I will never get tired of my Camelback! Love it and will be back soon!
There is a reason why Camelback has so many wonderful reviews and is the most popular Poconos resort. The staff are wonderful, fun and clearly enjoy working there. The waiting area is superb with the refreshments and food and the super cozy firepits. The slopes are wonderful, never crowded even if it seems that there are tons of people , things are so organized and tubing goes super quick. Tandem and single tubes are great for those of us that love going with their partners or children . Overall just a wonderful place to spend a few hours or a whole day whether you are looking for a date idea or a family day out
Although it's considered a "family friendly" resort, it is a blast for all ages. I am 24 and went with a bunch of people around my age on a work trip and it was really fun. The water park slides we're more intense than anyone was expecting, and the swim up bar was a good time. The slopes we're well maintained too. I'm not used to greens actually being powdery but they were.
Very clean. The life gaurds were very watchful of everyone. We had so much fun. There so many things to. we will be back
This is one of my favorite ski resorts. The trails are easy and fun to ride. Most of the time you will get snow rather than ice. The slope of the mtn. Is no t very steep.
This rating is only for the snow tubing, the factuality treated our group (rented exclusive) worse than the public on a busy day. So if you're going to public, you'll get 4 stars!!
This is a fantastic place for families....specially for the childrens. I diffenitely recommend it
Great family friendly water park! I gave it a 4 star for the following reason/s: at check in , they don't allow you to bring a water bottle nor any drink at all...my nephew had a small bag of Skittles and he had to throw it out. The prices for the food is too expensive so we brought food from home and left it in a cooler inside the car. *my suggestion for all is, PLAN AHEAD before going...go during the WEEK and buy the "Four for Fun" rather than buying individual tickets...its more expensive and crowded in the weekend and you'll have to wait long lines to get on the rides. Over all we had fun!!!
Nice place and snow the time we went there just too crowded. If you have like a group of people with you, you will be able to save on group package.
It was a really cool experience. Specially the indoor water park!!! Loved it!
Check in was very inefficient, the line was long, only 2 people working at the desk (4-5 standing there) we had reserved a check in at 1:30, stood in line for over 40 minutes and was told our room was not ready. Went to the water park (nice but more crowded than I thought considering the hotel was supposed to be opening at <50% capacity due to COVID-19) was supposed to receive text when room was ready. Called to inquire about the room, finally got one at 5:45, had to wait in line again for over 30 minutes.
The 2nd day went to the front desk to be able to charge to the room ( most places open didn't take cash or if they did needed exact change) waited in line again, they charge $200 a day (even though we didn't do this until 2nd day) was charged $600 a hold on your card not credited back until 7-10 days after check out. Very little social distancing being practiced.
My experience at camelback was not to full satisfaction. The staff is pretty nice, and my suite was pretty nice too. The thing is, there are so many bugs in my room. Overall, my visit here was satisfactory.
I have skied here and also beem to Camelbeach. Both awesome family attractions.
Favorite place to ski come up from NY once a year, fun clean and a quick weekend get away.
We decided to get out the house and have some fun with some big tubes lol! We had a blast man! You can really pick up some speed going down that hill, you almost feel like you're gonna fly off the mountain! We spent 2 days here just having fun. The tubing was by far my favorite part. I tried skiing and snow boarding but I'm way out practice lol. The orices weren't bad either. Everyone there had a smile on their face! Will be coming back soon!
No social distancing or mask mandates being enforced. Will only refund the ticket for another day. You're better off going a little farther to Blue Mountain where they are safer and limit the amount of people on the mountain. Come here at your own risk.
Workers there were amazing and friendly, had a great time!
We visited for 3 days/2 nights with 3 kids ages 13,12, and 8. Overall the trip was good but for the money we spent I don t know if I would say I who d return to do it all over again. I ll start with the ok parts then the better parts.
Before we even arrived I received a text message that 4 of the water slides were currently not working. When we checked in we asked and got very conflicting answers. One person said they would be back up in a couple hours and someone else said a pipe burst and it would be days before it could be fixed. That was a bummer for not only that day but the following day also since only 2 slides came back up. I am not sure about our check out day if the slides came back up because we didn t check. But since we had older kids who specifically wanted to ride those it kinda stunk. We did ask the front desk for compensation and it was tougher than it should ve been to get them to understand the issue. We heard another employee telling a customer that since we don t pay for the water park it s just included with your hotel stay that their was nothing they were going to do. The hotel room was over $300 a night....that price is that expensive because it includes the water park and that s why we booked there so since there is an issue something even small could be done to compensate because that s a lot of money spent to not be able to use what is advertised. In the end they did remove the resort fee ( $45) and gave us some arcade credits so it was better than nothing.
