Standard Canadian Tire experience. It's in a very convenient location.
Whoever hired Ms. Jojo de roda my praise go to them. administration should take a good care of this employee. true asset to the Canadian tire family.
Very bad store manager
Bought a new bike
Went back and repaired three times in three weeks
The car repairman kept saying that he hadn't seen this situation in 30 years
The store manager is even more involved
I don't know anything
Just told me
You came back for maintenance three times
If you come back, you will be charged
My old swan, what the hell answers Hey
I just want to fix my new bike
I won't give him a chance without next time
Big store. Difficult to find a specific item sometimes.
Run down. It has everything but no warm feeling. Thank god for the app that tells you where things are.
The staff is just so great here. Helpful, polite and knowledgeable
Solid branch. I come here to purchase fishing supplies and hardware generally and staff are helpful. Was able to get store credit with a receipt from a gift and was super appreciative for the folks who helped me. A fan of the camping equipment selection as well.
Love this location! Someone helped me out with a price match and ended up saving me like $200. Thank you!
Hard to find a better downtown hardware and household store in the heart of the city
Canadian tire has a variety of household supplies. Good place for home necessities.
Purchased some screws at the downtown location and I was looking for some assistance from a male worker. I received degrading and judge-mental service, not sure if it was my lack of knowledge in buying screws or because I was female. Or maybe both. Very disappointed and insulted.
Absolutely love this store it's convenient and chucked full of whatever you need to find. The prices tend to be a little higher than they are at other Canadian Tire locations however the wry have an amazing Clearance section in the lower level that you can find products marked down sometimes 80 to even 90%off the marked price for various reasons ie: open box, missing a screw, discontinued, customer return but for the most part its a definite plus and you can save hundreds of dollars even going once. I bought a Panasonic upright vacuum that had been discontinued ticket price was 699.00 I paid 40 dollars nothing at all wrong with it except NO BOX, NO INSTRUCTIONS AND NO WARRANTY however I've used it for a year and love it no problem. My wife bought a stainless sell Cuisinart BBQ same deal paid 100 regular 549.00 works perfect! Check it out. This is the only true Cabaduan Tire store listed as Urban Canadian Tire abd caters to people living in condos, apartments and smaller places.
The best thing about it is the location. Otherwise it's chaotic.
I bouhgt a steam cooker for my stove top to cook vegatables for healthier eating. I already used it and it works quite well!
good product to shop but during morning hour we struggle to find someone that can help us.
Haven't been to Canadian Tire since having moved abroad for a lot of years. I was delighted with the breadth of merchandise being offered at reasonable prices.
Sales associate's solution for not being about to find an item was "it must have been moved to an obscure location - ive changed the inventory to zero. It will be back in stock in about two weeks".
Always love going to Cdn tire always find something!
Place is crazy. Has multiple floors. Can't complain.
Girl at the selfcheckout today was just unbelievably rude. Never been spoken to like that by anyone before
Absolutely the worst customer service in the world!!!11 I went in to buy a cocktail shaker for my weekend adventures in defilement. The girl who helped me was so rude! She bit the head off a baby deer and cursed at me in Latin. Then the walls started shedding the blood of ten thousand slain Beothuk warriors. And as I was walking home a seagull pooped on my shoulder. I truly feared for my life that day. I had to call my mother to make sure she hadn't been bumped off by their in-store hit man. The store is centrally located and I'm an entitled arse, so I'll definitely shop here again.
Excellent customer service! Thanks Anna and Lucas for your help! You were very helpful
Collecting the Canadian Tire money makes the shopping experience unforgettable.
Good management, immature incompetent staff often serving. As a result I always need to ask for management. Managers are always good though and very professional.
Pretty big and very organized. Staffs are pretty helpful, if you can find one.
Pretty useful store where you find things you normally wouldn't think to find in the heart of downtown. As a student in the school in the areas or residents its one of those places that becomes super convenient. For anyone else i doubt they would go downtown for a canadian tire. It has everything all others do although feeling a little cramped, and parking as you could imagine is pretty hard to find.
