I was given a season pass for Christmas. I was so excited... until I got to the mountain.
Today was my third day attempting to get the pass and had to stand in a 75 min line to do so. Meanwhile, there are 10 open windows next door with employees just sitting there.
Once I got to the snow, I was greeted with another 25 minute line to get onto the lift.(absolutely zero organization or mask enforcement in any of the lift lines).
Camelback's social media says their only letting in 50 percent capacity and this just isn't true. Lifts and trails are packed and unsafe.

This past weekend we went to camelback for a little skiing weekend. Fair warning, I have never skied a day in my life. With Covid going around like wildfire, we thought it wouldnt be a bad weekend to go, but boy were we wrong. There was absolutely no covid protocols in place. On Saturday (Day 1) we got there at 9:15 and there were at least 300 plus people on line to get lift tickets. Besides this everyone on line who already had lift tickets did not have their masks on. People just refused to wear them and the workers didn't even mandate them. Granted we were all outside but when there is no social distancing available, everyone should have there masks on. Trying to get into a restaurant after skiing was an absolute nightmare as well. As I walked around the resort people were all crowded in the main areas sitting on the floor eating. There was easily 800 or more people inside these small areas and none of the tables were 6 feet apart. When we finally decided to go into the thirsty camel to eat the restaurant was at 100% capacity and not listening to the PA Guidelines at all. The only rule they followed was the bar being closed and no one allowed to sit there. Sunday was even worse. We got there later then Saturday and all the parking lots were filled to capacity. Just think about how many people that is already. We had to park miles away just to be able to get skiing. The lines for the lifts easily took 30 minutes to get on and then going down the mountain was only about 45 seconds. Once again no one was wearing masks though. When someone finally complained to a worker all the worker said was "Thank you for your feedback"and proceeded to do nothing. At one point there was even no worker at the lifts to facilitate who goes when, so it was just a mad house. I found it very unprofessional of them to continue selling tickets when they were clearly past max capacity for Covid rules. Will I ever go back there? Probably not. After spending nearly $400 on lift tickets and renting skis there are plenty of other mountains I could travel too for way cheaper and these places probably will listen to Covid protocols.

Great slopes, well kept. Be sure that the weather is good, foggy weather can ruin your stay. There are plenty of slopes for those who are new to skiing or snowboarding, and also tougher ones for visitors experienced in snow sports and want to have some fun. Great for families. There is a rental shop that has both child and adult skis/snowboards, poles, boots, and helmets, plus bindings and repairs. Bring your own equipment if you want to skip the line. During the summer, there is a waterpark and "Camelback Mountain Adventures", if that floats your boat. There are restaurants, but they can and will rip you off, so sneak in your own food to save money. All around great resort for family, friends, beginners, and hardcore skiers/snowboarders.

It was my first time to a ski park. The staff is amazingly helpful. There are always long lines at the ticket counters. After 5pm, they closed all the counters except one and it had a reduclulosly long line. All the rental gear were in good condition. Helmets were an additional $12. Open until 9pm but only one lift was kept open from 8pm onwards. Overall a good place, abundant trails and quite close to NYC

Some of the water slides are a lot of fun, others are lame. The park is really small so not really worth it at the prices they charge. Recommend going after the 4pm discount if you don't mind a bit of a crowd.