We also booked snow tubing when we got there for that evening because we wanted to do the galactic tubing. When we got there we noticed only one hill for the tubing was open. It was mildly crowded but we only to had to wait 2 or 3 turns until we got to go down. But by the time we got back up for our second run they had even closed half of those lanes and the crowd had more than doubled. So for the crowd now there was about 8 lanes open. We only went down 4 times total so that was kind of a waste of money for what we got.
Now the positives :) Every employee was so nice and helpful and a pleasure to interact with. Especially Matt in the coffee cafe on the main level, he was so sweet! They are not having housekeeping come into the rooms but with a simple text to request more bath towels we had them in no more than 5 minutes. Also the employees are doing an absolutely exceptional job of keeping common areas sanitized and safe. Especially in the arcade! I saw the woman constantly wiping things down after people were using them. It was very refreshing to see and made us feel safe about being there.
Overall we had a fun time but just from a money stand point and what was closed or not fully open I don t know that I would spend the money to do it again.
Great waterpark and ski resort all around well run establishment
The layout is a little confusing to find what we need (lockers, rentals, bathrooms, etc.) when we first arrived at the mountain. As a snowboarder, I found the beginner slopes to be ok. They need to improve the steepness levels. Found myself getting stuck often at points where it was too flat when you least expected it. The intermediate slopes were paved better so no complaints there. I was a little disappointed and shocked at how early they closed the cafeteria too. My group had a late lunch and we almost missed our chance! Overall the experience could have been better but good enough to revisit now that I'm more familiar with the way things work around here.
An hour and 7 minutes on hold and never got to speak to a customer representative... guess they're not ready to have people spending money at their resort!!
I only visited the Trail's End grill, but the building was very nice and the food and service were great.
Well maintained facility with multiple choices to explore.
Great place for all ages. The kids had so much fun!
I took my family over the weekend to have an enjoyable time. After spending $498 dollars for the three of us, we had to pay for:
-Parking $10
-Lockers $10-$30 (Sold out)
-Helmet $15
-Group training for first-timer - At an additional cost (sold out)
Since we didn't know how to ski, we tried ourselves at the bottom of a hill and watched others. Then we went to the Guest line or customer service. We explained the situation, they said for a refund, I have to email them. I haven't heard back from them until today. We only lasted for 2 hours after paying for the whole day. So I guess customer service lied to us....and I'm now looking at their website that says no refunds available.
COVID19: OMG, this place was so crowded, locker rooms, ski areas, people were not doing social distancing and no enforcement on mask whatsoever.
We didn't have a good time because we wanted to learn how to ski. It was our first time. Instead, we dump $500 dollars in 2 hours for lift (which we never used), ski rentals (we didn't know how to use), and customer service completely lied to us instead of saying that they have a no-refund policy. Anyways, I guess we rather spend $500 dollars on a beautiful Caribbean beach or in Upstate New York.
PS: Their website sucks as well; with all the money that they make, they could have a much more friendly website and better customer service.
Very crowed and very unorganized with the lifts and so on.
Fun place to ski/snowboard. Staff is friendly and beer is flowing
I had a wonderful experience skiing at Camelback. Buying a ticket and renting equipment was quick and easy. I loved the trails. Food wasn't as expensive as I thought it would be. I will come back here again.
Stayed here over the weekend and was incredibly disappointed. Aside from only have on hot tub that was full, and i mean full of kids, they only had one bar open. The bartender at one point said to me, "we are really busy, if your still here when i come back around i will help you." They all looked so inexperienced and in need of leadership. They must have forgotten that kids come with adults who want to enjoy their time as well.
We went to the grand opening of the new Italian restaurant at Camelback. They had a great turnout and it is a beautiful place. We tasted many dishes. My favorite was the ravioli. Here is a view from upstairs.
Went snowboarding here over the weekend. Easy to get to but parking is pretty mediocre. Slopes were good.
