Two things give me hope in humanity: dogs and seeing Endeavor, a retired 25-mission space orbiter, in person.

It takes my breath away every time I see it - its appearance so grand, its history so fascinating, and its embodiment of the immense accomplishments mankind has made in space exploration. It's seriously an incredible experience that I recommend to everyone. Plus, it's only $3/person to reserve a ticket.

Now back to dogs. Dogs are the sweetest, most wonderful animals in the world, and they love us. So we must be doing something right. (Guess what? There's a dog exhibit at the museum right now XD)

Came here to see the Tutankhamun exhibition.. and took a look at the Endeavor space shuttle and the rest of the exhibits. I felt overwhelmed.. complete tears of joy. With the environmental exhibition giving me tears of sadness.. Will come back.

The King Tut exhibit was spectacular! I really enjoyed the fact that the tickets are timed, so when you enter the exhibit there aren't hundreds of people trying to see the artifacts at the same time. There's room for you to get up front, without blocking other's view. I bought the exhibit book, Tutankhamun. It's the centenial anniversary of the founding of the tomb. Autographed by the assistant curator of the Cairo Museum, it's a beautiful book with very high quality photos of all the exhibit pieces. Well worth the $50. I did not buy the $6 audio tour, but it might have been useful if you're really interested in even more detail. I also enjoy the IMAX movie, The Treasures of Egypt. Omar Sharif was always a favorite of mine, and his portrayal of the grandfather, and narrator, was perfect. We also visited the Endeavor Space Shuttle exhibit, included with your King Tut ticket. For lunch, we walked across the USC campus, to The Village. An area of many shops and restaurants featuring all types of foods, at reasonable prices. Plan to be at the exhibit most of the day.

Show.

The traveling exhibits are almost always interesting and well crafted. Seeing the shuttle Endeavour should me mandatory for any Los Angeles resident and admission is free. The IMAX is also state of the art.

IF YOU RE CLOSING EARLY, SAY SO ON GOOGLE. We drove two hours and are told space shuttle exhibition is closed for event and museum closes at 300. When we got upset the girl at the desk argues with us open times are posted, well here s the proof it isn t.

Super

Free admission...yes!

Free admission...yes!
Interactive science...yes!
Being able to be a kid again...yes!

This place is great, I've been here a few times already and I still have fun. The place is more geared towards kids though and to spark their interest in the field of science. I guess this is why I became a chemistry major...

Anyways it's great to see all the things you can do in the Science Center and then don't forget to head down to see the Endeavour space shuttle!!

As far as parking is concerned, save your 10 bucks and find some street parking nearby in residential areas. A good walking distance would be on 39th and Vermont, it is a quick 5-10 min walk to the science center!

It's a very interactive museum, everything you see, you can use it. It's not that big, you can visit it in an hour. The cool part is obviously the Endeavor that is situated on the first floor. There is the IMAX theater where you can watch some short movies, I saw Apollo 11, it was interesting. The staff is kinda absent.

I recently chaperoned for my daughter's kindergarten class. We had a hard time navigating due to the excessive amount of people. The exhibits are okay; need some new ones. But the Panda movie at the IMAX was adorable.

One of the best places we went on the trip. At the time (May 2017) we only paid for parking - I think it was 12 dollars - and the Endeavor exhibition - only 2 dollars. Super interactive and complete museum, with several areas, a beautiful garden, restaurants, friendly attendants. Very cool for those who enjoy this type of attraction.

Very nice place to take your children they get to see amazing things while getting to spend time with the family. Children also have fun in the creative zone. The food was average, but the experience pirceless.

Lovely place to visit if you are interested in science, engineering and history of science. I really love the majestic military aircrafts on display. Not to mention the rose garden outside of it is a super beautiful place to spend some leisurely time at. If you were into shopping, you would be surprised by the quantity and quality of inventive things they are selling at the gift shop. Regardless of who you are and what you like and dislike, you would find something enjoyable at this local gem.

I was so excited to visit the museum... and was SO disappointed. Two exhibits were closed, and there was always something out of order in each room. The endeavour was the only exhibit I thought it was worth seeing. And keep in mind that even though entrance to the museum is free, parking cost me $12.
