Great motorcycle service centre and dealer. My father and I have had our motorcycles serviced through CMC many times and the motorcycles are still performing well. Staff are very helpful with gear and motorcycle advice with a wide range of products.

Loaner motorcycles are good quality and relatively new. I required a new tyre after the service and they replaced it within an hour, highly recommended dealership.

The service provided by Tom when purchasing a complete set of riding gear was nothing less than excellent. He spent the time to ensure all equipment was fit for purpose and suited our budget. His product knowledge was also excellent and we left feeling extremely pleased. I highly recommend team moto for all of your motorbiking needs.

Pretty ordinary guys. If your boss is busy, that's cool, but maybe take the initiative to hop off your mobiles, and your arses and interact with the customer as they're walking around the shop waiting... Facebook or texting your bff's can wait. Even a "are you right mate? Anything I can help you with?" is better than looking at someone, then looking away when we make eye contact. I've been dealing with Canberra motorcycles since 2006. In this time have sold one motorcycle through them and bought two motorcycles (one new, one secondhand) plus a pile of gear and spares. I've also had bikes serviced there so can pretty much say I've experienced every side of the business.

They are quite simply very professional in all respects and the layout is clean, tidy and well presented. Overall, they simply do what they say they will do, are prompt, efficient, good communicators, honest and work hard for their customers. The workshop is also first rate.

For my money the best bike shop in Canberra and right up there with the best in Australia. Big thumbs up and thanks to all the (many) guys and girls who have helped me out there. I'd single a few out but they are all terrific. And to counter one of the review here, my experience is that they are all very much passionate about their bikes.

This is not a short one line 5 star review:

This is not a short one line 5 star review:

Canberra Motorcycle Centre (CMC) have no concept of what "Customer Service" is, let alone know how to apply it. As a disclaimer I have owned service industry related businesses in Canberra for the past 35 years, and have a pretty good idea of what customer service is and how it should be applied.

I recently bought a bike from CMC. A bike that could only be purchased as a customer order - not as showroom stock. A deposit was paid in early August 2016, the bike arrived at CMC Jan 10th 2017. The bike is lovely, but the frustration since the bike arrived at CMC has soured the "ownership experience" to the point where I have told CMC that I will not be coming back into the business, or spend another dollar in the business.

Communication between dealer and customer is non existent. Recent case in point: I ordered panniers as part of the purchase. The panniers were not available at the time of delivery (January 10th 2017), but sales staff suggested late February was the expected arrival time with the next shipment. I called today (March 6th). The panniers had arrived "sometime before I went to the Superbikes" - (Feb 25 - 26th) - according to the staff member I have been dealing with. That was a minimum of 10 days ago without even a phone call. When I phoned today it unfolds that there is a problem with the panniers - a problem that occurred when CMC were putting the panniers together. It appears they were hiding this behind not making a call at all - perhaps hoping I would forget about them?

The attitude of the staff member was classic B/S. "It's not our fault that the panniers are faulty. We were just doing you a favour by assembling them for you anyway"! Really?? "Give us your spare key and we'll see if we can fix it. We'll call you when it's done!" Really?? Customer Service guys - communications guys! 10 days without a call is customer disservice, not service.

All this comes on the back of a 21 day wait from bike arrival at CMC on Jan 10th to the Jan 31st delivery day. The bike sat on the showroom floor for 7 days looking pretty before the pre-delivery service highlighted a suspected faulty fuel pump on Jan 18th. I was phoned and informed that CMC were unable to deliver the bike as scheduled for the 19th. On Jan 23rd the fuel pump was ordered - that's 5 days wasted. On Jan 30th I chased CMC again for a delivery date, and finally it was delivered Jan 31st. The delay? Some convoluted and frankly unbelievable story about the wrong part in the correctly labeled box from the National Distributor. My suggestion of Jan 18 to replace the faulty fuel pump with one from a different model, same engine, showroom bike was finally done on Jan 30th.

