Very organised, staff is well behaved, a quiet place with lots of shopping options along with restaurants and cafes.

Avoid!! Worst airport I've been to. Ages queueing for security check and then again ages queueing for passport check, just to let staff through first. Clearly customers come last and can wait hours, but staff members who have no clue what they are doing can easily just cut the line. Nearly missed my flight.

Nice airport, but customer support during "technical problems with flight information" was a disaster!!!
I hope they can improve and look to establish solutions when such problems arise.

A busy, busy airport. There are plenty of amenities, from food choices to shopping.

It can take a bit of time to get through security, please plan accordingly. Swedes are pretty good about rules, hence you can remain seated until you are called.

If you speak English, you are going to be quite comfortable navigating around the airport.

The best option to and from the airport, while a bit pricey, is the airport express.

Okay, but the terminals give a worn impression from an international perspective

One of Europe s most inconvenient place, placed to far away from the city, (or any city) security is rubbish and totally not into there jobs.
The airport has great information about your flights.
The decor is outdated (renovations 2019) the whole atmosphere is crowded.
I ve been to plenty of airports, this one is just top 10 worst. The staff around the place is super rude.

The transportation from the airport is not great, it s very expensive. Especially by train. Super hard to access information.

I think it's very clear and good here. The giant Frankfurt cannot keep up with that

I have requested a weelchair in advance. I arrived at 05:30 am went to the Support Checkin at DAS Terminal 5. They sent me to the INFORMATION desk. They make me waiting for 45 minutes!! Worst service asisstance I ever experienced in 12 European airport. Total lack of commitment towards a disabeled traveler.

We landed at Terminal 5 and had to go to Terminal 4, unfortunately the lettering wasn't as good as it turned out.
We had to hurry to get our connecting flight.

State-of-the-art airport. It's hard not to find the gates .. everything is clear even for those who don't know English

Desert airport. All shops closed. Looks like east Germany

We fly with our dog to Eindhoven. In addition, the staff are so friendly and helpful. It turned out at customs that we had two Swiss officer knives in our hand luggage. These are neatly sent. The staff of Eindhoven and Schiphol should do an internship here. The five stars more than deserve

Good opportunities to get to Stockholm collectively. Good shops and good service.

The security is layer out weird so you can't go to shops after security and also the wifi didn't work. As well as this for my gate I had to go through anouther passport check so I was stuck in a small waiting room with 1 meagre shop in and no desk to be able to do work. Overall the whole experience was boating and stressful because of the unusual lay out of the airport .

Far away from the city. Railway connection with Stockholm OK.

Sour check-in staff. It costs nothing to smile and wish the passengers a pleasant journey !! Otherwise change jobs

Good Airport has 5 terminal but to much empty spaces

It was a nice place and all until I had to go to my gate and there was only one person for the passport line and when I got into the international flight there was a freaking dumb girl and two guys with der babies and was really loud and disrespectful. They ask u random questions when u get into ur gate and packs all the people for a certain flight into a small room with dumb people and the bathroom line is too long like an idiot got infront of us and was talking creepy to herself like why. Sorry if it was long ;-;

Badly designed for connecting flights, one has to exit first then passing security line again! Awfully long walk especially for short layover, I hope they didn't design it so bad so that people will start to use fast track service(which makes a huge difference). The facility otherwise is good.

Good planning and good selection of shops, hotels and restaurants!

Arlanda Airport is a fantastic place for me and i always feel welcome there. The attendants are super. My wife lost her mobile phone there sometimes ago and we got it back the following day. Tack tack Arlanda.

The P-sites for arrivals are very under-dimensioned in number.

It was really nice. Easy access, easy check-in, easy management, supportive and friendly staff allover. Flight operations are also accurate and carefully managed. Very nice experience always.

Nice big interesting international airport. Convenient to navigate. Many interesting large shops, cafes. Enough seats to wait for the flight. Friendly service ..

We visited Stockholm twice in 2011 and 2014, both times arrived and departed from Arlanda Airport both times were very pleased! Excellent organization of work of all airport structures. Moreover, because of their stupidity, they were late for boarding the plane, there was an idea that Prague was postponed for some time, but they treated us like dear guests and the airport staff did so that my wife and I did not have time to take a breath and ended up on the plane! There was a very good impression about Sweden in general and about the airport in particular !!!

Large airport and very modern. Lots of gift shops and food places to eat at as well.

Quite good like most of nordic airports, but not good if you have to change foreign to domestic. Other good and try Max fastfood

You have already checked in via the internet, usually the passport control is quite fast depends on when you arrive and I have had no problem. The staff is nice but often does not say much but I do not complain it is Sweden. There are a few shops beyond the border but expensive to always buy the golden Marabou chocolate cookies before we go so it is a classic. Recommend

Only 3 hours of internet for life. Even though SAS flys for Iceland air, there are no signs starting as such.

So used to using ARN as my get off point easy and no hassle airport..

There are 3 main transportation methods for the city 1. Taxi is around 600 SEK and there are different companies 2. Fast train is 280 SEK per person and if you are 3 people taxi is cheaper 3. The last method is 150 SEK per person to get on the bus

A little scary to see everyone with a face mask, so few people. Hope soon it will be as usual again

An airport just, big but very well signposted and the staff very helpful.

