Yum! Loved the fish tacos. The salmon was also so fresh. Delicious dinner with a gorgeous view. Great service, great atmosphere. I'll be back again and again!

Went for post work drinks. Great service and good food!

For some reason the hubby and I thought that it would be pretty awesome to have two dinners on our first night back in Vancouver and Cardero's was the second stop of the night. If you are staying at the Westin Bayshore this is an easy walk over. If you are driving, be prepared to look for street parking.

First of all this place can get pretty packed even during the off season but the bar and lounge area have spots that you can grab right away. The lounge area is very casual and those high top bar stool can be a bit dangerous to climb back onto after a few drinks.

I can see of why people love the seafood here, it is tasty. I haven't had fried buttermilk oysters since I lived in New England and the ones that Cardero's serve up are quite delicious and not to mention massive. There's an Asian influence going on throughout the menu and the hubby and I have a thing for spicy green beans, if it's on a menu we always get it and these were surprisingly good. They were covered in spicy shaved ginger and garlic and made me feel better about all of that other junk we devoured earlier in the evening. The big winner of the night was the cedar plank salmon and scallops which were both cooked perfectly and drool worthy. The dish is filling if you split it after a few apps.

My only gripe about this place is that it does take a while to get your food. It gets busy and luckily we weren't too hungry because we had heavy apps at our stop prior but if we didn't this review would be so nice.

Amazing food and great patio. Seaside platter' every item is tasty. Plus the best, freshest kusshi oysters I've had in a very long time.

Some of the best food I've had in my life, hands down. I didn't even know salmon could be this flavorful. Also had the chowder, flash fried squid, and torta Milano for dessert. Wonderfully sweet service, and a gorgeous heated patio on the water. Makes me want to come back to Vancouver soon.

Nice location and most of the staff was nice. Price was way too high for dish I had (prawns and scallops), which was bland and uninspired. Beer selection was not up to par either.

I visit Cordero s and Sandbad often! Great waterviews from both and I love the shrimp dumplings and truffle fries!

I had a bit of an incident recently where a server split water on my phone and it was damaged.

The manager Matthew was awesome and helped me out immediately. He got me in touch with head office management Andy and they resolved the issue and replace my phone with in a week!

Really appreciate the management team for helping me out so quickly with the unfortunate event.

Great restaurant with great dishes and great service

We went in for a quick bite, no reservation, with a toddler and newborn. Staff was very accommodating, they sat us right away and food was brought out quickly . Kids meal was great, our oysters and mains were on point as expected.

Great harbor view. Definitely would want to try the signature wok squid. Seafood platter might over priced with the limited options.

Getting pricier but can't beat the view from the deck! Service can be a little slow. Good eye-candy for the guys.

good selection of food. stick to the fish served raw chicken twice. all fish dishes were nice.

Get a table on the patio if you can. Excellent example of a classic west coast restaurant where seafood can be had on a pier in the harbour! Wine selection is good and fresh catch specials are am excellent choice.

Great ambience, fantastic service and incredible food for a very reasonable price! We loved all of the recommendations from the staff - their Sablefish is probably my favorite seafood dish I've ever had. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED and worth the wait time.

I debated this review for a while. Went there for my mother-in-law's birthday. It was their family favorite and her choice for a special night out. The location is great. View is amazing. And that is really where the great stops and the meh begins. The place is loud. Really loud. The menu was probably interesting at one point but now showing its age. We tried the full deal. Bunch of appetizers, mains and afters. Really just so so. Party of 8 and really nobody was impressed. The service wasn't memorable. The waiter had little if any enthusiasm. Probably the same enthusiasm the kitchen staff have for prepping food. We all came away feeling like we just had an overly expensive chain restaurant meal. If it weren't for the location this place wouldn't be able to keep up with the rest of the Vancouver restaurant scene. Need a good view to enjoy a meal? Go here. Want great food? Really nice waterfront restaurant. Has fish, steak and a wok. Food is great and portions are fair. Not cheap but definitely reasonable.

