Biggest motorbike store in Canberra....wuth coffee!
Very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly service. Great range of accessories and cycles.
Big thanks to Ben who helped me sort out a new front tyre at short notice.
You saved the day mate.
Cheers
Jim
Went in to buy a new helmet. Spoke to a obvious new young salesperson if they had tinted visor in stock for helmet. Wow the other 2 salespersons totally degraded him in front of customer when he asked a simple question on where to find visor. Hey guys how about working as a team. Totally unprofessional !
Love the coffee and diet muffins at Baffles. Lovely staff top this cake off, friendly helpful and always resdy to assist. Thank you.
The usual story: Didn't have an OIL FILTER in stock. An OIL FILTER. They are a dealer. Didn't offer to help me get one either, just a shrug of the shoulders. Rang a Sydney dealer and it was shipped down that day.
Barrrp, love it, great staff especially that short guy who works in the accessories division
Bad customer service, bad motorcycle servicing. On the day I picked up my bike from getting serviced I was riding to work down a 100k road and the engine cut out, lucky for me the wheels didn t lock up. I got the Canberra motor cycle centre to come and get my bike I was later told while picking the bike the engine cut out due to a dirty petrol cap. WTF. I have told everyone that has a motorbike about this and to never use them.
Huge bike and accessory range. Small pwc and accessory range
Extremely poor service from parts! Ordered parts an paid for parts to call an be told they hasn't been ordered yet. After multiple calls and tracking. I've ordered parts from other team moto stores before never have I experience such long wait times for parts after being told they was in stock.. Won't be ordering anything these guys again.
Go talk to Kaemon. Came in looking to trade in and buy new, and between Kaemon and Stewart I had my new bike at home within a day. Had a hiccup with the previous financier, but I can't hold the guys responsible for that. Quick and easy service, would be happy to work through them again.
Service booking time is twice as long as advised when I bought my bike. Give yourself at least a fortnight.
Went to CMC a few times to see what may suit me or what I would like. Spoke to a few sales people who unfortunately weren't great until I met Seb, who was amazing! Seb helped me to choose a bike, which I fall in love with and organised test rides for me going above and beyond without any notice! If you are in the market looking for your first bike, please see Seb at CMC.
Great coffee shop amongst every single bike and accessory you could ever want!
I would give no stars if I could. Over-tightened my chain to the point it damaged the counter shaft seal (verified by an independent and capable motorcycle mechanic) and then wouldn't warrant it (they did offensively offer 15% off their already excessive service fees to fix their own mistake). The Honda company was just as bad and wouldn't listen to a complaint about CMC. So I go elsewhere for new bikes, tyres, accessories etc and I advise everyone to do the same; I hope others don't suffer this appalling attitude to doing business.
Good range of bikes, at a reasonable price. They back to any inquiries very quickly. If I find something I like, they certainly will get my business. Website is very informative and easy to use.
Amazing service, bent over backwards for me, highly recommended.
One of the best placing in Canberra fir motorcycle gear and advice The staff are always willing to help and offer advice on products regardless if they carry the item or not.
Great service. Friendly staff only too willing to help you with your questions.
Hands down the best mechanics in Canberra! They really look out for you and I feel like I can actually trust them. Professional, honest, kind. Thank you so much!!
Great Service. Especially a guy in sales named Kane
Great crew. Bought a bluetooth system for bike and was fitted with excellent advice. Thanks!
Awesome, Great shop, Great staff. Thanks for helping us out with safety equipment.
Just another motorcycle shop. Trying to sell more new stuff. Looking with distain at those who don't want it.
7 years on this weekend and still an awsome ride great place to shop thanks guys
Edit: My 4* review was for the old Canberra motorcycle centre
Honda / Ducati / Suzuki / KTM / Yamaha / Kawasaki
Ordered a new bike with the guys today, this was because of a good sales team that went out of their way to get me the deal I needed. And also in the past their service and spares dept as been excellent. Good work
Update.. Saw the guys at Team Moto Canberra again for another bike, service was patient and polite ending in a good deal and another sale Thumbs Up
Lots of range - prices are a little expensive tho
Don t expect any Indian range. It s the MCA rebranded
Negative rating if were possible. Blackbird to have several things done as per agreed before work commenced. Stator and regulator done- no complaints. Overheating problem to be sorted( reason in first place to take to them) five weeks later after me ringing for three weeks and being told will be ready monday each time am finaly told all is ready to go. Two hours across to ACT to pick up bike I'm told overheating is due to radiator but no effort made to call and ask if i want replaced so bike is returned with exactly the same problem it was sent in to be fixed.
