I'd recommend having plenty of time for check in in summer months. The self check in machines won't work sometimes and you'll need to walk all the way to the airline's counter. After the security check you enter the zone to wait boarding where you'll also fall on travellers who are arriving. Not many duty free shop options. I've seen better int'l airports in Europe.

This is well connected with the city through Arlanda express which takes just 20 mins and there are also plenty of other options like metro trains buses and taxis. The terminals and the gates are very easy to find out and this is surely a well organised airport. I have also stayed in the Radisson blu skycity which is well within the airport between two terminals.

Airport of very correct dimensions. All very well explained and indicated. It is very effective. Austere like everything direct but super functional. The Arlanda Express tea leaves you in 20 minutes in central Stockholm. Cheap and very fast.

By taxi is in about 40 minutes in Stockholm. But also by bus or Arlanda Express to downtown, which I will definitely try!

Ground personnel are helpful, but could be better, with questions you will be sent back to the monitors. However, a big praise to a certain floor steward is pronounced, which helped me a lot with my luggage (there is the 4th star).

Unfortunately, the "distances" between the terminals are quite long, so you are forced to run.

All the staff we encountered today were completely incompetent, it was an extreme reluctance to help and simplify, and as an onion on the salmon they were obviously straight out unpleasant. Check-in desk, Max staff, security check, yes all the way through.

Absolutely top airport, it is a big airport and therefore it can be a bit difficult to find but it is enough that you are a little bit read and look carefully for the right signs and plan a lot of time in their exchanges / traveling so it is excellent to find. There is a lot of business and entertainment. There is no reason to give the airport less than 5 stars!

Don't forget the correct ID document or passport, now it is empty on Arlanda. Don't forget that the buses from Beta take 15 min traffic plus 10 min to terminal 5 = arrive on time!

New routines, mouthguards, buy one, otherwise there is usually on Arlanda 150 - 200 SEK for 5 pieces, a must before boarding the aircraft.

Wondering if people think when to go out and travel, the insurance covers if you have Covid-19 when
You travel or get sick, some countries like Iceland take Covid-19 test when you land, if you have thought about traveling for 7 days and are positive, stranded in a foreign country until you get healthy, you can afford the added cost of food, hotel, care, etc. it will be interesting how it will be in the future .....

Upon check-in, it asks extra questions about your trip, it is up to you to do the right thing and keep track of the rules at your destination. Worst case, return the same day when everyone has not closed the border with Sweden. Flying to Finland is like in the 80s, there is border control with the question: - what should you do in Finland (Swedish citizen = must have documents with you, Finnish citizen = welcome, it checks your citizenship)

A very nice airport by the way.

The airport is ok. However, it took a while to get my l agguato back: half a hour. Toilette are relative clean and modern. Cafeterias are well distributed, but food is not of good quality.
Very positive is the food and easy connection with Stockholm with the Atlanta express. Not cheap, but worth the money.

If you like having to exit the departure areas and enter again between connecting flights, as well as staying in lines for security check on a stair, come to this great swedish airport.

Very good airport overall. There is so much to mention here really, food options, check-in screens, buses, long-term parking that smoothly takes one back and forth to the airport with their transportation. There is good service and well structured. The only thing I can mention as a bit negative is the toilets that I think should be more tight which has made it with smaller children and that it can feel endless to walk as there are such distances generally at the airport, has been at a couple of airports with a roller conveyor which facilitated copying.
Wishes would have been great wind protection outside the main centers in glass / insulated so you can wait for transport in at least reasonably warm / lack of wind when coming from the heat in winter.
This is it, in Sweden!

I was surprised at how disappointed I was in this airport.

WiFi limits you to 3 hours, and has a very low MB limit (if your apps update in the background, you'll be permanently kicked off).

No drinking water available except for in bottles, both wasteful and greedy at the same time.

There are a decent amount of power outlets, although they're hidden a bit, and not in ideal locations.

Who the hell is responsible for Sweden's largest airport? No toilets from gate 11-24. When I was there, a couple of thousand people stayed there. The toilets were downstairs! Damn how bad! An ill-considered and cramped airport straight off! And where are all the lounges hidden?!? To you who are responsible, take responsibility and stop embarrassing Sweden for this is a shamelessly low level. To all tourists, I apologize as Sweden can do considerably more than this!

The information does not work. There is a gateway on the info board for a flight, but there are information many hours before the scheduled flight already scheduled. No information on the transfer of the flight is provided, the desk staff only says "I dont know."

You pretty much get almost everything in the airport (including the power sockets), food, souvenir shops, banks, train & bus connections, restaurants, cafe's, taxis, one important observation is, the currency exchange offices here, they do not take coins of other countries, they are not taking, because it is not profitable, by managing them. Irony is they only take Swedish coins (not even coins from other European nations). Arrive early, trust me, this is one of the beautiful airports in Europe and the best one that I've visited.

Worthless airport. Always understaffed, it takes an eternity to get your bag on arrival and it's common that the plane can't let passengers off due to not enough people working.
On a few gates, there aren't even toilets. And on one floor there are bathrooms with only 2 toilets. And they plan to take on bigger planes.. a joke!!

Love the way they cater to your four legged family members. Some great little shops and restaurants to visit when traveling with children. Helpful staff throughout the airport and easy to follow signs in many languages.