Staff were great. Our server Amber was so much fun and efficient. Patio seating was comfortable, food delicious and we'll portioned.

Great selection of seafood and PNW dishes. The views are stunning and immerse the eater in the majesty of the north-shore mountains.

I had high expectations, but it food was not my favorite. It was ok, but I have heard so many good things that I was expecting more.

We were told 1.5 hours for a table of 6, but based on the reputation we were okay with that. To our surprise we were seated in less than an hour! The atmosphere was great and food was wonderful. Three of us had halibut and one had the cedar planked salmon. All dishes were great. The only "knock" on the whole experience was the kid pizza, but they didn't seem to mind too much... Charles was attentive in service to our table and our experience was great. We would definitely eat here again if given an ooopportuni .

This is a very reliable good place to eat. Normally good service and always good food.

Pricey but the fish tacos I had were mouthwatering! Great date spot and beautiful views.

Another great meal. Their thick cut pork chop was delicious. Kids pizza was tasty. The bread they serve is a delicious yeasty treat. I would be happy pigging out on that alone. Desert was great as well.
View of the harbour at sunset made the ambiance even better. Decor is typical for a seafood restaurant with added elements of the harbour like a miniature seaplane hanging from the ceiling.
Always a treat when we visit Vancouver.

Wonderful dockside ambiance with great outdoor heating and a superb open kitchen. For parties over four, make sure you get reservations a few weeks early as things fill up with conventions at eh nearby Westin. Pro Tip: Get the Ling Cod, just get it.

We've had supper there several times after a nice walk along the water. Usually try to get a table by the window in the bar area. The view from there is fantastic.

Great food, great service!

Must visit cadero s as the food and service is amazing. From the moment we entered to the moment we left the staff was warm and welcoming. They ordered my food promptly and it came out hot and fresh! The food quality was great and the location plays a great part in the restaurant, as it sets a great mood whilst dining.

Overall 5 stars. Would definitely go here again.

If you want best service best beers best food look no further. This was the 1st place we visited in Vancouver. Excellent views. Obliging staff. Food orders fast and well presented. Good prices. Great atmosphere.

Love this place. It has a great food and atmosphere. Perfect location to soak in the sun, ocean breeze and have a spectacular Vancouver view.

Cardero s provides a very COVID safe dining experience. They have a beautiful and well spaced out room, and also a really nice patio. They have a good beer selection and the food was also excellent. Our server was a bit quirky, but kept our water glasses full and was quite attentive throughout our 2 hour dining experience.

Celebrating a friend's special birthday. Sat outside (in October) and the heaters kept us perfectly warm. Our server, Charles, was wonderfully attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed the sablefish and truffle fries. The only less than perfect part of the meal were the cocktails. A few of them were average. But service quality and food flavour was right on.

Beautiful location, great food, thoughtful wait staff.

Outstanding service coupled with equally outstanding food made for a terrific dining experience. We had a great server (#475) who made our experience worthwhile and even added some great conversation. We chose this spot on a whim as a nice end-of-our-vacation Sunday dinner and couldn't be happier. The fish was primo and the live acoustic music truly maximized the ambiance and our evening. Our 3-year old even behaved himself, so either the stars were all in alignment or the quality of the establishment ensured we would have a good time no matter what. Will definitely return. No question. Thank you.

I give them a 5, hubs says 3 because he wasn't enamoured with the guacamole. Order the fish tacos and Thai curry prawns!!! Fun atmosphere and comfy sun porch with a lovely harbor view.

truffle fries were not as good as the last time i came thru, wont return...

Wonderful food. Great service. Awesome atmosphere. Har Gow is the best except for maybe the wok beans. Will cherish memory til next time.

Very nice place with lots of attention from the waiters. The food was excellent as well, would come again!

The food was good. Service was great. Just found portion size small. I ordered a salad with tuna for $29 and I was not at all the size i expected. I was glad to have ordered some apps as that did not fill me.
