Loved the seafood appie platter...with Mediterranean salad was perfect for 2 ... added coconut cream pie and the best margaritas I've tasted in a long time made for an awesome experience. Bonus was an excellent server!

A fun and seaworthy dining experience. The raw oysters are incredibly fresh and delicious. The service is pleasant, attentive and they are knowledgeable of the menu items. Booking a reservation proves to be challenging, but if you walk in, you can be seated at the bar for a short time before being seated at a table. There is lovely indoor and outdoor seating with breathtaking views of the mountains and ocean. When I came with a party of 5, everyone was more than satisfied with their entrees. The prices are very reasonable for this calibre of dining. If you re looking for quality seafood in an unpretentious, waterfront location then Cardero s is a must.

Food was underwhelming, the building could be a great restaurant if they had some unique food that hasn't already been on the menu for at least 6 years. It felt like I was at the sandbar, or Seasons in the park, but I wasn't, I was at Cardero's.

I went with my family (Myself, fiance, son, and cousin). Everyone enjoyed their meals however I found the $48 steak (the priciest meal at the table) to be underseasoned and a bit tough. I ended up eating it all anyway as we were told we only had a certain time allotment at the table due to Covid and had I asked for something else most likely would not have stayed within that time.

I let our server know and he was quick to look for a solution. Ended up happy though, got a free dessert and the steak was off the bill.

By the way the creme Brulee was pretty awesome.

Personal favorite at the table was the clam pasta, also probably the best value based on serving size.

All in all a good experience brought down slightly by a disappointing steak. Not a big deal though. I will go back, I'll just order something different next time.

Really well educated and experienced bartender! We were waiting for our table and my husband ordered a gin and tonic. It s the first time I heard someone actually ask these two questions: 1. What kind of Gin? 2. Do you prefer lime or cucumber? I was so impressed with their knowledge. And while I was a designated driver and ordered a non alcoholic drink with sofa water, lemon juice and elderflower syrup (it was super delicious by the way), the bartender suggested fresh lemon juice and customized the sweetness to my liking, plus it s free refill! Wow, just the drinks already impressed me!

When we got a table and it was in the patio. The mussels were fresh and tasty with coconut sauce. And the spaghetti was cooked to perfection.

Would definitely go back again!

You normally go to Cardero's for the impecable salmon, cooked to perfection on a cedar plank. This is salmon as should be eaten on the West Coast... until you discover the swordfish!! It melts in your mouth. So buttery.
Great atmosphere. Service is friendly and really looking to help you having a great time.

Visited for the first time last weekend and I was really impressed. Menu was great, amazed at all the substitutes available for gluten free options. Server was quick and efficient and really welcoming. Would recommend.

Went a couple of weeks ago with a friend I hadn't seen in a while. We asked for outside and they seated us at a table for 4 rather than make us wait, though we hadn't made reservations and it was a busy Saturday. The place was packed and my friend and I talked throughout dinner and only realized after dessert we'd been there nearly 2.5 hours - service was available and never far, but they never made us feel hurried.
Lovely view and lively atmosphere, and though busy you couldn't hear your neighbours conversations. The food was good and there was a nice variety. Very pleased with the place, device and professionalism.

A truly wonderful restaurant experience. The ambience is warm and inviting, our server was phenomenal, and the food was absolutely delightful. We shared the seafood platter and some parmesan truffle fries. The seafood was delectable, and cooked perfectly, and the fries were foodgasmic.

Celebratory lunch on Saturday, did not want just a quick snack kind of meal. The menu offers a full option of choice. Toby was friendly and helpful, our party of 5 all had 3 courses, and we enjoyed our food. It was nice to have a "full dinning" experience during the daytime that fits our schedule. Would definitely choose to eat at Carderos again. It's not inexpensive, but it was worth it to us to celebrate a family event.

My husband brought me here for my birthday because we were intrigued by their menu, which had some asian fusion dishes.

Ambiance: We had dinner on their heated and sheltered patio. That evening, it rained lightly and it was super romantic.

Food: Their burger is everything you can want in a burger and their salmon dish was yummy. Only aspect that was underwhelming about the salmon dish was their "wok" fried rice. There was no legit "wok" flavour to it. The brownie dessert was so yummy!

Verdict: We would return for happy hour or coffee on an afternoon. What was thought was special about this place, turned out to be mediocre. Otherwise, no complaints.

My wife and I make a point of coming for the miso sablefish on every visit to Vancouver. The wait staff are always attentive, helpful and engaging. Make early reservations and be a party of 4 for best seating.

Extremely nice place to have lunch on a sunny day especially if you've been biking around Stanley park. The wait staff is extremely friendly and accommodating to your needs.

It is a bit on the pricey end but it is a place that you should try once in Vancouver.

Good service, well prepared and presented food, and a good winelist.
It's a large restaurant with a lively and casual atmosphere. My wife and I had a late reservation and we enjoyed our dinner experience there.

Great food, great service and the view!!! I come here all the time.
Mashed potatoes and oysters a little dry but the steak and fish is on point. Everything is served in no time and you can have tasty, warm bread while waiting.
Great and classic flavours in all dishes. They have a big wine and beer selection and AMAZING live music almost every evening.
If you are young and looking to meet people your age, you are wrong here however. The average age is between 30 (sometimes 25) and 50 years.

I always make a point of visiting Cardero's every time I'm in Vancouver! Beautiful location on the water and it has a very warm and welcoming feeling--comfortable even if you are dining or having a drink on your own. Great food too!

Cadero's is always a must when I come to Vancouver. Buy do come early as wait times could be long in a Thursday to Saturday night. Service is always top notch. As we came a little later, the lounge was full so we waited about 20 minutes for a table (Thurs at 7). They do have a lobby bar for you to order a drink while waiting. For dinner I ordered their burger, which I have had in the past. Everything is made fresh daily but this time around I found the patty was too compact. There was not alot of flavour and not very juicy. So a little disappointed. If you are in Vancouver, make Cadero's part of your stop for lunch or dinner or anything in between.

Used to love this place but my salmon burger had a tiny bit of salmon and a run of the mill grocery store like bun. It didn't seem worth the money. The service was great and the lounge has a cool fireplace

If you can get a table by the window in the evening it's a nice cherry on the top. But don't think that's the only reason to come here, the food is delivered with excellent service. It was packed on a Friday night so I recommend making reservations.

It s an okay place, great location and views. Service was top notch however the food/ drinks are pricey and the quantity of food served is not enough. We ordered the platter to share between two people and were left feeling hungry after. Won t be back in a hurry.
