My children and I really enjoyed our visits. There are lots of things going on to engage my 5 and 2 year old. They especially love the 4d cinema.
We had a fun day and learned a lot about the history of chocolate, manufacturing and advertising.
We did avoid buying the photos and cafe food as a day out here can get very expensive. The chocolate we got on the tour lasted us a good long while and we were even given chocolate for the two children who were under 4 that went free.

Nice place. Was expecting something more. Could not smell any chocolate aroma at all. Just one chocolate tasting place. Comparing to German Lind factory, Cadbery factory needs a lot of improvement. I must say I am very disappointed!!!

A really good experience - I took my 3 young kids and they loved it. I think it is a place to visit when it is dry because of the outdoor play areas. The 4d ride was excellent but i did feel that the over -commercialisation in some aspects of the tour such as the mandatory photo shoot seriously dents an otherwise good day out.

Busy and not recommended for those with younger children that get bored easily in a queue. Booked a time for the part guided tour (as recommended) but there should also be bookable times for the cadabra ride as a 40 minute queue for a short ride was a bit too long of a wait with a 5 and 2 year old so abandoned that queue as there was nothing interesting for them to do whilst in the queue, not even fun facts on the wall or something similar. 4d experience was good, but again the queue can get long, luckily only 10 minutes for us. Chocolate making would be good if they had steps for the smaller children to see what was happening and have a go as even the lower table was still too high. Steps would also be good for some of the cabinets dotted around the place and for the windows in the chocolate making areas for the little ones to be able to see but can appreciate that there isn't space in certain parts of the building for a walkway and a step. If you've got children still in a pram or buggy then don't bother going as you're forever getting them in and out and this isn't in reference to the factory tour where they don't allow prams. There is almost nothing fully visible from a buggy and if it's busy then nothing will be visible other than others backsides.

Superb

It's a shame the packaging plant wasn't functional but they are remodelling so I'll just have to go again when it reopens in 2018!

It was ok not really much for kids I took my son 6 and daughter 3 I don't mind queing but there's nothing to do for kids in the ques so when u have keep queing to do the different things I'd expect some interaction things for kids like u get at Alton towers when queing . I wouldn't be rushing back soon there's definitely better places for kids and your money's worth

We had a really good day out, there was plenty to keep the kids (3 and 5) interested, the tour was fun and the free samples were tasty. The melted choc pot handed out was a big hit as were the activities; writing your name in chocolate, seeing the 'speciality' items being made and the interactive exhibits at the end of the tour (stamping on chocs and easter eggs on the interactive floor etc). After the main factory tour, don't miss out on 'Essence' which is an interesting short presentation, cleverly done and then more melted chocolate tasting along with your choice of filling. The outdoor kids play area is really good but does get closed when it's wet <insert health and safety gone mad rant of your own>. They did reopen it just before we had to leave and the equipment would have entertained us for a good while longer.
Unfortunately we didn't have time to look round the rest of the Bournville village which is probably worth a couple of hours walk in itself, beautiful place.
The cafe/restaurant is OK but really not a recommendation. It's a bit like eating in a very busy factory canteen and the choice for kids was pretty poor.

Great day out but bring a picnic to sit outside or make alternate plans for eating :-)

You're going to leave with a bit of a sugar high...it is a great experience to tour the factory as it is quite interactive and there are a lot of optional things to do there, like the children's play area outside and an experience where your chairs move and you're wearing 3-D glasses, all included in the price of the ticket. I could see this being an all-day event for a family.
You get multiple free bars of chocolate throughout the tour as well as some melted chocolate at one point. Their factory store has really good deals on chocolate and gifts.

Don t go if you re an adult on your own, or only have other adults for company. While children may still enjoy it , it is simply not as fun as you d expect it, and the chocolate prices isn t much of a difference .

Great place to visit, for a brief history of chocolate and of the Cadbury business. Get there early as it soon becomes busy, but avoid temptation in the gift shop as a lot of the chocolate is cheaper in supermarkets.

We visited here recently for our daughter's birthday and we had a great time. We got a morning time slot, would highly recommend this to anyone visiting at peak times as it got very busy inside the venue as we were ready to leave. I didn't award 5 stars as the cafe was poorly run, long wait to be seated and long queue for food - family offer didn't include the majority of meal choices so very limited as to what we could have. Overall a great experience, lots of interactive areas and large outdoor play area. We got 3 full size bars of dairy milk, oreo and crunchie each for free as we walked through the factory.

Lots of interesting stuff to learn about chocolate, and the history of Cadbury. The 'ride' of how they make chocolate was fun, and there was a little indoor river ride (like Disney's Small World) as well. We got 3 free chocolate bars each.

An amazing history of chocolate and the Cadbury company and brand. Nestled in the wonderful surroundings of Bourneville, the Cadbury World experience is something the whole family can enjoy. Also, they give out plenty of chocolate on your way round.

Had a lovely time with family, lots of fun but educational too. Better to book online to choose a convenient time to visit, no need to queue at entry. The chocolate treats were very good. Kids enjoyed.

Very nice place to visit with kids. You can taste tasty Cadbury chocolates as well as get an opportunity to explore history, variety, process of making Cadbury chocolates. Also, there is an amusement park available. Train ride is amazing - kids enjoy at this place a lot. Have a nice time!

I didn't think much to the cafe because they don't tell you where you need to wait for your food so I was standing where I had ordered to get my food but it turned out to be by the till.
