i have lived beside this dundas location for many years. its the worst canadian tire in london. most of the staff are fine but the 90% of the auto staff are goofs. extremely rude . in the last 2 months.... i blew 3 brake lines on a 94 lesaber and they wanted 998$ to do them ,12 hours labour on 3 brake lines. i got it done at the next random garage i went to down the street for 380$. then i went to the auto desk and order vent visors. when they came in they were the wrong pair. yesterday i called to order a trailer hitch. they said yea no problem we dont have it in stock but we can order it within 2-3 days. i show up to buy it and they start telling me that there warehouse doesnt even have it and it may take 2 weeks if they can even get it. unfortunately if u want decent service u will have to go to the other side of the city because east end dundas is run like east of dundas

National chain of various household items. They have some very unique and exclusive products as well as a wide variety of brands. One stop shop! Been here hundreds of times and will return some time in the future. Would recommend to shop there once for the experience

Only come here for the location. Many items are in glass box. Had to wait for assistance and weirdly enough, the store assistance took me to the checkout without even asking if I would like to browse more products. Inconvenience!

The rating is off, honestly I'd give this place a 9, OUT OF 100000!! And pls hear me out.

I tried out several bikes they have and bought a cheaper one finally, coz I can't afford to get yet another bike stolen.

The bike worked fine on the smooth tiles in the store, but did not perform well on the real road. The bike is insanely wobbly. For instance, I cannot get up onto the sidewalk from the bike lane over the little bump in between them without getting off the bike right off because getting off by myself is a much better way than falling off.

I went back to get an exchange for a nicer bike. But apparently I rode the bike outside of the store and there is no way for me to return or exchange it. The "bike" manager was a smug, condescending and not helpful mid-aged white male. "we won't be able to sell it anymore, and a lot of our stuff is not returnable too". "Would you buy a used bike from our store?" I said I would if there is a discount. They he gave me this cold gaze and said:" so you want me to put this bike back to the shelf, and give you a more expensive bike, then I'll lose more money?" Yea, thats the price you need to pay for putting out non-returnable bad-quality bike! And trust me, I will pay more for my comfort!

He was towering over me while talking to me like I am imbecile and novel to the whole bike thing. Obviously he has worked on bike for more than 20 years and can do bunny hops and other fancy tricks. And the reason why the bike is wobbly is because I'm not using it right. I have had five bikes in the past, and maybe I don't know how each bike part works, or which part could cause what problem, but I know when a bike is horrible.

The most infuriating thing was that NO ONE, NO ONE TOLD ME THE BIKE IS NOT RETURNABLE BEFORE I BOUGHT IT! Another box store playing big company trick! And of course the terms are on the receipt. "If you read the receipt and returned to the store immediately, we could arrange the refund." Well, how am I supposed to know it is horrible without TRYING IT ON THE REAL BIKE LANE!

I'll never step a foot into this place. Unbelievable!

The best Canadian Tire I've ever been to. It's a bit smaller and a lot more cramped than any CT in the suburbs, but also absent are the unhelpful high school kids that are never anywhere to be found. Instead, here you get employees who are out in the aisles all the time and at least somewhat knowledgeable about the products they stock. They aren't home hardware/renovation experts by any means but know their products well enough and will go out of their way to help you find something. I was really impressed, and almost couldn't believe it, when I saw multiple employees helping customers in a way that I've never before seen at a CT.

I been here numerous times over the past few months. Usually you can't find staff as they are either understaffed or hiding someplace talking to each other.

Downstairs floor is terrible. The staff are notoriously rude and most of the time they hide in the back or at the end of the isles. Today was the last straw. After finding a group of three reps I preceded to ask them if they could assist me. One of the male rep insulted me when I asked if they had anymore Purina cat litter. He asked if I was blind.(Seriously) and he put some out earlier.
I told him to repeat himself and he didn't. Then I asked him to follow me to the area. No pcl in the area. I told him maybe you should do your job next time instead of lying to me and the other staff. He didn't say anything. I walked away.
The District manager needs to step in and start dealing with these University students that have bad attitudes in the store. You don't like the job quit. There are 1000's of unemployed people out there that would be happy to take your jobs.

