One of my favorite places to visit, tacos and tequila! Though I am partial to their burritos. Owner is friendly and is there a lot of the time and there s a good chance he ll stop at your table and say hello

I went here today 1/12/19 and I took my foot off the red stool for one minute and the woman who apparently is the owner came over and said, " can I use this." She didnt even allow me to respond and she took the stool away from me. The party she was giving it to saw what happened and brought the stool back over. This was my first time at this place I loved the food and the atmosphere so I wanted to let the owner know what she unintentionally did. I walked over to her and said, "hello! How are you?" and attempted to explain what just happened and to offer her some advice. This woman stopped me while I was talking and did a Ghetto Girl neck roll and said, "I know you did not come over here to yell at me. I am the owner." I said, I dont care if you are the cook you are not going to talk to me like that. She yelled, "get out." I dont know if the well dressed man was her husband or part owner but he jumped in front of her and told me I had to leave while I was already packing my things. A young guy came to escort me out while the "owner continued to say, "get out! Go!" As a Black educated progressive woman I am extremely disgusted and offended because I was very polite and spoke to her very professional to start and I am not sure if she was drunk or not but I do feel she was doing all those Ghetto moves to try to insult me or match the image that defines a black woman in her mental lexicon. I wont ever go back there even if the food was free and that was the last restaurant in the world.

Great experience! It gets a little loud but that's okay. The water is served from gas cans! So funny. Food and atmosphere were enjoyable. I sat there for at least 2.5 hours catching up with a friend and they didn't even bother us. I'll definitely revisit.

Overpriced and over hyped. Wife and I have had numerous visits to The Red Cadillac over the years but last night will surely have been our last. We sat at the bar and patiently waited for our appetizers and tacos while drinking some sub par margaritas, for what seemed like forever. The bartender did not seem to care as his only concern was to continually fill up our drinks to drive our bill up. After eating and drinking three margaritas each we received our bill that was about $150. I do not mind paying high prices for good food and good service but this was far from it. To top it off I got sick right after leaving and had to put an early end to our night out. Stay away as there are much better alternatives out there that are just as close to home.

If you want to over pay for mediocre food and horrible service go ahead and give this place a shot.

Very nice upscale Mexican cuisine with a car themed motiff. A bit pricey but worth it. The jalapeno margherita made with their house made jalapeno infused tequila is my new favorite margherita. The chicken and butternut squash was fantastic and the chorizo cheese skewers were a new but fun experience. Great date night place.

The food and drinks are always an A plus here. I don't think I've had any negative food experience so far. If you order appetizers, prepare for big sharing portions! If you're always up to try new things, they always have different specials.

I initially stopped by this place for a date and it was packed! Parking was limited - although the pro is they did have valet parking. So I gave it another shot on a different night and we enjoyed ourselves. I remember the sangria and guacamole were amazing - and that's what's important!!

Side note: the penny floors are awesome in the bathroom!

This place is really cool if you liked themed eateries. The menu is simple but you know what you are there for. The steak or fish tacos are the best. Try the tow truck margaritas! They taste great and have a nice hit.

Lame service, very loud, at first I gave red Cadillac two stars. Shortly after we returned home my step daughter became extremely ill! She vomited for over an hour and had diarrhea for the rest of the night, luckily no else had what she ate. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO TO THIS AWFUL PLACE!!! It is too bad that this system won't allow users to give negative stars, three black holes, perhaps

Loved my birthday lunch with my great friend Donna. I had the daily special fish tacos Donna had Enchiladas. And we shared nachos. And if course a Margarita. To top it off got a picture with Bill Parcells. Made my day.

THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN NORTH JERSEY!!!

THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN NORTH JERSEY!!!
The food is awesome, the service is impeccable, and the atmosphere is truly unique. From the chandelier made from auto parts, to the flower pots with mufflers and a menu that is top notch you won't find another dining experience like it. The staff is friendly and dedicated to making your time there worth every cent. The food cannot be better. With regular Mexican fare to specials that are offered, you'll get plenty of food to enjoy. Not to mention the home made chips and salsa, which are amazing, and come out as you're seated (they're complimentary). The warm chips are great, and the salsa is amazing. I get it's just chips and salsa, but once you eat it, you'll get why the word amazing doesn't do it justice...
They also offer different tequilas, which you're offered to try at the end of the meal. They have specials daily, and there are plenty to choose from. If you tweet, or post about your experience, you'll also get a free Red Cadillac tee shirt. It's a wonderful place that I've eaten at, and made sure to bring friends to because of how great an experience it offers. It's one of Jerseys hidden gems, and you will certainly return once you've tried it.
There aren't enough adjectives to describe how great a place it is. Go, eat, and enjoy.