Upon getting home and riding into shed i realize i have no working headlight. (fuse was removed so battery would not run flat when i took bike to them.) Next i read through invoice and work done. States that as part of major service as per the manual they checked headlight and headlight aim. Quite obviously this was not done so what else did i pay for that wasn't done.
Only went to this place as i wrongly assumed a large businesses would care about their customers. Can't recomend strong enough - take your buisness anywhere but here.
Great cafe too chill while work is being done on your bike. Very extensive range of parts and gear.
Cool staffs with plenty of bike knowledge and great service .
It's one of the few places you can buy motorbikes and gear in Canberra, Specifically Honda, Kawasaki, and Suzuki. They hold market dominance and it shows when you book your bike in for a service and it comes back in exactly the same condition you brought it in like and they charge double the initial quote and take over a month to service.
Wouldn't recommend, but if you want a bike they specialise in you don't have many other options.
Don't waste your time with their accessories, they're incompetent, unorganised, do not return calls, take full payment for orders then don't fulfill the order. I have consistenly received car parts from the UK faster than a jacket ordered from Sydney. If they practiced customer service as well as they practised excuses i'd still shop there...never again!!!!
Well stocked and had a cafe to wait in while services are being done.
Went in to purchase 2 new helmets . Customer service was absolutely zero. Won't be going back. Staff need a tune up.
I bought 3 motor bike from them in 3years I love it go and get the hobby for the rest of your life
Went in today to look at the MT10 and MT09. Walked in wasn't greeted by any of the staff sitting at the front desk, and as I stood and looked at both bikes no one made an effort to come over and see me. They were all standing at the service desk playing with some display. I stood there clearly visable for about 10 minutes I reckon, granted I didn't approach the staff but I assumed they didn't want my money considering no one came up to me.
I've been in a couple of times for service and parts when I had a KTM. Similar level of service then too. Didn't appear to care. I know my details are in their system but don't bother calling me if you read this, you've lost my business.
For all your mototcycle needs this is a one stop shop.
Helpful staff and good amount of spares instore. A Little expensive even for Canberra.
Really great service. I had problems with an accessory I purchased there six months ago. I still had the receipt and after a short, pleasant discussion with the manager it was exchanged for a similar item. This is what good Customer Service looks like! I'll definitely be back.
Just about everything motorbike related you could ever want
My husband was looking to trade in his current bike and purchase another second hand bike. We contacted TeamMoto Canberra who asked us to send photos of the current bike for evaluation. We did this and then did not hear back. We contacted the store again to enquire if the photos were received, they confirmed they were and were waiting for the evaluation to be completed. After 2 days we were over waiting so we contacted alternate stores (other then TeamMoto) and were able to trade our current bike and purchase a new one else where. I would highly recommend not even bothering to contact TeamMoto Canberra, it s a waste of time.
Have made a purchase here and had several bikes serviced. It s almost an American feel with the size and layout of the place and the super friendly service. The sales staff and service people are all genuinely interested in the bikes and your satisfaction. I love to ride but don t know much about the mechanics of a bike myself, so it s great being able to trust the people that keep my bike on the road.
This is not the first issue iv had with CMC and after today i will NOT be returning.Today myself and my partner went into CMC, i will start off saying that i am utterly disappointed and disgusted at the lack of customer service and also respect for customers. first issue is that your staff need to stop thinking their job is just a social gathering, also the customer service for items that aren't kept in store, as i think being bluntly told that we dont have the item in stock and it will have to be ordered which is fine but after that statement was said the woman serving me did nothing and just stood there. All in all if your the only dealership for particular brands of motorcycle its pretty pathetic customer service, i now will be making the trip to Sydney for the items im after and guaranteed better customer service. Which i have already been guaranteed through phone call. Also if you have a customer with a big amount of money in cheque form you pay attention to them and help them normally spend that money to purchase a brand new motorcycle not ignore them for 2 hours. If your a customer and have had the same type of issues as i have i highly suggest you to go to Kawasaki Sydney as they are by far the most professional people i have come across.
Great customer service. Had to get a new chain on the bike as I was travelling through. They got it done without hesitation, fit me in in the morning and out with enough time to travel on.
We entered with 2 montha left on our P plates. As soon as we told the Ducatti salesman we would not be buying today he became rude and unhelpful. No matter what motorcycle we decide to get it will not be bought here. I would rather get it from Sydney.
