I went here previously a few years ago for blue light therapy for pre skin cancer. I had a severe reaction to the treatment, but need to do it again. I tried calling as I have no dermatology that is in network, so this is all out of pocket in these times of Covid, it's not easy. They said I need a $250 appt to even see them and they would give me no idea of what the treatment might cost me. I will not return and cannot recommend unless time and money is no concern for you.

Dr. Smith is one of a kind. Her attention to detail whether it be during a skin check or the right course of action on cosmetic dermatology far exceeds any other dermatologist I have seen. I am also a huge fan of the SMD product line. I have replaced all of my products with their line. Nothing but compliments all the way around!

Dr. Ashley Smith McNamara is an excellent dermatologist. A patient for many years, I continue to be impressed with her professionalism. Whatever medical situation she is presented with, she always go the extra mile to find a solution. Her office and office staff are exceptional. It is obvious when you walk in the door that everyone is happy and eager to please all patients. They are all 5 Stars in my opinion !!!

I met Dr. Ashley Smith years ago through a mutual friend and immediately switched dermatologists. She is a fantastic doctor and her staff could not be nicer. When my hair started falling out, her partner Dr. Westphal was able to help me get my hair back! All around solid practice. Could not recommend it more.

The docs here are A++ and Harvard educated. My family has some serious skin conditions and both myself and my kids have always gotten the best care here. There are cosmetic options too but the medical dermatology solved several previous misdiagnoses with our son and rendered some of the best care I ve witnessed.

The Southern Marin Dermatology staff went above and beyond to assist me. Elizabeth Novak is one of the best medical professionals I ve met with to date. She s kind, incredibly well-informed on treatments, gave thorough explanations, and took time to answer all of my questions. Elizabeth and Shawna resolved a particularly challenging insurance situation on my end with grace and professionalism. They kept me up to date with each change and made sure I received the treatment I needed. All of the front desk staff and assistants are warm and responsive. Easily the best experience I ve ever had with a medical office. I m so grateful to all of Southern Marin Dermatology for their care and service during my process.

As a general rule I don t care much for medical offices. Southern Marin Dermatology has been a striking and consistent contrast to this sentiment for me over the last several years. The professional and compassionate staff and doctors first and foremost put me at ease. Then they listen intently and patiently as I mumble about my latest roll in poison oak or when I started experiencing this or that. Finally, they get me fixed up and on my way with a new lease on life. On a side note, the view of Richardson Bay and Tiburon from their waiting room should definitely show up on travel websites as a must-see in Sausalito. Southern Marin Dermatology is just plain exceptional.

Dr. Smith is the best. I was referred by my girlfriend and was a little bit worried about having to drive from San Francisco up to Marin but it's totally worth it!