Young brown girl at the customer service desk rushed me while I was returning an item, not to mention communication and rapport was non-existent. Very uncomfortable.
Ouch! Always last on my list of crappy tires to visit... odds are you will have to go to another location anyway... often out of stock, even when they show they have it online
Always find whatever I am looking for. Love this place unbeatable prices.
Got everything you could possibly need, however, it's super hard to find what you're actually looking for.
Customer service personnel were helpful store had everything I needed
Convenient location but very cramped walking space inside.
It's really great to have such a fully stocked store downtown so commuters can buy things during their lunch hour and not have to drive to pick things up after getting home.
Big location but not very organized. The staff was very friendly and help me look for the items.
Busy everybody buying and picking up Christmas gifts.
Not only do they threaten to remove you from the premises if you show up without shoes, but there's so many items available for purchase at this store that it becomes overwhelming for someone who just traveled off the reservation for some supplies. Fortunately, My step sister was there to give me a subtle hand-job while I rode in the cart. I never came as hard as I did that day ever again. It was quite possibly the greatest day of my 14 year old life.
Excellent location. Products stock is various and sufficient. Price is competitive to everywhere else. Definitely recommend.
You would have better luck asking a wall for advice than speaking to one of the employees. Ice Skates, you would think "Canadian Tire" would be a great place to visit. No. Appalling customer service, not allowed to have them un chained together whilst trying them on and after 30 minutes of being told "I don't know" it was time to leave. I don't like to write bad reviews but felt it necessary today.
Would recommend if you're down to waste 20 min trying to look for an item you don't know where in the store its located and have staff refuse to help you.
Previously had positive experiences but today not so much. Would be nice if there was a store directory of some sort.
Came here a couple times recently to browse at their plants. Today their stock is thin but I picked up a beautiful marble queen pothos that has kind of overgrown its 3.5 inch pot for $3.79... what a great deal - it s comparable price to Ikea. There s a still a few left but this one is particularly nice. The tags aren t scanning properly for the pothos, but another worker told me it s regularly $4.99 while the other told me $3.79. At $5, I probably would make me consider holding off the purchase for a more unique plant or wait until I get my hands on a neon pothos, since I have limited space!
I saw a few ficus lyrata dwarf in 6inch container for $9. Pretty good deal.
Other plants I saw in the was pileas for $7.5 I think for a 4 or 6 inch pot a week or so ago. Quite a good deal for such large plant though they are all sold out today.
I wish more stores showcase their inventory of plants online like Ikea, Chive and Dynasty. So here sharing my findings!
This is a very poorly run Canadian Tire. I bought skates their recently because they have the best selection but their is zero service and all of skates are not even stored by size. I would go to another store if possible but I live downtown and don't have a car. The one at Davenport and Yonge is far better.
This location is new...but its got the same old spirit. Kudos
This store is a mess right now. I understand you are doing a remodel but you absolutely cannot leave these giant obstructions in the aisles without an attendant. I know this from my own retail days. Trying to navigate the store with a cart is hard enough without massive objects in the way. This is not only inconsiderate to your customers but it is quite dangerous.
I was just strolling through the mall and discovered there was a Canadian Tire. Wow in a mall, downtown . This is a full sized Canadian tire downloaded town. I went in there looking for something in a rush and the Store manager went out of his was to get it for me. A great Canadian Tire location with wonderfully kind and helpful management staff. Some of the less senior staff were not helpful, thankfully the management staff step up their game.
twice ive gotten a raincheck from this store, and told both times, they said they would call as soon as the items came in.after waiting almost ten days i still havent been contacted,
Great prices for my pots and pans.. Swiffer supplies
Good place to drop by for hardware goods. Very big considering it's downtown and has friendly staff.
Do not order anything online to this store. The supervisor, Bibi O., is exceptionally rude and doesn't know the basics of customer service.
When an issue with my order came up, she said she couldn't do anything and walked to the back to hide from me. In order to get help, I had to call the customer service line. When I called her back to the desk, she ignored me. Eventually, I got her to speak to the rep on the phone and she told him a false story. When I corrected her, she rolled her eyes, plugged her ears and went to the back to take the call in private. In the end, the general manager compensated me, but it wasted 1.5 hours of my time, as well as dealing with a woman who deserves to be fired. Not the mention the low level employees had to comfort me, and even reassured me that they did not like working with her either.
