Inconvenient payment method. We drove 35 miles to see this place and the parking only accepts cash. Who still carries around a ton of cash these days? Major banks are miles away and the surrounding place with mini ATMs are like those you see in gangbanger movies. No thanks. Turned around and went to the beach instead. Get your act together!

It s a great science museum but the pride and joy of the California Science Center is getting up close with Space Shuttle Endeavour. It is a joy that the space shuttle is here in Southern California. It was a long journey to get the space shuttle here, an adventure which is recapped in detail by the museum. From a flyby over the Hollywood sign, to towing it down city streets that were barely wide enough to accommodate it, to having it pulled by a sole Toyota Tundra over a freeway overpass, the story of how it got to Exposition Park is fantastic and wondrous. Much of the space shuttles were built in Southern California so it is fitting that the shuttle will live here for the long haul. Seeing the Endeavour in front of me was astonishing it looked larger than I thought it would and left my jaw dropped and a huge smile on my face. I also got to touch a space shuttle tire that had been in space, which was memorable.

This center comes highly recommended for anyone who's willing to engage historically profound exhibits. I was left dazed on my visit and informed as well.
It is kid-friendly and there are lots of keepsakes to buy as memoirs. The directional signs are well installed to make navigation around this facility a blissful experience.
There's a dog-specific section for fur lovers.

The Ca Science Ctr continues to not disappoint~so grateful for knowledge.
WOW to the Body World's:Pulse exhibit! The vision of Dr Gunther von Hagen & his amazing team of experts was marvelously displayed beyond my imagination. Anatomy in All its beauty has never looked so vivid and glorious. It is the best exhibit I've personally ever seen thus far in my life. Sincere Respect & Thanks to ALL Body Donors.
The quest to stay healthy has never been clearer after viewing this exhibit

This is one of our favorite museums to visit. General admission is free, we always leave a donation though. They have some exhibits that are constant and some that rotate in and out. We recently went for the King Tut exhibit, it was amazing! It is a bit of a drive for us, but worth it. They have an IMAX theater, those tickets are extra and vary price wise. They have great rooms for toddlers, discovery rooms, where it is enclosed and they have lots of hands on stuff.

They habe abusive live animal displays. The worst being a road runner and Turkey vulture locked in a tiny super dark indoor room with no natural sunlight and the ceiling is painted almost a black navy color. The road runner looks so depressed. Even sadder by nature they like to sunbathe at the top of the highest tree, so goes the Turkey vulture but they are in a tiny dark room with fake plastic cactus, and I requested to speak to the executive director of the museum but they ignored me and my concerns for these birds and all the other animals in the desert exhibit, it s inhumane and cruel, not only the lack of natural sun factor but also that by nature roadrunners can run up to 60 mph yet this one has no breathing room.

Greatly designed science museum with a good infrastructure. All around there are many affordable parking lots, many exhibitions were apparently free to visit and were designed very interesting. Our highlight was of course the Space Shuttle Endeavor.

It's a free center for all kinds of science education, great for families, couples, or killing some time by yourself. Its Ecosystems area is newer and has lots of cool animals. They also have the space shuttle Endeavor which is a must see if you've never seen a shuttle in person before.

The California Science Center admission is free. The Space Shuttle Endeavour exhibition require reserved tickets but may be free with IMAX ticket purchase. Parking at the center is $12 per car, or if you are early/lucky, you can find 4-hr ($1 per hour) street parking on side streets. The food court is great with varios options ( taco / seafood / pizza / burgers) There is a sizable seating area indoor and outdoor. Almost all exhibits and IMAX Theater are wheelchair accessible.
There are many scientific exhibits to engage kids and adults alike. All of them are very informative with some that are interactive and immersive to educate the visitors while having fun. The space shuttle Endeavour is 78 feet wide by 57 feet high by 122 feet long. It starts with a walkthrough informational exhibit and a short film of The journey getting to Los Angeles flying across the US on the back of a 747 from Florida. There's a huge empty fuel tank, parked outside the space shuttle exhibit. A new exhibition wing is being designed to house both the Endeavour and the huge Tank. There are various motion-based simulators (like hurricane and earth quake) but expect the lines to be long on the weekend (25 min when we visited)

Great museum for the free price! They had a lot of really cool exhibits, and I like the aquarium area and the opportunity to see the Endeavor. You can definitely spend a lot of time here, and it is really cool that it is completely free.

This is a great hands on museum to bring kids to. We took our grandson to see the Science of Dogs exhibit. Quite interesting but maybe a little too educational for a 4 year old. He did love pressing all the buttons! Loved the demonstration with live dogs.

My family & I have been coming the the Science Center for decades and have never been as disappointed by our experience as we were today. Many of the exhibits were closed, broken, or missing. It was so crowded with visiting camps & day cares we weren't able to experience much anyway. We left disappointed.

One of my favorite places to go. I've been going there since I was a kid. There are a lot of great things to see and do. Lots of wonderful science learning exhibits. The price is also great, FREE! Parking is not however. The Rose garden is great as well, have a picnic there. Also the natural history museum, the African American museum, and the aerospace museum are on the same campus. You can easily spend the better part of a day here.

It's better to come very early, from 10 am and on. Fridays areost busy, that's when they're field trips. On Fridays it's best to come after lunch time. We had so much fun here, in about 3 hours looked at and explored all the museum, excluding the exibitions.
