Stayed there January 2018. We had items take from our room while we were out and had a "do not disturb" sign on our door. Hotel confirmed that housekeeping went into our room and found 1 item that was taken but an expensive necklace was never found. We have filed a police report. Very stressful experience.

If I could give this hotel less than a 1 star I would. We reserved a room that sleeps 6 people. Upon coming back to the room at the end of the night they would not allow all 6 of us upstairs. Why advertise a 6 person room?

They forced 2 of my friends to LEAVE the hotel at 3am. They did not care they had been drinking and did not care if they had to drive home. We had to arrange rides from Oshawa to pick 2 girls up in Toronto.

The customer service is a disgrace. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

We just entered our suite to find a nicely decorated room. However, the countertops are not clean with observable grime and the bedroom TV does not work. Color me disappointed.

UPDATE: we advised the front desk staff and were offered another room, which we accepted. We loved the view. Unfortunately, the new room had the same countertop issue as the room we left. We were comped the breakfast buffet, which was a step above the usual buffet found elsewhere and had very attentive staff serving coffee and clearing dishes.

I have been to Cambridge Suites many times. As a London resident my company always had Cambridge Suites in its discount program and I always chose this destination. Since I have stopped working for my previous employer I haven't had a need to travel to Toronto much. I went down recently for a personal weekend getaway, checked in, and was not made aware of this no guest policy until I reached my room and saw a laminated piece of paper on my desk. I felt this 0 tolerance to guests and parties was usual warning that you see at a few other hotels and thought nothing of it. As we were in Toronto over night we decided to meet some of our local friends and have a few drinks downtown. At the end of the night we returned to the hotel with another couple (friends) for a few more drinks and to catch up. We were stopped at the entrance of the lobby and asked to check in via room number. This felt like I was trying to get into a nightclub and not my overnight accommodation of which I was a paying customer/guest. They validated that only myself and 1 other person were allowed in, but if I chose to pay $50 I could have them stay. We said they were only coming up for 1 drink and leaving and they told us no about their no guests past 11pm policy. We exchanged some frustrating words regarding the inconvenience this has caused not I only us but our friends and had our friends to take a cab back home. As I approached the elevator the one staff member stopped is Andrew asked me who the lady I was going up to my room with was. I said," are you serious? This is my wife. She booked the God damn room". And they persisted to ask for her ID. She provided it and we went to our room extremely annoyed and beyond angry. I will never in my life stay at this hotel ever again. I will make sure every review outlet knows this incident and everyone I know as well. This was the worst experience I have ever had as a guest in any hotel I have ever been to in my entire life.

The site has very nice feature including a sitting room sepparated from the bedroom by double doors, 2 TV's and a good size bathroom accessible from both rooms. The building is quiet and signs posted indicated the is no tolerance for parties. The staff are polite, friendly, and attentive

Great hotel and excellent location for shopping, theatres and the whole T.O. experience. The staff is top notch, friendly and so helpful. Taxis are always available right outside the front entrance if you need to use one. Our suite was awesome and also the restaurant...really good breakfast buffet! Definitely stay here again on my next visit to T.O.

Excellent suites at excellent prices. Very comfortable, but you are only a short distant from an ambulance garage, so you may hear the sirens. Staff very helpful & courteous. Wi-Fi was very good. Only stayed 1 night, but $20 ($27 with taxes) parking fee allowed us to remained parked in the underground, attached garage until 6 pm of the check-out day. (You DO NOT need to pay for a parking ticket in the garage before check-in. Be sure to know your plate number when you arrive.) Five minute walking distance to St. Michael's Hospital, allowing you to leave your vehicle at the Suites!

Excellent hotel treated us very excellent. Minibar and snacks in the room were fairly priced. Bed is very comfortable and while I m not used to paying for parking judging from prices of other park aces parking is on or just above average pricing (so maybe the same or a bit more expensive as other places). Would definitely stay here again.

Very pleasant staff and large, clean rooms. Appreciate that the basic suite has a separate bedroom, microwave, fridge, large sink/counter area outside of the bathroom and ample workspace. Very comfortable bed. Prices in room (snacks/beverages) are somewhat reasonable compared to other places. Guests can get a short-term membership at the 24 hour Goodlife gym around the corner even though they have a small rooftop gym. Hotel has a policy on guests and noise, which is good.

Jackhammer across the street starts at 7:30. Here's the picture out of room 310 - they're excavating for a high rise, so it's going to be a while. On the plus side the WiFi here is nice and fast. There is a Path entrance right in the parking garage so LOTS of food is very close by. The room is a bit quirky, bathroom door hits the toilet and things are a bit crooked.

Always a pleasure to stay at this hotel. Rooms are clean and quiet, beds are very comfortable and the food is very good at the restaurant. I enjoy eating at the bar and having a drink while chatting to Richard the bartender who provides excellent and very friendly service.

Very clean, exceptional service.

We really enjoyed this hotel. The rooms are spacious and intelligently laid out. My family of three did not feel they were tripping over each other. Each of us had our own space for relaxation. The front desk and cleaning staff are fantastic. The beds were extremely comfortable and there was a lot of storage space for our clothing.

The only cons I felt were the absurdly difficult entrance/exit for the parking garage and the overpriced on-site restaurant.

