We went to the Center mainly to see the Shuttle (I am Space enthusiast). Our idea was to spend some minutes in the center before heading to the Shuttle Pavillion, and then go to visit the city. Long story short: we spent a couple of hours in the Science Center alone. It is very entertaining, with the possibility to understand why and how some things happen. My favourite part was the one dedicated to sismic areas: it was interesting for me to understand what could happen during an earthquake and what is now being done to prevent any tipe of damage.
Very good for kids, but for curious adults too!

This was such a fun way to spend an afternoon. We saw the space shuttle, king tut, and many more exhibits. Entry is free but make sure to get tickets in advance for the premium exhibits .

Amazing and wonderful place with lots to do, probably over a couple of days. Saw the Tut exhibit and the Endeavor shuttle. Both were amazing exhibits. Parking and food are expensive though.

Enjoyed the experience of seeing King Tuts Treasures. We went around 5pm it was crowed. Hard to read and look at everything with so many people. English descriptions were mostly on one side of each case. I wished they put English on both sides of each case. That should have relieved the crowd more. Other than that I loved seeing King Tuts rare treasures. My favorite part was seeing one King Tuts guardian spirit statue that guarded his tomb! Many of the items are their first time out of Egypt. Must see!

Will remain my "favorite" Science museum in the US. I haven't seen another museum so huge ( houses a space shuttle inside), so informative and entertaining (ranging from dinosaurs to spaceships), so catering to a variety of audience ( kids to adults to senior citizens) , and all this at no admission fee! The museum carries such history, would give you the goosebumps! Absolutely love this place, is a must visit if you are in LA!

We drove 2 hrs to come here!! Our day here was going perfect until we got to the dessert seccion around 4:11 to 4:30pm today Jan 11. My niece knocked a few times in the glass where the eagle is. One of the employees there was right behind me and she replied with very bad attitude: " Hey Hey!! Lady!!!" So I looked back to see who she was talking to while she continued saying: "Stop doing that lady!!"" She was talking to my seven years old niece. So I told my niece not to do that anymore, but while i was telling that to my niece the employee tells me in a very sarcastic way: " DON'T LOOK AT ME!! LOOK AT YOUR KID!!"". I asked her what was her name and she just walked away hiding her face. I just couldn't believe her attitude toward my little niece and even worse how she talked to me even when I didn't respond to her attitude!!! I don't know if she knows but her job to deal with kids!!!!!

A good place for family outing. I enjoy walking around it. Free entrance but have to pay for special exhibition or show. I took half a day to finish exploring it and I skipped a few sections. You may want to allocate a day for it. I continued to Natural History Museum besides it when I finished.

I went with two seniors, one with a walker. There is no signage. The Cleopatra exhibit is on the 3rd floor but you will not find that info posted anywhere. It was frustrating.

The employees were very professional, helpful and at times, apologetic. No signs explaining anything results in them being asked the same easy to answer questions a million times a day. They handled it all with grace.

The food in the Rose Cafe was priced well, fresh and very good. Don't get in the line for Taco Bell. Go around this line and into the cafe. We made this mistake due to no signage.

I would not go back to this museum. It is a very kid focused museum and I was unaware that it would be packed with strollers, running kids and unconscious parents.

So much to see - plan your day accordingly and enjoy.

Particular thank you to Robert M. of guest services who made the already awesome experience of seeing the Space Shuttle Endeavour in person even that much more amazing - he was very helpful and spent time going over a lot of fun facts / history and went out of his way to show us samples of the materials used on the exterior of the Space Shuttle - going in depth on each one. It was a pleasant experience and we were very grateful Robert was there to share his knowledge with us.

Was a fun trip the whole family will remember fondly.

Ok

Great science center and best of all it s free! Seeing the shuttle was absolutely amazing. There are many other exhibits that are great for the children and many hands on activities. The food isn t too bad but is just a little on the pricey side. You can easily spend a good 5-7 hours here.

I recently took the kids to the science center to see the space shuttle and the dogs exhibit happening right now. The center itself is pretty big and dialed in. The staff were super friendly, helpful and fantastic with the little ones. The shuttle exhibit was really cool to see up close, but would be nice to have a overlook to see it from a higher angle.

The Dogs exhibit was also cool, with lots of interactive stations and tons of great info. My little ones enjoyed running around touching everything, but the exhibit is really best suited for middle school and high school aged kids.

The LA Science Center was super impressive and I would highly recommend checking it out, especially if you have kids. The Space Shuttle exhibit makes it a place for all ages to visit and marvel at what humans can do when they put their minds to it.

Go see the space shuttle! Bring a lunch and make a day of the museum. Parking is very close to the entrance. The main museum is free, the shuttle is just a few dollars per person and visits are timed to keep it from getting too crowded. The guides in the hangar are very knowledgeable. Our was a gentleman who spent his career working on the engines.

Lots to see and do here especially if you have family / kids.
Very interactive.

The highlight for me was the Blackbird spy plane trainer on the outside and obviously the Endeavour space shuttle and it's fuel tank.
The volunteer guides are extremely knowledgeable and worth spending time with especially in the Endeavour hangar.

A must see attraction!

I remember visiting here as a kid. Very economical place to have fun and educate kids because price is your choice of donation. Some of the same exhibits need to be updated but great fun!

Free entry. Thoroughly enjoyed enjoyed the tide-cycling aquarium, as well as the open sea creature display and touch pool with starfish, snails, abalone and sea urchin. There numerous interactive displays, and it's a great way to spend an afternoon.
The space craft Endeavour and one of it's unused fuel tanks are also on display currently.