As ski resorts in the poconos go id say this is one of the top. Its bettet than any of the others in close proximity.
great place for skiing and snowboarding. easy rode from northern NJ
Updating my review. Despite my experience below I still went to Camelback this past season and decided to stop by the customer service center to see if anyone could help me. The representative I spoke to set me up with a comp ed gear rental quickly and with almost no questions asked. Still only giving four stars because if I hadn t taken the initiative the poor phone and online based customer service would ve left me high and dry.
They don t stand by their rentals. The binding on my rental board came apart while I was coming down the slope. It took me an hour to walk down the rest of the mountain to customer service. They had me fill out a form and told me the next rental would be comped. I just called up to redeem the gear rental and they tell me they have no record. I should have insisted on a copy, but they should also be more professional...
Realy nice environment. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The roomservice was impeccable.
Great place for a fun day. The water park offers many different body slides and tube rides! Employees work efficiently to keep people moving. You can also take a ride on the ski lift to the top of the hill, on the way down you have a beautiful sight. Overall great experience.
Good mountain for families and beginners. Offers diverse terrain and handles crowds well.
Always fun place, they have twilight hours for the working folks who want to get in runs after work. I drive 2 hours just to come here for evening runs.
It's a good place for the family we had a lot of fun but the food is not very good
I had a lot of fun. For a beginner the bunny slope is pretty good. Enjoyed my time there. Will come again.
Used to be my favorite mountain until I found another. Its a decent mountain but too commercial and prices are high. The facility is very well maintained though. The trails are too short and some not wide enough. It gets very crowded.
It was alot of things to do. Food was good i love the lazy river.
It was very entertaining and the workera are very friendly
The amenities at camelback are great. There is a wide variety of slopes and the water park is amazing. Overall the pricing was fair but food was a bit over priced. However, the staff is not very accommodating. If not for the staff I would rate this place much higher. That being said, my overall experience was positive and I would recommend it just be prepared forbablack luster staff.
We had such a great time I recomend this place to everyone
It's a long hole to get to the bunny slopes. Snow machines were very loud and blew all over me on the chair lift.
Not so much fun for my 2 year old son but my 5 year old daughter and 11 year old cousin had a blast.
I have been comming with my family since they opened. This time was the worst by far. Upkeep seems to be lacking people laying inbthe hallways at all hours of the day. High prices on rooms and 3 dollar 20 oz sodas. The worst thing is went to the water park and nothing is open. They told me they were short staffed. I wasn't charged like you were short staffed. I paid a regular price and it's 12 your park opened at 10 and 2 slides are open with lines all the way to the bottom steps. Not sure I will continue the yearly trips here anymore.
It is explendido, very beautiful and beautiful, good to recreate.
Very good considering the warm temperatures. Great place to take the kids for skiing and park fun.
Good skiing place for learning. Snow tubing is great experience and ski learning sessions are good
Great place for skiing, boarding, and tubing. Adventure park with zip lines and ropes course, alpine slide, mountain coaster. And a waterpark indoor and outdoor.
So fun, super cool! Excellent for the entire family to be active and enjoy fun time together. The food is good and not pricy.
Arrive at 10am and can't get on the slopes until1pm after having to wait in lines for nearly 3 hrs picking up lift tickets and gear. Figure this out Camelback!
We had a blast on the mountain with the outdoor activities! It's a decent value, but it can add up quickly. So much to do here.
Music volume should be lower, otherwise good place to visit
Skiing conditions were great but the layout of the mountain is very awkward and involved a lot of walking from lift to lift
I liked it there. The trails were good and they groomed them both days we were there. There were a lot of green and blue trails which was good for me. The food and service was good and the mountain top restaurant was really nice too. I recommend this ski resort to all levels of skiers.
The place was very nice. They had a lot to do and everyou person was really nice
Getting tickets at the window was quick and easy but to get rentals... another story! Whole process took and hour just waiting in line! As you can see on pictures there is a lot of people and no body at the window to give out boots and helmets! During covid to have this many people in the building standing still doesn t seem they are doing their job to keep everyone safe!
Come here every year, we rent a condo for the season and get to do so it of sking very nice an slots of fun
The resort was beautiful. I was only able to experience the snowtubing. Their tickets for tubing a first come first serve. My whole group was not able to participate because tickets sold out. I purchased my tickets online. I will be back to try the skiing.
We love this ski slope. Not as many double black diamonds as blue mountain, but the lodge food is delicious! Fun trip!
Very nice place to get away for the weekend close to the city NYC