Ever since I've been coming in for parts the staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. Would recommend to anybody. :-)
Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and keen to help. Seb is THE MAN for 2nd hand bikes.
I have had several dealings with Canberra Motorcycle Centre in both purchasing riding gear and buying parts.
The helpful staff know their gear backwards and offer constructive and relevant information to assist with the decision making process. Not only did I make a wiser choice based on the sales persons advise, I also bought at the right price!
I cant speak highly enough about the service that I have received from the guys in the spare parts section. Their knowledge of Hondas both current and old is excellent. They are helpfull and friendly, and the fastest parts providers I have encountered! (even compaired to Sydney dealers!!)
Thanks for being my local bike centre. You guys kick it .....!
Great place for bikes new n used, clothing and all accessories. Great little coffee shop as well
Usually have a good range of parts. Only place in Canberra to buy from the big 4 Japanese brands, but be prepared for a "big shop" feel. The staff try, but in the end it may doesn't compare to a family business like Joe's.
Prices are way too high, Could go to Adelaide and get a New Bike and Gear cheaper and ride it home. When I go in there all the salesmen/women stand behind the counter and you have to look for them. Only go in there to look at a new bike to look and see what the new models differ. Will not buy a bike or gear off them again.
They hold a great variety of stock and good quality parts, and accessories at reasonable prices. The store is normally very busy.
They sell bikes and gear - but I bought a bacon and egg roll and coffee! Great feed!
Pretty horrible customer service. Be prepared to wander around for 20mins+ before a staff member approaches you. It wasn't even very busy, not very welcoming and very light on information of their own product.
I manage a used car yard in a large franchise dealership and after visiting CMC i will be talking to my staff. If I wasn't asked four times i was asked five by the staff if I needed any assistance and all of them with a smile. the shop was impeccably displayed and the feel of the place inviting. I was only waiting for a mate to pick up some parts.
They advertised a bike as immaculate condition for age and when inspected it was trash! This seems to be the theme of the New Motorcycle Empire that is now CMC. They're no longer passionate about motorcycle only about $$$$ and how much they can wring out of each customer with the minimum amount of service. The slick 'dodgy brothers' used car sales pitches, including fashion beards and gold chains does nothing for their image, it makes me want to puke! All brands in one location is bollocks! Where is the loyalty? If you want to buy a bike go to Sydney!
Beware of some reviews also, as their paid staff, friends and family like to post positive comments about themselves, all you have to do is read a few to the common theme of 'the best in the Oz' 'Fantastic service' bla bla bla ............Reallly!!! The best shop in the ACT is Joe's, always has been! Straightforward and honest blokes who love motorcycles and always look after their two wheeled fraternity!
Now where's my gold chain and false beard?
Seb was fantastic, the staff in general were rather friendly. Great place to buy a new or used bike as well as a great range of accessories.
It takes a bit for me to write a negative review, but after 3 poor experiences, Team Moto and everyone else need to know.
1) Team Moto Epping tried hard to sell me a LAMS Suzuki SV 650 2016 model as a full power version. Being In Canberra I could not try the bike. I provided Suzuki headquarters with the VIN of the bike and they confirmed it was a LAMS version, and by the way, Suzuki only imported LAMS bikes in 2016. Despite that, the sales guy was still adamant it was a full power machine.
2) Not discouraged I check Team Moto website and found a nice red and black SV 650 advertised for an attractive price. Upon calling I was told that unfortunately the bike was white and blue, so not the shown in the catalogue.
3) I persevered and called my local Team moto in Canberra who indeed had a black and red Suzuki SV 650 and was told the ride away price was $12000 when everyone else in Australia charges 10000!!!!, the sales rep was dead serious even after being shown the BIkeSales page!
Team Moto, if you where trying to convince customers to go and shop elsewhere, you could not do a better job.
Great coffee shop to boot. Although they can be a bit slow with the junior staff.
They know bike stuff
Their bike service has improved a lot after the name change
Unless you re buying a bike, the service is terrible. You don t even get a hello when walking in the front doors
Unbelievable shady. Changed the agreed on price AFTER the bike arrived. Found out from colleagues that this practice is common. 'Sales' team have often reneged on an agreed trade-in and/or final value. Swapped agreed figures around on paperwork and expected me to agree to a new price and be out of pocket more that $1000 on a $3000 trade in. Then said it was a 'miscommunication'. Don't risk buying from these shady liars.
