Honestly...been twice and it's fabulous both times I was very well looked after and the servers were relaxed and not super "in your face" like other places in the city. They let you feel you were not just paying for the table as you ate or drank, but rather allowed you to take your own time to enjoy the view, relax and ask for the bill when it suited you. I'm very grateful for an excellent dining experience :) FYI...the manger who I asked to speak to was incredibly kind and Giselle who ushered me over was also fantastic and chatty. Highest respect to my server Claudia, who was so lovely I had to call on the manager to give positive feedback in person!

Good Vibes.

Every time I go to Cardero's I have an amazing experience. Their food is always fresh and cooked to perfection, their prices are super reasonable and their service is always on point.

Yesterday on my latest visit, I received above and beyond service from my server Sarah and he kitchen staff. I had inquired about the carrot cake (which is mind-blowingly-good btw!) for wedding catering and she went out of her way, despite being busy with many tables, and asked the chef for the recipe for me! Now I doubt I'll be able to replicate the cake the way that they do it at Cardero's, and will likely just go with a custom order, but her and the kitchen's staff's efforts to help me out really made my experience memorable.

I would recommend Cardero's any day. I especially recommend their salmon! I have had it made a variety of flavours and each time I fall in love! My other favourite is the Sablefish! I have yet to find a restaurant that cooks the sablefish better than here.

I have been coming to Cardero s for the last several years for special occasions, today was no different. We had made a reservation for two, got there a little early and was greeted and seated promptly. Our waitress, Logan, was excellent and attentive. However, the problems began with the back end, my T-bone steak was sent back three times before it was finally cooked correctly. Logan was quick to fix the issue and was apologetic even though the issue did not come from her end. Ultimately we ended up waiting over an hour for the dinner but Logan made sure we were taken care of before we left.

I've been here many times before with clients but never reviewed. Everytime I come the food takes absolutely forever to come as do the drinks. If you have a lunch meeting reserve at least 2hrs as the service is horrible. I find the food average at best considering how many great places there are in the area. Only reason why I keep coming back is patio and view.

Food was good. Their clam chowder soup was bland. Lots of ingredients but still sort of bland. 2 1/2 star for soup. Shrimp cocktail and curry mussels was really good. Cedar plank salmon is a 3 1/2 star. Had better for less $$. The side of rice and vegetables was too salty. Wife had shrimp and scallops was really good. 4 star.
Service was excellent.

Despite the heater being way too hot that we all ended up sitting around the edges of the table and avoiding the centre area, the vibe, view, service, food, etc was on point.
We had the oysters with wine special.

I do have previous experience here with having sandy clams in my vongole, but want to come back to maybe try one of the fish dishes that looked very delicious.

Ok so I did revisit for my mom s birthday, and our server Toby provided us with such a pleasant experience. He was knowledgeable, kind, and accommodating just to our needs. Highly highly recommend. The service here amazes me every time I visit.

It was ok. The food was good, service was a little inattentive. Better than most places but we ate at Sandbar their sister restaurant, on Granville Island, too and that was absolutely fantastic. Make this place seem bad even though it's good. Given the choice I'd absolutely swerve this place and get a reservation there.

Delicious food and great service. I had the Arctic char and absolutely loved it. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but the food makes it all worth it. The location is spectacular as well. My only minor grievance would be that the restaurant is very dark inside, but otherwise, a fantastic experience.

Great location but a bit too hectic and too loud.

Great location but a bit too hectic and too loud.
Went there for dinner today. The server was typically American, very friendly, but a bit intrusive.
And then we just went too fast. No sooner had we ordered the starters, these came 5 minutes later and then, almost without a break in between, the main course. The food was very good.
Too bad, we would have liked to have something cozy.
So you have the feeling, you should go fast again.

Food is very basic. The quality of the service is poor. Forgotten items, then forgotten when reminded, mixed up drinks, dirty appetizer dishes and empty glasses left on the table. Had to ask for stuff to be removed. The view is nice but that is all.

Good range of options. Well prepared. A bit on the expensive side.

Cardero's is part of a restaurant group (Sequoia Company of Restaurants) that also includes The Sandbar at the Granville Island Market, Seasons In The Park, and the Teahouse in Stanley Park.

I've also been to The Sandbar and the menu was strikingly similar to Cardero's menu.

Good place to dine at affordable prices with a great ocean view from your terrace. The service is very friendly and its menu is varied. Its most extensive menu is the wine list. I recommend that you go at sunset.

Delicious seafood with up close views of the Harbor yachts and sea planes activity. Our shared dish included a variety of seafood and ribs, including shrimp skewer, scallop skewer, salmon with delectable sauce. Local ale was great. The bar is large and claims live music everyday.

i didnt find my experience here overly special over two different occassions, and the prices are quite expensive. the only redeeming grace is the amazing location and amazing views. i would recommend this place for appies and drinks, not for quality food.

I went with a few friends and it was so fun! The food was amazing! Cardero's made me feel special for my covid birthday (I went with my roommates)

We got oysters and it comes with a bottle of wine at a lower price! Everyone at my table enjoyed their meal. The French fries were pretty good too.

There was someone playing live music but it was a bit busy in the restaurant with cutlery and restaurant chatter. We didn't really mind.

Our server was Mike, very polite and friendly! Mike and the floor manager have great energy and they surprised me with a little dessert. We will definitely be coming back.

When I travel alone, I tend to sit at the bar. I do this for lots of reasons, but one of the benefits is that I typically get to peer into part of the food-preparation world. Typically, if you sit at the bar, what you are looking at is... the bar. At Cardero's, when you sit at the bar by the kitchen, you see everything. What makes for a lot of entertainment makes for slightly awkward service (they are peering over you to take your order), but it is worth it.

A Mario Batali-like chef was directing everyone using humor and multiple languages with his busy kitchen team. This is a really efficient group. To have an exposed kitchen is a dangerous and brave thing; this group was clean, did not have any extra movements and got dishes out that appeared well-executed. They were amazing and exhausting to watch.

To start, I ordered the spinach salad with goat cheese, beets and a peppery flavor was good, if not good intense in some bites. Next, I thought about ordering the mussels, but ordered the linguine (with seafood). Linguine was exactly what I wanted to eat. It had a nice buttery sauce and the linguine was cooked perfectly. Their wine pours are also long, which is really nice.

I have come to Cardero's often because of its close proximity to the Westin and it has always been a good decision.

Atmosphere was upbeat. Service was friendly and competent. Food was overall average. Lamb chops were burnt and dry and needed to be remade. [The server did remove them from the bill.] Fish and burgers were good but unimaginative and plain. Two different desserts were both perplexingly tasteless. If you are intimidated by restaurants that have opened since 1992, this might be your favourite hangout.

Best views in Vancouver. I've loved Cardero's for years, it's a favourite with locals, and hosts some of the best views in the. Great food, great atmosphere, but it can be a little too loud for some people's tastes.

Seating was disorganized but the bartender ensured the drinks were mixed well and the wine chilled just right. First time at this location and enjoyed the chicken but completely disappointed in the charcuterie board. Do NOT order the shared platter as there are many more better options than the meat platter for one. Variety of meats/cheese/condiments was poor, taste of meat was off and portions substandard. I will probably never go back but I hear the burgers are worthwhile.

Carderos has always been a goto restaurant whenever we are in coal harbor. Their food service and management is always very consistent. The coolest thing they have is their flag system for calling on waiting customers. Also they have live music on certain nights.
Shoutout to the wonderful service from Kristie.