Looking for 10 storage bins, I was eventually assisted but an associate, who posted the most expensive product without directing me to the items on sale. I found those on my own after living the others around. Could have been better

Okay. It's a Canadian Tire, right? This one is different because there are a lot of very good, helpful staff. Yes, more so than other CT stores in my experience. The store is well organized and on two levels. I can generally find what I'm looking for by reading the signs on each aisle. When I do need help finding something, the staff almost always know the location without looking it up. My one complaint in the service area is they sometimes have no cashiers on duty. That leaves only the self-checkout. I work on computers all day - I want to talk to someone when I'm checking out. I make use of this store a lot because of the staff being so friendly and helpful.

I brought my bike frame in after my wheels were stolen. Was told the mechanic would call me back. Didn't hear from them in two weeks and tried calling with no success. When I was finally able to go in nothing had been done with my bike. Terrible service. No rebate offered for the inconvenience.

They have 2 lines ... 1 for online pickup 1 for in store. They have no signs to tell you which is which... they couldn't put up couple piece of paper to let people know? Wasted 45 minutes in the wrong line.

Slow staff and refuse to let us to use the coupon, if you not going to let people use the coupon then why give out them, its 2019 and they are still asking you to print out a paper coupon in order to use it it is just simply stupid.

Customer service guy yelled at me when returning rented steam cleaner after I was finished with it: I rented a steam cleaner, used it, and went to return it later that day. As I was walking into the store, this big guy from the service desk gets in my face and yells "Are you returning that?!"..."yes"..."WHY!?"......."because I'm finished with it". Guy was about 6''3'; not wearing uniform, and standing in the entrance. Extremely unprofessional behavior; he should be fired for this.

Giving this place 5 stars because it's right downtown and carries a pretty full selection of products. If I can't find something at Rotblotts I default to this location at the Eaton Centre. Cart management seems to be an issue here because of the tight spaces and sometimes-not-working cart escalator. But small things, these are.

I wanted to find a cake tin that was smaller than 9 in. There wasn't a lot of choice but I did find a glass container that I could put in my instant pot. To find the right aisle I used the device at the entrance to search electronically. It worked fine

Extensive store with anything from housewares to car parts and sporting equipment. Staff are friendly to point out where items are but sometimes its a bit difficult to get a hold of one. Self check out is convenient.

Have been and still is waiting for about 30 minutes in aile 39 for someone to open the plyer cabinet. If you have a life to live DO NOT GO. Update: 40 minutes I finally get help but the worker gave me nothing but attitude. Then the self checkout ladies had an item but a customer is not as important as their conversation. I will repeat. NEVER GO.

I m sorry to say that I had a very dissatisfying experience about their service because, the bicycle my friend bought from Canadian tire was perfect at first sight, when we took it home and rode for the first time, problems popped up. Because that happened, in the next moment we took it back to the store for return and they don t have any manners to take it back because it s such a bad item they sold us.

Returns desk is a nightmare. Management claimed i was trying to return goods which the store doesn't sell. When shown that this wasn't the case, the ancient manager told me no returns on these particular items, because... reasons . The antediluvian manager didn't apologize for claiming that i was trying to defraud their store. He just stubbornly gave me an in store credit. Pathetic service and management. This was on April 4 2017.

I come to this location a lot and there are always plenty of associates on duty if I need any help. One gentleman was very helpful during my most recent visit in recommending a material to fix my cabinet door. The store is a little hard to navigate but the huge selection makes up for it. It's my go-to location for any household item.

I purchased a cuisinart knife set on sale. When I opened the box at home, it was already unsealed and one leg of the wood box was missing. This is second time I am getting defective or used item on sale. Last time it was Iron which had water marks inside. Why the Dundas St Canadian Tire keeps selling second hand items as new ones.
