Our first time there was amazing! Food was great! Activities were so fun! But the arcade machines are rip offs. They are wasting you money. But the other activities were amazing! Rooms are so nice! Over all, amazing experience in PA at the resort.

1 1/2 hr wait at ticket / rentals window, less than 50% operational and charging full price. Never have seen it so overly busy for a holiday. Mid week next time.
Killer trail map. I just suggest that they upgrade to faster lifts due to the extreme volume of people that wait in line. Other than that it's a really nice resort.
Loved these trails.... The bunny slope is pretty big compared to other places, the greens had me trying to slow down... Definitely coming back as soon as possible
Apparently, the new management wants to run this place into the ground. I have been to all the local ski resorts, and this by far has become the worst run in PA. No social distancing/no mask enforcement. Liftlines were literally 55 minutes (I am not kidding), and we only got in about 6 runs in 8 hours... Had to pay for parking and then wait in a 50-minute line for the shuttle as well (unless I wanted to pay for premium $50 parking). My board hit multiple beer cans on the ride down too, the place was littered with trash.
I have been here in years past, and it was really disappointing to see what happened to this place. Never wasting $130 for a day pass here again.
Loved staying with my family for a few nights. We loved the water park, and the swim up bar. The food is absolutely lacking. We wish we could say the food was better. But the rest of our experience was awesome.
- Parking attendant did not know where lessons were which was really frustrating. - adult private lesson was great. Informative instructor and close to the rentals and parking. -kids group lesson. We had to take a shuttle from the main base. Dragging nagging kids with all our gear on the shuttle was so terrible. They really need to have the lessons all together. -Lastly, the kids lesson area has no place for parents to wait. My 3 year old and I has to wait out in the rain while my daughter took her lesson. Totally crazy. We ended up hanging out in the bathroom to keep dry and it was a terrible experience.
Fun mountain but they need to fix a lot of communication and operations. Will not be returning.
Whoa! Can't wait to come back again! Got this place for a fantastic rate at . I like this resort and I'm extremely thankful I stayed at my favorite hotel for much less than what I normally pay.
Room was nice and clean the indoor pool facility is awesome and the gift shop has anything you need. Snowboarding was cool and the bar the thirsty camel is good for a pit stop.
Group of us went New Year's Eve weekend and it was way to crowded. There were only a few trails open and the ones that were open were way to crowded. I am sure the weather had an impact on the snow conditions but there was way to much sugar.
The work environment is very hostile and a lot of harassment is being done by the supervisors working here! Especially, in the housekeeping department! This has been reported to the resort staff and mangers. A lot of employee discrimination is being done in this work place! This is going on a lot on the 6th floor of the facility! I would highly not recommend this place for employment! The people here discriminate against people of a certain background and family values! This place needs a new staffing agency!! The manager on the 6th floor allows the employees to be discriminated against and be treated unfairly! This place needs a makeover very terrible place to work at! The employees get no breaks at this facility. The department of labor needs to come visit this work environment!! The most hostile environment you can ever work in!!! The housekeeping agency is absolutely, unprofessional!!!
I have 10 Reasons Not to Stay 1. Indoor Waterpark Food Court is 45 minute wait for uncooked food. 2. Parking lot activity is straight out of Compton with loud music and foul language. 3. Better book your adventures in advance because everything is sold out before you get there. 4. The rooms are DATED and Dirty, nothing like the pictures. 5. The New Cafe serves raw fish but they claim people like it after only being open for 4 days 6. We stayed on the first floor, cigarette and roach clips thrown down on you daily 7. Outdoor Waterpark is OVER booked, 3 hours for 2 waterslides 8. Staff thinks your complaints are funny and management attempts to clean it up 9. OVER PRICED, paid $1,000 per Day 10. Better to AirBnB and use the facility like 80% of the guests using this establishment. You pay they play
ARRIVAL We had read online that we could check into the water park at 12:30, and so we planned accordingly. We pulled up to the front entrance and saw men in orange jackets rushing toward other cards, unloading their bags and skis while the family casually walked into the resort. It looked great... Except that nobody rushed toward our car. We waited. Nothing. Finally, we drove around and around to find a parking spot in the farther periphery of the resort and carried our many bags and skis and boots in a series of tiring trips to the resort. At the first trip, we realized that we needed a cart. I searched for a cart in the foyer while watching our luggage and kids while my husband went back to the car to get more stuff. While I was standing in the foyer, I overheard a man in an orange jacket training another man in an orange jacket. He said something like "When a really nice car drives up, you run out and get their bags. If they don't tip you right away, you can put your initials on their room bill and they'll tip you later." I was shocked. Had they not run to our car because it wasn't considered "nice" enough? We had driven my 2016 Subaru Forester. Do Subarus not qualify for valet service? Nonetheless, we were determined to enjoy our stay.
HOTEL STAY We stayed in 467 for one night. It was one of the poorest night's sleep ever due to the noise from the couple(s) in the next room. Starting at 10 pm, a man began banging on the door of our nextdoor neighbor's room, shouting "OPEN THE F-ING DOOR. I KNOW HE'S . IN THERE!" My kids were awake within minutes, asking what was happening. The shouting and banging continued for about 40 mins. It sounded like at least one of them was intoxicated. It was so unsettling and disruptive that we had a hard time sleeping.