Nice hidden gem. From the outside it looks tiny but once inside you'll see an open space with a lot of style. Tacos are delicious and the drinks are consistent. The staff is more attentive than most. Great place to just lounge

I've been to the Red Cadillac twice, both times I had the Coupe Da Ville Chicken, which I enjoyed , loved the balsamic vinaigrette on the salad, the salad compliment the chicken extremely well. My friend had the Fish Tacos, which she enjoyed as well. Both times were good experience, although the 2nd time service was extremely slow, but I can't complain since I enjoyed my meal. I recommend this spot when in the Union area, but keep in mind, they're closed on Mondays, parking can be a night mare depending on when you go, but again, the food is good & the drinks are equally as good. Bon appetite.

I would easily drive an hour or more to eat here. The food is the best Mexican I ve had and the service is it s equal. Everyone there works so hard to make sure the customers are taken care of. A+ all around!

I saw good reviews online and thought to see what the fuss was. The customer service, decor, and atmosphere were all nice if I was just looking for a drink, Americanized Mexican food and a TV. The same amount of effort that goes into the customer service and making the atmosphere interesting should go into the food. Sizzling fajita platters and TGI Friday s type of service/decor seems to be what draws crowds but it just wasn t enough for me.

Three stars just because our waitress was a cutie :-) and the staff members were very polite. I appreciated that very much.
The food was just ok. I didn't even bother ordering anything for myself when I saw these outrageous prices! $9 for a bottled Coors Light In that part of NJ?!? Give me a damn break! Plus they automatically add 20% to your bill if your group is 5 or more (as if this place isn't already overpriced) The menu is very limited. They don't even serve deserts. The place itself is not that nice inside. The entire dining experience was basically... mediocre. To me, not worth the price of admission so I definitely won't be going back there. And to top it all off, we had to pay to valet park in that tiny little parking lot in the back! Valet on a Friday afternoon??? Really?!? I hope the owner of this establishment sees this comment; GET RID OF THAT UNNECESSARY VALET. It's a rip off!!

The atmosphere is very friendly for families with children as well as adults. Their decorations choices and setup are very comfortable. The staff is always checking on their patrons. I will strongly recommend this place for a local stop in. Thank you Red Cadillac

An interesting decor idea, The Red Cadillac is easily found at night, not just by its namesake car out front but the glowing red lighting. This place is usually quite full, but even so I've never felt the wait time to be unreasonable. Their menu is tiny, but what they offer is amazing. They also have house infused tequila. Go with a group and order a road trip, it's a flight of 6 of their flavors (your choice), and it's a great way to find out which ones you like.

Red Cadillac use to be 1 of my favorite Mexican restaurants to go but I moved. I would of gave them 5 stars but some rules and regulations I just cant get with. For instance. I went there 1 day with a dressy tank top on and they told me I need to put a shirt on mean while the lady right next me didn't have on sleeves. I would think a ladies shoulders would be more of a sexist thing [ if I'm using the term correctly] then a man's. Also the hat policy is ridiculous. You tell me I can't wear a baseball hat but I can wear a fedora or any hat compared to that. I'm still the same person, hat or not. If I wanted to start trouble if that's what you're assuming cause of a baseball hat, the hat wouldn't matter. Just my thoughts and opinions.

Can t believe this place doesn t allow hats.... Can someone please remind the owner that they are located in Union,New Jersey and serve tacos. I was wearing a thin blue line hat supporting local police but was asked to remove it due to their dress code. Although, the hostess is wearing an oversized track sweatshirt and combat boots, and the girl sat at the table next to us has half of her boob hanging out. I have been here MANY times and do enjoy the food, i feel if you re going to enforce a dress code don t subject it to JUST hats.
