Well the service may very slightly. Cardero's is a popular watering hole with a variety of great food from fresh oysters to burgers.

My recent visit included Rack of Lamb with was tasty. Cardero's is a vancouver staple and a must visit restaurant.

I haven't been to carderos in years and was pretty excited about going. I was disappointed by my seat mid room, not a booth or even a window but a lone table like an island.

We ordered a sea food platter which was disappointing but the calamari was awesome. After some drinks I found the price to be quite unreasonable. Our server was kind, courteous and very helpful.

I always take my out-of-town guests here. This time it was my German friends! Built over the water, our table had an amazing view of the harbour and northshore mountains. The ambiance was buzzing though slightly on the loud side. Cardero's serves up a full menu, with a focus on seafood as an ingredient. Also has grass fed steaks, simple pasta or pizza, burgers or bowls, and there is still more to choose from. My favourite suggestion is a seafood platter which is fun to share while having a glass! I would says it's $$$ but worth the visit.

Cardero's was our last meal in Vancouver before heading back across the border. Our waitress was attentive and the meal was good. It wasn't the best we had in Vancouver, but it was fine. The atmosphere was warm and inviting--especially on a wet, rainy winter's day.

The hostess in front seems to be in the la la land... When we first got there was told no seats and have to wait about 1.75hrs. Then was told someone cancelled and we got seated pretty quickly. Our waiter was great and friendly. Kids ordered their own stuff and he was very good with the kids and their orders. The mussels appetizer was excellent and so was the cream clam chowder. The oyster bay white wine was not bad and my quails gate red was okay. But the rest of the main courses were rather disappointing. The pasta wife got was way too salty, my bone-in was not cooked evenly at all, and the pizza for kids just wasn't done right. Environment was nice and that's about it... Was right next to the hotel so it was great, and that's about it. Too pricey for the quality. But service was good. Not sure about ease of parking as we just walked over from hotel and not familiar with the area. Will not return unless have no where else to go.

Food amazing, our waitress amazing, the male server with spikey blonde hair extremely rude and basically an ass. There was a table of 20 of us, the waitress was tipped well. If he had been our waiter I would have left no tip.

Completely enjoyed my short rib with a trio of mushroom Fettuccine. It was one of their specials for the evening - it was amazing! And I had enough left over for two additional meals. The service that evening was also on point!

Great environment similar to Sandbar. The oyster burger I ordered was tasty but the portions were small. My wife's Salmon in the burger was cooked to perfection. The best value is the Salmon on my son's kids meal. It was the same portion as adult.

The oysters we ordered was also very fresh. Due to the price, we won't be going back very often outside of special occasions.

Great seafood and views! My wife and I came for lunch and both ordered the linguine and clams. The season was very fresh, and about 99% of the clams were properly opened. It wasn't cheap, but for the price it was a good value. A ton of clams!

My husband took me here for my birthday, and the service was terrible. We were pretty much ignored by our server the entire night. My husband even had to get up and remind the server to bring us bread, as we had been sitting at the table for over half an hour since she initially promised she would bring the bread! No one even wished me a happy birthday, despite the fact my husband let the restaurant know TWICE. I submitted a complaint online and a week later, I still haven't been contacted. Terrible service, will never go back.

Over priced and over rated, has a lot to learn from its brethren in Queen E park. Bolognese was watery and lacking flavour, the smoked salmon pizza was actually flat bread and very meh. That being said, our server was great and so was the wine.

Very good service.

Very good service.
It was busy brunch weekends.
The server was very kind.
Enjoyed morning.

This restaurant has one of the nicest views in the city if you are lucky enough to get a table at the window or outside. It is known mostly for their seafood, which I didn't try as I am a vegetarian. My friend loved his meal, however. It is very busy during peak season, so make sure that you book a reservation.

The place has awesome views and great food. The buttermilk oyster fries was something unique which I didn't have before. Of course the thai curry is always good with the prawns. If you are a seafood fan, I would recommend this for date nights and family dinner as well.

The food, atmosphere and especially the staff, were absolutely fantastic!
Elsa took care of us and she was one of the best, if not thee best, servers I have ever had!
I would definitely recommend that you ask for her section when visiting.
Overall a great experience.

Excellent fresh seafood. The dining room is casual, so it was a bit noisy, but that's not an issue at all. I ordered a couple of oysters as well as scallop and shrimps on quinoa. Taste was very rich. I would definitely go back.

All of the staff were so incredibly friendly and warm-hearted. My servers were Casey, Holly, and Emily (waited for a table in the lounge), and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about all of them.

Choose this spot for my girlfriend's and I one year anniversary. I had made the reservation about a month in advance and had asked for a window seat. When we got there, we were escorted to a booth in the middle of the restaurant. We had to ask a waitress if we could possibly get a window seat and we did end up getting one, but the waitress handled it rudely. At Cardero's, you get complimentary bread and butter. We sat there for about a good 45 minutes without any bread even being brought to us. The tables that came way after us were given the bread within 5 minutes of arriving. We ended up having to ask for it. As well, the whole time we were there (about a good 1.5 hours to 2 hours), not once did the waiter come back to fill up our water. I ordered a beer and it was warm when I got it. I asked the waitress if I could get another one, and she went and exchanged it, but the second one she gave me was also warm. The food wasn't good at all, was overpriced, and the service was just as bad. Won't be coming back here at all, as there are definitely other places where you can get more bang for your buck.

There are a lot of people during the day on Sunday, so I waited for 5 minutes before entering.
Because of the pub atmosphere, there were many people who ate beer or wine even during the day, and there were many tables with children in their families. I ate a 50 dollar platter with beer, but the grilled shrimp, sprigs, salmon and ribs were all delicious.

Great location, great service, but the food isn't anything to write home about. The Seafood Stew special was undercooked, the wild pacific salmon was alright but I found it overpriced for the portion. Only thing that saved them was the crab cakes and mussels for appetizers. If there was more "oomph" to their menu, it would be a whole lot better. I've been a few times in the past 5 years and this time wasn't as great as the other times. Hopefully there will be something new in their menu so that their service, location, ambiance, and food can be more consistent with each other.