We came the Sunday before Presidents Day / Monday Holiday... we were expecting a smallish hill & terribly long lines everywhere lol.
We went to Pocono Ski Rentals to pickup ski blades. Highly recomm this shop - quick friendly service & much cheaper than renting at the slopes. The younger gent recomm other ski resorts but the older gent recomm Camelback being it was the largest mtn in the Poconos so can handle the volume/crowds but to avoid the 2 high speed quads - he was right on!
We were directed to park offsite & just missed the shuttle so hiked over to the lodge vs waiting for another shuttle.
There were multiple lines to buy/pickup passes... the super short line was to pickup online orders. PRO TIP: So I jumped back online & finished buying the 2 tix I had pending checkout from earlier... Walked up to the super short line, showed the 2 scan bars to the lady & had 2 printed tags in hand in under 5mins .
We went went up to the slopes & looked around & reviewed the map - the mountain was much larger than I expected - we put on our blades & headed far left toward what I consider large bunny hills lol. My spouse is a beginner, this was his ~3rd time skiing in his entire life & our 1st time ever on ski blades. We got so lucky, the night prior they had a record low so the weather that day was unexpectedly nice/balmy . The lift lines moved fairly quickly .
They make snow so it can get quite icy in areas, to be expected. We skiied all the greens that seemed easily accessible from the double & triple lifts since we avoided the crowded quads. The 2 greens on the far right seemed less icy, a bit more powder so we favored those. After 3+ hours of strait skiing my spouse was pooped & a bit sore using muscles not so commonly used so we called it a day.
We picked up a shuttle bus on the far right in the parking lot - you just have to ask if they can drop you off at which lot & they will let you know. The open air shuttles seemed only direct for the resort.
I would def come again! Also to try the snow tubing & the indoor water park. You can see huge wind-y water slides all thruout the mountain around the ski areas so summer's here are prob quite fun as well - a unique destination!
I've skiied all over the US & also in Japan.

We went to Camel Beach Water Park on Father's day and had an amazing time! The rides are great and the backdrop is stunning. It was quieter than usual since it was Father's day which was wonderful. This is our annual tradition and look forward to it each year.

This review is based on my opening weekend experience, they poorly execute COVID precautions. Very crowded and did not attempt to disperse the crowd or enforce masks. Waited over an hour for my season ticket in the freezing cold temperatures , even though I arrived an hour prior to the opening. So many collisions on the mountain because they only open one bunny slope from the peak. I choose camelback this year because they had a cheaper season pass for my age group usually ski at JFBB. I m not upset about the crowds but they could ve been a more strategic, for example
1. Season pass holders could ve emailed a photo to camelback consumer service printed the ticket and disperse passes with a photo ID that would ve reduced the Covid risk to your consumer care agents and wait times .
2. To help reduce crowd size. open two lifts to the peak on opposite sides of the mountain. Hard to imagine you did not have enough snow to open an additional trail, as we had cold front throughout the month of December and a snow storms two day prior.
I ll add an addendum to this comment when they open more of the mountains is open.

The place was okay ... I don't like traveling up hills especially since you have Hurricane Harbor not too far and also Dorney Park. The only thing I would say about Camelbeach is the water park only the wave pool which provided pretty strong waves as compared to the other two places. The place was kind of easy to get to getting in wasn't so bad. Customer service there was really good and acceptable I felt welcome there but other than that they could use some remodeling. I will choose Dorney Park over Camelbeach Resort water park

Stayed here for NYE and it was horrible. Room was sus and dirty upon arrival, we even found an open pack of syrup on the floor. The fireplaces in the pictures are non existent in the rooms despite us getting a suite. Hot water was malfunctioning in the building (staff said boilers are down sorry ). Constant banging and drilling due to construction and they never mentioned it during booking and the on-site staff said you ll have to deal with it . Nobody answers the phone when you try to call the resort (I dare you to try). - The best you ll get is a return call back from a 3rd party company that can t help and will offer to arrange another call back by a 3rd party company.

I spent the day at the water park. Typical water park slides. What sets this one apart is the setting. It's on the side of the mountain which makes for a very pretty aesthetic. They have group deals on tickets, and tents with tables are available for rental. Plenty of free parking, somewhat removed from the entrance, and 20$ parking that is much closer.

Disheartening experience. Did not bring my gear as I was going to teach my kids how to snowboard (5 and 7), clearly I was not going to be on a board. However I was required to rent equipment and purchase a lift Tix in order to teach them ($130ish). Ohh... One also gets the privilege of paying $10-$40 to park ( haven't boarded in 2 years so maybe all mtns do this now??). I did sign my son up for a 90 min group lesson; I had taken my son out a day previous to a different location where it was free to be on the bunny slope. I asked him post lesson what he learned... " Nothing.". I pressed and asked about basic skills and he said " no". After a rather unsuccessful 2- 3 hours we moved over to the snow tub area, sweet!? We managed to squeeze 4 runs out of our 2 hour slot- good news we didn't have to pay the $10 parking fee bc we skied earlier.