In the time from Jan 10th till today I have had only two phone calls from CMC: One on Jan 13th to say come and have a look at your bike sitting on the showroom floor, and the one on Jan 18th about not being able to deliver the bike on the 19th. All other communications have been initiated by me. Poor effort, poor attitude, high levels of arrogance, poor performance all round from CMC and staff. They would not accept this level of service if they were the customer - Customer service rule #01.

Apathetic staff. They're not interested to help you out with advice or even help set up the new gear you'd just purchased from them. Even when the shop is next to empty and there's a bunch of the staff gas-bagging around you.
Just buy stuff online, or go to Joe's.

So I bought my first motorcycle from CMC. Seb really knows his stuff and helped find the right bike for me. I looked at what the other motorcycle shops in the region had to offer, and CMC by far has the best range at the best price. I was a bit intimidated taking the step venturing from 4 wheeling to 2 but Seb made me feel comfortable right away and was able to answer all my questions and get me kitted out with all the right gear. I'll definitely be back to Canberra Motorcycle Centre when its time to upgrade.
Thanks Seb.

Went in and purchased a Shark helmet from them. I tried on a couple sizes of helmets to ensure the correct fit to which a certain size was recommended by the staff member. I purchased that helmet and as soon as I got on the bike it wiggled around from wind and vibrations which you would obviously not get instore. I called them immediately to notify them and asked what to do, there was an immediate "we don't take back helmets at all even if you just bought it as we don't know what you have done to it". He has a point, however wouldn't you know by any external marks?? Noting other stores have a 7 day return policy on helmets, which would have been nice... It was suggested that he can order a smaller liner for me, which I agreed to. It was not mentioned how much or if i had to paid for it, just that he can have it in a couple days. I was stupid thinking that this would have been some sort of "We recommended the wrong size, sorry, have a liner..." I was told then how much for it, he knocked some $ off the price, which I appreciated, then the tantrum ensued because I came in to get them to put the liner in at 5pm when they shut at 5.30pm, noting that I phoned BEFORE I came in and everything was fine on the phone. My problem here is that I was served with minimal customer service skills and copped attitude, however the gentleman that actually fitted the liner was perfectly happy to do so to appease the situation which I definitely appreciated hence the 2 star... not 1. Still doesn't help the fact though that this illfitting Shark helmet is rubbish and that I have a ridiculous amount of turbulence coming up into the helmet straight into my ears and when I rang today to see if there was anything I can do about it.... the answer was "nope get some earplugs". $400 well spent..... Call me if you have found any ideas, you have my number on file, I'd be happy to have a chat.

I would just like to expand on the above as Ben the aftermarket parts manager called me this morning to apologise and to offer to rectify any sour taste I may have after my experience. I greatly appreciate Ben s offer and his call. I edited this review out of my own will to show that CMC reached out post a negative experience.

Super impressed with the help I got from the staff here on a difficult boot fit. Not only were they knowledgeable and bend-over-backwards helpful, but they were friendly and welcoming to boot (ha ha, pun intended!)

Worst customer service i have ever received.

Worst customer service i have ever received.
Me and my friend went in wanting to test ride a bike, we were told we could only test ride if we were buying the bike on the day!
I've been a customer with CMC for years now, and was so dissapointed and shocked about how we were treated today.
The guy was extremely rude and very judgemental!!!
Never going back there and will never recommend it to anyone.
I wouldn't even give one star to this place.

Zero service - went in there for a helmet for my daughter. We were trying on helmets, looking at them, etc. Spent a good 20-25 minutes in there and not once was I approached by anyone. Although there were about 5 staff members on the floor, they were more interested in themselves. Not even a hello/goodbye. So, we walked out - you guys lost a sale! Money happily spent elsewhere.

I took a bike into TeamMoto Canberra where the screens locking mechanism wouldnt hold the screen up for any length of time. Only to be told that the mechanic could not find any faults. I showed them the issue and rather than fixing it, I now have to wait a response from KTM. Its laughable how bad this Service Dept have become since TeamMoto have had ownership.

