The King Tut exhibit was spectacular! I really enjoyed the fact that the tickets are timed, so when you enter the exhibit there aren't hundreds of people trying to see the artifacts at the same time. There's room for you to get up front, without blocking other's view. I bought the exhibit book, Tutankhamun. It's the centenial anniversary of the founding of the tomb. Autographed by the assistant curator of the Cairo Museum, it's a beautiful book with very high quality photos of all the exhibit pieces. Well worth the $50. I did not buy the $6 audio tour, but it might have been useful if you're really interested in even more detail. I also enjoy the IMAX movie, The Treasures of Egypt. Omar Sharif was always a favorite of mine, and his portrayal of the grandfather, and narrator, was perfect. We also visited the Endeavor Space Shuttle exhibit, included with your King Tut ticket. For lunch, we walked across the USC campus, to The Village. An area of many shops and restaurants featuring all types of foods, at reasonable prices. Plan to be at the exhibit most of the day.