SKI TICKETS The craziest thing about the complementary ski tickets was that nobody could tell us what time the ski lifts started. The woman at the activity desk next to the arcade told me that the lifts started at 8 am. We checked the trail map, but there aren't times listed on the trail maps. So, we got everyone ready for 8:00. This morning, we went down to the ski rental/ski storage area, and the guy told us that the lifts start at 9 am. When I told him that the woman at the activity desk said 8, he said that he wasn't too sure but he didn't see anything happening yet. It was all very confusing! If you've ever gotten children dressed in 3 layers of ski clothes, you know that telling them to take off their layers and relax for 45 mins is not a great way to start a ski day.
SKI ACCIDENT When we got to the mountain, we could see that it was VERY VERY windy. We figured that they wouldn't let people ski if it was dangerous. Plus, we had come for the skiing. My kids recently finished 6 weeks of ski lessons at Thunder Ridge in Patterson, NY. They've been skiing for 3 years and love to try new runs. We were all excited. But the wind was really strong. My kids were getting blown backward on their skiis. Finally, we boarded and road to the top on Bailey. About 5 mins into our run (where Birches meets Meadows), my 6 year old son was blown sideways down a snow embankment. I couldn't get to him. I tried to side step to him, but I was also struggling in the rain. He was sobbing. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. Finally, a very nice ski patrol guy in a yellow jacket came along. His name was Greg. He radioed some more crew to come to our assistance. A medic named Rich came next. Rich helped us to the bottom of the mountain. He said that with 78 MPH winds, the accident was understandable. We called it a day. All four of us went back to the resort, collected our belongings and drove 2 hours home to New York.
We had really wanted to love Camelback. It's an easy 2 hour drive from our house. Unfortunately, we didn't create any fabulous memories at Camelback this weekend. It's hugely disappointing!! I sincerely hope other families have a better experience.
Plenty of activities for all ages from a great waterpark and skiing, to an arcade, laser tag, virtual reality games, and putt putt. Plus a bunch of activities and crafts like donut decorating every morning for the kids.
When I went, the few trails that were open were covered in ice or were low quality. Understandable because of traffic and temperature, but wasnt satisfied.
I had a great experience with my family and together with our friend's family. Despite the cold winter weather we were able to swim in a warm pool. There is just so much to do in this place! Our short overnight stay wasn't enough to explore more but definitely we are coming back in the future for another family getaway
Camelback has always been my choice in the Poconos. Great mountain, trails, and sdsff, st a reasonable price. Not to mention voted best instructional mountain in the nation!
The trails were in excellent condition and the staff was pleasant. The honeymoon trail was a little crowded, but that's not camelbacks fault. I will definitely be back.
Personally I think this is one of the better ski resorts within the area, especially within the Poconos. It is a relatively wide mountain and when all of the chairlifts are running it is a quick and easy resort to get around.
We decided to get out the house and have some fun with some big tubes lol! We had a blast man! You can really pick up some speed going down that hill, you almost feel like you're gonna fly off the mountain! We spent 2 days here just having fun. The tubing was by far my favorite part. I tried skiing and snow boarding but I'm way out practice lol. The orices weren't bad either. Everyone there had a smile on their face! Will be coming back soon!
Had a great time here. They have night skiing, terrain park and tubing. Kids love it! There a few shops outside that rent great equipment for less than the mountain. Plan on starting very early though the lines can get very long after 8am. A lot of newbies in skateboard on green trails. The best is to ski early take a break around noon and come back at 3pm.
This place is fun and a normal place to go to at least once a year. It's a bit expensive, and sometimes the lines are annoying, but generally enjoyable.
Recommendation: Go during the week if possible, the lines ate much smaller. (This applies to most places.)
Camelback was great. Got snowboarding lessons for the kids and the instructor was awesome. Staff if very friendly and extremely helpful. Equipment rental and lift tickets ate denlcently price. I will continue to go to Camelback over any other mountain in the area.
I've been here over 20 times. Overall a quality mountain for the area. Often times gets too crowded. Also more expensive than other mountains in the area. High speed Stevenson lift is a plus.
Its a good Waterpark but completely over priced. Some of the rides weren't open, 2 out of the 5 slides in the Pharoah kids area were closed. 51 DOLLARS for 3 orders of chicken tenders and fries and 3 mini bags of doritos. MORE EXPENSIVE THAN DISNEY. That being said, it was fun.
I went to just about every waterpark in Pennsylvania this summer, and Camelbeach is unquestionably the best park in the state.
Without a doubt, the Triple Venom slides are the scariest waterslides, and perhaps the scariest ride, I've ever seen. All of the rides in this park are well-maintained and offer a great variety. Unlike Sandcastle, which is located next to a polluted river in a dilapidated train depot, the mountain setting at Camelbeach is interesting. Wildwater Kingdom charges almost twice as much and is so inefficient that you'll end up waiting five times as long for each ride that's five times less interesting. And Delgrosso's is too small to be worth spending more than a few hours, while Camelbeach provides more than enough activities to fill an entire day. Parking here is free, and the food inside is great.
I remember when this park used to have one alpine slide, two waterslides, a pool, and some bumper boats. The owners' investment certainly paid off, and this park is well-worth your visit.
The skilifts are very slow. The unloading area are full of ice and lack snow, therefore 3 out of 4 people are falling, slowing down or stopping the skilift. This is making a 3 min trip to last 20 min. We gave up today and we didn't return. I cannot wait 45 min to an hour to reach the slope for every downhill ride.