Will not be returning again.
i ordered for curbside pickup at the eaton centre location in light of the covid 19 crisis. i expected to go there call like the ticket said and it would be brought out so i wouldnt have to have contact with anyone. instead when i arrived at 8am when they open i called, no answer. then all the employees started arriving. they opened the door and shood everyone in. so i went to customer service to pick up the order. no you have to go downstairs. meanwhile theres like 100 employees rummaging in the store very close to each other (not 2 meters apart). then at the desk the guy doesnt have a mask or a barrier up. so i have to go right up to him to show him the order number, meanwhile he didnt even have the computer on yet. i grab my purchase and run out because its starting to fill with customers and employees! while trying to escape i have to go through a labyrinth of checkouts not filled with customers but employees who promptly ask to see my receipt . oh wait didnt get one. i get to the door to escape but a door girl is there asking for receipts . so i open my phone with the email. she asks me to zoom in? huh? then i say look i need to talk to the manager. she says oh thats me. of course. i say this isnt social distancing and i asked for curbside pickup. she says well we only do that for cars how is this not social distancing. hey how about you take some constructive criticism and stop arguing.
Store has changed dramatically for the worse. There is usually only one cashier for the entire store. They are obviously pushing for everyone to go through self service . Dirty.
I would give Canadian Tire 4-5 stars for selection and 1 star for extreme lack of staff and readily available customer service. There's no legend in the store that helps you locate items and you have to go searching for help. Whoever is the current CEO needs to up their game.
Buying an air gun only requires adulthood and a passport.
Large selection of goods, very conveniently located
Excellent customer service, staff are very friendly and helpful. Good pricing! Competitive with Amazon.
Tried to find an item in-store. The organization in this store doesn't even exist. They kept on telling us it was in aisles that the item wasn't in, only to find out that they had "packed it away."
I then tried to order it online so I could pick it up in store, the website said I could pick it up 4pm the same day. As 4pm rolls around, I receive an email that the item wont be available until 2 weeks later. Nice.
Update: they canceled the order.
I received some fantastic customer service and assistance from one of the store's employees, Halima. I had asked for $20 cash-back from a Self Checkout machine but left without taking my money, and only realized this over a half hour later. I returned to the store and asked Halima for help, and not only was she safely holding my money, she also stopped another customer from claiming it for himself. She was sharp enough to note down the transaction number on the Self Checkout machine, which is how she figured out the guy was lying.
She did this even though she didn't know if I would be returning. When I did return, she asked for my receipt to verify my claim before giving me my $20 with a big smile. That's what you call customer service, not just doing your job but going above and beyond.
Amazing selection of everything a homeowner needs right in the centre of the city. Very clean, we'll stocked and we'll staffed.
It's nice that it's located in downtown and they usually have most if the items I find online
Like everyone else here seems to be saying....so disorganized!! No one to help you!!! Argh!!!!
Also, I was given a raincheck that was supposed to be honored in any store, but other stores wouldn't accept it because they said it should never have been issued for this particular item. Very disappointing.
Very good store. It has everything. BUT it's expensive !!!
slow service. The staff was helpful and knowledgeable though. Price is too high
Good value and selection as expected from CT, but really uninformed and unavailable staff. Not impressed with how this store is run.
I love that there's this Canadian Tire right downtown at Bay and Dundas, so perfect if you live in the core or are at Eaton Centre and need to pick up something quickly before closing.
Super handy, it's a big store that has everything you need -- even seasonal items to help you decorate for the holidays. Only thing is parking is limited so to save some cash, park in the Green P parking under Nathan Phillip's square. When you're ready to load up the car, you can just pull up to the back door!
The Bicycle Department is great, if not the best in the city...
The store was easy to get to so I went in, bought what I went there to get and I was out.
A nice facility. Little crowded but not much expansion possible in a downtown location.
Surprising a retailer has this much real estate downtown.