Being a woman going to a massive motorcycle shop can be a bit intimidating, but it isn t at CMC. The staff have always been friendly and helpful from fitting me for helmets to ordering in gear. Everyone there rides bikes in one form or another and this is certainly reflected in their knowledge and service. A big thanks to Ben and Sarah for all their help!

I bought my very first bike off Seb Godfrey a couple of years ago. This guy knows his stuff! Super helpful answered all my questions, most of the info went out the other ear because I was so keen to get the bike. He didn t make me feel like an idiot when I phoned him to find out why the bike wouldn t start... it s called a kill switch! I recently bought my second bike off him and he dropped it off for me the next day. Very happy :)

Good staff and a nice choice of variety. Only issue I've had is the first time I went in to get gear, is the person helping me would only help myself even though I mentioned my partner was looking to get some as well, and then after purchasing stuff they forgot to take off all the security tags so I had to go back to get them removed.

Parts and service team are very friendly and helpful though one or two could do with a lesson in customer service and not make assumptions that a middle aged bald chemo lady wouldn't be interested in motorbikes. Bike Sales team hopeless though This place has now missed out for the third time on selling me a bike..i went elsewhere each time. I always have cash in hand and when i ask for the best price I mean it..stop playing tag games and wasting my time.

Just left this store for the second time. Same thing, no one here is interested in serving customers. First visit was to buy a bike, after walking around for 20min unable to get service I bought interstate from a great dealership in Brisbane and got the bike shipped down.
This visit I came to buy gear, got to the store at 2.40pm walked around trying to get service for 15min finally someone approach s me helps with a few questions and then advised that they closing so no time to try on things and buy.
Guess I m going online.

Horrible sales experience...only reason I bought was because I loved a bike they had online at another location. Major issues with follow up from not only sales guy but sales manager as well. Best person I dealt with during this purchase was the finance manager from their Queensland store and I never even met him! Still have issues after delivery..lost my business including servicing..

Had a great experience with these guys while purchasing my zx10r.

Kaemon was extremely helpful and very responsive during the whole process. He went above and beyond for me and for that i am very appreciative.

The finance team were on par as well. I couldn't recommend them enough for your next motorcycle purchase.

Very happy with it all!

Been a customer since going on an L's. Excellent customer service both at servicing and parts! I know because I work in customer service as well.

Very helpful staff too when you need it! The prices are very reasonable and they have a large range of stocks.

I'm definitely going back for as long as I'm riding! Also Adam's the man if you want some excellent and friendly customer service!

By all means buy your scoot/bike from CMCC, the staff are always friendly & helpful, but do _not_ have it serviced there, purchase parts or buy accessories like helmets, boxes etc etc.
Their prices are the highest in the Canberra region IMO, especially for servicing, and their work & customer service is not superior to justify the prices when compared to others, eg Motorini in Phillip.
But if money is not a concern, if you like their very nice premises, friendly staff and you can live without a free loan bike, then yes, they certainly won't let you down.

Pretty awesome range of bikes on the shop floor, plus a range of demos, which is to be commended. Sales staff generally seem helpful and engaging. It does have that "big shop feel" which is not really for me, but it is difficult to achieve personalised service with such a huge showroom and range of manufacturers. I am sure many repeat customers would probably say otherwise. Definitely worth a look.

Friendly cheap helpful. My first motorbike I bought here at Canberra Motorcycle centre. It was cheap and i spent a lot of money, but had I known at the start what I know now after one year I would of gotten a 650cc Road bike for a learner bike rather than a 300cc adventure bike. My highway travels would of been better.

Overall staff are helpful and you do need to research your purchase first, coz the sales staff won't dominate you trying to sell you something, when your just trying to get something cheap. Save the money and get what's best for you not what your budget can afford.

Had my bike in for a service, dropped it off. Picked it up later in the afternoon, gave me a rundown of what was done and what would need to be done soon. Friendly staff, reasonable price. Bit weird going down stairs these days though.

Poor service in the bike sales section. IV been in several time, IV been told several time I'd get a call with more information. I personally think that this business lacks professionalism.

You might have the bigger shop, but you have a very poor reputation. You have changed the name but not the staff attitude.

Do better.