Terminal 5: Quick pleasant service, clean bathrooms and reasonably priced coffee shop in the waiting area. The coffee however could dowith an improvement.

Waiting for the luggage for 50mins now (And it s not here yet). Given that the flight lasted 1h, this is unacceptable. Flight on 04.01.2020 Riga-Stockholm, BT109.

Wonderful airport with all basic amenities.
Free hi speed wifi. Train and bus (flygbussarna) with on board wifi to Stockholm central. Taxis are also available but costlier. Check-in and immigration is fast and on time usually.

Very unwelcoming! Too little staff on check in made our flight 40 minutes late. Unpleasant parking guards. Wish there was an alternative to ARN.

What is the airport done with drop off / pickup for departing and arriving. You can not stand in a simple place as a private person and pick up / leave someone. Not everyone takes a taxi or takes a bus / train from the city center

A bizarre airport on the surface it looks good but has the strangest practices. After checking in go through the priority security only to find as you turn the corner it's closed. Staff watching but say nothing.
Then want to go to the gate, where the business lounge and cafes are. No not possible, immigration gates are not staffed, no signs and no explanation. So all the passengers left sitting clueless waiting. What a funny way to run an airport.

Processing is bungled, unprofessional, too few staff and chaotic. There are hardly any announcements and you cannot hear them in the toilets!


The arrival is a bit strange but the check-in is awful. Lufthansa is also partly to blame because even with online check-in you could not use the regular baggage drop-off but can queue up for long queues. Then there is a gigantic line to the line for the security check. There are 2 checkpoints for the fast lane, and only 2 counters for ALL INTERNATIONAL air traffic. Great. In the end the whole thing took almost 2 hours despite the online check! And almost everyone rushes to the gates. Our flight was of course delayed because all the passengers were just dripping off.

Good facilities and food, easy to find what you want. Tad expensive - but then again, what were you expecting coming here?

A perfectly fine, clean, spacious airport with all the usual facilities. The airport is well connected with multiple transit options ranging from 15 /40 Minute bus ride to 43,50 ... still 30 minutes of taxi. People are friendly and helpful wich i experienced on multiple events.

I love Arlanda airport. One of the most efficient and cleanest airports around the globe .... and I have seen many during the past 35 years.

Sweden Stockholm-arlanda airport is a treasure,, everything is as simple as possible, it have a bus transportation between terminals and if i remind, they go in every 15 minutes, the gates are clearly visible and has mant restos offcourse around the gates,, there are many bus and train shuttles to different citys and also a taxi. The fares with taxi to stoxkholm they prom's is around 500 swedish krons, if you tranel with habdbaggage or nothing, then you just like walk through there.. Have had a positive visit..

A very boring airport, extremely expensive prices at the restaurants, though very convenient with a direct bus to Karlstad.

Nice airport with friendly and professional service. Everything is clean and modern but there is nothing to do, when other airports have some game rooms, kids area, gym, different corners etc. Good thing is there is plenty of charging tables and comfortable chairs.

One of the best airport , staffs are very nice and toilets are clean it actually smells like a five star hotel all in all this is the best in Nordic airports

I know an official complaint wont go anywhere, but at least I will share my experience.
Departing on27th Jan from Terminal 5 ( an evening security team).
I got selected for additional screening. The gentleman just wanted to throw my backpack inside out to see whats inside, I stopped him and just opened and took out everything myself.
Then the same security guy, took my kids 1.5 month chocolate bar, and squeezed with fingers ( crashing it all) asking is it liquid?
In addition to this, now there was an Children water bottle with a minimum 50 ml of boiled water inside, what became a problem, he asked to taste it, i did. Then he said he need to scan it, witch he did and said its not ok water.
Whatever ,,not ok water was I took another bottle that was same water and was already mixed with medicine ( around 200 ml) and showed him as it went threw the scanner and it was ok.
Then he said he is going to scan that first bottle one more time, in different scanner. And finally was ok. The gentleman went to different scanner in a very slow manner ( he did it on purpose as we all can see it).
Then I just asked to be searched by other security guard, as this one is just picking staff on purpose.
I was yelled by the woman, that I called the guy racist .

Both water bottles ( that were ok to go already by 2 security guys) were taken away and thrown out, one of them containing medicine). I was told i can refill the water in the toilet.

When I managed to speak to team leaders, they would not listen that the problem was about the water bottles, trying to put everything on the Racism topic.

I am very upset as I was called a racist, by a woman security guard at security/liquid checkpoint at Terminal 5.

I know that my word goes against 4-5 security personnel and no one will rewind the cameras to investigate.

But this is the experience...

Love Arlanda Airport. It's easy to get around. Have been there countless times. I have never had any problems there. If hungry there are some great ears there.

I don't like this airport it is in need of much modernisation most of the other Scandinavian airports are state-of-the-art whilst this one seems to be left behind. If you are coming off a very long flight it is not a very welcoming airport and the departure lounge is dirty
