There is so much to do and see! We came for the King Tut exhibit and ended up spending several hours exploring the rest of the museum. The King Tut exhibit was great. The way they space out the groups going though made the experience better. There were enough people in the exhibit but we were not all fighting for space.

The rest of the museum is great! If you haven t already seen the space shuttle exhibit you need to go! I never realized just how big it really was! They have a great history of the shuttle program from when they were created to launch day to how it ended up in Los Angles.

This interactive museum is for all ages. It also makes a great first date since most of the exhibit include some sort of hands on exploration. I highly recommend stopping by the baby chicks where if you are very lucky you will see a baby chicken hatch out of the egg. I also recommend stopping my the marine section to make your own waves and look at some of their marine animals. You can easily spend all day here and it may not be enough time for you to see the entire museum.

I had a great time at California Science Center. I especially enjoyed the Space Ship Endeavor exhibit. The aquarium was also wonderful. It is situated across the Coliseum and near the Natural History Museum. I will be returning.

This place is very interesting to know the Natural History of my Continental Territory, from the Paleolithic era to date, with modern museums on human anatomy, spaceships and ultrasound planes, plants from all over the world, there are also botanical gardens.

Two stars because while it has flashy exhibits, these are priced at a level that is unaffordable for many Los Angeles residents and are more "edu-tainment" than educational. This is in contrast to the 1970s-1990s, when it was the Museum of Science and Industry and was a free resource for children and schools across Southern California. Now the free, core offerings are very pathetic compared to that golden era, and the emphasis is on selling tickets to premium offerings. These offerings are a lot of flash but not a lot of substance. These offerings serve the top 10% of L.A.'s earners, and not a lot of anyone else. This is a shame given the proximity of this museum to some of L.A.'s lowest-income areas. It also contrasts poorly with the adjacent Los Angeles Natural History museum, which, while always charging for admission, has always been both affordable and school-friendly, and has done much to improve their core offerings to keep up with the times. Do yourself a favor, save some money, and go to the L.A. Natural History museum instead of the empty light show that is the California Science Center, at least until they make the museum as a whole free or nearly so.

I love the place. Really. Went with my family to the King Tut exhibition and it was really awesome. We got the combo: museum plus Imax movie. The store was good but prices a little too high. Next time I hope to see the rest of the center.

Museum entry is FREE & offers hundreds of things to see, watch & do for the entire family. The Food Court & souvenir store are pricey but all in all the museum is absolutely free to get in & for all the attractions, you really can't complain!

As the amazing King Tut exhibit. So many beautiful things, many that have never been out of Egypt before. Very informative and well done, definitely go see it before it closes in January. P.S. I wasn't impressed with the gift shop, but there were a few interesting books I took home.

Such a great museum! Perfect for a date, family day out or to take the kids. There's always something new to learn and see. The special exhibits are definitely worth the prices. General admission is free but I would recommend donating even something small. There is a lot to do so it is a perfect whole day option.

Love that this is free and one of the better science centers in the country. Great for kids - their California kelp and reef ecosystem exhibit is exemplary. Only thing that hurts is having to deal with the crowds, especially when multiple school buses roll up, so just try to choose your time wisely.

Super cool place to go with kids. So many things to learn about and see. You can't do it all in one visit. We loved the bonus exhibit of King Tut's artifacts. The movie about the exhibit was great and worth going to.

Great science center! Perfect for kids, and it is also good for adults. They have an endeavor (the spaceship!) exhibition for 2 bucks. They had a special limited Pixar exhibition that was really good

My boys (11 weeks 3, and 2 ) love this museum. We discover something new every time we come. The fact that most of it is free is amazing. Parking is a little expensive but well worth it.

To see the space shuttle it was necessary to book from the web and pay about 3 dollars online. I think that you can see it without problems even if you paid it the day before.
By the way, souvenirs are sold under the tip of the space shuttle. I am recommended because the price is also cheap.

This was a fun place to take the kids for an afternoon. There is lots to see and do. There are activities and movies to keep small ones interested. Adults aren't left out, either. The staff were helpful and engaging. Several showed a deep dedication to their exibits--demonstrating a wide knowledge of their chosen habitat.

If you like aerospace, it is a particular treat to see the retired space shuttle Endeavour. That was something I thought I would never get to do.

Unless you have no interest in science, you will find something interesting here.

The only downside was that a number of exibits were broken or poorly documenter so that you had no idea how they were supposed to operate--assuming that they even worked.

My wife and I primarily went there to see the King Tut exhibit which was excellent. We also ended up seeing the spaceship endeavor which was awesome! And realize there are many things there to check out and spend all day and had an excellent time

It's useless to reiterate my experiences if they're positive, since many before me gave good feedback. Although, the exhibits here are somewhat outdated, this museum is an invaluable educational resource for young people since it's by a donation admission. Unfortunately, that's something many persons take for granted. Many adults will regain their childlike wonder by the possibilities of science and uncovering our place in the universe, once they read the questions on concrete stones outside and among other things. It's relatively accessible to come here via freeway or the Metro Expo Line. There's a gift shop which one will find science decors, t-shirts and nerdy souvenirs, altogether. Interestingly, there's a beautiful century old garden between the science center and Exposition Blvd, that's probably my favorite part of the museum, since it's site is in front of the original entrance of the Natural History Museum. Finally, every year there's an exhibit on a particular topic, for example last year it was on "Body Worlds" and this year is on "King Tut." Usually, those exhibits cost money and last for about six to eight months. Overall, that's the science center in a nutshell.