Came home to Stockholm from the Middle East, Abu Dhabi and Doha, arrived to Terminal 5. First we had to stand still on the ground for 15 minutes, because there was not enough room for our aircraft to get in to the gate area, as a TUI 767 was about to depart. When finally at the gate, we had to wait another 15 minutes because the rampagent had trouble docking.. When finally on the airport facility, after 30 minutes wait, the escalator taking us down to passport control didn't work. When at the baggage belt, the first arriving luggage was all the cabin crew luggage. Funny how that would be the first to arrive, as they are the last to leave the aircraft. Had to wait another 15 minutes for our luggage, and we were the only aircraft on the Terminal 5 Pier F facility at that time.
I find it disruptive how this is supposed to be our capitals airport, a hub for connecting to other flights or welcoming you home, but this is how you get welcomed. Really embarrassing.

Modern airport with good connections to Stockholm. Either with the Alanda Express in 20 minutes for approx. 25 or with the regional train in 40 minutes for approx. 15 both to Stockholm Central.

The waiting times at the security checks can be checked online. Everything is very straightforward.

Short distances, small airport.

As a Swede we expect everything to run smoothly. Arlanda usually fulfill our need for this. It is, however, usually a quite busy airport considering its size. The queues to security could get really long, especially at terminal 4 and 5.

Arlanda is, however, a nightmare when it comes to traveling with infants. You are not allowed to bring your own stroller, it as to be cheked-in at the counters for special luggage. To assist you with your child, there should be strollers available to borrow for free. The problem is that they run out of them and you might need to carry your child instead. The problem re-occurs when arriving at Arlanda. There are no strollers available at the gate and you will have to carry your child all the way out, which can be a quite long walk. At the baggage claim, the wait for your own stroller can also get extensive. The special luggage, including the strollers, seems to be the last luggage to arrive at most occasions. Our worst experience was to wait 40 minutes. Your arm get quite tired after that.

Positive? The airport is quite clean and mostly everything works great. Just make sure to plan ahead and be there on time.

Usually some hassle. Bags whose contents get broken, delayed departures without explanation why, giant food everywhere, and stressed (but friendly) staff. It may be because there is more to keep track of than at Landvetter. It may also be that other airlines are late & that other airports have handled luggage badly, hard to say.

I think Arlanda is a good place. But there are some staff who act really stupid. I asked for a thing and they were just over. Some staff need to be improved and some are really good. I like the place and it's easy. They should do more restaurants such as Max or Burger King.

Most of the airport personnel is very friendly. Could use with clearer signs. Tried to follow the sign to the busses and had to stop like 3 times to ask for directions, because their signs would abruptly stop in the middle of nowhere.

Maybe time for dinner or late fika for the employee at Arlanda arrivals!!! One and half hour waiting for the luggage from Greece!!!
COME ON SWEDEN YOU CAN DO IT BETTER THAN THE 3TH WORLD !!!!!!!

Decent amenities, but all the around 10 employees under 50 we talked to seemed uneducated, uninterested and impolite. Now we have to call the airlines to get our money back from their mistakes.

Arlanda getting better and better. To go from Terminal 5 is an enjoyable experience. The worst would be the incredibly high prices of the food you can buy inside the security check. Getting to terminal 5 is also nice, until you get to the luggage drop-off. I hope they try to renew this part soon. There are bags here and where if you come in at night, it is messy and no staff as far as the eye can reach. You do not feel so welcome home each time.

It is a well-equipped airport, with many shops and places to eat. In addition to internet sites where you can charge the laptop, mobile etc. It does not have many difficulties to move. The staff not too friendly. For those who want to take a taxi, round between 50 and 60 euros
It also works in addition to public transport Uber

The airport is nice and clean. Lines after check in can be long and take quite some time, specially when a lot of tourists are travelling. Eating places are OK, and shopping (duty free) is quite OK specially compared to Stockholm prices. Range is not bad either.
Restaurant (I have only tried breakfast) are quite good but rather expensive.

Worst luggage handling airport in Europe! You are a disgrace how long you make travelers wait for their luggage, going on Domestic flight and have to wait for 40 minutes on my luggage! Shame on you, bigger airports handle international luggage faster than you do domestic. Last time I use your piece of #@$7 airport, next time I'll go to Bromma! You suck!

Very convenient for everyone. Yeah all services available for free could be a bit expensive other things that need to buy. Very clean and many transport options for you. ..local busses ,direct buss, trains .... etc

Modern, beautiful but spacious

Modern, beautiful but spacious

Stockholm Airport is very nice and has lots of shops, seating and one or the other smoking area.
As a Star Alliance passenger, you can check in at the terminals yourself, and the following security checks went very smoothly with us. The spaciousness and the large amount of space, which is very nice on the one hand, is also a disadvantage on the other. All very long distances.
The Arlanda Express towards the city center is definitely recommended.

Arrival immigration for foreigners was horrible. 3/4 lines were for EU, ESP and CH...and all others in one line. Took almost 40 mins. I totally understand serving your citizen but when the citizen lines are empty and they still refuse to serve other nationalities is a horrible welcome. All immigration booths are capable of the same functions but rather have 50 visitors wait all in one line for almost an hour just to get in. The food markets were good and bathrooms were clean.

Bright and spacious modern room. Original architecture and interior decoration. There is where to wait for a flight with relative comfort. Prices, like the Ukrainian wallet, are not large. There is almost no queue. The staff is professional. Organization of the airport's work at a high level. From the airport to the city you can get by taxi or bus.

The airport is modern and functional, well connected by public transport. If instead you want to use a taxi, I suggest you always choose the company that uses black cars with a big green leaf on the side. These are the "official" taxis, which cost from the airport to Stockholm and vice versa 575 SEK. Attention to all other taxis, the cost of the ride with these is 625 SEK!