Waiters were great but once again they we re running around like chickens without heads. Literally no one was available to bus tables. We were surrounded by dirty tables for our entire meal. Where are the busers? With the threat of Covid still looming there should be separate people to bus tables.
Once again the waitress was extremely friendly and accommodating but they were obviously short-staffed. They were literally running around and looked over-worked. I consider this abusive to employees.
I waited for a very long time to resolve simple issues. I was on hold for almost a half hour. They admitted that they are short staffed. Unfortunately I paid full price for my room and expected the place to be properly staffed.
Not sure if housekeeping is responsible for the bathroom vent. It was covered in dust and aggravated my allergies. Otherwise everything else was clean and they bought us towels fast and were very polite.
Every time I have stayed at a ski in or out hotel, they have been able to print out lift tickets for us. It s ridiculous that we had to waste time looking for another window. Also they should give you a more secure envelope for the lift and breakfast tickets. They fell out and then they gave us a hard time even though it said we paid for it.
Person who made the reservations was very nice. I was not told that I needed to make restaurant reservations in advance for every single meal and that they would be short staffed.
The waiters were excellent and bent over backwards to accommodate us. The hostess told us there was a wait instead of just bussing the table herself. We asked for a seat by the bar. While we were waiting she another woman came in with a small child and she sat them before us right in the area we had requested. Who would sit a toddler on a high top chair? No common sense! Then when we said something we still had to wait and then didn t get a table by the bar.
The rooms are not properly insulated and you can everything in the adjacent rooms.
I don t think there will be a next visit and I will be posting my comments and pictures. Shame on management for especially not responding to my text about the luke warm showers and not addressing issues during our stay. The way you are treating your staff is abusive and they are being taken advantage of.

This review is specific to 12/27/2013. We've generally been a fan of Camelback as a decent place to ski close to home. However, the lines for tickets on 12/27 were over an hour long, completely disorganized, and generally a mess. Even after purchasing tickets online and showing up to claim them, we were told to stand in different lines (depending on who we asked) with little sign of movement n those lines. Folks who had been there for 45 minutes were still dozens of spots away from the front.
Anticipated that there might be lines, but nothing like this. Gave up and went elsewhere.

This will be my last time visiting Camelback unless there are some changes made. Its a shame because I used to really enjoy it.
-Parking is now $10 for the lower lots! It was always free before and seems obnoxious on top of a $60 lift ticket.
-They only had one double chair running to the top of the mountain. The lines were incredibly long wait times. And when we asked why none of the other lifts were running we could not get an honest answer.
I did not get my money's worth and will not be returning anytime soon.

Camelback mountain resort is a really great place to bring a your family for a vacation or just plain old good time. They have skiing amd boarding for all ages and levels with all relevant equipment available on site. They also offer and extensive learning program to learn how to Ski and Board. Additionaly, they have a really fun snow tube park for those who dod not wish to ski. What's more is that they have an amazing water park 4 some indoor wet fun! All these attractions are on site within a few minutes drive of the lodge. I cannot forget to memtion there various other activities such as mini golf and lazer tag as well! Our rooms were very clean and spacious with a refrigerator microwave and the a nice big couch which turned into a bed for extra sleeping space. The only drawback was that some of the lines were quite long. All in all my family had an AMAZING TIME!

We've stayed at Camelback a couple of times becaus...
We've stayed at Camelback a couple of times because it's our favorite mountain to go snowboarding but the hotel is extremely overpriced and unorganized. The room keys give you problems on a regular basis, the check-in line is usually extremely long, they charge you extra for parking even though you're paying a lot to stay at the hotel, they don't even give you a coffee machine in the basic rooms, when you purchase vouchers to the mountain, you then have to redeem the voucher at one of two locations and there are extremely long lines so what you thought was going to be a relaxing vacation ends up being work. The whole process there is meant to save THEM money on staffing at the cost of the hotel guests' time and frustration. There are some very minor things they could be doing to give a much better experience to guests but they choose not to. I also tried contacting the hotel about these issues after my stay and had significant issues because they're so disorganized. I was bounced around to multiple different phone numbers and was told to email someone even though I was talking to a representative from the hotel. I ended up interacting with about four different people and none of them we're equipped to take these basic complaints/advice for changes. In the end I was told I would get a call back but never received one. It's just a mess over there.
