon burger in Vancouver, just make sure you get it with lots of tarter sauce!

Great location. Menu should have more fish and less asian inspired. Deck is the place to be. Great servers. Five star if the menu was updated.

Beautiful place in the downtown area of the very scenic area of Vancouver. Food was excellent as is the service. Can watch float planes take off and land, watch the area around a working harbor.

One of the few places that has cognac. Love their focaccia with olive oil. Goes great with red wine. Kristy was joy as a server!!

The food is amazing and the service is too. The restaurant provides a "yacht club" esque view across the bay. The interior is filled with personality. Seriously though the food is amazing.

Great food and ambiance. This restaurant is also located in one of downtown Vancouver's most scenic areas so it is always a treat to visit.

I like this space its cozy yet not pretentious. They have a diverse menu and great staff. I was listing to some live music with my meal. The space and washrooms are clean.

I have been going to Carderos for years and I love the spot. It's in a scenic location overlooking the docks so in my opinion the patio is the best spot to be if you can get a spot.

The staff has always been awesome and no complaints there.

I can't say the food is to die for - and given the prices, I have given them a 4. I may be little biased as seafood isn't my favourite and the majority of the menu is based on seafood. It would be nice to have a few more options for those of us who don't love it. Last night we ordered about 4 appetizers plus our dinners and desert the ribs were a little over cooked. The shrimp was not available which was a disappointment but we compromised and and it was all good otherwise.

But it's really not what I come to the restaurant for...

What I can say is TO DIE FOR is the Creme Brulee. It's the best I've had in Vancouver and it's a must anytime I go there. In fact I'll go have dinner there just to have it. My daughter had the brownie and as brownie connoisseurs we weren't in love with the hint of coffee in it. Maybe we missed that on the menu or we got the wrong desert - not sure. But it was good if that is what you like...

The sangria is also wonderful.

Expect a hefty bill when you're done your meal but overall I think it's worth it for the atmosphere and desert :)

Terrific experience. The Sablefish is simply incredible - I highly recommend for seafood with a great view. Awesome service and the food will not disappoint.

I had the fresh oysters and the cedar plank salmon. The oysters were fresh, cold, and firm. Absolutely perfect. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the maple glaze was just right, especially with the rice. The views just add to the overall experience

Start with outstanding setting and fabulous views. Add great food with awesome service. I highly recommend.

A nice enough place, decent food and drinks. you're really paying for the location and the design here. We had one of the seafood platters and some drinks. Mussels and Clams were fine but I prefer cooked mussels to be served warm.

Would have been 4 stars but we ordered Caesars and the waiter assumed we wanted "regular" Caesars, rather than asking if we wanted the signature. We didn't realize there were two options until after we finished and asked him. No apology, no offer to fix it. Minus a full star for that utter failure of service.

Went in on a whim....cool exterior drew our attention. Cool vibe inside. Just sat down by the fireplace in the lounge for some quick appies. Food was really good! Service was outstanding! Best part....ended up meeting an amazing couple and engaged in a conversation covering every topic known to man. This restaurant promotes interaction with comfy seating and oceanside views and combined with the cuisine is a recipe for success. We are now part of the Cardero fan club.

Servers were high quality. No complaints about the food. Good quality. I had pizza. A bit expensive but it is waterfront! We didn't get to sit outside but inside was good.

A few months back we had a terrible dining experience here (well it was technically a series of underwhelming ones leading up to that really) after years of loyalty here....We had decided sadly to not return. HOWEVER, it was clear that they were going through some sort of transition- we did in fact return to give this establishment another try...and we were quickly won over. Not only did we return once but rather TWICE in one week with out of town guests. Carderos, you are back and boy are we glad. Excellent service, top notch food...oysters, wok squid, cedar plank salmon, halibut and even a vegan fare for one of our guests. Thank you for bringing your A game and reminding us that you guys are so worth the drive in from Surrey.

The wok squid is pretty tasty. Pizza tastes like what you get at the frozen section at super market. Menu is pretty blah.

We had a problem with my wifes order. She is lactose intolerant. Her plate was returned 3 times. Finally got it right. Good server.

The place has a great view, good food and a great vibe. Order the creme brulee and and espresso; you won't regret it.

The prices at this place make it seem fancier that it really is. They have a nice patio for the summer and they have wheelchair accessible access. It has the fun decor of the sea but the food prices don't match with the feel of the place and the food is not amazing by a long stretch. The servers are all generally nice and friendly, some of them feel like they hate the job a little and need to smile more but it's ok on the whole. Drinks are usually well made and the live music is nice in the bar in the evening.

Snuck in pretending to be looking for people that had already arrived but really just needed to drop a deuce. Bathroom was very clean.

The food was good, although small amount of vegetables.
The noise level was too loud, we could not talk comfortably.
The service was poor, we used a gift card to pay for the meal and they could not process it for a second time. This was frustrating. The waitress was rude and unhappy when we used the gift card as well.

Good food, a little on the pricey side for what you get. The Gluten Free really well

The best desert I've ever had - highly recommend their brownie, creme brule and coconut cream pie. Great ambience at night with live music and dim lighting. 1 star minus is the lobster tail wasn't that good, scallops were not bad but the shrimps were great!

Popped in for a bite and a drink with some friends. Sat in the bar area which was nice. We all had a good experience and the view of the water was great. Definitely will go back next time im in Vancouver.

Delicious food with a great, warm vibe. We were staying at the Westin right next-store. It was very busy though, I'd recommend if you are ok with it to sit in the lounge because it's seat yourself and the service is great in the lounge as well. I had the harvest salad and it was delicious! I'd recommend!

The food and service was amazing. Been here a few times now and it's always a good experience. Had the steak dinner with the garlic fries as an add on it was truly an good dinner. At start it look like the portion size is small but at the end of the mean you are so full. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

We passed this restaurant on our walk to Stanley Park. The park is pretty close to the restaurant. After a long walk around the park we came back to this restaurant for some fresh seafood. We were not disappointed. The chef's special was a treat. We also enjoyed the scallops!

Went here for dine out Vancouver and it was the best value I have gotten in dine out so far! The atmosphere was great and we were able to celebrate a big evening even while enjoying our dinner in the lounge. The food was delicious and the service was great.

Great location awesome service, fantastic food (the sablefish was a blast) - I can highly recommend it. Have been here for a birthday and they arranged a little surprise spontaneously with the desert. Not cheap, but also not expensive regarding the great quality.