Ive stayed here twice in less than a full year. Great experience both times! Location is wonderful, suites are well appointed, staff has always been nice and helpful. Will stay again. Love the quiet zone idea, there's nothing worse then staying somewhere where a group of 20 y/o 's are having a hotel party with noise all hours of the night, any way you won't have that issue here.

I NEVER leave reviews. In fact, I hate the "review culture" we live in however after my experience I feel compelled to be one of those people.

I got in on a Wednesday, had a quiet night in where it was rainy and miserable out. Woke up and the sun was out. Left somewhere around 8 AM for a few hours to get a coffee and some breakfast. Came back somewhere around noon'ish and my room was cleaned and turned over. I dropped my laptop bag off and headed back out to do some running around. I came back around 4 to get ready to head to a concert tonight and I noticed that my expensive bottle of Penhaligons cologne was missing from my travelling shave kit but the cap was left in the bag. I called down to the desk and the manager on by the name of Tony told me he spoke to the cleaning staff and they didn't take anything ....... no kidding...... and that he had to pass it along to his boss because they are not responsible for "lost items". This item wasn't lost. This item was stolen.

Avoid this hotel. I wish I had.

Very clean hotel! Front desk staff are very helpful, courteous, and attentive. Would've appreciated more hangers in the closet, but that's a minor suggestion more than a complaint. Would stay here again if I came to Toronto because of what you get for the price. It's so close to everything!!!

Nice room, as all are suites. Large vanity for getting ready. Nice shower and tub, nothing fancy though. We walked everywhere from this location. To bahn mi boys on yonge and back. To yonge square for concert and back. To chinatown then to cn tower then back. Great location
There were two people at checkin they were beyond helpful amd very attentive. The guy at checkout didn't ask how my stay was. :(
1 star deduction for plenty of traffic/construction noise
1 star deduction for 27 CAD plus tax for parking each day.

Tips.
I was asked if i had a room preference to me I didnt know was clueless.
As of right now a new high raise is going in. We were room 410 watched them build a crane on Saturday. Which woke us up before we wanted to be up. Also four floor can def here plenty of traffic ans louder people walkong on the street. I given a choice get as high as you can. That should help with noose traffic. Construction trucks came at all hours highly recommend asking to be on oppisite side of new high raise.

Great location in downtown Toronto! It's a little awkward to get to with the one way streets and the drop off zone can be busy. Parking is available but you have to pay extra for it. The room was nicely appointed with fully stocked wet bar, sitting area, solid table by the window, couple of closets, spacious bathroom, and a king sized bed and desk in the bedroom. That said, there were a couple of things that were odd. The toilet paper roll was mounted at floor level behind the toilet and there were numerous signs and notices stating that noisy and unregistered guests will not be tolerated. Why would they provide so much alcohol in the room if they really wanted to discourage rowdy behavior. The big negative experience i had was the heat. It felt like it was eighty degrees in the room the whole time. Even after seeing the thermostat to sixty, hot air was still being pumped into the room. Had a rough time trying to sleep both nights. I mentioned it to the front desk after the first night and the assured me that they would send maintenance up to check on it. Second night was no better. The staff were friendly but couldn't get it fixed during my stay. If you don't like sleeping in a sauna, i wouldn't recommend it. If you do, this is your place!

The hotel is very old. The carpet IN the rooms is very old. We arrived very late and when we went in to our room it had a strong odor of meaty stinky carpet.

We reported our concerns to the front desk within minutes of entering the room. We are told that they would get us a different room in the morning. When we looked at the room it had the same stinky old carpet.

The manager said that was all they had. We called Travelocity they could not get is a full refund. So we are forced to stay one more night. The manager was rude.

Great location for all the downtown amenities. Really enjoyed how Central this location is. 20 min from airport. 20 minute walk to Rogers. 8 minute walk to Eaton Center. Lots of good food.
The bed was hard as a rock and our second bedroom TV never worked at all unfortunately. The gym was pretty lacklustre in terms of equipment, like only one person could work out at a time. Hot tub was pretty good but needed a filter change for sure. Helpful staff for the most part. Would stay here again.

The night staff made us feel like criminals, not guests.

I stayed here with my husband, sister and brother in law. We had a suite which accommodated 4 adults and checked in together. We came back to the hotel from dinner later that evening and instead of being greeted, were asked by a group of men to give them our room number. We were told that no guests were allowed after hours and we have to pay an extra fee for two more adults as our online reservation indicated that two adults were staying in the room (auto-populated option). We absolutely would not have had an issue if this was mentioned at check-in. We paid the group of men (totally unnecessary) and one of them escorted us to the elevator.

The next morning the check-out staff treated our experience as highly irregular and apologized. However, it seems like it s an ongoing trend and a tactic to make more money reading through the reviews. They were to follow up with us and never did.

***YOU HAVE TO READ THIS**** Terrible experience, I tried to express my anger and feelings to the staff of a manager telling one of my friends to drive home while clearly intoxicated. And the general manager tried to put the blame on me rather than to fix the situation. Disgusting that we cannot express our concerns and they don't seem to want to take action to fix it. While on the phone with the manager his secretary interrupted the call saying "Call interruption call interruption! You have a call waiting" I have never heard that while on the phone with any high traffic call centre. Wouldn't even give me the time of day. Don't ever go here!
